Place is very clean & nice, and it was neat to see the gondolas right outside the window.
We were very displeased with the Vacasa management company. We had wrong information concerning the internet, parking pass, rec passes. inconsistent information was listed on the text messsage vs documents in the condo vs email we received. A rec pass was missing. When we called Vacasa management company, they were not very helpful and one individual was downright rude. If I were the owner, I would invest in finding a new management company.

This location is great if you're looking for a ski in/out rental at Northstar. This is the only reason I booked this condo. I read the previous reviews about the refrigerator and furnace running loud but I thought I could deal with the noise at the benefit of having a ski in/out condo.
I checked in past midnight so the first thing I wanted to do was to get my kids to bed. (Note on check in: after I booked the unit, I never heard from Vacasa. 48 hours before my stay, I called Vacasa to ask when I would be getting check in info. The automated message told me that I would be getting check in info a day before my stay. The next day, I did not get an email or text about check in so I called Vacasa again and that is when they emailed me with my check in access code.) My kids slept on the sofa bed. While I think the sheets were clean, the extra comforter for people using the sofabed was stuffed in the bedroom closet along with the extra pillows. There was no duvet cover for the comforter and no pillow cases. Upon waking up in the morning, I saw what looked like urine and menstrual stains on the comforter. The pillows also had stains, luckily, I used clean towels as makeshift pillow cases. There were no other blankets or pillows available.
The refrigerator runs extremely loud and has a high pitched humming noise. It didn't bother my husband or daughter, but bothered me and my son, esp when we were trying to sleep. We still heard it while we were awake as it was bothersome but manageable.
There is a loud banging noise whenever the furnace turns on or off. The banging is loud enough to wake you up as it is located near the bedroom. I found this extremely traumatizing every time I was woken up.
Beware of these issues before you rent this unit.
I that was the only other blanket s The refrigerator is quite loud, so that may keep you up at night as well.
Warning: some of the policies posted in the property is different than policies of the management company. For example, in the property, there is a sign that indicates that check-out is at 11am. However, the rental agreement indicates 10am. When we asked if we could have until 11am for checkout since that is what is posted, we were told late checkout was unavailable (even though I received an email the day before departing indicating that I could have a late check-out if I paid an additional fee).
Bottom line: we would stay here again, but am hesitant to stay at a Vacasa property again in the future.

We booked this so we could have flexibility in what we did - some skiiing, some hanging out out down in Northstar village, some serious chilling in the apartment. The last item definitely gets a "Fail." Tiny TVs, worthless wifi made for limited entertainment options. The kitchen cabinets and fridge were bare of any of the basics you might expect, like salt, for instance? If you plan to rent this place, plan to bring everything you might possibly need to feed and entertain yourself.

This is a really nice little condo. It's well appointed, comfortable and clean. The location is fantastic. You're slightly above the village and very close to the "Condo Run" trail which drops you right into the village by the gondola. You literally hike your board or skis 50 yards to the upper parking lot and cut through 20ft of trees on a well travel path and you're on the mountain.
There are only two negatives I would call out about this unit:
1. The Internet connection is painfully slow. I was working part of the time and it was nearly unusable. Even just web surfing was super sluggish. Forget about streaming a movie or anything like that.
2. The compressor on the refrigerator is surprisingly loud. When it kicks on (which it frequently did) there's a hum that really cuts through. I put on noise cancelling headphones and I could still faintly hear it. If you're at all sound sensitive you may want to avoid this one. It was bad enough that I found myself debating whether to open the fridge and risk triggering the compressor.
Other than those two issues I really loved the place. Fix them and it's five stars from me.

Close to the mountain the furnace was super noisy wasn’t able to get a good nights sleep the unit was small but had all the necessities

This location was perfect if you plan to go skiing or snowboarding at Northstar. It is so close that you can walk to the village gondola in the morning and ski to the bottom within a short walking distance to your home.
The house was clean and bigger than we expected. We were a family of four, so we didn't need much space. The unit was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. We had enough to cook a Thanksgiving dinner while staying there.
It looks like they may have replaced the living room sofa, but the mattress is thin. I slept sideways on the sofa between the metal frame slats to avoid the uncomfortableness of sleeping on hard slats. The refrigerator is quite loud, so that may keep you up at night as well.

This condo looked exactly like the pictures displayed in the listing. However the information is a bit out of date. The cost to enter the Rec Center is $8, not $5. Also the Rec Center cards were outdated and not usable, though you can just tell them the address of your condo and they would let you in (again, for $8 each, not $5). I would say if you're on a budget and have only 2-3 people in your party, this place is fine. It's pretty small. But very clean.

My wife and I loved our long, fall weekend stay. Beautiful location, walking distance to Northstar Village, cozy feel to the condo, nice recreation center, easy arrival & departure process. The bedroom was rather small but not a big deal. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful venue with a comfortable space
Enjoyed the unit in a beautful setting outside of Vasaca managment company who didnt respond to numerous issues including replacing the outdated passes to community hot tub so we had no access.

