We really enjoyed our time here. Beautiful huge deck, great main lever space, very open and wonderful for entertaining. Bedrooms very comfortable and house was nice and clean. Only downside was the downstairs was a little musty, and 3 bedrooms are down there, so some with breathing issues couldn't sleep down there. Over all we did really enjoy our visit, just wished we would have brought an air purifier. Host was very accessible and kind.

We had water issues for 2 days and they affected water and toilet function. Needless to say it was not easy with 5 adults and 3 children needing to use the facilities but they were fixed before we left. I feel like we are owed a compensation from the host but as of this email I have not received anything!

Property is in very lovely setting. Dock is great for swimmers and boaters. The wrap around deck is great!
House could use some attention especially the down stairs rooms. There are several non working televisions in various rooms downstairs, one in particular on the floor which is a worry for children. The carpet downstairs is rippled in several locations. The lower third of the bannister going to the basement is not attached to the wall. Also, the de humidifier is not adequate enough to remove the musty smell in the basement bedrooms.
Outside the fire pit was filled with old ash. It took my sons many buckets to remove the ash and trash that was in and around the fire pit.
There was a great deal of trash in the bins when we arrived with no cover on top. I am very familiar with camping in the Adirondacks and know that this could indeed present a problem.
I did wonder if the host had not been to the house in some time due to the above issues.

The setting was superb. The house was big enough for the 13 of us and we loved having 2 large tables for meals (one for adults and one for kids worked great). Huge porch with chairs and tables. Cool nights. The lake and woods were fabulous. Lots of wildlife. Great swimming and we brought a canoe. Fishing was good, too. Awesome outdoor fireplace, perfect for s'mores. Also, pretty close to stores and Lake George for something different. Deer, turkey, loons, etc. Owner was kind and responsive.

My friends and I have been renting a house each summer for the past 8 years. This house was perfect for us. Great swimming and room to spread out. Thank you!

No issues to be had here accept cell reception, lol. The only thing that I can say is "negative" is the rocky beach. But that's what you get in the Adirondacks. So it's a nonfactor. Ken was great and very accommodating! Would/will definitely stay again in the future.

We were 5 adult couples staying at this house for 5 nights. We really appreciated Ken's flexibility in letting us arrive a bit early and leave a bit late. He was very responsive to all the questions we had.
Great place for a big group. Nice deck and outside eating area.
Spacious kitchen. Patio and fire pit were a plus.
Water accessibility wasn't the best; it was quite a walk to the dock and not easy to get kayaks down there.

Family Gathering
Overall our experience was nice. Although the property could have been cleaner; example bathroom by kitchen toilet was disgusting and oven very dirty. It would have helped for owner to let us know a day before arrival since there is no phone signal and drove approx 3 miles. The path and steps to the dock could use some attention.

Overall nice vacation house
The home was in a beautiful location & easily accommodated our group of 9 people. We thoroughly enjoyed the lake, the deck, the fire pit, & the bar, as well as the surrounding area. A few drawbacks: house was surface cleaned, but could use a good deep cleaning; no air conditioning— not a problem except on the first night, but the lack of AC is easy to miss in the listing; game room needs updating & a new ball for the foosball table; access to dock & lake a bit challenging (but worth it!); taxidermy decor scared our youngest member— just be aware it’s there if you have animal lovers or small kids in your group.

Great Lake Sacandaga Family Fun
What a wonderful home for grandparents to enjoy their ever growing and going family. Plenty of room for sleepy heads to chat and catch up at breakfast. Dock accommodates 2 boats and lake was perfect for tubing & swimming. Nights brought a blazing campfire with s’mores and cinnamon buns in the pie irons. Ken, the owner, was one of the best! Hope to visit again.

Excellent location, very big house!
The house is fantastic for a big group like we had. Lots of room for everyone to spread out both inside and out. The walk down to the dock is a bit tricky but the water access is excellent.
The master bedroom was HUGE and the bed was super comfortable. The other beds were not quite as comfortable and the downstairs gets very musty. But the upstairs attic fan works amazingly well at night to cool the house down.
The house could use a good, deep clean. Otherwise, it's really great. We very much enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful Lake House
The home was extremely spacious and fit 10 adults with no problem with beds to spare. The bar in the basement and lake were my favorite feature. I enjoyed bringing my boat to the home as they had a large dock that fit the boat and 3 kayak's with ease! I'll be back next year.
Thanks for such an amazing time.

