About this house rental

Set on the North shore of Lake Erie, just east of Rondeau Provincial Park, this lakefront home, with private beach, is perfect for a family get-away, or a retreat with friends.

This spacious lake house features an open concept living and dining area; a bright sun room; a lower level rec room with Ping-Pong table and other games; a screened in back porch overlooking the woodlot and wetlands; a backyard with firepit; and a large front deck that overlooks Lake Erie and the private beach across Rose Beach Line. The private beach has a gradual drop off in water depth, perfect for families with children.

With four bedrooms, the lake house accommodates eight people comfortably. Located on the main floor, the primary bedroom has a large walk in closet, private en-suite powder room and a king size bed. Also located on the main level, is a second bedroom, with two twin beds, and the main bathroom, with jet-tub and laundry.

Located on the lower level, the third bedroom has two twin beds, and the fourth bedroom, a queen sized bed. The lower level has a three piece bath, with shower.

In addition to the lake house’s own amenities, the surrounding area hosts a number of attractions. A short drive will bring you to Rondeau Provincial Park, festivals, farmer’s markets, wineries, breweries, and historical sites.

For the past 5 years, we’ve rentes a different cottage for a week in either Lake Huron or Erie, together with our 2 boys, their partners and grandsons. We all agree, we’ve found our favourite in the Lake House - hands down! This wonderful place is all it promises to be and more. Lovely, comfortable and well equipped with so many options indoors and outdoors to be together or find quiet space alone. Our grandsons were in awe of the games, books and toys in the basement. The sandy beach and shallow water were perfect for fun in the sun, sand castles, and long walks searching for beach glass and skipping stones. We could unload kayaks and paddle boards and not worry about them on the private Beach right across the street. I could go on and on. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Just perfect. Thanks from all of us, Joe and Jen. We loved our stay at your beautiful summer home. Hope to return again!!

This was our 11th summer staying at the Joe and Jen's Lake House, and each summer there is as great as the previous one. The property is fantastic, and they have thought of everything. We love that there are enough beds for two families with 4 kids combined. Plenty of spaces for everyone to hang out together, but other areas where you can tuck away and enjoy some alone time. The Lake House is an absolute gem.

Exceptionally maintained property... enjoy the private beach, view of the lake from the large front deck or relax in tranquility in the screen enclosed back porch. Watch and listen to the frogs, birds and small wildlife in the back of the property. Certainly a refreshing escape from everyday life! Wonderful host!!

The house was superb, super clean, and a kitchen with absolutely everything you could need with all the amenities you could ask for, and more. We stayed with youngsters, and the rec room downstairs was absolutely perfect for them to make noise in the morning without disturbing anyone upstairs! We had a small fire on the beach one evening with stars above while watching a thunderstorm across the lake over Cleveland. Everything went without a hitch. We loved it and would definitely love to come back in the warmer months!

We loved our stay! It was our first time staying in the Rondeau Park area. It was very relaxing & quiet, great area for biking. Our grandchildren loved playing at the beach, the water was shallow at the shore, perfect for splashing :) The cottage was very clean & well organized. Every cupboard & drawer was clean with lots of storage. There was every comfort of home. It was also roomy which made it possible to have your own space if need be. The only issue was the lack of railings on the deck. It made it a bit nerve-wracking with our youngest grandchild who is 18 months. If there was no wobbly toddlers or people with navigating stairs issues it was the perfect spot ♥️

Beautiful Lake House. Stocked with everything you can think off, beds are good, comfortable sitting areas, lots of games and toys for the kids. Loved the deck and the screened-in porch. Will go back here in a heart-beat. Loved this place

We had a great time & absolutely loved the view overlooking Lake Erie. Catherine loved the downstairs shower, I think she could have fallen asleep in it. 😂 Lots of dishes, chairs, etc. and everything was in great condition.

Thoroughly enjoyed the two weeks at the Richards Lakeside Cottage. The grandkids spent lots of time in the water both at the cottage and Rondeau Park nearby. Kitchen well equipped and the games room offered space, and supplies for games and movie nights. Beds comfortable. My 3rd stay and each one has been a treasure.

What a beautiful place! Joe has really thought of everything. The place is SPOTLESS and so cozy. The access to the beach was perfect for our family (across a quiet road to our private beach!). We absolutely loved our stay!! Rondeau park up the road is beautiful for a bike ride and Rondeau Joe's is a great spot to stop after for some beer or lunch!! Don't hesitate to book!

We had an incredible time, the place is in a beautiful location, very well stocked in every aspect. Games, movies, kitchen supplies, and is so nicely laid out. Never been in a place with so many great locations for that morning cup of coffee! We look forward to booking again.

Had a lovely week unplugging with friends. This cottage is beautifully set up, well stocked, clean and is very spacious! A great location for star-gazing, bike riding, swimming and beach fires. Views were amazing - loved waking to the lake sunrise each morning. The kitchen is well-stocked and organized. The house is spotless. There are games for every age, and our kids had a lot of fun here. It’s a beautiful beach.
