About this house rental
Our Beautiful Town homes are located at Cannes Village, on Silver Point Drive, on the most incredible, white sand beach in Freeport. I am the developer of these 18, privately owned units and currently have 3 town homes for rent or sale. The units have been completely upgraded, are modern, very clean and everything is like new. Each unit has everything one needs for comfort and enjoyment. Each unit has an oceanfront terrace overlooking the beach, and ocean. There is a private pool with lounge chairs available to all. The downstairs level of our town homes has a full kitchen, with everything one needs to cook and be comfortable, a dining area with 6 chairs, a living room that opens to a patio directly on the ocean ( 30 feet away in our 3 bedroom, ground floor units!) As we have 3 units, the bed configuration is as follows: 2 queen beds and a queen sofa bed in our 2 bedroom unit, and one of our three bedroom units has a king bed, a queen bed and a double bed. The other three bedroom unit has a king , a queen and a bedroom with two twin beds The upstairs guest rooms have a queen size Temporpedic Memory foam bed. Master and one guest bedroom have their own private baths. The third bath is between the living and dining area(I have two almost identical units available right next to each other (units 102-VRBO 241525) and 103-VRBO 1139400) If your friends want to come, they can stay in 103 next to you. I also have 1 - 2 bedroom units #14- VRBO 1139394, also available in the other building on the property. Just let me know how many you would need for your group.)
The units are 800 feet from a great outdoor restaurant that features a full bar that you can sit in the pool and drink at as well as tables to relax and eat and drink. It is open for lunch and dinner with live music on Thursday and Saturday nights. Conch,a local shellfish, is prepared at a thatch palm kiosk right on the beach!. A convenience store is located walking distance from the townhouse. Also, just down the beach is Manta Ray, a full service restaurant and sports bar that is an awesome place to "chill".
We also have most US franchise fast food restaurants(only 1 of each) such as: Burger King, Kentucky Chicken, Subway, Domino’s, Pizza Hut (delivers). There is a 6 movie Cinema about 10 minutes away.
Port Lucaya Marketplace is 3 miles from the complex and has many restaurants and shops plus nightly entertainment in the Square. The nearest grocery store is also about 3 miles away in Seahorse Shopping Plaza.
At Port Lucaya, you can rent a boat, go sport fishing, learn to scuba dive and even swim with the Dolphins!
Cannes Village is a quiet place that has excellent beach security yet offers everything you will want. When you want 'activities' Island Seas Resort, directly adjacent to my complex, offers many activities including volleyball, jet ski rentals, bar, and two restaurant. Also at the Island Seas you can rent cars or sign up for deep sea fishing. The best bone fishing and snorkeling are right off our beach and there is a 'blue hole' about 1/4 mile from the unit, about 40 feet off the beach, where 1000's of fish are easy seen with a mask and snorkel. This is my home and all units are newly furnished in comfortable furniture and bedding. The units are well maintained and are complete with everything one would need. There are no pets allowed and a maximum occupancy of six people. When renting, you will be required to provide a photo ID for each person staying, as this is a requirement of our Condo Association.
Please feel free to call us anytime between 10 am and 11 pm
to ask questions, or email us.

our family of 5 enjoyed our stay here. plenty of room for us and right on the ocean. loved the breezes and ocean sounds at night. decor and furnishings were nicer than pictured. we met charles, the property manager at the check in time listed in vrbo. i am not sure what we would have done if arriving later as there were no other instructions. kitchen was pretty well stocked. beds were comfortable. A/C is noisy, I preferred not to use it. patio furniture is basic but I suppose there is a risk of theft. The area is pretty quiet and peaceful, almost like having your own private beach. the balcony had a great view. the property is close to restaurants, shops etc, just a short drive.