Beautiful lake home
This home is so spacious and beautiful. We were a group of 11 and could have easily fit plenty more. Ken was top notch, He helped with any questions we had. There was plenty of firewood for us and we enjoyed a beautiful fire on a winter night. The bar was my favorite part of the house, Its gorgeous!!! When everything is closed around you due to the pandemic you definitely had some normalcy sitting at the bar playing games and laughing! I highly recommend this house. We definitely will be returning!

Amazing Lake, house not so much
My family and I recently spent a week in this home on our vacation. The space is great, but it needs desperate cleaning. Dirt and dust everywhere. I could run my fingers through the dust. The grass was very long even after the owner came by to mow. He mowed around the middle and that was all. It was very disappointing when we arrived to see that the pictures on the website are NOT accurate depictions of the house. Seriously dated with damage to the ceiling and NOT CLEAN.

The pictures really do not do this home justice. It is a gem nestled in the woods, and is spacious, and simply beautiful. We had a large group with lots of kids and Ken’s home was exactly what we needed. No one felt cramped or uncomfortable and there was more than enough bedding and bathrooms for our group. What we really enjoyed were the different spots around the home where we could really spread out: the bar, the fire pit, and the wrap around deck. It was a short walk to the dock but our group really enjoyed swimming, fishing and boating. Simply put, we had a fantastic time.

Absolutely AMAZING
The house is incredible, the location is amazing. The bar downstairs is so awesome. The dock is perfect. We had a big group and everyone was comfortable and had the time of their lives. I can't hype this place up enough.

Manager was very friendly and helpful. I like the milkweed garden with monarch caterpillars. Lower stairs to water dock was in need of repair, you had to be very careful descending. The master bedroom was beautiful and the big deck was great but could use patio furniture, we had to keep moving chairs from patio to deck and back. The weather was great and we enjoyed our stay.

Hadley review
While the house is very nice, it lacks upkeep something fierce. When we arrived, the cleaning lady was there, said she was just finishing up the last bed. Once she left, we entered the home, and when we walked into our room with bunk beds, there was a twin sheet thrown on the bottom bunk full size bed, with a bed spread thrown over it. The house was SO HOT, which we expected since there was not AC, but all the windows were left closed. We opened all of them to air it out, which it desperately needed, and the dust and cobwebs that were there was unbelievable!! When we walked downstairs, the smell of mold made it so difficult to breathe! I couldn't believe it! It made it so difficult to sleep down there. I couldn't believe the amount of moisture present. We were never informed that there was a dehumidifier down there, and we found it the last night. It did help, but not nearly enough. Something needs to be done to fix that situation desperately.
The Laundry room smelled SO badly of cat urine!
The lake was beautiful!! We thoroughly enjoyed it very much! But the final steps to get down to the dock were falling over, so they were unusable. We did make the best of it, however, and were able to enjoy it anyway! It was truly gorgeous!
We were asked to put all the garbage at the top of the driveway in the storage boxes. When we went up there, there was garbage already in there, so there was no room for ours.
When we first arrived, the cleaning lady told us she left her information, so to call her or send her a FB message with anything we need. We tried to contact her several times, and there was no response at all. We finally called the owner at one point, and he did get back to us.
If the house gets taken care of much better, and better people are hired for cleaning, with some loving care, it would be a really nice place to stay!!

Had a Great Time with the Family
We stayed a week. Weather was perfect. No problem with bugs. AC was not missed. The house was very spacious and the the deck was great! The bar room downstairs was nice and the Foosball table saw a lot of use. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace every night. The only suggestion I would make is that the stairs leading down to the dock need work and the ladder to get out of the water onto the dock should be longer (more rungs). Not sure we figured out all the light switches before we left :) maybe some labels would be good. Overall a great stay (more like 4.5 stars)

A great place for a family reunion
We stayed here for a week and had 11 people in our group. We had a great time and the house was perfect for large dinners and campfires. With that said, there are many positives and a one negative:
Positives
* Large, well equipped kitchen
* A living room, dining room and deck that can accommodate large groups easily
* Very comfortable, large master bedroom and 2nd upstairs bedroom
* A wonderful fire-pit. We had a fire almost every night where we toasted marshmallows and made samores
* Nice dock where we were able to swim and launch our kayaks
Negative
* The basement which has 3 bedrooms is very musty and dark. Although the owner stated otherwise, it smelled like it had been wet. There are no windows in the bedrooms so there is no ventilation. All the adults who were sleeping in the basement had difficulty sleeping.
Overall, the pros outweighed the cons and we had a great week on the lake.

