About this apartment rental
Stunning and gorgeous 800 sq. ft interior 12 foot ceilings with 100sq ft terrace rarely seen in this newly remodeled, pre-war 1-bedroom apartment with a 65 inch TV with Bose surround sound system.
Situated at the crossroads of Downtown Manhattan’s most exciting neighborhoods, including the West Village, Chelsea, the Meatpacking District, and Union Square AND HUDSON YARDS14th Street is in the midst of a renaissance, particularly between Hudson River Park and Union Square. The dramatic transformation is turning the thoroughfare into a destination unto itself. The street now has a different kind of bustle, one inclusive of high-end retail, fine dining, and culture. Also, several of Downtown’s finest residential condominiums now line and surround 14th Street.
Tourists and New Yorkers alike flock to the beautifully landscaped High Line, as well as the Hudson River Park, Chelsea Piers, Chelsea Market and the new Renzo Piano-designed Whitney Museum, among many other attractions. In addition, the community has seen an increase in popularity of shopping, dining and cultural attractions. Tech giant Google is headquartered at Eighth Avenue and 15th Street, and numerous other businesses have moved to the area, especially in the fields of fashion and creative.
The well-known Chelsea Market and Gansevoort Market are a major draw to the area, as well as some 200 art galleries, located mainly in West Chelsea, including Milk Studios, Gagosian, Mary Boone, and Marlborough. Shopping includes brands such as Diane von Furstenberg, Tory Burch, Helmut Lang, and Christian Louboutin. The area is also home to many independent, locally-owned shops and boutiques that make the area a must-visit for high-end shopping.
The area, especially the Meatpacking District and Union Square, has long been seen as a nightlife and dining hotspot. The Boom Boom Room, located on the rooftop of The Standard Hotel, is one of the city’s most exclusive nighttime spots. And the Standard Grill, situated under the High Line, is a neighborhood staple. Fine dining along the 14th Street corridor also includes Scarpetta, a high-end and trendy Italian restaurant, Crispo, one of Chelsea’s best-kept secrets that offers authentic Italian cuisine, and Coppelia, an extremely popular Cuban restaurant that is a neighborhood favorite.
The area is also home to some prominent, members-only clubs. The Norwood, located on 14th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenue,is an extremely selective members-only arts and culture club set in a charming brownstone. The Soho House in the Meatpacking District is a hotel and members-only club for people in the creative and finance industries, complete with a rooftop pool.

Bed was a dream. Spacious and best location ever. Bathroom squeaky clean and recently updated.
loved my stay here.
like most buildings on the area there are no elevators. 3rd floor up the stairs- it may be an issue for older people.

Great location, amenities
My husband, 10-year-old daughter and I stayed over New Years and had a great time. The apartment had everything we needed. Just sad we didn’t have time to explore everything the neighborhood had to offer.

Beautiful NYC apartment in ideal location
This apartment is perfect! It is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and well-stocked to help guests feel at home. The balcony especially is a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing glass of wine at the end of the day. But the very best thing about this apartment is the location. All of Manhattan is at your fingertips! Two separate subway stations are literally in the same block, and another is just one block away. The Highline and Chelsea Market are a five minute walk from the front door. I am convinced there is no better place to stay in New York City!

Pleasant & Quiet
Great place to return to after a rigorous day in the city. Nice, clean and everything you would want is there! Easy walk to many shops, restaurants, markets, and the subway. As seniors, we did have a bit of a journey up the three flights of stairs. They were a stretch for us, but worth it.

Comfortable and quiet!
The apartment was spacious and quiet. Great location, nice small balcony to sit and enjoy the birds chirping in the morning. Lawrence was very easy to communicate with. Close to so much, especially subway choices. Thank you Lawrence!

Fabulous to the Nth degree!!!!!
Lawrence was a superb communicator and shared every detail we could possibly need related to check-in, the unit, and check-out ahead of arrival. The apartment was gorgeous and had everything you could possibly desire. The area was convenient to the subway, fabulous restaurants, and very quiet. We felt like locals. It was glorious. Thank you, Lawrence, for sharing your lovely apartment and giving us a home in NYC.

A classic NYC walk up with views
I had a great stay a Lawrence's place. The apartment is in an excellent location a block or less to all major subway stations and the Path train. I felt right at home on the first night. The bed was comfortable and the space was relaxing and when the weather's nice you can see the Empire State building from the living room. The neighborhood has everything you'll need including a Westside supermarket less than a block away. I look forward to staying at Lawrence's place again!

Gorgeous Apartment and a Great Downtown Location!
We really enjoyed our stay in Lawrence’s lovely home. It’s beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need. The flatscreen TV and the Bose surround sound system made watching movies and listening to music amazing!
The location couldn’t have been better. Having subway stops on either corner and literally bordering the West Village Chelsea and meatpacking district. Everything was close by and super convenient.
The Whitney Museum was just a 5 minute walk and happen to have an Andy Warhol exhibit going on which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also explored the Highline Park which is not to be missed! Lawrence was really a great host. He was always available when we had questions and recommended a lot of great restaurants that were nearby. When we come back in the spring time, I can’t wait to take advantage of the beautiful terrace just outside Lawerence’s living room. Thank you again Lawrence for being such a great host!

Convenience and Excellence meet comfort!
This apartment made my stay in NYC, an epic experience. I loved how conveniently located it’s from everything. The apartment has an oversized flat screen smart tv connected to a theater sound system, perfect for those rainy/snowy lazy days. The tv and sound system are controlled by a ONE and simple remote control and I mention this because, I’m not a tech savvy, and this was a very pleasant surprise.
Also, the owner er is quick to reply and easy person to deal when renting this place.
I highly recommend this apartment and will definitely rent it again.

The epitome of a real New York apartment, convenient, comfortable and full of charm
We loved this charming apartment on14th St. in Chelsea.
The living room was large with high ceilings and a very comfortable queen size sofa bed .
A fabulous balcony overlooked a large courtyard that had trees - a great place to relax with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. It had a great view of the top of the Empire State Building which was lit up with different colors every night. The bedroom was large with a good sized and comfortable bed.
The kitchen was small but efficient and well stocked and there was a table to sit and have a meal.
The place was quiet and serene and the neighborhood was safe, busy and had a lot of character. Several subway lines were quite close to the apartment so it was easy getting everywhere- from The World Trade Center to the Cloisters. There were restaurants, grocery stores and even tbe large Chelea Market within easy walking distance. The owner, Lawrence, was very available to answer questions and kept in touch to make sure are were comfortable.
One word of caution is that you have to climb 3 sets of stairs to get into the apartment, so you might want a place with an elevator if you have trouble with steps.
We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a one bedroom apartment that captures the flavor of New York in a comfortable setting.

Awesome Elegance on 14th Street with a killer view!
Without a doubt the best apartment we've ever rented in NYC. Beautifully decorated, well supplied and really, really clean! It's in a nice neighborhood with cool restaurants and bars all around. But best of all was the patio overlooking a parklike backyard that even had a view of the Empire State Building! It's a wonderful place and we hope to stay there again the next time we hit New York.