The cleanliness was beyond a 10! Plenty of pots and pans and dishes! Every bedroom was clean and had plenty of towels for your entire stay. Charles was so easy to ask questions about best place to eat, or drink. You are so close to dive shops and grocery store. The beach was amazing! The property inside and out was so well maintained. We had so much fun. Caught 3 lobsters right off the beach and ate them. The views I can not get over. This property is well maintained and we are looking at coming back in December

The unit itself was well laid out, spacious, and very comfortable and well- appointed. The upper patio was our favorite hangout, providing nice breezes and an excellent view of the beach and ocean. The beach was very walkable, and not very crowded. Some sort of foot ware is advised, as there was quite a lot of sharp glass pieces throughout the beach sand.
The resort next door does have a restaurant, but the menu is quite limited. The Manta Ray bar is now called Maxie’s, and is openly only one day a week (Tuesday’s), to cater primarily to tour groups from the cruise ship in port that day. We went for lunch that day, arriving before the tour group, but we were welcomed and given a table to order drinks and food. The only food options available were club sandwiches or chicken wings. This may have changed later. We did not arrange to rent a car, due to the stated availability of the two restaurants mentioned above, as well as the other available eateries indicated in the listing within walking distance. These consisted of a few somewhat sketchy shacks. We had takeout from one, which was excellent (Michelle’s Kitchen), and had lunch at another, eating there. The food and drinks were good, but it was clear we were “outsiders” in these locals bars/cafes. The master bedroom mattress was uncomfortable: a lumpy coil mattress with a one inch foam pad over top; not what we envisioned as “memory foam”.
The unit was quite clean and well kept.

Everything as good or better than advertised. Also greatly enjoyed the Island Seas Resort access next door.

Owner and property manager were very responsive. Unit was clean. Wonderfully located adjacent to a gorgeous beach that goes on forever and with restaurants within walking distance. Beach was amazing. At low tide, we stopped at a little over a mile and there was much more beach ahead of us. Was terrific.

Overall, this property is an excellent property. Great location, steps from beach, amazing views of ocean, clean large pool and access to additional pool/hot tub next door at Island Seas. Walking distance to SunnOdyssey dive shop. Very affordable and amazing price for large 3 bedroom condo. Check in early was a nice surprise. All the amenities you need in condo and more. Speedy the housekeeper/contact was amazing and true to her name—there within minutes for any issue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only a few issues—we were changed to adjoining condo at last minute. It wasn’t as nice as the pictures of the condo I originally booked, but still good and same space/layout. Second, we lost power and hot water on second night. So had to move to the condo next door, which actually turned out to be the one I originally booked. So, that turned out in my favor, actually. And Speedy was there in minutes, solving the problem and working her magic. I truly understand this place was hit hard by Dorian, so I understand the occasional power/electricity issues that may occur. Again, overall amazing—-spacious condo, impeccable ocean views, quick beach access, walk to dive shop, access to two pools and hot tub, super affordable, quick resolve of issues through Speedy the housekeeper. Would recommend and would stay again.

Terrific location. Quiet but felt safe. The resort next door was a plus. Great for walks on the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Catherine was terrific and very accommodating. Would love to come back!

5 adults stayed here over a 2 week period. You cannot beat the amazing beach access and views from the condo. We had a few issues with the fridge leaking continuously and a faulty screen MBR patio door, however, the owners did try to fix this and the on-site person Catherine was wonderfully quick to respond to our request for a kettle for our friends the tea drinkers :0 Beds were comfortable, area felt very safe and people extremely friendly, one of the reasons we continue to return to Grand Bahama. Be warned, there are extremely bright security lights in close proximity to the property which may bother someone who is sensitive to light when sleeping. We loved the second floor balcony and the amazing sea breezes while sleeping and the light did not overly detract, other than we missed the opportunity to enjoy the night sky and moonlight. On the bright side ( pun intended) we could play cards outside on the patio at night without extra lighting :) The price point is certainly fair for this size and location. Would return!

My family and I had a great time in unit #3. We had everything we needed including beach towels, pots and pans dishes, etc. The dishwasher did not work but it was not a huge inconvenience. Listening to the ocean waves every night was truly relaxing.
Getting to the condo is very easy. We rented a car for the week and mostly used it for groceries (yes, they are more expensive) and some shopping at Port Lucaya marketplace. The straw market is interesting but be prepared to say no and bargain.
The beach by the condo was incredible. At low tide you can walk on the beautiful, soft sand for a long distance. Made for nice walks in the morning. At high tide you just have to walk thru 1-2 feet of warm water. We used the pool and hot tub at Island Seas resort next door which was nice. We also booked a sunset cruise thru the kiosk by the island seas beach. We had a great time and Kenny had some good info and funny stories.
I would recommend this location and working with Mike and Diana was easy. Be sure to eat at the $2 bar about 1/4 mile West. 20 conch fritters for $5 and $15 for cracked lobster (2 tails). Great bargain.