The house was wonderful-the weather wasn't
Everyone loved the house. It's spacious and comfortable. The young crowd (early 40's to early 50s) loved the pub in the lower level. The weather didn't cooperate very well. We had some rain most days with some of it being pretty hard. The high-water conditions had necessitated removal of the dock to a spot that made it inaccessible so we went home with clean, dry beach towels and swimsuits and the worms for fishing were released back into the wild. However, since my sons and I had not seen either my niece or my brother for many years, we had lots of time to catch up. The owner was very responsive to all emails when we had questions or concerns.

Great Place!
Me and some family and friends just recently (in mid June) stayed for 5 nights. Overall we were very happy with the place! Everything was clean and well represented from the way it was written up and our expectations. We would stay here again. Plenty of room for cars and plenty of things to do with the great firepit and water nearby etc. The hike down to the water is a bit steep, but there is a access road to help if needed. And many places along the lake are the same way. All rooms are a good size. Great place overall!

Perfect Getaway Location!
We rented the house for the weekend and were very happy. The owner was extremely accommodating. We arrived early and the housekeeper was very gracious and let us in.
The house is HUGE and beautifully laid out. Plenty of sleeping areas and two levels of living area. The wrap around deck is perfect for entertaining. The fire pit was used all weekend and we loved hanging out around it! Would highly recommend staying here!

A fun week with our cildren and grandchildren
The best part of the week was the lake. All could swim and we spent most of our time in the water.
The next best thing was the outside fire pit. We had a fire and s'mores every night.
The caretaker was wonderful. She answered all our questions. The outside deck was also great. We had dinner out there every night except our last.
The kitchen, though adequate was very disorganized. It was difficult to find anything. There was no cookie sheet. The house is not air conditioned and most of the time it was not a problem. Our last two days were very hot and humid. The fans helped. But it was hot.
It is not so easy to get to the lake. Down steep steps, a steep path with no steps, more steps and over some rocks to the dock. We got our exercise!
Our last night was bad. We lost electricity in a thunderstorm, which meant no fans and worse no running water. Also no means of communication. The WIFI was out. No phone service, not land line or cell. Our children took the grandchildren, left and went to a motel. My husband and I stayed the night. In the morning still no electric. It seamed most of the area was out. We had another night but cleaned up as best we could without water and left a day early.
A note: not one of the flashlights in the house worked. There were candles and I had a flashlight in my purse.
Given better weather and electricity we would have loved it.

Great Family Oriented Rental!
Our family had a blast the entire time we were there. Between the lake, close proximity to Lake George, and activities at the house (bar, air hockey, foosball, and games), there was no shortage of fun. We got our exercise walking back and forth from the house to the lake, but the steps and path down the hill was not an issue for anyone. Plus a huge bonus was you could drive to the dock to load/unload boating toys and other gear for the lake which honestly made it easier than normal. The parking situation was great at this house too, no shortage at all. We had single family members coming from all different areas which meant a lot of vehicles, and parking was completely a non-issue at this house which is honestly rare in our experience. The only amenity that everyone wished the house had was A/C, as even with the whole house fan, fans that were there, plus the fans we brought, it was hot on the main level from the afternoon through early evening, especially cooking dinner at night. Other than that, there was nothing more that we could have asked for. Ken thank you so much for letting us enjoy your home and thank you to Marlana the house keeper/property manager for offering to go out of her way wherever possible to make our stay so enjoyable!

Great place for a large group!
We had a great time at Pine Ridge! The house was open and spacious and a great spot for our 10-person vacation. We loved the water access/dock for swimming, fishing, and sun bathing; and enjoyed the fire pit, lawn, and bar downstairs. Many bedrooms were nice for couples, as many houses have high numbers for "sleeps" but then crams several beds in one room. The kitchen was nicely stocked with basics. The housekeepers were very friendly when we met at arrival, and very helpful with last minute questions. We also enjoyed a day at Saratoga Springs. Thank you for a great weekend!
