About this cabin rental
Decor is cute, quaint, comfy and cozy! Walls are white washed tongue and groove! Free WiFi for all your streaming on two Smart TVs, one in living room. I supply free Amazon Tv and Visio TV! Blu Ray DVD with lots of dvds to watch! Seconds to historic downtown Clayton but feels like the middle of nowhere! Tons of hikes, parks and gorgeous waterfalls! Nearby by is Hemlock Falls at Moccasin Creek state Park, Talulah Gorge, Bartram Trail to moderate hikes. Within 25 minutes is the Bull Sluice rapid area of the Chatooga River, I love to swim and watch the kayaks/rafts shoot class four rapids. They shot the movie Deliverance there! There is a day bed with a pop up trundle. It can be a twin or two twins side by side! Upstairs in the loft is a double bed! This cabin has all you need. There is an exterior security camera (only points towards driveway.) The wrap around deck has two small tables and anirondac chairs to laze around! There is a fire pit to enjoy as well! No hot tub, VRBO has a glitch in their system stating that I do.
ONLY small breed dogs are permitted with permission of the owner. No animals are ever allowed on beds and furniture. Ask owner first, tell breed and weight first, once approved, then select pet fee when booking as part of what you will owe.

You gotta go to the Chattooga River for a dip. I go a lot! Feels great. Perhaps you know, but in the event you don’t. Go out 76 east (about 25 minutes from cabin). GPS Bulls Sluice...great parking, easy walk to the biggest rapid on the river. Great pools to swim, awesome boulders to suntan on and watch white water rafters! When you park and start down trail, one can go left (takes you to rapids) and right (takes you to a groovy beach and quieter waters below rapids.) It’s my happy place and wonderful for sore hiking muscles!!

It was perfect for the two of us. Clayton area is beautiful, though we stuck around this gem of a cabin mostly surrounded by woods in an accessible, near everything location. Lots of welcome birds, otherwise very quiet.

GREAT PLACE OVERALL. WILL STAY AGAIN WHEN WE VISIT AGAIN.

A frame 600+sq ft home. Beautiful scenery absolutely loved the porch. AC was wonderful. Washer/dryer was so convenient. Outside fire pit was there. Lots of outside seating. Super quiet neighborhood. Drive way: in a big 2500 crew cab can turn around and park at house. Just take a few deep turns which was directed from owner before arriving. We visited Black Rock Mnt, Toccoa Ga. Magic Oven, Foxfire, Talluah Park, Blue Ridge Honey. Downtown store. Mostly enjoyed the quiet getaway surrounded with trees.

Nice clean cabin perfect for a weekend stay

Last weekend was mine and my beautiful wife's anniversary, and I was feeling spontaneous and wanted to do something sweet for her! This place was great! Its in a quiet area, pretty close to anything you may need or want to do for all you outdoor lovers. The owner of the property, and with a request from me, went above and beyond with making my wife feel really special! Beautiful flowers, champagne, and she even had chocolate covered strawberries, and sweet little decorations up to just make our visit so much more romantic! We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an awesome little place on a budget, or even those who just want a place that feels like home away from home. Tanya is really nice and did a great job making this an anniversary for my wife and I to remember!

Quiet and peaceful place to sleep.
4.6
With the bedding choices in todays market the bedding in the downstairs living area was very uncomfortable and not practical at all. We were unable to utilize the upper bedroom because of the inability of my wife to maneuver the stairs. Other than that, the overall cabin was great.
4.6
The cabin was very cute and had most things you would need. It's good for a short stay. The parking situation was the only negative. It rained the whole time and we had to walk back and forth the distance from the cabin to the street, but other than that, it was a good place that was close to many activities.

it was a wonderful small cabin that seemed like you was right at home, Beds was so comfortable and kitchen had a all the necessities you needed to cook right there. It was so peaceful till somedays it was hard to leave, the deck kept calling my name. The stairs were steep but if you do as the sign says, you wont have any problems and i have to go thru the night like some. Ms Tanya (the owner) told us some places to go within 10 mins from cabin and i have been going there for years and never knew about these places, and it was well worth going the sights were awesome, Will i go back? Yes and will I stay there again? Most definately! I love this little cabin!

I'm a single guy that wanted to fish and hike. This place was perfect and in the middle of a cool little neighborhood. Not the place to party at, but if you really want to enjoy a cozy place, have some peace, and be able to walk to town this is it for sure. I loved every second of it, wish i could have stayed longer

We absolutely loved this space...It was perfect for my wife and I as well as our 11 year old son who stayed in what we called the "Crow's Nest" in the loft. Very clean. Communication was as expected with the owner/property manager. We did have a moment when we first arrived when we couldn't quite spot the correct driveway--it was a bit hidden. A sign on the driveway told us we were in the right place, but in the dark it took a minute:)

First time in Clayton. Glad we found this place!

