House has a terrific location, wonderful view of the ocean. House is comfortable & well appointed. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Close to grocery store. Host is very accommodating, offered helpful recommendations, always extremely responsive when asked questions or for assistance.

Great location

This home was fantastic and exactly what we were looking for. It is very spacious offering plenty of privacy with a bathroom and television sitting area on each floor. Perfect for our group of five adults. The home is well appointed with everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. The views and location are excellent with restaurants, shopping and a small market right up the road. Communication with the owners was effortless and most accommodating. We loved our experience here and would stay again.

The house is amazing. 3 spacious bedrooms, kitchen, dining and living rooms. 2 bathrooms and everything as described. The ocean views were outstanding and the owners were excellent with communications and local recommendations. We definitely plan to stay longer next time.

This place was absolutely amazing. Very clean and the host’s were very friendly and accommodating. The view from the balcony is beautiful and the beds are very comfortable. We have absolutely no complaints and will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Great size for my family with two small children and my father in law who stayed upstairs. Central location for visiting the whole island. Unfortunately the children's pool was closed late September.

We spent two glorious weeks in this fantastic house in beautiful Sao Miguel. The house is a real home from home - properly equipped. We especially enjoyed cooking in the fabulous kitchen and on the BBQ outdoors. Plenty of comfortable furniture inside and out and space for everyone to spread out very comfortably. Glorious views from the upper terrace overlooking the sea. We loved the location right by the sea pools and amidst the real community of Lagoa. Everything you need is easily accessible on foot. Lots of shops, cafe's, bars, restaurants, take away food etc. A very good location for easy travel to the many wonderful sights and experiences around the island. The 'mouth of the whale' is a unique and very interesting feature of the property location - fascinating and not at all disruptive. The owner was very friendly, helpful and responsive before and during our stay offering advice and guidance. We would love to return some day

This was a great stay! The villa was better than the description, only because its tough to describe how cool it is to be over the ocean, not just on the ocean. You will see. The "Mouth of the Whale" is literally under the villa. It's spray and resounding rumble is unique and pleasant feature. The villa itself was equipped very well. Everything we needed was there. Access to the airport and Ponta Delgada was a simple 15 minutes away. The ladies enjoyed the 2 ferrule cats, Bob and Bob Jr., that were always awaiting our return and excited to see us. The piscina across the street was wonderful to spend time in. Even tho the water temp was 14 deg C, we spent a fair amount of time in there. The life guard was always there to keep an eye on you. Ludovic (the owner) was a pleasure to deal with and readily available to answer any questions. The arrival gift, delivered by his father, was a wonderful surprise! A wonderful house for gathering of family. Perfect location for the piscinas in Lagoa, and for travelling anywhere on Sao MIguel. We will be back!!!

Stayed here with 3 grandchildren and daughter. So modern and clean. Pool right across street. Lagoa is most central spot on the island. Host responded quickly to our questions. No doubt it is a 5 star property

Great location and view of the ocean even though it took awhile to find the place. The unit is clean and lots of room. Air conditioner didn't work and we should of had a discount on the rate since that is one of my requirements for renting the unit which made it very uncomfortable to sleep a couple of nights. We could have used more and better quality bath towels. They should have provided bed sheets to use between the comforter and bed not very hygienic even though they said they wash the comforter. Overall great stay.

My husband and I spent a lovely week in this three-bedroom/two-bathroom property in September. It was an easy fifteen-minute drive from the Ponta Delgado airport with (usually) easy access to parking within steps of the property. If parking is not readily accessible next to the property, one can easily park at the lot at the harbor and walk to the property. The property was impeccably clean and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The washer and dryer are an absolute blessing for people (like us) who like to travel light. We didn't even have to provide laundry detergent. The master suite was comfortable. The view from the upstairs terrace was spectacular. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The appliances were all user-friendly. The owner, although not nearby, was responsive to all of our concerns. Unfortunately, during our stay the air-conditioning units were not working properly, but the weather was temperate, so it was not a difficulty. There was construction next door, and the workers, we felt, invaded our privacy, but the construction will finish, and the a/c will be fixed, so these are certainly not a permanent stain on the property. We enjoyed many afternoons on the terrace overlooking the ocean and enjoying the warm sunshine. The outdoor furniture was plentiful and quite comfortable. We liked to return to the property after a day of sight-seeing to open all the windows and the upstairs and back door to allow the ocean breezes to flow through. We tried a couple of restaurants in Lagoa, O Capitao and Borda d'Agua. The octopus salad at Borda d'Agua is good, as is the tuna. O Capitao is fun. Continente is a wonderful supermarket (complete with wine and liquor). We walked there from the property (about 15 minutes). It is also an easy stop on one's way back into town from sight-seeing. Do not miss Furnas. The botanical garden is gorgeous, and the walk around the lake is amazing. Sete Cidades is something not to miss. This was one of our favorite places, and we hope that we can return, not only to Sao Miguel, but to this lovely property in this charming village.

