This property was awesome! Pics just as it is. Pool area perfect to chill during the day. Beautiful Trees. On a clear night head to the rooftop and turn off the lights. Insane stars! Restaurants recommend Capricorn Truck stop & Maxies. Had a private boat day where they picked us right from the dock. Private boat with enough people is cheaper than a regular excursion. We had a fabulous time at Stella Di Mare. Naomi and Victor are amazing and took such great care of us. It was a perfect place for our family to relax and enjoy. We liked the location away from San Pedro and close enough to great bars and restaurants without having to go into town. We sat looking at the water each morning while drinking our coffee and enjoying breakfast burritos we got from the local vendor that rides his bike by each day. Be sure to have your golf carts arranged with them as well so easy and cheap. Thanks for a great stay

From the moment we booked Stella Di Mare it was the easiest VRBO ever! Randy, the owner, Victor and Naomi the caretakers were absolutely lovely every step of the way! And of course, the home was beautiful and in the most stunning setting… What a wonderful vacation… The insane amount of fishing, my husband and children did and the snorkeling and scuba diving we all did was incredible! The pool is AMAZING! So relaxing. We will definitely go back… we haven’t been gone for more than 48 hours and we miss it already!

Our family of five had a wonderful time at Stella di Mare. The house was as described and immaculate(!), the pool enormous and one of the best we’ve ever rented, the communications with the owner speedy, reliable and thorough, and the onsite caretakers very accommodating and informative. The location was just far enough from the busy “city” of San Pedro, but not so far north to be inconvenient. The view from the property is breathtaking, just everything you would hope for on a tropical island. Thank you!!

The house was great for our family of 5. Right on the water with great view of the sunrise in the morning. The pool and hot tub were great for relaxing. We booked an excursion and they picked us up at our dock which was great. Location was great if you don’t want to be in town but located about halfway between town and Secret beach. Easy to get to both by golf cart. There was a guy that stops by in the morning that sells breakfast tacos which were great. The property caretaker is awesome and very helpful. The owner was quick to respond to any inquiries. We would definitely book again.

Coudnlt have been a better stay. First, the communication with the property owner was great. AnytimeI had a question leading up to my trip he was always receptive and helpful. Last, but not least, I cant say enough great things about Victor, (the property caretaker). Anything we needed , at anytime, was always taken care of by Victor and his wife. If time allowed I would go back just to see them again. The property was great. It was off the main road so it was very quiet and private. Kids always had something to do during the day with the large property, bean bags, pool, volleyball, beach front, etc. Sad to be back home.

We had an amazing stay here for Christmas 2023 ! Randy the owner was very helpful and responsive and the house managers who live on site were the most wonderful people - Victor & Noami ❤️ they made sure we had everything we needed and even had a friend come by each morning with home-made burritos. The people in Belize were very welcoming and we made memories to last a lifetime. House and property are gorgeous and look just like the pictures !!! We will be back !

Beautiful well cared for property. The pool was perfect and we loved the hot tub on the roof as well. Very quiet, peaceful area. Enjoyed eating at the many local places such as Sol Cafe, Tipsey Lobster, the swim up bar just 3 doors down. Our care taker Victor and his wife for stellar, always available and willing to answer any questions! For some of us this was our 4th trip to San Pedro, and we will be back!

Our group of 6 friends loved our stay at Stella Di Mare! First and foremost, Victor and Naomi, the caretakers, made us feel at home, not just in a rental house. I can not praise them enough, truly caring and wonderful people, with some great stories! The house is as advertised, it actually looks like the photos! Perfect size for our group, with room to spare. We liked the location, close enough to town for bars and restaurants, but private enough if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of San Pedro. The owner, Randy, was quick to respond to our abundant (haha) questions. Definitely have Victor arrange golf cart rental for you. The price was lower than what we saw in town and they were delivered to the house and waiting when we arrived.

The property is great. The AC works great, the pool is maintained and great. Victor and Naomi the caretakers are wonderful. Belize: bring LOTS of cash for tips, they take US dollars. The roads are dirt and rough, the town is poor, and they have one kind of beer which isn't my favorite. Summary: if you're just staying at the house it will be plush and relaxing, going into town...meh. If we ever go to Belize again I would stay here, we're not going to Belize again.

We traveled here with two family groups. The house was great for two families and we had more than enough space for 4 adults and 5 children. The pool was a great retreat. The grounds and house were kept very clean. It is only about a 15 minute golf cart trip to downtown, but it is an easy drive. There are great restaurants very close (less than a 5 minute drive). We were very happy with our stay, and would recommend it.