This place is surprisingly close to the Village! It was a quick walk and even our small child could walk the whole way after a day of skiing.
Bed is super comfortable, things are squeaky clean, and overall we had a great time.

Mtn View at Northstar Lake Tahoe with ski in/out access
This is a beautiful one bedroom townhouse that has all the amenities to enjoy a get-away at north shore Lake Tahoe. The historic town of Truckee, Lake Tahoe or hiking trails are a short drive to access.

Great weekend get away.
Location is perfect, lake and hikes nearby, and access to the rec center is an added bonus. We went during the summer and Covid so many places were closed which was fine for us since we don't like crowds. Apartment has everything one may need for a couple days. We made breakfast and lunch there and went out for dinners. Recommend for couples and small families.

Not the Condo's Fault
Property was nice and the layout was as the pics suggest.
Big miss was the lack of AC. Yes the ad does not claim to have it, and yes it is in the mountains, but it was 75-78 degrees at night inside until about 2am. The fans the mgr eventually brought couldn't fight that heat. Also, the pull-out bed was missing most of the springs at the end of the bed. So that thin mattress just dropped to the floor. The mgr could not get to it in a timely manner, so I went to the hardware store and fixed it myself. Lastly, the 4 property passes mentioned were actually only two, and they were an outdated version of the pass. Luckily we managed to talk our way into the pool/rec center. Apparently they are aware of the property manager's inability to manage a property. Wifi was great though...

Comfortable accommodation in a beautiful quiet setting. The layout of our unit was cozy and felt like home. All outdoor activities were close or easily accessible.

Great location, bad place.
The location of this place is amazing. Right on the mountain and in a peaceful area. The place on the other hand was awful… The listing does not mention specifically that the place does not have Air Conditioning, even though it says “Heating & Cooling” and “Thermostat”. They should probably mention that. When I arrived I moved the side tables in the bedroom to setup our fans, and there was a dirty hand towel under one of them and some kind of pill under the other… GROSS! The “clean” bathroom towels had yellow stains on them as well. When I opened up the pull out couch for other guests, there were 11/12 missing springs so the bed was super uncomfortable, your feet fall to the floor in one of the corners because there’s no springs, and the whole thing felt unstable. There were noticeable carpet stains and you could hear the person walking around above you. Do yourself a favor and skip this listing.

Our low rating is based upon:
a) the degree of difficulty required to haul groceries, suitcases and other items from/to the parking lot and to/from the unit’s interior; no sidewalks or elevators here;
b) the small “queen size” bed and the broken sofa bed frame making the mattress concave...better for a dog bed than humans;
c) no patio or balcony
Otherwise, the unit was fine—clean, attractive decor, easy-to-open windows.
We bring groceries so we can utilize the fully appointed kitchen. There is no easy access to this unit, just lots of stairs to climb while carrying luggage, ice chests, bags of groceries, etc.
Fortunately, we visited in June 2021, we can only imagine how difficult it would have been during the snow season or inclement weather.
The unit sleeps 1 comfortably but the small bed is not an adequate size for 2 adults and the living room sleeper sofa frame is broken, making it unusable for a human to sleep on. We closed the sleeper and 1 person slept comfortably on the seat cushions. Thankfully, there were only 2 of us on this trip otherwise it would have been ruined by the inadequate sleeping accommodations.

Great location, comfortable room
It doesn’t get much closer than this. Excerpt for the toaster from hell with instant flame-on feature, this was a great unit with walking distance to Gondola and Bourbons (our favorite pub - Mina!) if you want a great spot for a small 4 person max stay at Northstar, this was great! No parking issues, kids go straight to room , can get some chow, ski almost to the condo. Awesome.

Serenity
That's what we wanted, serenity. The place was ideally located. We could sit at the dining table and watch the gondolas go by.
Very quiet and relaxing. The air was crisp and clean which was great since we've been dealing with smoke from the fires in our area.

Week in Truckee @ Northstar Village
We had a great week at this condo, in the Northstar Village. Our condo was about a 5 minute walk to the village. The condo was spacious, well furnished and clean. The condo had the basic necessities, however, if you plan to cook a majority of your meals, I do recommend bringing your own spices, Tupperware, foil, etc. We didn't use the laundry room, but it was steps away from the front door. We also enjoyed the golf course bar/patio, which was less than 10 minutes by car. The resort was very quiet since we arrived after the 4th of July, but we liked it that way. There is shopping and food at historic Truckee, which was about a 5 minute drive. We drove to South Lake (took almost an hour, due to construction) for a golf tournament and the lake was beautiful. However, Kings Beach and Carnelian Bay were a short drive. Stop at Garwoods for a drink in Carnelian Bay; great views. We would definitely come back again.
