This would be a great cabin/trailer if it had a little maintenance, it had a horrible smell as you walk in the door but the place was very clean. Toilets sit very very low to the ground. Dont forget to bring everything with you when you go especially towels. Marina was nice but it was always closed but the one down the lake was always open and ready to sell you gas and ice.

All went smoothly and accommodations were excellent. Two great fishing coves to the left and right of the property. Caught most of our fish in those two spots. Host was great and very accommodating. Will likely stay there again next year.

Very nice property owner.

The toilets were too small, the wall plugs in living room did not work, the glass doors would not lock, nails sticking up on the deck. The beds were too small in length. The rooms were too small. The window air was too loud. I would not stay there again!

The cabin was exactly as pictured. The beach was incredibly steep and hard to access from the deck. Kayaks that were available for use were very small, almost seemed child sized. The WiFi was spotty at best, we had one meme we of our group that had to leave and come home early on because of the lack of internet access. Overall we had a good stay but had we been aware of the things mentioned we would have likely chosen to stay elsewhere. If you are planning to stay and go boating would be a great place. We are t boaters we just like to swim and relax on the beach

This cabin was amazing. It was so convenient to the lake, playground and beach area! The deck was huge and we all enjoyed looking at the lake while playing games outside! We enjoyed the fire pit for s’mores! Nice and relaxing! 10/10 will be returning!

We enjoyed our stay at King's Creek. Jim made check in a breeze. He saw us coming into the place and came down to explain everything and answer any questions. We loved being right on the lake and having access to the marina. We rented a boat and had a fantastic time on the lake. The cottage had ample space and all needed supplies.. We went on a Sunday through Tuesday stay and practically had the lake to ourselves. Everyone was so kind, we enjoyed ourselves and had a great experience.

A quiet nice place to relax , service was good , fishing was good , the only thing not so hot was the camper section so close and on weekends it gets a little tight , but for the most part its a great vacation spot might even go back next year !

We were looking for a nice getaway after the long winter. Very nice property & right on the water. Cabin was very clean & James was an outstanding host. Very responsive when we had any questions. The immediate area is very beautiful, lots of lakes & hiking.

The place was nice and clean. The one couch in the living room could have been more comfortable. The deck was nice with a nice view of the marina and water. There were no small plates or teaspoons in the kitchen, but we made do with what was there. My wife was surprised that there was not fitted sheets on the bed. The flat sheet tended to pull back and would expose the plastic mattress cover. The host was very friendly and responded to our needs professionally. All the people we had contact with in the campground area were friendly, and we felt quite welcome. I was a little surprised that the television did not get more channels than we did, but we weren't there to watch television anyway. The internet was more than sufficient to allow us to do whatever we may need to with it. Overall it was a good stay and I would be willing to come again.

We were looking for a quiet Getaway and this fit the bill. Jim and his son were very helpful and very quick to respond to questions or needs. They even helped with little things to occupy a two-year-old! One day we drove over to Land Between the Lakes park for some easy hiking, but otherwise we spent the week at the cabin. Would love to return when the lake is higher so we could enjoy everything the area has to offer.

Stayed in Lunker Buster...TV was not hooked up & could not get it working, no one would answer my 4 messages till the next day. Not the cleanest....very few pots & pans no dishwasher. Washer & dryer in campers bathroom, 1.50 a load so bring lots of quarters. Fish cleaning station not working, had to clean fish on deck, motion lights on marina pier and they kept going off so kids couldn't fish at night, and that cost 60 extra bucks for boat slip. Tub in bathroom had a crack in it, so was afraid to use it, for our safety! Left wrong keys . And now as I sit here at 3AM I am putting towels and cans down in the kitchen & living room to catch the water POURING from the ceiling during a rain storm . Saved their big screen TV just in time from water damage!!! All in all worst vacation ever and can't wait to leave....one more night to go.....won't be coming back, and very disappointed!

Was so excited to return to Kentucky Lake for our annual anniversary vacation in August, although deciding to visit a new resort we had never been to before was a little scary. Dug out our 2010 Kentucky Lake Vacation Planner and started looking. King Creek Resort and Marina caught our eye and we checked out the website, was impressed and made the call. Jim was so helpful and answered all of our questions. Jim reserved Cottage #8 and said we would really like it. HE WAS RIGHT ON!! Upon arrival with boat in tow and our family pet, pulled up in front of the store where Earl was standing and "said you must be our guest for #8 pull right on in". Immediately felt comfortable and at ease. After getting the boat in the dock, unloading the truck and getting settled in, our vacation began.
Just absolutely loved our cottage. First of all so clean and had all the provisions needed, love the décor, love the deck and screened in patio, love how close to the lake and view from our location, love the picnic decks at the sandy beach, love how accommodating the staff were in all our needs. Thank you so much Earl, Laura and others. OH, and least we forget, THAT BED, Oh my, so comfy, we both had the best rest and relaxation on vacation ever!! We even took a couple of days and did some sightseeing nearby and visited family in Murray. Already know that we want to go back. Would recommend King Creek Resort & Marina to any couple or family looking for a fun easy relaxing time. Thank you Jim, be calling you soon for our next visit. Pete & Carolyn

