We loved this property. There was plenty of space (beds and bathrooms), and the views were super. Checkin and out was easy and the location was convenient to hiking and dining destinations.

Great location and property. Terrific view. No problems to report. Will rent again if the opportunity arises.

Similar to other comments the pictures don't do the location justice. It was a terrific home that fit our family well. It was quiet and Brett was extremely responsive. The gas tank for the grill was empty and he came over on the holiday and made sure there were 2 extras available. I'd highly recommend to anyone who is in the area.

We would definitely come back. Lots of room. Great view. Had everything we needed. Overall it’s one of the best places we’ve stayed in so far.

The first thing you notice when you walk in the door is the full view of the water from the living room. Kitchen had everything we needed. Dining room was large with a view. Bedrooms were a good size. The basement was huge!! Including bar and pool table. It was also nice because there were windows in the basement and it really brightened it up.
Only thing to note is that there are 5-6 steps up to the porch going into the house, so pack light and help Grandma up the steps!

This is the perfect place to stay in Anchorage for a couple or a family. It is in a great neighborhood, right on the water. Spectacular views. House is much larger than it appears in pics. Great kitchen, deck, yard, dining area, living room, family room. You really feel right at home. Super comfortable. Easy place to settle in. Full of helpful, fun books and maps. Close to Kincaid Park and other hiking. 15 mins or less from downtown and everything else. Brett is a fantastic and super nice host and knows the area extremely well. We loved it and will be back.

House was perfect for our family, extended family and friends to connect for our sons wedding- everyone coming from different states. The back yard has breath taking scenery. Nice big kitchen table with extra chairs, lots of extra beds and couches, beautiful deck. Big room with a record player… and a very nice room with a pool table! From Grandparents, aunts and uncles to cousins and family friends…this was the perfect place to gather for good food and conversation! House had everything we needed!

The house was just perfect for our family of 8. I can’t say enough the views. We loved spending time on the deck. The house had everything we needed. The host was great. Good communication. We would stay again.

Our group assembled in Anchorage before a two-week-long backpacking trip to the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes, Katmai. This house easily accommodated 9 of us and provided a luxurious environment for trip preparations. Porch with a view, grill, loan, tons of space - this all was truly enjoyable. Communication with the owner was courteous, friendly, prompt, and efficient. Thank you, Brett!

This house is lovely. Is has a lot of vintage quirkiness and some INCREDIBLE views!! Seriously, the view is breathtaking. The home was comfortable and clean but needs a little updating. Overall I recommend this home.

The home has a wonderful location overlooking Turnagain Arm. The large deck is especially nice. While the interior is a bit dated, the kitchen is generously supplied, and the home is very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay there, and would love to stay there again.

We will stay here again. We brought our two dogs. The back yard is fully fenced in. The house is located within a few minutes of some great running and skiing trails, Kincaid Park, Hilltop and about 20 minutes from the Turnigan Arm trails. The house is very large, plenty of room for a larger group. We only had the four of us, which was also fun. The pool table room was great entertainment. The kitchen was large and sufficient for cooking during a pandemic and city closure of restaurants. We grilled on the propane grill, but there was also a wood/charcoal grill easy to use with plenty of leftover material to use for grilling. They left a stock of spices and condiments to use. The views are fantastic!! In the winter you have both the sunrise and sunset over the water. We would like to stay here in the summer, our winter stay was awesome!
Communication with the owner was great as well. It is a dated, 70's house, which included the original record player and records with it in the downstairs bar area (also a fun area of the house, right next to the pool table room). The neighborhood was great for walking our dogs every day. And the house had doggie poo bags available, very thoughtful. Quiet neighborhood, perfect for daily walks. We stayed five nights, brought food in and did take out from local restaurants. There is a great coffee stand nearby that we visited each morning, after drinking the k-cups that were available at the house.

We had an amazing week! Moose in the front yard. Eagles in the back, and we even saw a black bear run across the yard and over the fence! Beautiful sunsets, moon setting over the inlet, and fall colors everywhere. We were here for a family wedding and having the house to spread out in, and to come back to, versus a hotel room, was absolutely perfect. We hope to be back again soon! The house we originally booked and paid for on VRBO was supposedly "Sold" out from under us, so we found this spot available. It is easy to find and just off a major artery. It is far enough away from Dimond Blvd that there was no noise. This is a quiet location. The view out the back is impressive. The lower level has a large entertainment room with a long semi-circular bar. There is a turn table with amp and speakers there and a small collection of LP's including a 2 record collection of Steely Dan. It worked. It might even play a Cassette if you have one.I did not. There are two couches in that room and then an additional isolated bedroom down on the lower level. The laundry and a third bathroom is there. That bathroom has a nice shower but the door on the shower will hardly close. There were plenty of towels. There were 2-3 little harmless small flying bugs there but the spider likely took care of them by now. The entire down downstairs smelled very heavily of air freshener, Febreze and it was either that, or someone broke a bottle of old spice on the carpet down there, but I don't think I could have stayed in the bedroom there because of that. I expect the owner is not aware of the bugs and smell and shower door issues so I mention them here. Also I stayed in the 3rd main floor bedroom with a bunk bed, (Full on bottom, single on top) and my room also had issues. There was a used bath towel hanging on the back of the entrance door. The waste basket there did not have a liner and the sheets and pillowcases did not smell fresh. Brett warned us about the front door being hard to open and lock. It takes two hands and you have to jiggle and wi.gle the two doors. while turning the lock to lock it. Three hands works the best, but it is possible for one person to make it work. (Unlocking is much easier.) We had very nice weather so we did not try to use the garage. The kitchen, upstairs and patio living area were nice with a good TV. I used the HTMI inputs with my computer (Bring your own cable) to show some pictures taken on our time in Alaska. The screen door to the patio was laying on the patio deck when we got there. It could not be put back on the tracks due to damage so even when you wanted some fresh air you could not leave that door open or the bugs would come in. There were some challenging worn Anderson windows that were possible to open and all but one would close. We were able to get cross ventilation using those window in the kitchen.

The house worked well for our party of ten! When we arrived, we had a beautiful, sunshine filled day which was perfect for the back deck!