We rented this place because it stated in 2 places on Vrbo that there was a hot tub and 2 smart TVs. No hot tub and one TV. Secluded but with lots of neighboring homes. Listing was misleading and it was very hard to get our things in and out of the home. We booked for our anniversary and really expected a hot tub. Also, the loft stairs were very sketchy. Owner had written to go backwards down the steps from the loft, where the only double bed was. I attempted it and almost fell backing down the very steep stairs. Not sure those stairs are even up to code but we ended up sleeping on the daybed on the main floor. I’ve read all the reviews and agree that the owner doesn’t accept constructive criticism but I agree with many others. This place is not a good fit for older or elderly people. Super cute place but we wouldn’t stay again! Recommend for young couples or athletic folks.
Vrbo and/or owner should really take off that there is a hot tub because there’s not one at all and driveway is hard to navigate!

There were handwritten notes in marker all over the property telling us what *not* to do ("don't steal my hangers") that made us feel like we were unwelcome intruders. There were so many personal photos of the owner, that it felt like we were invading her space. After more carefully reading reviews, we noticed anything even slightly negative is refuted, instead of graciously accepted as feedback. The stairs to the loft are treacherous, as is the extremely rutted driveway. I wish there had been a sign there telling us not to back out, but that's the one sign that was missing.

Absolutely loved our stay there! It was so cozy and cute! We didn’t want to leave!! Definitely will return! Thank you!!😊

We had a lovely stay at this charming little A Frame... it was close to town yet felt remote and secluded. Tonya was very responsive and sweet... we felt like we were staying in a cottage owned by our family ❤️
4.6
Overall great experience. Great for a couple to stay in. The bed upstairs was large enough however I typically prefer a firm mattress so it was a little uncomfortable for me though im sure it would be better for the majority of others out there. My girlfriend and I had a great time here checking out all the parks, hiking trails, waterfalls, and mountain views. Would absolutely stay here again!
4.6
Tonya did a great job getting back with us. Which set our minds at ease. So glad we had options in sleeping arrangements. Upstairs was hard for my husband. But we made it work. I hope if you need a quiet getaway you give this cabin a try.

Cabin tucked away in the woods quite nicely furnished. Easy to find close to hiking trails.

The pictures were a little deceiving the place was smaller than we anticipated. It was nice but very small.

We had amazing weekend at this cabin. So cute and cozy. Close to everything and very clean. Tanya was very accommodating as we had to reschedule twice due to health issues. We had a great weekend.

Great property. Great location

My dog, Hudson, and I had a tremendously serene and peaceful three day's at Tanya's cabin in Clayton. We loved walking around the woods, hiking in Black Rock Mountain State Park, taking lake hikes, golfing at Kingwood, and dining in Clayton. We also spent a day in Blairsville doing all of our favorite activities. Amazing weekend getaway and retreat.

This place is incredible! It's cozy, cute, and clean. We lobed its quiet location with the convenience of being close to town-- it's the best of both worlds. We are avid hikers, so the proximity to all the state parks with great hiking trails was perfect for us! We highly recommend for couples.

We had a great time staying at the Gypsy Rose. Soft clean beds. Kitchen is well stocked and unlike most rentals there were so many hooks to use for coats and towels! Shower was hot and bigger than expected for a tiny cabin. Tanya was a great communicator and gave us so many options of local places to check out and every place was on point! This entire area has so much to discover.
Fantastic porch and fire pit area we wish had more time to use. You will feel like you are deep in the woods even with houses and a town near. Bonus point for easy access and nicest grocery stores ever.
4.6
We had a wonderful week in the mountains at this property. Beautiful wooded lot, large deck and convenient to many Local attractions.
4.6
I did not like cancellation of booking and having to rebook at higher price. Would have canceled if my wife did not have her heart set on this get away. We had dreamed of a week on Clayton for years.
4.6
This cabin is a great stay, the only thing I really didn’t like was the tv which only had Amazon tv and no satellite or cable

Not good for seniors.

Location and Charm
We enjoyed staying a night at this lovely cabin. Great location to all your North Georgia activities. Beds were comfy and plenty of room for this size house. We did not use the loft bed but the day bed and trundle underneath were great.
Everything was as advertised. We would definitely stay here again. Clean and well kept.
We enjoyed going to Goats on the roof, Black Rock Moutain State Park, Foxfire museum, and Tallulah Gorge State Park.

Cutest little A frame!
Loved the property! My husband and I went to Clayton for whitewater rafting and visit the Foxfire Museum. The cabin’s location was perfect - convenient (right in town) and private (nestled in a nice wooded area). Great fire pit.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Wooded feel and privacy but also very close to downtown Clayton. The hike at Stonewall falls was awesome and only 15 min away.

Lovely time
The cabin was adorable, clean and perfect for our quick getaway. Loved drinking coffee on the deck sand would’ve used the fire pit if the weather had cooperated. :) A great place to be close to town but still feel remote, close proximity to all kinds of outdoor adventures.

Located close to all we were interested in. The cabin had a nice clean feel, really cutely decorated, had all we needed. Thanks!