After searching, emailing and calling every resort in the Kentucky Lake area for a month straight, we chose Kings Creek Resort & Marina for our family vacation this year. I received an immediate response from Jimmie and he answered ALL of my questions and was very personable to talk to. We were looking for a resort on the lake so we could bring our boat, wanted a place that the kids could swim and somewhere that our dogs would be welcome. The other resorts put major restrictions on our pets. Having booked our stay online, I was very skeptical on what we would find upon our arrival. Much to my surprise we were estatic!! Our cottage came fully furnished and extremely clean!! The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The grounds are very clean and relaxing. King Creek is tucked back in a cove right off of the main lake, so the waters are calm and beautiful!! Excellent for swimming or bank fishing!! Absolutely what we were looking for. We plan on making this an annual trip!! If rest, relaxation in a friendly atmosphere is what you are looking for then King Creek Resort and Marina is where it is!!

We usually take our 5th wheel camper for short weekends within a 2-4 hr trip from home in Illinois. We have a Harley Davidson we take with us for riding. We stayed at King Creek Resort Labor Day weekend 2011. It was a really nice area, easy to find, and a short distance from Kentucky Dam. We will definitely stay @ King Creek Resort again.

We planned a family get-together with two groups, multiple ages (10-68 years) meeting midway between residences. That put us in the Kentucky Lake region. We looked for a nice cottage unit and certainly found it at the King Creek Resort. The cottage was as pictured and advertised, comfortable, clean, well furnished. We were able to bring our two well-behaved dogs with us (a must for us). The owner was very accommodating on several accounts and very friendly. He had purchased the property about a year ago, I believe, and was busy planning and making sensible upgrades to make it even more appealing and comfortable than it already is. We rented a 22 foot pontoon boat for the day. It was clean, ran well, and in good shape. We fully enjoyed our time exploring the spacious lake, including finding fairly private coves for swimming and relaxing. We also explored the hiking trails in the Land Between The Lakes area, which was a delightful experience.. The cottage came equipped as advertised with a complete and clean kitchen where we made all of our meals comfortably. The beds were comfortable and linens were furnished. The atmosphere was a quiet mixture of cottages and trailers. Other people were friendly and non-intrusive--no loud parties. If we return to the area again, which at some point is likely, we certainly will see if Kings Creek has space for us.

Stayed in a cottage no 2 from 8-7 to 8-14- 2011. Place was very clean. Everything worked fine. The owners were nice polite and very ready to help make your stay as plesant as possable. Would stay again if going back to that area. Rented a pontoon boat that ran great. My whole family had alot of fun.Would recommend to family and friends.

Stayed at transient RV site for the weekend. Resort has 2 transient RV sites and four tent sites if memory serves me correctly. Beach and marina were located directly next to my RV site, which was good because the kids could swim and I could see my boat in its covered slip from my camper.
Resort located on a quiet cove. Staff/owner were friendly and helpful. Had a dog with us and staff/owner were pet friendly. Restrooms/showers were clean. Paddle boats are free. Marina convenience store stocked with some essentials and some bait. Ice and firewood available as well. Would stay at King Creek again.
Beach area had a bottle and few pieces of trash laying around. Kids found a few pieces of metal (appeared to be old marina hardware) and 2 fish hooks in beach area. Would wear water shoes for sure. Swim platform needs more (and better) steps for kids to be able to use it easily/safely. Restroom doors are not labeled (need "Mens" and "Womens" on the door).
Overall a good experience. Owners bought resort about a year ago. Appears they are trying to make it their best. Not a fancy place, but very convenient and we had a great time.

I found the location very simple to find, I traveled from a so.suburb of Chicago and the trip time was approx 6 hours. The Large Cabin we rented was exceptionally clean, very roomy plus had all the ammenities included (ie: pots & pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils) The cabin also had a very spacious deck furnished with a picnic table and a very nice patio set w/umbrella,also included was a charcoal grill for cooking! The view to the lake was beautiful as you are facing it when you walk outside on your deck (it made my morning coffee delightful, as the coffee pot and filters were also included!) The cabin we rented had 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 full baths, dining room, living room and a full kitchen with a dine at bar. The appliances were clean as were the dishes. The bedding was clean and comfortable. In addition to the relaxation factor, there are plenty of activities to do. There are boat rentals (Pontoons,Fishing and Paddle boats),an area for sunning,a small playground for children and a main campfire at night! The staff was friendly and accomidating! well worth the trip as my family and I will return next year, only next time we will stay longer! This is a great place to stay to enjoy Kentucky Lake, as this resort is right on the lake!
