We loved the view from this home. The sound of the waves was so relaxing.
We were disappointed to find the fireplace not working. But, the management did arrive on the 3rd day to try and fix it. Sadly to no avail.
Also, I was unable to manage beach access which is a very steep and narrow path from street level to the beach. So steep a rope has been affixed, running top to bottom, that tou can grab in an effort to pull yourself up and help keep your balance going down.
As full disclosure, a photo of this access should be part of listing.

Great location and perfect view of the ocean. But the property is getting rundown, and there are a lot of repairs that are needed in the house.

My family and I stayed at this property for five days and all I can say is it was amazing. From the location, cleanliness, views, amenities, and VACASA there are no real complaints. There is nothing like sitting on the deck and watching the waves and sunsets. Only thing negative (and it really isn't a negative) was we like to cook when we vacation and we had to purchase a couple of kitchen items to cook what we were doing. A gas grill would be a great addition to the property too. The only other issue is we ran out of garbage bags but we just picked some up at the local store. We will most definitely be staying here again. A very special thank you to the home owner for allowing this property to be shared through VACASA. it truly is SERENITY.

Had a nice stay at the house. The view is great! Plenty of space for a multiple adults. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, dishwasher available.
The house is not brand new, so expect some wear and tear but nothing major.
Note to owner: It may be time to check the fire extinguishers and replace the batteries in remotes and flashlights.

Beautiful view.

The house was tidy when we arrived, but needs a “deep clean”, under beds, rugs etc. The gas fireplace was not working as well as how to operate the tv. We contacted VRBO and they promptly sent Nick out (who was wonderful, courteous and knowledgeable). He fixed the fireplace, and noted that the cleaning crew did not set the tv up from gaming mode to cable mode. I showed him the condition of the stove, which has had complaints from 2022 on your site. It works, but is dirty, rusted and needs replacing. He said he would forward our concerns. The view is amazing, but the living room windows have seal failure, so most of the day are clouded over. For the price, this home needs attention, because as is, we would not stay here again. Hope this helps.

House was perfect for our weekend. Plenty of amenities, dishes, towels, soap, etc. Gas fireplace was awesome and view spectacular! I might rearrange the furniture to take advantage of the view better, but we loved it here! The vintage appliances were like new and such a fun treat! Thanks again VACASA!

Had everything we needed and high tide comes really close to the property line which was a nice perk

The house was great! Only thing is missing a warning sign for slippery porch and steps when raining. Don’t do what I did and fall while carrying stuff into the house

The house was really clean and the view was absolutely amazing. Will look to go back there in the near future.

House was fine

The house is beautifully decorated. The gas fireplace added a great ambiance. The housekeeping had the place immaculate and smelling great upon arrival. The beds were very comfortable and the showers had great water pressure. Loved the convienence of the garage (especially since it was raining). The kitchen was set up nicely with pots, pans, utensils, small appliances and dinnerware.
Disregard the negative reviews. The access to the beach was very nearby and although I am a senior, I was able to navigate down the embankment with the help of the rope.
It’s very easy to overlook small flaws in any rental when have such a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean!!
We would definitely stay here again.

The view is outstanding. Decor feels like stepping into grandma's beach house - feels like coming home!

Lovely weekend on the beach. Comfortable house with incredible views of the ocean.

We had a great time. The house is more dated than the pictures and the beds/furniture could be updated for comfort as they are well worn. It was a great time with the kids and dogs. Beach was a close walk but there is a steep access hill that is mud and rocks so it is a bit slippery.

House needs small updates

Gorgeous spot and home. Clean and well appointed. Very unsatisfactory customer support.

Great property! Easy access to the beach and wonderful view. Very clean. Saw a whale while sitting on the deck.

House was as expected. Homely but needed updating

Aesthetically this home was a huge disappointment. Stained rugs, peeling wallpaper, rusty/outdated everything. The fireplace did not work. Even the thermostat couldn’t be adjusted, as the control box was blinking “low battery”?! Beach access was horrible for little kids, steep and difficult to climb up/down, with only an old rope to hang on to. Beds old and sagging, not comfortable to sleep in. Advertised as pet friendly, but with no real area for dogs to relieve themselves. For the money spent, I wish I’d just booked a decent hotel room. The house was clean and the ocean view was nice, but the owner clearly doesn’t care enough to maintain the property. Would not stay here again.