We just got back from a week stay at Villa Stella Di Mare and it was wonderful! We were a group of 4 adults and 2 teens from NYC and DC. We originally looked at resorts and we are so glad we stayed here instead. The house, pool and grounds were exactly as described. It was the perfect amount of space for our group and we loved the traditional style. Victor and Noemi were onsite and made our stay very smooth. Fishing and snorkel charters picked us up right from the dock. We had some windy days when our boat charter was cancelled however, we were in the perfect location to take golf carts to Secret Beach. Having the pool with a beautiful view was also fabulous, especially with kids. Overall it was a fantastic stay! Restaurant recommendations very nearby - Aji, Tipsy Lobster & Truck Stop. Maruba was our favorite spot on Secret Beach.

The location north of town was not too far back to town or to Secret Beach; lots of restaurants nearby; beautiful property; on the beach; private pool; plenty of room for all to spread out and enjoy. Noemi and Viktor (caretakers) were awesome! They were helpful and accommodating and Viktor cracked coconuts for us and taught us about the different varieties. Noemi cooked a spectacular authentic dinner for us one night! Would highly recommend!

We had a nice stay at Villa Stella di Mare. We had a couple minor glitches but Victor and Noemi (house managers) did their best to accommodate our every need. The house is a great option if you are not interested in staying in a resort. It is next door to a couple resorts that you can dine at and use the pool if you are looking for a change of scenery. Otherwise, very private and relaxing.

My family stayed here for a week, our group included a few adults and 4 teenagers. This house provided plenty of space for all of us ... plenty of sleeping arrangements, bathrooms, common area space, and wonderful outdoor areas to enjoy. The hosts Victor and Noemi were very kind, knowledgeable and helpful during our stay.
We loved being able to wake up and look out at the ocean and the palm trees, and also enjoy the cool pool on a hot afternoon. Also, this was our first trip to Belize, so we weren't sure where on Ambergris Caye would be the best location to stay .... well we made the right call. I had originally thought that we might want to be downtown, but this was hands-down the best location we could have had. It is private and quiet, but still close to many great restaurants and bars and a quick golf cart ride from our favorite spot, Secret Beach. We were close enough to downtown San Pedro to easily visit, but mostly enjoyed our time closer to the house. I would highly recommend this home for any family or group of friends visiting Belize!

Quiet Island Getaway North of Town
Perfect for our multi-generational family trip, Stella DiMare was an amazing property. But it's not all about the place, it's about the people too: caretakers Victor and Noemi are the ones who made our experience truly unforgettable. They arranged private tours for us with trusted operators, checked in on us every day, and overall just ensured that our vacation was free from snags. Also, if you book this place, you must hire Noemi to cook a traditional Belizean meal. It was the most delicious food that we ever had, basically. Could not recommend Stella DiMare enough!

This is one of the best stays we had as family on a vacation - the property is as described on the listing - right on the ocean with awesome pool, yard & caretakers...Victor & Naomi make your stay so much easy and comfortable, they become like family with their friendly dogs....this is one of the biggest green yards I've stayed in with so many trees and lush green setting right on the ocean...the pool is massive with nice pool chairs around....the pier is an awesome feature where you hang around early morning or night to grab coffee or late night drink....all our amazing snorkeling trips started and ended at our private pier with our tour operator picking us at the pier...with a golf cart, you can cruise the entire island including the beautiful secret beach which is 20 mnts on the cart from this property....you do have to get used to sea weed odor on the island as it is pretty much everywhere...so, when you arrive at this or any other place of stay on San Pedro, you can't avoid that sea weed smell...takes about an hour to get used to it as it becomes part of the stay...we spent hours outdoor on the pool and pier so it doesn't bother you after a while....overall an A+ experience and we will be back here in near future!

Loved San Pedro and our Stay
The grounds and location of the property are fantastic, and the house is quite comfortable, made more so by the attention paid to it by the caretakers Naomi and Victor and their dogs Prince and Rex who all make you feel very safe and well cared for.
We were a group of 8, two parents and our three adult children with their partners. We have traveled as a group previously to Maui and Grand Cayman and everyone enjoyed this trip the most. We asked the owner to arrange golf cart rentals and they were waiting for us at the house and everyone loved scooting around the island on them.
Many great restaurants, we will have to go back just to get them all in, we loved the fresh fish, lobster, and latin cuisines. Some of our favorites were Marbucks (breakfast) Elvi's kitchen, Truck Stop (finished in the money on trivia night which was a blast for everyone) Tipsy Lobster, Neri's tacos (ate there after checking in for departure flight, less than twenty five for all eight of us including drinks), El Fagon, and Stellas sunset.
The pool and beach area at the house were fantastic, and the house is close to Secret Beach which we really enjoyed especially on very windy days as Secret beach is on other side of island and very calm.
We utilized the kayaks on good days and went all the way out to the barrier reef, one of the kayaks has an anchor and we tied the other kayak to it while we snorkeled. Lots of fish out there. Victor arranged an all day snorkel trio for us and the meal we had on the boat, lobster chicken, and fish was our favorite of the whole vacation cooked right in front of us on a tiny grill with coconut husks and bbq charcoals.
Beds were comfortable and Naomi cleaned every day which is a rarity for VRBO rentals. Large fridge for leftovers or groceries, we stopped on way to house from airport to pick up those.
Plenty of room to spread out in house, nice kitchen table to eat or play games on, living area with small TV and large couch, tv gets all the main channels on cable. Upstairs has table and couch to read or work on, wifi hotspot located upstairs for better reception.
All in all very happy and highly recommend.

