About this cabin rental
Baird's Creek Cabin - Willow Valley Boone NC Cabins
If you are looking for a cozy cabin with easy access and the perfect outdoor space, you will find it here at Baird's Creek Cabin. Just minutes from Appalachian State University and downtown Boone, this home features a wonderful outdoor area and is just steps from Willow Creek golf course. The comfortable furnishings and versatile floor plan make this home a great choice for groups of two to six.
Step into the cabin, and you are greeted by vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors and a lovely mountain stone fireplace. The sunny, open floor plan is very conducive to family interaction, and you will find whimsical touches throughout. The master bedroom is on this level and features a king size bed with pillow-top mattress, perfect for waking up to the sound of the creek trickling past the back yard. The second bedroom is also on this floor, with queen size bed and adjoining bath.
Upstairs, you will find the loft area, complete with Foosball table for kids of all ages to enjoy. There is also a set of twin bunk beds and a full bath. This space is a great rainy day spot, with satellite television and video game system.
Most guests, however, choose to spend their time outside, relaxing on the rocking chair porch out front, or in the back yard. The deck behind the cabin leads down to the level lawn, perfect for kids to run, or perhaps some croquet. Evenings are a great time to roast marshmallows while huddled around the fire pit. There is even a picnic table, perfect for meals prepared on the gas grill. A brand new hot tub has been installed for guests to soak in. Best of all, there is the creek that borders the back of the property, with woods on the other side accessed by a new footbridge.
This cabin is conveniently located less than five minutes from downtown Boone, the ASU campus, and Valle Crucis. Even better, you can walk right across the street to the Willow Creek golf course, a popular public course to walk or ride for a quick nine or eighteen holes. And in winter, the access doesn't get much easier than this location.
Additional Notes:
- Please be aware that Hurricane Helene washed away the ornamental walking bridge and much of the lawn. The home is looking great and will be ready for guests in late November. The yard will take additional time to have the grass return and to regain its typical scenic atmosphere. The exterior propane tank was also damaged and will be repaired as quickly as possible. The gas fireplace will not be functional until this line is removed from the web listing. The exterior propane tank was also damaged and will be repaired as quickly as possible. We enjoyed the cabin immensely! I’m fact we had planned to go out and about more, but it was so cozy and comfortable for us all… we just vegged. Watched movies, read, ate, went to hit tub and sat in front of the fire place a lot. Great little gotta away place.

Cute cabin with lovely grounds and creek.
Home needs a deep clean and some updating, namely kitchen dinnerware and accessories and very uncomfortable couch/sleeper in living room. Carpets need cleaning!

The cabin is perfect for a weekend or longer stay. It is nicely located between downtown Boone and all the Ski Resorts. The hot tub was awesome. But our favorite part was the fireplace. Clean and everything worked perfectly.

The cabin had everything we needed & the location was great. Easy road access. Flat yard for kids to play, they loved the creek & fire pit. Town is just a short drive to the grocery or anything needed. Our main reason for visiting the area was to go to the Tweetsie’s Christmas and this was a short distance, about 15 minutes. We loved this area of NC. We will be back!

We
We completely enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Our little mini golden doodle, Louise, absolutely had the time of his life. He loved the cool weather and the fall leaves and smells all around outside. Thank you so much for a great getaway

Awesome place to stay. Would recommend it highly

Cabin convenient to Boone
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, which backed up to a relaxing creek. There was lots of room to spread out and enjoy including outdoor areas. The kitchen was generally well-furnished although a few lacked cooking basics (e.g., spcies, cooking spray). There was a coffee maker but not a kuerig machine. There was some road noise from the main highway and the access road had more traffic than expected. Unfortunately, the hot tub was over-chlorinated and we were unable to enjoy. Otherwise, the kids loved the foosball table and bunk beds and this location was super conveneint to ASU/Boone. We loved that we could bring our small dog with us and he enjoyed the cabin and yard as well. The beds were comfortable, the linens were provided, and the bathrooms were updated and everything was very clean. There was no AC but the fans were adequate for spring weather. We would definitely stay here again.

4 night stay
This property is along a river and is very picturesque! The house is neat and has a lot of resources you’d need such as kitchen supplies and space for your things. We enjoyed our stay here and even got some snow!