We spent a week here and everything was great! The condo was beautiful; very clean, very well stocked and extremely comfortable. The location is great; easy access to the airport and on a beautiful stretch of beach. It is close to a few beach bars and a nice resort with all needed amenities. The owners were very accessible and willing to answer all questions.
The beach was very quiet and relaxing and we were able to borrow lounge chairs from the neighboring resort daily so we could relax and enjoy the quiet. One tip; while we were there the beach was a bit corally so I would definitely bring water shoes. This wasn’t a deal breaker just info the be aware of. We were told it is due to the hurricanes last year, the full moon and temporary. If you’re there on a Tuesday be sure to check out Bernie’s up the beach. They have a giant bonfire on Tuesdays. There’s a grocery store a few miles away and a small but nicely stocked convenience store at the neighboring resort. Great place; we loved the place, the location and the amenities here!

We stayed in Unit 114 of Cannes Village. The room is recently redone with all new carpeting, etc. It was spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. We cooked several meals and had everything we needed. It has a wonderful view of the pool and beach, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and nicely decorated.
There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance if you don't want to cook and taxis are easily available if you want to go further afield. We rented a car one day to explore the island and had a great time. Katherine the manager recommended the local car rental agency and they were so helpful. Katherine was very responsive and helpful during our stay and made several recommendations for eating and activities that we enjoyed.
One thing to know is that much of the island is still recovering from Hurricane Matthew that swept through in October, 2016. So there are repairs going on, none of it disturbed our stay or interfered with our activities; did not disturb our sleep even on days where we slept late.

This was one of the most relaxing and memorable vacations we have ever had. The condo was equipped with everything that we needed, pots, pans, towels, utensils, glassware, sheets, washing machine and dryer. Catherine was there to greet us upon arrival. She was warm and welcoming and we saw her everyday.
Prior to our trip Mike and Dianne graciously answered all of the questions we had. Several of the owners were there the week we visited and they were helpful telling us what there was to do and see on the island.
The location of this property could not be better. There were 3 local restaurants with in walking distance that all served local cuisine on the beach.
This property also has the perfect location to watch not only the sunrise but also the sunset.
The beach is one of the most beautiful beaches that we have ever been to. There was a place almost next door where you could rent kayaks and water equipment. We were able to snorkel right off the beach and saw conch, fish and other ocean creatures. We were able to do a weekly rental of snorkeling equipment from Karen at Sun Odyssey that is located just around the corners. She also does snorkeling trips and dive trips daily that leave from her shop.
We had such an enjoyable trip that we are already planning our next visit.

We stayed at Mike & Diana's town home (#17) this May.
It was awesome! The pale was clean and had everything we
needed for our family to be comfortable. There was new pots and pans, plates and utensils and the kitchen had everything one needs. The Beds are comfortable and there is plenty of linen and towels. Even a washer/dryer!
the view is better than the photos and the beach and water was wonderful. Our 3 year old had a great time and we had no worries as the water is calm and shallow at the beach.
the location is quiet yet only a few miles to all activities. Catherine, the Manager was extremely helpful with pointing out the best companies to book excursions and was very caring of our needs. We will be coming back and highly recommend these town homes for a great time!

Just came back from Cannes Resort. We were pleasantly
surprised as we had no idea what to expect. The town home (#18) was spacious, had an incredible view and an ocean breeze that was exhilarating!
The kitchen had everything! the beds were comfortable and the place was clean and well maintained. Not the most elegant place we have been, however, more than adequate for one's family to have a great time. Broadband free Wifi made my kids so happy! Basic Cable and a free local phone made it easy to book a fishing trip, a snorkel trip and find great restaurants. The Manager, Catherine, was there everyday to make sure we were comfortable and happy.
I highly recommend Mike & Diana's Town homes to all that want a beautiful beach and a place to make lasting memories! we'll be back!
Discover something new.