A stay we will never forget
We loved our stay it was close to excellent eating. We loved our walk every morning on the beach. You can walk forever. Victor and Naomi where great host on the property. They always made sure we had everything we asked for. We loved their two dogs and always felt safe with them around. We always bought burritos from the guys that came by early in the morning on their bikes. The sunrise was beautiful every morning. Victor helped the guys with fishing off of the dock. We had the guy pick us up for fun snorkeling on shark alley. We also had a guy pick us up on the dock for a wonderful dinner at the Portifino. A wonderful Christmas vacation for our family we will never forget.

Perfect for Rest & Relaxation
We had a nice relaxing vacation at Villa Stella Marie. We were there for seven nights in November which is the end of the rainy season so there were a couple of maintenance issues related to the house and the listed amenities which I have shared with the owner to resolve for future guests but otherwise the house was a perfect set up for us. The outdoor pool and deck are awesome! We also enjoyed immensely the private dock for morning coffee and evening sunsets. But what really makes Stella Marie special are the caretakers, Victor and Noemi and their two wonderful dogs. In addition to their work on the grounds and housekeeping, they go out of their way to be friendly and kind. Victor made time to cut up a fresh coconut for us right from a tree on the property and also arranged for a snorkeling trip where we were picked up and returned to the Villa's dock and his sweet wife Noemi greeted us everyday with her beautiful smile and caring heart. One last word of advice: buy fresh seafood from the man that comes by on his bike and if you don't feel like cooking breakfast or going out the burrito guy that comes by with his burritos is a fun option.

The home owner in the USA was so pleasant, easy to reach, accommodating, perfect. There are a husband & wife, Victor & Noami, who live on the 2+ acre property, in their care taker home. The Villa is lovely, while being a bit rustic as well. All 4 bedrooms are spacious. The setting is just breathtakingly beautiful. We arranged with the owner ahead of our arrival, to have Noami prepare a welcome dinner for the 8 of us. It was also a birthday celebration. I did ask for a cake to be there, not only was there a cake, but she had a few lovely decorations & a huge sparkler candle. It was great fun and delicious! I spoke with the owner before leaving the USA regarding Golf Cart Rentals. He recommended 2 carts for the 8 of us. The owner had Victor, set up the rental and they were waiting for us at our villa. I HIGHLY recommend that you take the flight to Ambergris Caye and NOT the Boat/Ferry - its way too LONG a trip! We boated over & flew back! Just a very short up the beach is a fabulous restaurant and bar - Coco Cabana!!! They're open for lunch, dinner, drinks and its soooooo good!!!! Also, Victor arranged a snorkling tour for us. We had 1 scuba diver, as well. Victor, had "Scuba Steve" pick us up at our private pier/dock for the afternoon adventure and we were brought right back hoem - PERFECT!I highly recommend staying here. It wasDELIGHTFUL!!!

Fabulous Birthday Trip!!
8 of us spent a week in Belize at this wonderful house. We had plenty of room to spread out and the house itself was comfy and beautiful. We all had a wonderful time. Victor was extremely easy to work with, and he and his wife Naomi took great care of us. When we arrived the house was completely full of all groceries we had ordered. And one night Naomi prepared an incredible meal. We went on 4 different excursions and they were all better than the previous one! We will never forget eating fresh caught conch ceviche, fresh fish, and lobster on the beach. Thank you very much Stella di Mare for your hospitality and we hope to be back very soon!!

AWESOME TIME!
Four couples easily stayed in this fantastic house. Though we shared some of our spaces we had our privacy whenever needed and we could have easily stayed to ourselves if needed. Victor (the caretaker) did a great job of meeting us at the airport and made sure we were comfortable with the house, how it operated and helping us arrange trips and adventures. We went snorkeling at Shark Ray Alley, went to the jungle for cave-tubing, and took a full day catamaran trip with SeaDuced. All of these were great! Wish we could have stayed longer but we'll definitely go back! It really was an AWESOME TIME!

