About this house rental
Salmon River view and Lake Ontario sandy beaches!
It's not just big fish you can reel in in this beautiful & adventure filled town - the whole area has a lot to offer during all 4 seasons for a fun and memorable vacation! Best kept secret in North-East America! We call Pulaski, 'Alaski' (like Alaska)!!!!
Have a great, either an adventurous or a relaxing, vacation (your choice!) in a 3 bedroom, 1 & half bath house with a view to the famous Salmon River. (Note to fishermen: house is right by the Staircase!)
Lake Ontario’s big sandy beaches will please any sun and sand lover. Salmon River water sports are great for a thrill seeker. Hiking trails and awesome pick-your-own fruit orchards are just the tip of all the fun you can have in Pulaski!
House is located in downtown of Pulaski, near restaurants, shops and even a big playground. It's on a corner lot in a family friendly neighborhood.
There are 5 beds in the house. Master bedroom has a queen bed, 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have each 2 twin beds.
House is fully furnished, linens and towels are included. There's also a washer/dryer in the house (no waders in the washer/dryer please!). Outside we have a 4-seat patio set and a charcoal grill.
On summer time you can enjoy beautiful Lake Ontario beaches, between 5-25 min. of driving,
*Selkirk beach state park - rocky beach, but great for sunset picnics and fishing. Grills are provided in the park. 5 min drive.
*Sandy Island Beach - concession stand and a sandy beach. 7 min drive.
*Southwick beach - biggest beach that has a concession stand, playground and indoor warm showers, 15 min drive.
-Boat renting by the lighthouse;
-Tubing, canoe & kayak renting on the river;
-Mini or professional golfing;
-Go-carting
-ATVing on trails.
-Hike on Salmon River Falls trail and then go down 600 feet to the gorge, take a dip and hike/climb back up.
-Another fun thing is to go fresh strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry and peach picking. Or if you're craving for a fresh veggies or fruit pies, stop by at the farmer's market on Fridays and enjoy either the Amish made pies or another farm's products (local wines, breads, candles, soaps, vegetables, wood work and other handy-crafts).
-For the little ones a farm zoo, Old MacDonald farm, is not too far. Kids can roam around with popcorn loving friendly goats, pet cows, horses, rabbits and even a reindeer.
-Fine dining experience is most memorable at Rainbow Shores Restaurant where you can enjoy breathtaking million dollar sunset view.
For exact locations and names, inquire the list from us.
Fall time the most popular activity is the salmon, trout and steelhead fishing. Bring a rod and try your luck yourself! We can also refer a great fishing guide to help you out and give you a lesson. Autumn is also a great time for the whole family - daddy & older kids can fish while mommy and younger kids enjoy other area's fun activities. An interesting place to visit would be the Salmon River fish hatchery where all the mature salmon are coming 'home' to spawn. It's quite a spectacle to see them jump the water ladders! Take also an interesting tour inside the hatchery.
Another wonderful and fun thing to do is to go apple or pumpkin picking. The orchards are filled with juicy and plentiful different apples. Behling Orchard is most fantastic place!
Winter time activities include great ice-fishing, skiing, snow-tubing and snowmobiling. Fishing guide is available upon request.
Spring time is again great for fishing both in the river & lake.
We have a whole list of other great things to do in the area that we’d be happy to share, just ask!
Enjoy your time in Pulaski and hope to see you soon again!
For minimum 1 month rental, we offer a special rate of $2200/mo (all utilities included) from January to August. Fall months are not discounted.

We enjoyed our stay.

We had a good trip and really enjoyed the proximity to the river and an easy walk to restaurants in town

It was nice to stay in Pulaski. Many places to eat and shop

Great decor, perfect for fishing but it's not a lodge. Lovely house. No dishwasher but everything else you need. Would recommended and go back again ourselves. Perfect!

House was beautiful and conveniently located, love the view of the river and river access

Everything was as advertised, and the perfect place to stay in a safe and convenient location. Only complaint was we were only given 1 roll of toilet paper in the downstairs, and a 1/4 roll in the upstairs (which 3 men used up quick). Also bring shower soap and shampoo, as it was not provided. Overall it was a great place to stay, and will definitely be back!

We have been renting this house for a few years. Love it and the location.

The house suited our group perfectly. We all enjoyed our stay and have already rebooked for next year.
The house was alittle smaller then what we have stayed in previously which is what we wanted. The parking situation was perfect, removed from the direct center of town the neighborhood was quiet, outdoor patio area was very nice to have.
No complaints at all.

Nice neighborhood!

Stayed in the property because of its location to the Salmon River. A less than 5 min walk gets you to some great fishing. We definitely will rent this property again.

House was clean and exactly as the owner stated. Had a great time walking distance to Salmon River. Fantastic long weekend.

House was well equipped and clean. Perfect access to fishing the lake and River.

I GAVE A REVIEW BECAUSE IT'S NOT WORTH IT. The neighborhood is a dump. The spider webs she expects customers to clean upon entry. The vaccum left in the middle of the upstair floor. The ankle height beds. And old linen they are still using. Now the unit has three ac in the windows but only TWO WORKED like the last Review stated. I was called by vrbo after booking another house 1hour away to ask my opinion. This owner is very nasty once you check in. She was on the phone and basically said I didn't give her the opportunity to fix her problems. She told a customer who was delayed twice it was personal issues. Really, when I build a house my team and I, third party, inspectors walk through multiple times before the customer. First impressions are EVERYTHING. To say I could have wiped the spider webs down when I paid her for seven days is trifling. No accountability, no business sense, and no idea about customer service. SHE WANT THE CUSTOMERS TO SETTLE, PAY HER, CLEAN UP, AND THE OTHER LIST OF DEMANDS. If you are looking for a place vrbo has a nice house in the village of clayton, NY. HE TOOK PRIDE IN CLEANING AND INVESTING IN HIS PROPERTY. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND ASKED FOR FEEDBACK TO MAKE THE NECESSARY CHANGES.

