Delphi is a nicely decorated and well maintained ocean front beach house located in the desirable Yaupon Beach area of Oak Island.
Delphi is conveniently located near the main Oak Island bridge, for easy access to mainland and Southport, and less than a mile from the Oak Island town center, shops, restaurants, cafes, and the only grocery store on the island !
The house is located on a large corner lot with plenty of parking and direct beach access. It’s on a quiet street with minimal traffic and road noise. A big plus given that most ocean front homes on the island are along the main busy road.
Enjoy over 2000 sf of living space with beautiful ocean views. There are four spacious bedrooms, living room, dining room, loft, kitchen, 3.5 baths, large deck and a gazebo by the beach. Two ocean front master bedrooms, one on each floor, with king size beds and a private ensuite, plus two other bedrooms, each with two full/queen beds.
There is an HDTV, HD cable and Blu-Ray player in each bedroom, as well as the living room and the loft. The house is equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth sound bar, large capacity washer & dryer, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker, kitchen appliances, dual-zone central AC/heating system and ceiling fans in each room.

We found Delphi to be exactly as described in the property summary. Here are some things that we found to be unique. Although the house is oceanfront, it is situated back from an established dune. This provided a beautiful variety of landscapes to enjoy while on the gazebo. Even though we are directly next to a beach access, there was very little traffic and did not deter at all from our privacy. We also enjoyed the location on the island. Very close to shopping and access to the mainland with very low traffic volume on our street. The owner was very quick to fix a slight hiccup in our check-in and we appreciated the communication. A+, we will definitely stay again.

House was great. Beds were comfy We wish instructions about linens had been clearer. No indication if they were included or not in earlier communication, therefore we assumed they WERE included. Later check in instructions led us to believe perhaps they were not so we rented them unnecessarily. Could have done without the extra charge for that. Everything else was great

The host of the property was extremely responsive and helpful! This house was the perfect set up of beds & baths for our group of ladies doing a breast cancer walk! Location and beach access was a bonus! Everything was perfect for our needs!

This cottage has great beach access and is easy to get to Southport and Wilmington. Cottage has great space but needs some updates, especially the kitchen. It would be helpful if someone would go through the kitchen cooking utensils, eating utensils, glasses and cookware to ensure the kitchen is properly stocked (i.e., there was no spatula, only 4 glass wine glasses, not enough teaspoons etc.).

Stayed for our first big family vacation. Everyone enjoyed themselves and were comfortable. House was easy access to the beach. Host was great and responded to messages quickly. Had a really nice relaxing time.

Couldn't have asked for a better location especially with two young kids. Everything is within a few minutes drive. Kitchen was stocked with necessary pans, toaster, silverware. Beds were comfy.

Our family had a wonderful reunion at this home. There was plenty of space to spread out. The beach access was right next to home which was great for the kids. We watched turtles hatch one evening just down the beach. The location was wonderful....walk or golf cart up to pier with restaurant and coffee shop. Close to town and bridge over to Southport.

Family Beach Vacay: Oak Island Style
Great property on the beach with easy access to catching rays and enjoying the waves. We loved the location this year because we could see the fireworks for 4th of July so we’ll! Excellent way to spend quality time with family - enjoying seafood, local specialties and fresh produce! We were blocks away from fresh fish markets, local markets and beach gear stores! Couldn’t ask for a better configuration for a house!

We vacationed at Oak Island every summer when our kids were growing up. This is the first time we had been back as a family -with grandkids now!
The house was great. Many updates that weren’t in the listing. Great access to the beach—especially with the dune restoration and limited access. Couldn’t have been better. We will be back

Great location great house incredible views!
Loved the house had a few issues, one of the deck chairs broke when my daughter sat in it didn’t realize the metal was completely rusted through! Got the pad out of the pack and play for the baby only to find one side covered in puke! On a brighter note the house was well stocked with everything we needed and other than the pack n play the house was very clean! I would def stay again had plenty of space for all our family! One recommendation to improve stay would be some type of shade for main deck next to house! It got pretty hot on our feet mid day! We did use umbrellas but it didn’t help with hot deck! Overall great stay ty for sharing your home with us! ❤️

Wonderful!!!
My family and I could not have been more pleased with Delphi. The house was very clean and had everything that we needed to make ourselves at home. Being right on the beach was perfect for taking our two younger children back to the house for rest breaks during the day. Linda was a gracious host and was very quick to answer all questions and concerns that we had. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked this home for next year as well!

Great Oak Island Vacation
We've booked this home three times in the past several years because we found it to be the best home in the best location for the best price. Always have a great stay with no issues and when arriving this year we were pleasantly surprised to find that there were some nice upgrades to the property. Would recommend this home for any friends or family gathering.

Great location right on the beach!
Everything was very comfortable bright airy and suitable. With the exception of my older years in age the stairs were a bit challenging. Hosts had all the little things needed to make a great stay!

Great location!
We had a lovely stay at the house. Lots of reviews mention the deck they started replacing this the walk way to the beach had been done and is great and the boards for the deck were ready to finish it soon. Very clean house and we were pleased with all they had included for us like hand soap, toilet paper, laundry detergent. Our only complaints were the bedroom pillows were stained and the dryer seemed like it may have been on its last legs we had to run it twice to dry a small is load. Otherwise great location and great space for two families.

Amazing location!
This property is beautiful….the pictures posted do not do it justice. It is the perfect location to enjoy the beach, Oak Island, and Southport. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. It fit 6 adults and two children comfortably. The kitchen had all the necessities. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful House, Gorgeous Views, Gracious Host
Linda is such a gracious host. From the beginning ( before we arrived) she encouraged my many questions and responded quickly and warmly each time.
The house was immaculate - clean and well appointed. The furniture seemed new and everything in this well stocked home worked. Three of the four bedrooms have gorgeous oceanfront views, the sound of the ocean lulling us to sleep. The deck and gazebo (both of which we walked on barefoot when it was warm enough) are lovely with fabulous views. You can see beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the living room, the decks and the oceanfront bedrooms. We have been renting homes on the NC coast during Thanksgiving week for over 20 years and this place and host are among our top favorites.

The property was pretty much as described . Need universal remotes for all TVs and one tv in the upstairs bedroom did not have a signal. Ceiling fans needed a good cleaning , as well as replacing some of the tables and chairs as they are worn. Overall we had a great stay with other activities that we had previously arranged.

The Pros:Great location!Perfect size!Easy access!The Cons:Owner is selling not a big deal, but it was a shock to see the sign.There is a serious issue with black mold: window facing the ocean has a leak and major mold; also picture in downstairs bedroom has mold.The deck is a major safety hazzard. Location was good
The location of this property was good. It was close to grocery stores and shops. It is right next to a public access but it wasn’t that busy. There was major construction going on with a house being built next door to this property so our week of vacation was not quiet and the whole house would shake from about 8:00 am-3:00 PM. I am sure construction will be complete within 6 months so this should not be an issue that long. The screen back door was broken. Overall this property was good and house was well stocked.