While the property is located in a great spot on a great beach, the condo we rented needs some TLC. I read on one of the reviews that the beds were not great, but the owner responded with a comment that all the mattresses were being swapped out and that particular unit had not been completed yet. Sad to say that months later when we arrived it was still not updated. Hard to have a good nights sleep when the bed is literally tilted to the outside (master bedroom) and you feel like you are going to fall out of the bed. Secondly, the AC unit in the master bedroom is so loud that you can not run it at night and the fan also makes a terrible humming noise. The kitchen is a mix and match nightmare. We had 4 adults and 2 small children in the condo and there is not enough dishes to eat 1 meal without out someone eating off of a small side plate or bowl instead of a regular sized plate. Utensils are in the same boat. We had 5 spaghetti spoons, but no spatula, sharp knife or frying pan to speak of. Makes meal prep for a family pretty tough. I did request a frying pan and was told by the on site manager that if its not in the condo its not available. I then spoke to the owner and the cleaning lady pulled a frying pan out of one of the other unoccupied condos that the owner owns and brought it over. The day we checked out we were asked to check out 2 hours early as they had booked someone else to check in at 11:30am while our check out was 11am. They did offer us another condo to use for checking out early, but we were told. "Please try not to make a mess" in the condo we moved our stuff over to. We still had an enjoyable vacation, however if a comfortable sleep or basic necessities are of interest, maybe look for a property not owned by Mike as both of the units we were in are need some serious attention.

Feels like home away from home! We had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation in the comfortable condo. Property manager Catherine was often present, making sure that guests at various condos were enjoying themselves. The condo was sparkling clean when we arrived and the grounds were groomed well. Guests and owners whom we met were so friendly, as was owner Mike when he stopped by. The oceanfront setting can't be beat!

All the family were in Freeport for a wedding in late January. We stayed at a resort for the wk. A few members of the family stayed an extra week this time in cannes villiage at the townhouses.I was there the previous year and wanted to go back. Very enjoyable stay, very peaceful and relaxing. The unit we stayed in was very comfortable and was supplied with everything we needed. Friendly tenent and very helpful. We also had access to the resort next door, it was great for the children. Will certainly go back next year if possible.

....because we plan to be back here again! We found that it met everything on our wish list. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans. It was great to have the stacked washer/dryer right there, too. There were plenty of extra linens and the beds were comfortable.
The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The view is unbeatable, and having such close access to the excellent beach is priceless.
We often snorkeled up and down the two points by the canal and saw many, many varieties of fish. Frequently there are huge stingrays swimming in or nestled into the sandy bottom of the canal. We learned quickly that they wouldn't harm us, but were careful not to intimidate them. There is not much colorful coral in that area, but the chance of seeing octopi, mantas, barracudas, stingrays, large groupers, and loads of other fish made the short walk to the canal well worth it. (Bring water shoes to more easily traverse the rocky areas around the canal.)
Catherine, the property manager, is awesome. Whether we had a question or a needed repair, she was always ready and willing to help.We highly recommend that any renters contact Catherine herself with any questions or complaints and she will do everything possible to make your stay comfortable and happily memorable. That is her job, and she works closely with Mike to ensure that your stay is excellent!

Stayed in a top floor 2BR unit end of February. We are a couple with 1 young child and like to have the comforts and conveniences of home when we travel so we prefer home away properties over hotel rooms. We're not looking for nightlife or tourist attractions so Grand Bahamas is perfect! There's nothing to do on this island except enjoy the beautiful beaches and sunshine, which we very much did! The property is perfect for seniors and couples with small children (not much for the older kids to do and not many kids at all between this resort and neighboring properties). The beach here is also perfect for small children - soft white sand, un-crowded, calm and shallow water (mind the tide schedule, the beach narrows for portions of each day). For the accommodations, we only really care that the property is clean and comfortable. We have stayed in luxury properties before and this is NOT LUXURY as advertised. Our unit was very clean but the décor is 90s college-dorm style, low quality and the furniture is not at all comfortable! The couches are old, thin cushions literally on top of plywood! We would've been more comfortable sitting on the beach chairs. The beds were unacceptable. We actually have bruises from the coils poking us through the mattress! Two of our three shower heads didn't work but were promptly replaced with 2 from another unit. Based on this and the other February review that their uncomfortable mattresses were replaced, I'm guessing there is 1 unit that has all good quality furniture and fixtures and if someone complains they take from there to replace yours. Coincidentally, when we spoke to another renter staying in the unit that Mike and Diane actually use for themselves they told us they had lovely, tempurpedic mattresses! I guess that is the lucky unit! It was really frustrating to know that they didn't have the same consideration for all their paying guests as they would have for themselves. Wish I could give this unit a better review for the great beach and the lovely views, but 8 days without sleep is not my idea of a good vacation! We actually couldn't wait to get back to sub-zero temperatures and feet of snow just so we could get some sleep!