Great views. Cute place for a family. Black mold on the walls in the upstairs bathroom is the only complaint

Loved the ocean view and double deck setup. We had 6 adults and two children at the house. The queen bed was great - the king and twin beds left something to be desired. The hide-a-bed was a bust so we ended up putting kids on the upstairs couch. The house had plenty of space and the kitchen was user-friendly with plenty of pots/pans/utensils for our group. Had a great time playing games after spending a good deal of time on the beach. We also had two dogs and there is NO space for them to relieve themselves or to run around. So many walks around a very peaceful neighborhood was the trick (with doggie bags in tote always). We found the beach access to be fine - if we didn't like the steeper incline just a couple of houses down, we went around the block to the public access and all was fine. Parking was very challenging for our trucks. The garage will only fit cars or compact SUV's so we had to squish in the driveway. Definitely could stand for all the forage at the front of the drive to be trimmed back significantly to make access easier. The house is a bit dated, but was very clean and allowed us to enjoy our time in the area.

Great views of the ocean and access to the beach

The view was gorgeous, but you could not see it through the windows when you were sunk into the coaches (uncomfortably stuck in the couches) because the condensation in between the window pains blocked the view. It would be great for when the weather was warm, or if they updated the windows.

Nice, comfortable, very clean home, good price and value. Older, but well maintained. The short walk to the beach access path was easy enough, but the path down was pretty steep and not real easy for an elderly or overweight person. We enjoyed the house, but the coffee maker did not work and we had to unplug the TV HDMI input and plug in the DVD HDMI to watch a movie. Rather disappointing. Fix these and we would probably consider this house again.

Great view. The house was clean. House needed a lot of attention. There was a broken chair in the dining room. There was a lot of peeling wallpaper, especially in the bathroom on the lower floor. The mattress on the hide a bed was terrible and practically unusable. The fireplace was not usable, which we were not informed about until the day of arrival. For the price, I would not stay at that house again.

We loved the view of the ocean, was a great place to watch the winter storm.
The house was very clean.
Three of the dining room chairs were broken and in the garage when we arrived. Management responded to our request for more chairs by bringing us folding chairs the next morning. Otherwise well stocked and comfy.

Amazing view of the ocean - this alone is worth a trip here! We enjoyed a mid-week trip here with our family of three plus our 5 month old puppy. The beds are comfortable enough, and it was clean enough (not perfectly clean, but OK). Almost every kitchen tool and pan is pretty run down - it could use new kitchen tools, pots and pans, but otherwise the kitchen was serviceable. I didn't use the oven, but did use the burners on the very old stove and it worked just fine (and it has a cool vintage vibe). We also couldn't open the front door because the lock is rusted shut, so we went though the door on the deck - and even that is starting to be sticky because of the rust. There is a very short walk to the beach if you don't mind scrambling down a rocky hill (there's a rope to hold onto), and we enjoyed watching pelicans and puffins on the ocean. It was also very quiet, and the sound of the ocean was nice to fall asleep to. Overall, it's a nice place to visit. Not sure if it's a place we'll return to, but it was great for our mini-beach vacation.

I loved the view from this house . The other positives are the fireplace , and a nice washer and dryer. Other than that the house is in need of a detail clean, and and many replacements including deck chairs , kitchen pots and pans, bathroom caulking , etc etc. A little update would make a huge difference.

Loved our stay! The view is beautiful. The house could use a bunch of upgrades, very old and pretty dirty in a few places. Mold in showers. But other than that my family and I had a great time. It was perfect for us and would stay again if in that area! Thank you for having us.

Very nice location right on the beach in Gleneden. Beach access just a short walk from the home. Nice big windows to watch the ocean; unfortunately, we got an entire weekend of rain. House is clean but needs some updates.

The oceanfront view was exceptional! The house was nice enough and was very comfortable for our group of four. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will book this home again on our next trip.

The view of the ocean was great. A little difficult packing our supplies upstairs but it worked. The downstairs hideabed is not suitable for adults, little kids wouldn’t mind.
A well used home that could use some updating, especially the kitchen cabinet doors. The downstairs door knob going to the patio needs to be replaced (so rusty) . The fireplace never worked the whole time we were there.
My daughters and I would go back.

Perfect location for time at the beach and access to other locations for sightseeing.

The house was clean related to the bedrooms and the bathrooms. Located right on the coast. The decks are a great place to watch the waves. Sadly, there are only 3 plastic Adirondack chairs that are gungy and cracked. Bring your own chairs if you want to sit outside. The couches are old and cushions lost their spring years ago. The kitchen has a number of utensils. There are two coffee pots and neither worked. The oven is dirty and there are some pans that should be replaced or some serious scrubbing attention given to them. While the place is dog friendly, there is not a stitch of grass around for them to use. The beach access is steep and there is a rope for assistance. There is a parking lot three blocks away driving that has an easier access point. Overall the place was great for ocean views. If you can look past the dated and rundown interior/exterior then it works out great.

The view is fabulous!

Had a wonderful time with my family. The exceptions being no access to a second key making it difficult to all of us being gone at the same time. Both coffee makers broken, dirty pillow case on one bed, and no access to a dustpan.

Lovely location. Nice big house. A bit dated. Upgrades would make this place better.
