About this house rental
Newly renovated beach house located a few short blocks to the quiet, idyllic North Beach. Public beach assess is on either end of Bay Street. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance down the driveway and across the street. We renovated and updated the entire house in 2014. New kitchen appliances. Granite countertops. Ceiling fans. Tableware, pots and pans, blender, toaster, crockpot, regular and Kuerig coffee maker are just a few of the amenities. Enjoy your meals at the large kitchen table. There is also seating for 4 in the dining room. Enclosed Sunroom off the kitchen. The Sunroom has a daybed with a trundle that sleeps two. Newly furnished living room with large, flat-screen TV. Queen size beds in all 3 rooms with flat-screen TV's and ceiling fans. Bathrooms have been updated. Large outdoor living space with fenced in backyard. New concrete stamped patio installed in march of 2017. New vinyl fence installed in 2019. Check out the new photos. Relax around the fire pit or grill your 'catch of the day' on the outdoor grill. Challenge family members to a game of corn hole! Grab some beach toys, the wagon and cooler from the shed and head to the beach. We recently installed an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand from the beach (cold water). Relax on the front porch with a good book.

The owner was very nice and refunded our money minus VRBO fees which I feel should have been reimbursed as well due to never ending issues with the water. At times having no water at all. Other times, water shooting up out of the ground making it impossible to enjoy the patio. I wouldn't recommend staying there. Made for a very stressful vacation. I went on vacation to get away from stress, instead had lots of it.

Let’s start things off on a high note..the place was clean, nicely furnished and amenities such as gas grill, washer/dryer, coffeemakers and walking distance to the beach 10 minutes tops… however I gave this property a 3 star rating simply because the “up keep” of the property was not as advertised on the Vrbo app!
Upon entrance I was “taken back by” a strong smell of “pet urine mixed with mildew” coming from the wooden floor…also we noticed in the outside the corner of the roof had detached from the frame leaving an open whole for scavengers to potentially enter which was concerning because I seen a large raccoon later that night! Also in the family room, dust particles were heavily falling from the ceiling air ducts. The outdoor patio and shrubs were dirty and not as pictured. Lastly, 2 of the 3 bedrooms were smaller than what the photos advertised, the bonus bedroom is actually in the sunroom furnished with a daybed that has a detachable trundle bed underneath. The house could potentially sleep 3 adult couples in the bedrooms and 3 children (couch in family room and sunroom in the daybed/trundle). The house is in Tybee and walking distance to the beach. Make sure to use the main entrance to access the beach, because the residents in the gated community did not like us cutting through their parking lot to enter the beach.

This house is so convenient for beach access, good coffee and shopping. It's great if you want to venture into Savannah but not have the overnight noise. Tybee Island offers great dining if you want to stay local. We have stayed in this house twice.

Property worked perfectly for our trip. There were 6 women and we had room to comfortably sleep, eat and gather in either living room or outside. Host was incredibly helpful and easy to reach. Would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed the indoor and outdoor space and number of bedrooms which accommodated 5 adults and an 18 month old. It was great being so close to beach access, some shops and restaurants as well as the lighthouse. We had a wonderful time!

We have had a wonderful vacation. The house was perfect for our needs. Great size.
We had 5 adults and a 20 month old. My daughter brought a portable crib, but having the extra portable crib and the beach toys was really helpful. The little one slept in his crib in the back room near the kitchen and we could be together in the living room.
When he laid down during the day he slept in the master bedroom in the other crib. He really liked the little rocking chair, it was just the right size for him. The fenced yard was great for our two chiweenies. Note the fence is high off the ground in a few spots and they could wiggle thru so be mindful if you have tiny dogs as they can escape. Literally had everything we needed for our vacation. Only bad thing is it's located off Soloman, worst street on Tybee as far as having a bumpy drive on it. It's the oldest street on Tybee. We rented a golf cart to tour the Island which we highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was just great and the owner of the property was very responsive and wonderful to work with. The house was extremely clean, within walking distance of local businesses/restaurants and a beach access, and had all the amenities necessary for a delightful stay. Upon arrival we were greeted with two bottles of wine, fine chocolate and bags of popcorn. The back yard offered a cozy oasis with a fire pit for evening entertainment, barbecue grill for lush dinners, and shaded patio facilities for sharing meals and pleasant conversations. What else would one need for a perfect vacation? Our group appreciated all of the lovely touches included in the house to make us feel at home. I would recommend without hesitation this rental property; 5 stars out of 5!

We cannot say enough about the communication with the owner (Sherry) she was fabulous. The house was amazingly clean and very well equipped. We had friends in from South Carolina for dinner and had all we needed in the kitchen. Best of all the location is great, right across the alley to the best pizza on Tybee at Hucapoos and a block from the beach. Our 2 dogs loved the totally fenced in yard. It was exactly the type of rental we were looking for and would love to stay there again! Highly recommend!!!

Every year, we take my elderly mother in law to the beach. As it’s getting harder for her to get around, we like one story places that are close to a beach. This was fantastic. Quiet residential neighborhood that has a coffee place and pizza place right across the street (more like an alley)! This is an old house that has been added onto and upgraded, and you can tell a lot of love went into it. There are 2 smaller bedrooms near an original bathroom, and a larger “master” bedroom off of the living room. If you have small kids, there’s plenty of room in the master for cribs and cots. If you don’t have small kids, there’re only sheer curtains over the French doors into that bedroom, so anyone in the living room can see in…consider this when you assign bedrooms as there’s iffy privacy there. There’s a full bath off of the living room near the door but it isn’t attached to the bedrooms, so the master doesn’t technically have its own. The kitchen is cozy but is very well stocked with everything you may need for your stay! While it’s one story, the floors are a little uneven where they added on and there’s a step down into the sunroom, so if you have someone in the group who is a fall risk, keep that in mind. A lot of the rooms are on GFI outlets, so easy to check if it seems an outlet isn’t working. Lovely shaded patio with fire pit, and even some bikes if you need! Best part is just down the “alley” (Solomon) to the right is Byers Street and the entrance to the beach! The north beach is so quiet, no heavy surf to worry about kids getting tumbled in, no party-goers shooting fireworks. It’s close enough that if anyone in your group can’t walk those couple of blocks, you can drop them off with your wagon of beach things, drive the car back to the house, and walk back. Go the other way towards McKenzie and there’s a fantastic taco bar on the other side of the unfortunately closed Gerald’s.
This was the homiest house we have ever rented. Would definitely rent again if we head back to Tybee!

Nice Girls' Weekend
While the property was a little tricky to find at first, once we found the place the experience was very nice. It was clean and necessities were provided. We had close access to pizza and shopping. The beach was relaxing! There were four in our group and each of us had our own bed! I would stay here again if I were to return in the future.

We stayed at this home with 4 moms and 4 teen girl scouts and had a wonderful week. The house had everything we needed as far as utensils, cookware, etc, 2 coffee makers, one Kureg and one traditional, and lots of room to spread out. Sherry was always quick to reply to any questions I had through the VRBO messaging system. Note - the washing machine is not HE, so bring some regular (old fashioned) detergent for it.

Traditional beach is just a short 5 min drive and was perfect for our older children who wanted to ride their boogie boards.
Fenced patio was so nice for our younger children.
Only thing that would have been a plus would have been an ice maker in the refrigerator.
Overall a fantastic vacation.

Very gracious host. House is charming and well appointed with the necessities for a longer stay. Very comfortable beds, furniture, and outdoor areas. Easy to walk to a few restaurants and shopping. All year long there is pay to Parkin Tybee, so it’s nice to be at an easily walkable location.
