About this cottage rental
Welcome to Maggie Valley and the Cottage on the Creek!
Our home is open and ready for guests who want to visit Haywood County, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Cherokee, Bryson City and Sylva.
Due to the exterior of our home flooding from Hurricane Helene, we do not have grass in the yard and are restricting pets at this time. We will let you know when that restriction is lifted. This “tiny house” has cabin and rustic charm. It is clean and cozy offering 2 double bed bedrooms and 1.5 bath rooms. The home is located on bold Jonathan Creek. Access to the Cottage is paved and flat with easy year-round access and a parking area that allows for 2 vehicles or a small trailer with a vehicle. We are motorcycle and family friendly. Full kitchen (no dishwasher), large covered porch, gas grill, fire pit & picnic table along the creek. Wireless internet, two televisions with cable. Covered porch with creek-side sounds & views including, 2 rocking chairs, a 4-person table and chairs. Non smoking, pet (dog) friendly. ($75 pet fee). Prior Approval required. 40 lb. max.
Cottage on the Creek sits on Jonathan Creek and is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Smoky Mountains, Soco Falls, Cataloochee Ski Resort, and Lake Junaluska & Cherokee. We love the short-range mountain views out front, the sounds of the rushing creek in the back, the glimpses of the area black bears and elk, the nearby Maggie Valley Country Club golf course, the summer hummingbirds and fireflies, as well as the close proximity to area conveniences. We hope you create bountiful memories at our Cottage.
THE SPACE

We provide bath towels, bed linens, blankets and pillows, and enough amenities to get you started, but you will need to bring everything you require to have an amazing Mountain Cottage experience with you.
Jonathan Creek runs the length of the property and can be enjoyed anywhere in the backyard; the picnic table, fire pit, the covered porch, grilling and eating at the outside table. Outdoor lighting has been installed to create a relaxing atmosphere while enjoying the creek and the wonderful outdoors. Located off a connector road to Soco Road - the home is conveniently located to get you where you want to go exploring or if you want to relax by the mountain stream.
Enjoy sounds and views of the creek off the front porch while rocking with a hot cup of coffee or tea!
Two double bedrooms, a 52" TV in living room, and one 19" TV in Primary bedroom with both wireless and DISH service.

My husband and I trailered our motorcycle and stayed at this wonderful spot. Plenty of parking for both trailer and truck and bike. We enjoyed the wonderful creek at the ack of the property and spent every evening enjoying a fire by the creek. The sounds were so relaxing. We interacted with the hosts a couple of times and they seem like great people. Everything was very clean and kept up.

What a great tiny house on the creek. Conveniently located just off the main road in MV. It is a tiny house, so a few spots are tight. We didn’t spend much time indoors. We enjoyed our time outdoors on the porch and by the creek. The fire pit was great at night for roasting marshmallows and s’mores.
Highly recommend

My wife, brother and sister-in-law stayed for a week here. Great location as it is close to everything Maggie Valley. Didn’t have much luck fishing in the stream but Cherokee is only 20 minutes away.
This small but cozy place on the creek is very relaxing and a great place to get closer to God and his creations.
We enjoyed out stay and may book another time with just the Mrs and myself.

House was very clean, we had everything we needed in the kitchen, easy to find. Very comfortable inside & out. The blanket was a great addition, I used it every day! Very close to restaurants & shops.

My husband, grandson and I spent 4 days at this cabin and had a wonderful time. We grilled, made s'mores on the fire pit, tubed the creek, and went on several walks. It's a lovely area and convenient to everything. The cabin while small, had everything we needed to thoroughly enjoy our time there. Highly recommend!

This cute, cozy cabin is right on Jonathan Creek, close to town, on a paved road. The owners made sure it was very clean, tidy and ready to go. The beds were comfortable and the whole area was very quiet. Would definately book again.

Place was nicely finished. My only suggestion is change cleaner from Fabuloso (too much perfume smell) to something else. Great location. Great communication. Very nice.

Rented this house for a girls trip. The was so cute and clean! The location was great. We really enjoyed sitting out by the creek and just relaxing. Loved that each bedroom had their own bathrooms. Bedrooms were alittle tight to get around but it is a tiny house. The bed were super comfy! Sitting outside by the creek was awesome we had ducks walking up to us and "chillin" right next to us. Quiet neighborhood and street. Would love to go back in the summer to tip my toes in the creek.

We came down for the East Coast Mini Truck Nationals. Driveway fit a dually, a trailer and a show truck. The cabin was SO clean and smelled wonderful. We got to meet hosts Beth and Ken on our first day. They are great people and very responsive with communication. The beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed porch sitting in the rocking chairs and listening to Jonathan Creek flow through the yard in the morning and evenings as we sat outside. We loved our stay at Cottage on the Creek.

Easy access to main road but property is on a quiet road with sidewalk if you want a nice stroll on level ground. I’ve stayed here a couple of times and have enjoyed it each time.

Cozy Cottage by the Creek
We enjoyed staying at this cozy and very clean cottage by the creek! The high end touches and the beautiful back yard next to creek were nice surprises!

I was a little bit surprised over some of the fees. We were charged a different amount for a pet fee than the original amount discussed. I also do not understand the non refundable cleaning fee. I felt the cleaning fee was a bit too much. There were instructions that had to be comppeted at time of checkout or you could possibly be charged more cleaning fees. I cleaned out refrigerator, empty trashed, stripped sheets on both beds, and put all towels in laundry bags that was provided by the owner. With that being said the property was on a nice lot, the view was great. We really enjoyed the stream, bonfire , and cover deck.

My family had such a great weekend!
We went to Maggie Valley to go skiing. The neighborhood was super quiet, and the home was so cozy! It was plenty warm, and there was plenty of hot water for all 4 of us to shower. We used the fire pit to make s'mores out by the creek. I can't to visit again.

This property was a little small but very nice otherwise. Loved the porch! We could walk our dog on the local greenway. Easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and National Park. Not a long drive to Asheville either. There weren't many campers staying in the rv/trailer parks across the creek and road so quiet. My dog isn't suppose to shed, but she does a little. So I brought swifter to make sure I picked up all the hair. A vacuum is provided by the owners. Great trip! Enjoyed it a lot.

Everything was as advertised and despite the fact that I felt a few of the additional fees like the cleaning fee in particular was excessive I couldn’t complain about the accommodations.

We have stayed at this property several times over the past few years. It is so nice and clean. It is well equipped with necessities and extras. The property owner is so hospitable. Best of all is the outdoor area overlooking Jonathan creek.
