About this house rental

Welcome to the Trophy Buck Lodge, a beautiful log cabin on 6 acres in the White Mountains of Arizona in the lovely town of Heber. Our lodge was built in 2011 and is about 7000 sq ft. with 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and 2 kitchens. Sleeps 16 (8 couples) comfortably. There is an overflow area in the loft and basement accommodations for blow up mattresses and cushions to sleep much more guest.

On the main floor is a large kitchen and in the basement is a second kitchen. Off the main kitchen is a covered patio to enjoy your meals in the cool mountain air. The walkout basement leads to a grassy area overlooking the forest. Trophy Buck Lodge backs up to the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. The Lodge has been built on 6 acres near the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Heber, AZ.

Kitchens are stocked with plates, pots, and pans, bowls, crock-pot and rice-maker. There is also an outside grill and a warming oven in the main kitchen. Everything you need for a good family outing.

Dogs are allowed but they MUST stay outside or in the two car garage. NO pets in the Lodge.

We can not host weddings or events on our property

We are in a residential area the HOA has asked use to have NO music or loud speakers outside.

We had a great family weekend. Had several out of state families with kids of all ages. Hosts were gracious to allow early check-in in order to allow for different arrival times and food prep. Children loved the space indoors and out. Grownups loved the covered patio with the Arizona heat and occassional monsoons. The Lodge was everything we were hoping for and then some. Thank you

Debbie was a gracious and communicative host. My family spends new year’s at a cabin every year. We love the fresh air, snow and spending time together. This cabin has many bedrooms, spacious living room and best if all an amazing and well stocked kitchen. We really enjoyed our trip.

We finally did it! Found an exceptional home that met every possible request we wanted and needed to accomodate our two families for our celebration of Christmas. Sometimes pictures can make things look better than they really are but not this place. Everything you see in these pictures are actually what you get and THEN SOME!! We had 21 people ( from the OR coast to the beautiful mountains of CO) and guess what, there was not a single complaint from anyone. Our host and hostess were very accomodating in answering any questions and always being available. We hope to plan another get-together maybe sometime in the summer months. In the meantime, thank you Debbie and Mark Allen for letting us share your beautiful home and hope you have a wonderful and healthy New Year. Jan and Chester

We loved all the space in the huge kitchen and living area, the outdoor dining facilities, and the king sized beds. Mark was right next door and was very quick to respond to our questions and requests. The house is well stocked with everything that’s needed.

We stay away from home often as a large group. This cabin comfortably fit 12 adults, 2 teens, and 8 kids. We had a few cancel at the last minute but they would have easily fit. We brought corn hole and board games and had plenty to do. The porch fits the whole group for meals. Hosts are kind and easy to reach. The kitchen was fun to use- you won’t need to bring anything but the food. It’s even littles friendly with high chairs and kid sized picnic tables. Great cabin!

We had an amazing stay at Trophy Buck. Hosts are so helpful and quick to respond. This is our second stay. Though there wasn’t any snow, we found some just a short drive away. The house has a lot to offer. The big kitchen is our favorite with the worlds largest cast iron skillet! We cooked eggs for 20 people!

Lodge is even more beautiful than pictures show. Plenty of room, gorgeous property, and hosts were extremely accommodating and great with communication. Close to town, yet when at the lodge you feel so secluded...very private. We will be back for sure!

Cabin was excellent for me and my family. Enjoyed the spaces, the scenery, and as an added bonus we even got some snow! Truly a wonderful place to spend time with family or to just get away from distractions.

The cabin is amazing love the location. The owners are helpful and always on the property. We did get yelled at a few times for leaving a door open but we only had them open because the house did smell like gas possibly from the heater just getting turned on. We did call the owner over to check on it but he said Everything was fine but the smell was so strong. The other major disappointment was the fireplace didn’t work. You pay a lot to rent this property and we love sit by the fire and hang out with friend but we were not able to do that this time. We did have a fire outside but it was very chilly.

We loved staying at this property with our family! It was big enough to fit everyone and allowed space for everyone, too. Mark and Debbie were so friendly when we booked the cabin, to the time we arrived. We loved getting to know Mark and the family more during our stay! Very clean and accommodated for all meals, family games, and more! Perfect space for a family getaway in the quiet mountains. We would love to book this for future family weekends!