5 stars aren't enough
From the minute you arrive until the moment you leave, you will be surrounded by beauty, comfort, privacy and the most generous hospitality at Stella di Mare. Our family of 6 (my husband and I, our two daughters and our two granddaughters) hated to leave after 7 glorious days there. The home is as beautiful as the pictures make it appear and the other reviews confirm. The ambiance is one of peace and understated luxury. The rooms are spacious; the kitchen is well stocked; the bathrooms are large and elegant; the furniture and beds are all comfortable; and the cool breeze from the sea blows through the house. Victor and Naomi help with whatever you need. They booked our various trips and excursions including the marvelous day trip on SeaDuced (a must!) and our cave-tubing and zip-line excursion. They helped with suggestions for restaurants, and for the times we ate at "home", they helped with little extras like fruit and tomatoes and more! They even showed us where to find the most beautiful conch shells and Victor showed us how he cuts a coconut (with a machete) to get the coconut water and the fresh coconut. We highly recommend ordering groceries before your arrival - it's a big time-saver. Stella di Mare is so comfortable and relaxing, we spent more time there than we had expected. We loved snorkeling off the dock (there are literally hundreds of fish right there) and paddling out to the reef. We loved kayaking and jumping off to snorkel there. The pool was always perfect as was watching the sunrise from the front porch or sitting on the top deck, reading or just watching the ocean. An unexpected bonus was seeing the night sky filled with stars during the boat rides back from the restaurants. We also recommend one more self-indulgence - get a massage on the top deck! You cannot possibly find a more lovely and private spot to stay on Ambergris Caye, or possibly anywhere else.

Great Place to Stay and Great Adventures !
When it comes to our family vacations, we have 2 simple, but firm, requirements: a great place to stay that offers great activities and experiences. Our recent stay at Stella di Mare "over-delivered" on both. A great place to stay...Stella di Mare is a unique beachfront home on the north side of the island. The grounds are immaculately maintained by Victor and his wife Naomi (the caretakers). The house is beautifully and comfortably decorated and has a fully stocked kitchen and more than enough room for the 6 of us. The hot tub was great after a day of diving or climbing ancient Mayan ruins. The bedrooms were perfect and the bath towels felt luxurious after long days on the water. Victor and Naomi helped plan our activities and were a great support during our stay. Just like waiters in a fine restaurant, they were there when you needed them and invisible when you did not. But, it was the little things that stood out like Victor getting us fresh lobster from one of his local contacts, or showing my daughter the best places to hunt for shells and helping find some lovely conch shells. Victor helped us put together a plan that included a fishing trip, a tour of the Mayan ruins on the mainland, snorkeling, scuba diving, and sailing trips. We all highly recommend Stella di Mare as a family destination on Ambergris Caye, Belize. The house is perfect for families and you can easily use it as a base for all the activities you can handle! And one more thing for parents...Tuck the kids in and head up to the roof, grab a nightcap, and take in the countless stars twinkling just above your head! You will be in awe!!

Just returned from a glorious visit at Stella di Mare on Ambergris Caye in Belize. After months of planning , we arrived at a beautiful oceanfront home to enjoy a vacation that exceeded our expectations. A 4 bedroom home that is well decorated and has a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, balconies and decks with plenty of seating and a refreshing pool. Our group, which included 4 of our adult children, took full advantage of all that was available to us. We relaxed at the villa, kayaked out to the reef to snorkel, took a day trip on a catamaran to swim with the sharks and rays and also visited Caye Caulker. We also went to the Mayan Ruins, had great massages on the roof deck, and did some fishing. We also had several nice dinners at local restaurants and one evening had Naomi the caretaker prepare an incredible meal for us! Victor and Naomi steered us in the right direction for all of our activities, so if they recommend something, go with it! Each recommendation was better than the previous one! Great Home, Great Location, Great Memories, and great caretakers.

A family gathering like no other !
All of our expectations were exceeded with Stella Di Mare! Well-designed, very comfortable, and great attention to details. The view is exceptional with white sand, a native landscaping, and palm trees framing the view to the sea. We enjoyed solitude and privacy without isolation. The local ferry provides easy boat to downtown San Pedro. Local fishing, scuba and snorkeling guides picked us up at our private dock. Comfortable chairs under trees provided an awesome view. The house itself has an open design with a solid kitchen, comfortable beds and verandas on which to look out and relax. There is a sense of harmony and peace that defines Stella di Mare. Victor and Naomi, the caretakers, are incredibly kind and gracious, knowledgeable and helpful. They made, at our request, all arrangements for fishing, scuba diving and excursions. They live in a separate house on the back of the property and are very respectful of privacy. Their love of this villa and life in Belize is obvious. Our family gathering was made simply wonderful. Things we liked included the burrito guy coming by with fresh hot treats, a nap in the hammock, sitting with a cocktail at the end of the dock, and just enjoying the peaceful fun! The best part was family time and the beauty of Stella di Mare. Go with friends, go with family....but go!