We lived our stay. The kitchen was truly a modern cooks delight and the apartment has been renovated beautifully but also has old world Azores charm in the building style. We lived playing in the rock pools and we were also close to everything we could want to do and see.

The house was immaculate ,view was breathtaking!! Local restaurants were a culinary delight. Ludvic accommodated our early entry request ( we arrived on the island at 7am. ) The house has everything to make the holiday great

Located away from the hustle and bustle of Ponta Delgada, but easy to get to any location on the island. The accommodations were nice, everything worked good, but the only downside was the construction next door that woke us up every morning including the weekend at 8am with loud banging. It was cool to stay in a neighborhood with the locals, and the view on the deck of the ocean was nice but not private during the day with the construction workers right there (but go see the island during the day and it doesnt really matter). Never needed anything from the property manager, who was very nice to deal with prior to arriving. Lots of great places to eat on the island (try the barracuda), and driving was easy once you get used to the one way and narrow streets around this neighborhood.

Now I want to live here. Beautiful home. Beautiful view over the ocean from the front deck. Everything you need is within walking distance. Loved the little mom & pop grocery stores nearby where we could get a bottle of decent wine for less than 2 Euros.

Ludovic was always very quick to respond to questions. Entry into his unit was easy. Views on the terrace with appetizers & wine will be missed. This a good base to explore the whole island. If there are no free parking spaces available because of the fitness centre you can park on the front sidewalk. A small house is being built next door. We were gone for the day shortly after start time & they were finished by our return. A very clean spacious unit for our party of 2 couples. Several good restaurants within walking, especially the small family run one down the street by the harbour. I would return without hesitation.

The title says it all! In addition, the owners are very warm and welcoming, quick to respond and made sure that we had everything that we'd needed, especially for a baby. There was no better way to end an adventurous day around Sao Miguel with a beautiful sunset and a hot cup of local tea (from the Gorreana tea farm) out on the deck. When you visit, be sure to stop by O Capitao for his lively company and arroz de peixe!

Ludovic was very helpful pre-trip and during our stay. A very comfortable house with amazing views. The ocean was always changing along with the weather. A perfect location tor exploring the Azores for 10 days. Easy access to many day trips with many mini hikes available through Trails. Easy grocery shipping, restaurants within walking distance or a short drive.

Das Haus ist frisch renoviert, und alles ist noch ziemlich neu. Für die Selbstversorung ist alles benötigte vor Ort. Ludovic war ein perfekter Gastgeber der vor und während unseres Aufenthalts immer geholfen hat wo er nur konnte. Das ganze Haus kann falls nötig über Kilmaanlage temperriert werden. Die Lage des Hauses ist eingentlich perfekt, direkt am örtlichen Schwimmbad....was leider auch ein Nachteil sein kann. Denn das Schwimmbad ist ab 15Uhr bis 20Uhr sehr gut besucht, und es ist daher nahezu unmöglich einen Parkplatz zu finden. Da muss man schon mal 2-3 Runden durch das Einbahnstarßengewirr Lagoas drehen oder eben 10 Gehminuten entfernt parken. Direkt neben dem Haus ist auch eine sehr nette Snackbar wo man abends schön was trinken kann. Was aber eben auch wieder ein Nachteil sein kann, denn die Bar ist bis abends gut besucht, und mit offenem Fenster schalfen ist da leider nicht immer möglich wenn man einen leichten Schlaf hat. Auch die zwei Hunde in der Nachbarschaft bellen Nachts des öfteren. Abgesehen davon hat es uns sehr gut in Lagoa in Ludovics Haus gefallen, denn die Aussicht von der Terasse aus das Meer ist einfach wunderbar. Deswegen 4 von 5 Sternen.

Maison impeccable.

Beautiful place. Inside looked brand new. Large rooms and bedrooms. A/C worked great. The kitchen had every appliance and gadget that one would need. Loved watching the sunset on the second floor deck (I miss that the most). Right across the street from swimming pools and a swimming area/lagoon. Convenient location on the island. Restaurants and grocery shopping a short drive away. My family had a great time here.

This lovely house really is as good as it looks. It is located just across the street from the entrance to the natural pools in Lagoa, with plenty of restaurants and a grocery market within walking distance. The view from the deck is spectacular. The kitchen had everything we needed to dine in some evenings. In short, we cannot wait to visit again!!

We we fortunate to be the first guests at this lovingly renovated townhouse right on the water in quiet Lagoa, just 10 minutes from Ponta Delgada. It had everything we needed, + + + Spread over two floor, it has two living areas, a spacious patio area and even bigger ocean view deck. Modern kitchen, bathrooms and all the comforts of a luxury hotel but three times the charm. We loved the central location on the Island, as it was easy access to all the sights this beautiful Island has to offer (car necessary). Easy walking to several authentic local restaurants with the freshest fish we've had. We only wish we could have stayed more than the four days!