We visited TBL with our family of 15 for the thanksgiving holiday. Debbie met us there to check us in and give us the low down on the cabin. There was plenty of room for all of us to sleep comfortably and have our own space. The patio was large and had great seating, tables etc. The fireplace was not working and was kind of a bummer but we had a couple fires in the outdoor fire pit. We loved all the signs in the main bathroom and spent a lot of time reading all them.

Booked this for my parents and their friends - 20 seniors (70-85 yrs). The property was absolutely wonderful giving the right amount of privacy with ample separate bedrooms and large gathering space for everyone to have meals together and have group fun. It was clean, well-stocked and all the appliances incl. A/C and heater were working great. The owners were super helpful and responsive to any questions we had asked. You could see that they have put a lot of thought and love in creating this space. This is definitely getting bookmarked for future trips. Thanks Mark and Debbie

We had a wonderful family get-together at this lodge - 25 of us (all ages). It is immaculately clean, so well maintained and very well stocked. The owners were very kind and available to answer any of our questions. We would highly recommend this lovely and very spacious VRBO. It is more than just a cabin!

Trophy Buck Lodge provided us with just what we needed for our family reunion. It was well stocked, well maintained (both inside and outside), sanitary, and spacious for weekend gathering for our large group. We felt very welcome by the host and hostess who were on top of our requests. This is a lovely lodge that looks nearly new and is immaculately cared for. The enormous space with LARGE covered outdoor deck was just so ideal for our large group -- there was plenty of indoor/outdoor space to find alone time and/or time together for our entire family that ranged from age 5 months on to 90 years old. We cooked, laughed, visited, played, and our hearts are just full of JOY. Thank you Mark and Debbie, for making this our best family reunion we have ever had (we've been doing this for over 30 years and recently have outgrown most other large rentals).

This was our 2nd stay here at the the Trophy Buck Lodge, we experienced the same wonderful time that we did on our 1st visit last year. This Cabin is big enough for everyone, and has something to offer for everyone, we had adult kids and Grand-kids, and nobody wanted to go home... Our Group was 20 people this year, and didn't feel too small or crowded....This Cabin is highly recommended by everyone in my family. After searching for weeks for an affordable but large enough house to hold a family reunion for our 25+ family members we came across this beautiful lodge in Heber. It was exactly what we were looking for! Eight bedrooms with either king or queen sized beds, a large open living room with a huge couch on the main floor and another open room with a big couch downstairs. There were mats for the kids who ended up sleeping on the floor and plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and two kitchens with plenty of fridge space for all of our food and an amazing table that seats twelve as well as outdoor tables so we could all sit down and eat. It's the first time our family has been able to be all in one place together but not feel like we were on top of each other or in each other's way the whole time. The kids were able to run and play and the adults were able to sit and visit or play games and enjoy our time together. We set up a badminton net and played Frisbee and Spikeball on the front grass. The kids all enjoyed checking for eggs every day and bringing them up to the house. Mark and Debbie were wonderful to work with and accommodated our every need. They were very friendly and welcoming and it was good to visit with them. We were all amazed by all of the animals on the walls and had fun counting them and trying to figure out what they all were. Every one of us had an amazing time and were sad to see our weekend come to an end. We are planning to make this a yearly tradition as we can't imagine a more perfect place for our family to come together.

This property was perfect for our recent family vacation! Mark and Debbie were great to work with from the moment we booked until we had left. We had 17 adults and 8 kids all under one roof and never felt cramped. At only a little more than 2 hours from the East Valley, this 7000 square foot cabin is well laid out, feels new, with 8 comfortable bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, spacious gathering areas and 2 kitchens with indoor and outdoor seating. The kids visited the chicken coop each day and the fresh eggs were delicious. The highlight was the main family room where the majority of the almost 90 animal mounts found throughout the house are located. Kids and adults alike were fascinated with the variety of animals displayed including giraffe, zebra, bear, warthog, mountain lion, bison, elk, etc. As we were leaving Mark and his son stopped by and shared some neat facts and stories about many of the animals. We recommended they put together a little picture guide that gives names and info matching the different animal mounts found around the house. Thank you Mark and Debbie for a wonderful holiday weekend stay!
