Unique newly renovated lake front home built around antique log cabin. Spectacular views of picturesque Cole Pond and evening sunsets. This is a
great place to get away all year round. During the summer fishing, swimming, canoeing and kayaking can be enjoyed right outside your door on Cole Pond. In the fall there is beautiful foliage around the lake and in the surrounding areas . Winter can be enjoyed by cross country skiing or snow shoeing right outside or driving to one of the mountains that are in close proximity such as Stratton, Bromley, Magic and Okemo.
We are also close to Jamaica State Park for hiking, Manchester Center for foodies and shoppers, Weston – home of the Vermont Country Store and the Weston Playhouse, and beautiful Buttermilk falls in Ludlow.

We had a wonderful stay at Cole Pond for a few days of skiing at Stratton. The house is even more lovely than the pictures show. It was the perfect relaxing house for the non-skiers in our group and a cozy home for those of us tired from skiing all day. The house was fully stocked with spices, toiletries, etc which made it so easy to settle in. The one person in our group trying to work did say the wifi wasn't good enough, but we told him he shouldn't have been working anyway! We look forward to coming back again!

We often book a few airbnb/VRBO houses during the winter to ski. This was by far the nicest we have been in. Amazing host who was very easily accessible and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay and provided recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. The home was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the house was well stocked with items that made it easy to cook. We can’t want to come back to visit. 5 stars all around

We loved the boats, board games, and the porch. The house has everything you’ll need for a getaway and Donna was great with communicating with us.

From the moment we arrived at this VBRO rental, we were in awe of its beauty and charm. The house is newly renovated and equipped with everything one could possibly need for a comfortable and memorable stay.
Our days were filled with kayaking adventures and fishing expeditions--we all caught fish, including two largemouth bass. The view of Cole Pond, complemented by the surrounding woods, was nothing short of breathtaking.
However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the nighttime view. We were fortunate enough to be there during the Perseid Meteor Showers and witnessed dozens of meteors streaking across the sky. It was a magical experience that we will cherish for years to come.
This VBRO rental exceeded all our expectations. It's evident that Donna and Bill put a lot of thought and care into the house and surrounding property and genuinely want renters to have a wonderful experience at their home. We would not hesitate to book it again for our next vacation. If you're looking for a serene getaway with a mix of adventure and relaxation, look no further!

Exceptionally well equipped and well maintained home on a beautiful waterfront. Enjoyed paddling around Cole Pond in the kayaks and canoe provided by owner along with hiking nearby trails in the Green Mountains. Instructions for home are easy and clear. Our family experience here was outstanding and all was just as described - we highly recommend this property!

I am so lucky to have found this rental. My grandparents owned the original log cabin and sold it to Donna’s parents 29 years ago. They have done a wonderful job updating, but still keeping the charm. It is beautiful on the inside and outside. Loved having the boats and kayaks, everything you need for the kitchen, grill, and lawn games available.
Donna was amazing with answering our questions and checked into make sure we were all set. If you’re looking for quiet, relaxing getaway this is perfect!

Our stay on Cole Pond exceeded our expectations! The house was suitable for the two families in our party, and there was plenty of room so the kids and adults had their own space. The kitchen is fully stocked and modern. After skiing at Stratton, which is only 15 minutes away, we loved coming back and settling in near the cozy fire. Donna was so helpful before and during our visit, which made our first trip to Cole Pond a memorable one! And we hope it isn’t our last, as I expect it would be beautiful in the summer!

This house could not be more perfect. My family of 4 stayed with another family of 4 for a 2 night ski weekend. The house was clean, warm, and inviting from the minute we arrived. The owner was responsive to questions and provided all the information we would need to enjoy our weekend. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The location on the lake was beautiful. We went to ski but could have hung at the house all weekend. The proximity to Stratton Mountain and local restaurants was perfect. Just wish we could have stayed longer!

