Hosts were awesome and nice place

My family stayed at this property for a week in July. We loved the location - very quiet neighborhood and beautiful downtown Beaufort is only a 20 min drive away.
The house is exactly as described in the listing. No frills, but had all the needed items for a relaxing stay. Beds were comfortable and the overall feel of the house definitely fits the area - rustic and relaxing.
Some things to note:
* As the listing says, the upstairs does get warm over the summer. We adjusted the vents as noted in the listing details, but if you are someone who likes

Great spot, brought our small dog, walked everywhere. Place was very clean and had all items, like towels and napkins, easily accessible. High ceiling which was lovely. Bathroom was very clean. We would stay again!
Only con that’s not even really a con- The clawfoot tub is so cute and clean, water pressure great BUT as a tall person I felt unstable and didn’t know where to hold onto should I fall while showering. This is probably a personal problem….

Perfect distance to Parris Island, clean and comfortable. It's like a time capsule, would definitely stay again.

Our group attended family day and graduation for our new Marine. The drive from the property to the base was under 10 minutes- and that matters at 5 am!
The property, particularly the kitchen, was very well equipped for all of our needs. Comfortable beds, quality linens throughout, informative guest book, easy check in/ check out ( once we learned how to open the lockbox!). Parking was easy and convenient.
The town of Port Royal is charming, and everyone we encountered was very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely consider visiting again!

If you have a Marine at Parris Island there can’t be a better more convenient place to stay. And lots of places to eat.

House was flea infested and had to leave after 1 full night. My 14 lb dog was blamed who had been groomed and flea treated on the 9th of June, they claim exterminator had to come 3 times. I was told I would be given partial refund and then they denied. I asked to speak directly to owner and was also denied. This was a total dissappoinment

Had a great time. Took the family to the beach and a little fishing and great food. The house was great and had everything we needed for a great stay.

We stayed two nights in this stunning and seemingly turn of the century home with modern upgrades (without losing its historical charm). The location cannot be beat. There was also plenty of extra bedding and towels, which is always appreciated in my book. All of this and more for a very reasonable price.

We came for a family wedding in Beaufort and had an amazing weekend at this charming, historic home. We appreciate older homes so we felt right at home here and enjoyed the quiet, friendly neighborhood and the location - a short walk to great restaurants, coffee shops and the beach. Though it’s older it had everything we needed. We would recommend this home and would definitely stay here again.

My family and I stayed in this pink treasure in early April. Thoroughly enjoyed the house, the neighborhood, and the nearby shops and restaurants. The house had everything we needed, including condiments, beach towels, cute kitchen towels, and two porches. Two porches! I loved the porches. I hope we can visit again in the future.

House was not very clean, has not been deep cleaned for quite awhile. There is an issue with the septic vent pipe, strong sewer odor upstairs. Property manager did not seem too concerned with the issue. She did send cleaning company back but still did very little cleaning. The shower/bathtub combo is not very user friendly difficult getting in and out of. The location was excellent

We arrived at the property on Wednesday, when we opened the doors there was a strong scent of animal urine coming from the inside of the home. We got inside the property and started walking around, instantly I started sneezing and coughing. There was cat fur balls on the couch, beds, stairs and windows. The house was not cleaned. I contacted the property manager immediately and Tina informed me she could send a maid to clean the home or we could leave and get a full refund. We drove 11 hours to get there and booked this house months in advance for almost 1000$. It is unacceptable that the house was not vacuumed or beds washed prior to our stay. Tina the property manager told us to leave and she would refund our money. A few days later she messaged me that she was no longer refunding us our money because all she found in the home was feathers and possibly dog hair. To make matters worse after only 5-10 minutes in the home my six year old daughter was wearing shorts, my daughter had been bitten all over her legs by fleas. The rest of us had pants on so we only got one or two on our ankles, but my baby has them covering her entire ankles and calves. Tina informed me that there are stray cats around the property and that we were most likely bit walking 20 feet from our car to the front door. I have rented over 30+ homes and have never experienced such bad property management. She took no responsibility for the situation and still refused the deposit, even though she told us immediately to leave and she would refund us.

Lovely area
We greatly enjoyed our stay in Port Royal! The area is so beautiful and we loved learning and exploring all over. The sands beach was unlike any I've been to. It's small, not crowded at all and great for finding sharks teeth and insane oyster clusters! We saw dolphins along the shoreline. At low tide, the amount of hermit crabs, blue crabs and little shrimp were so fun to observe.
There are some really great restaurants within walking distance and the Cypress Wetlands were stunning.
The house itself is older, therefore in the summer it can get uncomfortably hot upstairs. We learned about 2 days into our stay, if we needed to do laundry, to wait until the morning, but overall with the fans it was fine.
I do want to put this out there for anyone else with physical disabilities, the stairs are very steep leading up to the bedrooms and the bathtub is not handicap accessible. I didn't realize there wasn't a shower bar to help my 6 year old get in and out of the tub and he had to scoot on his bottom up and down the stairs. Overall we enjoyed our stay and loved learning all about the history of the area.

Lovely Lowcountry Home
We really enjoyed our stay - Port royal was a great destination for our long weekend stay. Although our teens called the house gramma’s, we thought it was an excellent historic house and very much loved the 2nd story porch, walks to the water and cypress gardens. Thank you! I hope we can come back again.

Port Royal get away
The problem I had with the property was that my parents are 89 and 86 and the bathroom was not conducive to the elderly. They could not bath due the the height of the tub and no grab bars. I had a problem to with getting in to shower with a bad leg.

The property is very beautiful. Although it was not mentioned until the day before check in that there was two apartments attached in the rear. We were respectful of this, but part of our party was awaken about midnight from the neighbors who were talking loudly in one of the apartments. We were told there was one parking space in the front and one extra in the back. Unfortunately, we do not own a car but only a SUV and trucks neither of which will fit in the back space provided. Another downfall was the air conditioner. Downstairs was comfortable but upstairs was terribly hot. Especially if someone took a hot shower or ran the dryer. Overall the location was great and the home was beautiful but it does need some other items addressed.

The house was fine for our needs and comfortable for the six weeks we were housebound by the Coronoavirus pandemic.
Also, we were allowed to extend our stay until deep April when we were supposed to leave at the end of March. Thanks!

An excellent stay
We had a wonderful time here. The house is great, very nicely set out and there was lots of room. My daughter loved reading and writing at the table in the large kitchen. It's an ideal location for USMC graduation, but set 10 minutes from the Main Gate in the really nice town of Port Royal. We ate at Madison's around the corner and it was excellent. I also walked to Sand Beach where there were pelicans and great views.
I enjoyed myself so much I may come back for someone else's graduation.

Clean, plenty of supplies including the FREE home feel. Seriously if you are going to Parris Island Marine Base for graduation ceremonies this is the nicest, and easiest place to stay. Literally, 5 minutes to base (for real no joke) and quiet neighborhood.

Unimpressed
Home was not clean, furniture shabby and ripped, dirty linen/dishes on table. Home smelled musty. Damage on bathroom door. Needs interior painting. Did not know property included attached and occupied apartments. One of bedrooms had very uncomfortable bed with hidden blocked window. Insufficient information about area activities other than obvious restaurants.
