My family stayed at the beautiful Poipu House at Makelea. The house was lovely, open with tasteful and comfortable furnishings and decor. Large comfortable king suites and abundant lanai furninishing made for lots of spots to relax and enjoy the soft breezes and even the occasional rain showers. Our grandkids, 2+year old and 2 5-6year olds swam for hours in the amazing pool. We enjoying the well equiped kitchen for our meals in with lots of opportunity for take out locally. A memorable family gathering in part due to our lovely accomodation and of course who doesn't love Kauai!!

Home is incredible for family, friends, or couples. Great location. The 2 additional suites do not have interior access from main home, access is from the lanai upstairs. The home had everything you need for beach, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, some snorkel gear. Perfect home for Kauai vacation! Mahalo!

Great house perfect for my family! Kitchen is excellent, pool is so much fun!! Beautiful view of golf course. Very large and spacious!! Comfy beds and furniture. Great location convenient to beautiful Poipu beach and easy to get to everything on island! HIGHLY recommend!!

From the minute you walk into the front gate you are blown away by the property. We were there in January and the pool was perfect. Almost made you not want to go to the beach….but when we did, there was all the amenities we needed for the day. Everything you could think of needing was at the house. Only regret is not staying longer.

It’s hard to put into words how amazing our stay was at the Kauai Exclusive Management-Poipu House at Makalea. First time using VRBO, but now it definitely won’t be the last. Believe your eyes. The pictures are 100% accurate. Quiet neighborhood. Home was incredible. Pool was outstanding. Beach is a 1 minute drive, 15 minute walk. Shopping and activities are all minutes away on the Poipu end of Kauai. It was a vacation of a lifetime and will live in our memories for the rest of time.

Everyone enjoyed the huge living room and gorgeous pool. The rooms were perfect we felt like we had as much space as needed we had 12 people and the fit was perfect. Amazing house inside and out. Everything we needed to cook was in the kitchen

The house and the pool/outdoor area were like a private oasis and exceeded our expectations!! We really liked the quiet neighborhood and location close to restaurants and beaches!! Was frustrated with property management when our air conditioning went out and wasn’t fixed and the light in half bathroom never worked so bathroom was unusable the whole time we were there. Someone came to try to fix it ( and even left his tool ) but never came back and we never heard from him again. Some small details that would have been nice would have been a spice rack with the basic spices and a few more towels in each bathroom. Overall, the vacation exceeded our expectations, the home was lovely, and the pool and outdoor area gorgeous!

We were celebrating our 50th anniversary two years late because of the pandemic. We were a group of 10. The house size was perfect and the pool was a huge hit with everyone. It was as described EXCEPT the air conditioning was only in the bedrooms and the living section of the house could get very hot. Thank goodness for the pool!!

We had a great time. There were 10 of us and the house was perfect for our stay. Close enough to the beach if you wanted to get some exercise and walk. Everyone loved the pool!!! Only negative’s we’re a few things that I hope have been fixed. Also the living area got hot

The home was absolutely stunning and better than the pictures are able to capture. Our family of seven had plenty of room to spread out when needed and then be together in a large open family room that extended out into the veranda and pool area. Besides the property itself, the location in Poipu was convenient to the entire island and very close to evrything on the South shore. Could not rate this property higher!

This is a stunning, beautiful property in a very quiet neighborhood. Our multigenerational extended family enjoyed the large sitting room with the cross breeze, the awesome bedroom suites, the fantastic private pool and deck, and the entertainment center. This is perfect for multiple families who want to travel together and still have some privacy in their living space.

The home is beautiful! Plenty of room for our party of 7. We enjoyed our time there. We love going out to explore the beautiful island them coming back and enjoyed the pool and spa. The photos of this property sold us as the place to stay while in beautiful Kauai. It's not often that the real thing is even better than any picture can show. Our family had the best time, and the property management team went over and above to make our stay carefree and easy. I cannot say enough good things about this property, it was the perfect place for our Hawaiian vacation! It didn't hurt that the golf course was in our backyard, and my husband and son took full advantage and played five days consecutively, and able to walk there from the house. It was a five star place in paradise. Thank you so much for making our stay so amazing.

Property was 100% as advertised. Very clean. Great property for families with a nice pool for young kiddos. Only complaint was that it was difficult to reach property manager on a Saturday when there was an urgent need. However, they ultimately came through.

Reviewer Comments: We rented the entire home for 8 days and 7 nights for our family and guests (10 - 5 adults, 5 children) and could not be happier with the property! It boasts amazing gathering room sizes and the bedrooms, amenities, views and landscape are more impressive than the photos show. We were so pleased with the home. My wife and I scheduled massages out on the lanai, and it was one of the most relaxing massages we’ve ever had just listening to soft Hawaiian music on the sound system while the waterfalls from the lava pool trickled. The property management was VERY helpful in assisting us with both the massages and a family photo session. (THANK YOU DARSHAN) Our photographer (Christian) was awesome! He took us to Shipwreck Beach just 5 minutes away. Can’t wait to return!

It was logistically complicated to be able to travel safely, so we were especially thankful for this beautiful home to have some time away. We had a wonderful time at this property and it was in the perfect location. Close to the beach, restaurants and other towns were easily accessible. We enjoyed the house and the outdoor living space. We were able to spread out and the house was well stocked and very clean. Everything we needed was there waiting for us which made the trip even better. Kauai I was amazing and we can’t wait to be back.