We booked this house for a quick getaway to ski at Stratton. It exceeded our expectations. Donna, the host, went above and beyond before and during our stay to make sure everything was great. We spent most of the time skiing so only wish we had more time at the house! Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked and the house was very clean! We booked this lovely cabin for Christmas as I’ve always wanted to experience a picturesque Christmas in Vermont. The cabin exceeded my expectations (which were quite high!) in every way. It’s even nicer than the pictures and exceptionally clean, warm and cozy. We made the most of our winter getaway with skiing and snow tubing at Stratton, ice skating on the pond, and sledding. We finished with a lovely drive to Grandma Millers for homemade pies and soups, and the Vermont Country Store for all things “Vermont”. If you are looking for a quaint, clean, spacious yet cozy cabin, you will not be disappointed here. Thank you Donna and Bill!

You'd be hard pressed to find a more beautiful, private, lake/pond property than this one. The house is built for relaxation and comes with all the amenities you'd need for everyone in the family to have a wonderful time. I strongly recommend this VRBO. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely perfect
Every aspect of this place was perfect. The host was fantastic and have everything set up for us. The location is perfect and absolutely beautiful. I would 100% rent this place again. Everything from the kitchen to the beds, baths and the outdoor patio, this place was perfect. We didnt leave and didnt need to :)

Lovely house, perfect setting
It's always nice when a place is much nicer than you might have imagined. The pond and the grounds are fantastic and the house is beautiful in every way. Kitchen, dining room and den are all great and the porch looking out at the pond a real treat.
Everything in the house is in perfect order and nothing lacking..
You can't miss with this house and Donna was very helpful in every was. Thanks again for a great stay.

Idyllic skin cabin with lovely owners
We spent a weekend with friends and family skiing and loved this cute and cozy cabin. Beds were great as was kitchen. The den with a fireplace was a bonus and the lake views were perfect. Super convenient to Stratton.
Donna was also so nice - making sure we were checked in and let us stay a bit later given daylight savings time.

Perfect!
Our stay was amazing! The cabin is everything and more...the perfect place to rest after a long day skiing. Donna was super helpful before arrival providing us with insider "tips" for the area. The cabin is well stocked and all the amenities were great. We hope to return in the Winter again and in the Summer to check out all this gem has to offer!

Vermont Family Vacation
The house was beautiful and the property was well maintained. We were excited to see the misc recreational stuff available at the house; row boat, kayak, canoe, fire pit area, hibachi grill, lawn games, floats for swimming, hammock, etc. Inside the house was the same. We had everything we needed (or forgot to bring with us). We definitely see ourselves returning soon.

Great summer weekend getaway
Have to say one of the best rental experiences my friends and I have had between the host, location, and amenities. The house has a great layout to accommodate multiple couples or friends. We cooked all our meals with a kitchen equipped with everything you could need. We also utilized all the boats, the swim dock, and yard games each day after our morning hikes. The house is close to 2 great hikes (Prospect Rock and Hamilton Falls). We hope to come back again!

Wonderful Vermont Retreat
What an incredible property! It was truly a pleasure coordinating with Donna throughout the entire process. She made our check-in extremely easy and our stay very relaxing. The house is really fantastic and the pond is honestly beautiful. I honestly don't even want to explain how much I love it because I want to be able to rent it as much as possible! I would like to point out that you should most likely have a 4WD vehicle if you come during the rainy/melting months because the road leading to the property was quite muddy. A 2WD vehicle may get stuck in it.

Great winter weekend!
My friends and I had a great time in Donna’s beautiful cabin. It was very clean and well equipped. We skied Stratton nearby and also took advantage of the frozen pond and fresh snow for some cross country skiing and snowshoeing right outside the cabin! We had a great time and would love to stay again!

Quiet retreat with amazing view
Donna was wonderful host to work with during the Covid pandemic. She put all our concerns to rest.
Our family had an amazing stay. We skied both Stratton mountain as well as Magic mountain only minutes away.
The kitchen was well stocked and was a wonderful place to gather!
We are hoping to return for some summer fun.