Exactly as advertised! Perfect place while visiting the surrounding areas. Kitchen had plenty of space for making meals and keeping food. Kadri is a great host. Communication was easy and prompt.

Great location to stay to fish. Walking distance to many good spots on the river and to downtown. Nice and spacious accommodations. Good set up for a fishing weekend!

This was our 2nd stay at this property. Location is amazing and the house itself is perfect for relaxing after long days on the river. Our host was very prompt on communication and check-in was super easy. Highly recommend this property.

Great house and great location. Super nice owner

Center of town and very convenient
Perfect for a weekend Salmon trip

Decided to come up to fish the salmon run. This place is smack dab in the middle of everything. Close drive to DSR for fishing, walking distance to public fishing spots…. Literally down the hill. Minuets from all the food options, grocery stores, and tackle shops. Super clean and simple little house for a place to rest your head after long days of fishing on the river! Looking forward to coming back next year hopefully!

I first of all the AC system on the first floor was unbearably bad, It was so hot that we could not stay in the first floor.
Property manger listed that all garbage should be off the property at the end of the stay but the first day we got there where were already garbage there and we had to throw out other peoples garbage so we do not have to get charged for other peoples garbages.
But two days after our stay the property manager still charged us extra for the stay for something that we did not do or know anything about. It is Extremely!! Frustrating!!
We think they are scamming us, Just to make a quick buck.
Do not recommend staying there.

Clean & Close to Marina
Nice, clean, conveniently located house, met all the needs for our party of 4 adults boat fishing on Lake Ontario for Memorial Day weekend.
The towels and linens are located in upstairs closets but full bath with shower is downstairs. Took some searching to locate the towels after some panic that they were not included. [A cute sign in bath may help.]
Also, no extra trash bags or paper towels/toilet paper, so bring an extra roll.
Old school drip coffee maker too forever to brew two pots prior to going to lake at 530am..... suggest upgrading to better drip or a Keurig.
Sleeping space for 6, but couch/living room Seating for 2 comfortably.
TV in living room is wifi, but the one in master bed room was vcr only, and we found that slightly inconvenient.
First day we were there there was heavy rain, including fire dept to pump basement across the street, and so much water by front door, no way to enter without going thru the odd entry with ankle deep water.
LDs food is amazing, as is Stefanos.... and if your in town to fish, must check out Fat Nancy's too!
Overall, 4.5 stars. Would definitely stay again.

Great location for fishing!
We stayed here to visit our son who recently moved to Ft Drum. But I picked this one because it's near fishing and my husband and boys love to fish. It was nice, clean and had such a great location that they walked everyday to the river just yards away as it was the start of the Salmon migration up that river. It was also in a nice neighborhood to go for walks or ride bikes on the street.
We used the kitchen which had all the items we needed to cook breakfast and store our food for lunches. We used the BBQ for dinner 1 night. It was very nice and accurately described. Just note - it sleeps 6 but only has 1 couch which seats 3. This was accurately shown in the pictures, it just didnt register with me until we got there. There are 6 kitchen chairs and we used those to eat around the island. Worked out great, we'd definitely rent there again. And it's also within a short drive to Lake Ontario if you rent during the summer - I heard the lake is where the summer fishing is from the owner of the fishing shop in town. Everyone is very friendly too.

Nice home, with easy walk to town and river
Friendly owner. Comfortable accommodations. Had everything I needed to enjoy a wonderful long weekend.

GREAT STAY!!!!
Kadri was a fantastic host with quick responses. House was perfect for our family full of supplies and tons of toys for kids to play with. Our boys absolutely loved playing Chess with their dad 😊. Great location close to stores, beaches, Parks and playground. Took nightly walks through the quiet neighborhood and felt safe and welcomed. Only negative thing we could say is the house could have been cleaner. But overall we had a great time. Thank you 😊 definitely would recommend staying here and also eating Stefanos pizza … YUMMY!!

Great location close to beaches. Very kid friendly house with lots of toys. House itself in need of some TLC and a deep clean. Full refrigerator leaked water inside fridge that needed to be cleaned up 2-3 times a day. No satellite/cable TV or patio set as advertised. Fire pit unusable due to being too close to property edge and overgrown bushes too close and hanging over, plus no chairs to sit on to enjoy it. No shoes are allowed in the house. The full bathroom is on the first floor and the 3 bedrooms and half bath are on the secod floor.

My family and I don't fish but were looking for a nice place close to beaches on lake Ontario. This house fit the bill quite nicely.
The house is just as described (with the exception of the pictures of the patio furniture, there was none).
My kids were very pleasantly surprised to find so many toys to discover and play with which was great for the few rainy days we got.
It is a nice place walking distance to the river and a short drive to really nice sandy beaches for the kids to swim and play in the sand. Definitely recommend.

The house is a very nice, comfortable and well equipped. It's in a quiet neighborhood with a very short walk down to the Salmon River which would be the perfect place to stay during the salmon run. The location is also a short drive to marina at Port Ontario which was great for our early morning fishing charter departure. We would certainly rent the house again.
