Total Privacy awaits you in the Bali House, which is a half acre private garden and guest house surrounded by walls on three sides and woods on fourth side.

Furnished with a queen-size, four poster bed, drapes to separate the living area and bedroom, Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, oriental rugs, granite kitchen counter tops, and a wonderful collection of Southeast Asian art.

The living area has sliding glass doors opening to a large Balinese-style verandah overlooking a koi pond with waterfalls, a stream, and many pieces of statuary and other artifacts. This unique tropical Balinese-style guest house and garden is a perfect place for couples or individuals looking for comfort, privacy, and serenity.

It’s an amazing concept, we enjoyed the private paradise feel, the place just needs to be up dated and patio cleared of spider webs and cleaned up at least for check in, in all we had a beautiful stay.

The Bali house is absolutely amazing total privacy. We loved this place so much we are coming back in June. We were there thru tropical storm Debby. Got a couple hours each day on the beach between bans of rain. The Bali house will be our go to place. Very clean can’t wait to go back

We loved staying at this property so much! It felt private even though it was a guesthouse and the garden area was stunning. The property manager was quick to respond to texts and the guest book was full of useful recommendations. It was a quick drive to the beach and not too far from downtown either. We highly recommend this stay!

Absolutely enchanting! We had a ton of fun exploring the garden, playing the instruments, and feeding the koi. The property is private and conveniently located. The only complaint I have is that the house was quite humid, and it was a bit uncomfortable (sweaty) at night for that reason. To be fair, it was about 95⁰ outside so the AC unit possibly could not keep up with the extreme heat. Other than that, it was a magical experience and I wouldn't hesitate to return in less sweltering weather.

One of the coolest and most unique places we've stayed. We booked it based on the other reviews and it did not disappoint. The property is part of (I assume) the host property, but completely walled off and secluded. The koi pond is very relaxing and the fish will certainly become your friends very quickly (feeding time). The house itself is very roomy and comfortable, including a large sitting area, small kitchenette, and a bedroom that can be sectioned off by a floor to ceiling curtain. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was fantastic with multiple shower heads and a steam option. The property itself is in a subdivision but we found it to be very quiet. The communication with the hosts was seamless and easy. Great stay, highly recommended!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Bali House and we are already planning a return trip. A tropical getaway situated in a very nice neighborhood, the Bali House is very private as it is surrounded by tall brick walls and a section of woods. The surrounding neighborhood is perfect for walking or running, and we ended up spending more time at the house than we normally would because it was so comfortable and inviting. Sitting outside in the morning with a coffee, listening to the waterfall and watching the koi swim was truly special. House was well stocked, including keurig and regular coffee machines, bathroom and shower supplies, even a pair of bicycles. Highly recommended!!

Wonderful property and will absolutely recommend this site to others. Only complaint was that the fountain and waterfall were not operational during our stay. Property owner very kindly explained that parts for repairs were on order.

This property is one of the nicest I’ve been to with it’s beautiful Bali inspired gardens, Koi pond, artwork, interior and porch. All was extremely Zen and completely relaxing. Steam shower was a nice surprise. Highly recommend this for anyone.

The Bali House transports one to the magical island of Bali. The cottage is beautifully decorated with a tropical, Southeast Asian style. The garden is a masterpiece blending tropical plants with wonderful rock arrangements and ornamental statuary, centered by a lovely koi pool. Waking up in bed in the morning one looks out on the garden and pool, immediately putting one in a great mood for the day. The perfect place for an escapist holiday.

Interestingly the online pics don't truly represent this property. This is not only an ideal destination, it's the total vibe. Zen-like is an understatement. It is clear that there was a lot of thought, time and money put into making this property completely unique-so much so that your forget you're in Wilmington. It's just a wonderful, relaxed Asian feel. If you're looking for a romantic getaway or maybe you just need some time to reflect and mediate, this is your spot. I've truly never been to a VRBO like this one. The property is situated in an excellent part of Wilmington. Close to the beach, not far from downtown. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. This is a lot coming from me as I'm not easily impressed.

We enjoyed this property immensely. The owners have thought of so much to enhance your stay, however, it's truly the patio and seclusion that won us over. It is quiet here, I mean almost deathly quiet and serene. We slept some morning much longer than expected because you can. The furnishings are fun and comfortable and feeding the fish was a favorite pastime for my wife. The house is a bit difficult to find if you arrive at night so be careful. It is down a narrow lane. We only had a single problem. The shower is amazing, with multiple jets and great water pressure, but it did not drain properly and therefore could only be used for a few minutes. We contacted the property manager on our first day but never got a reply. We were somewhat disappointed but not so much that we won't be back. Highly recommended property due to the overall nature of the place and its location to everything in Wilmington.

The property was well kept and very much the description as presented. It was like being in another place. Maybe some new patio furniture, lighting in the pond and cleaning the spider webs off the outside porch would make this a strong 5 star. The attention to detail was awesome. Overall it was very good and is in a nice residential area close to shopping, restaurants and groceries. Also only 3 miles from Wrightsville beach. I would certainly recommend the property.

The shortest route we can find to the South Pacific. The only 'con' is that the kitchenette is very small, no oven, two burners, tiny but deep sink and scarce counter space. Nonetheless, the 'pros' vastly outweigh any deficiency. The photos do not portray the beauty of the place nor do the descriptions describe how calming the running water streams feeding the Koi pond surrounded by a verdant lushness, the bullfrogs, and the serenity of various statues will give to you. We plan to return in the future and recommend this listing whole heartedly.

We've been visiting family in NC for years and always stayed in hotels..what a delightful change! Our stay at Bali House was wonderful. The house itself is roomy and well appointed, and the outdoor covered porch overlooking the gardens and the koi pond is fabulous for morning coffee and late night relaxing. When we booked this property last March, we were intrigued by the tranquil layout and inviting ambience. This was before I had ruptured my left anterior tibialis tendon which limited my mobility. To be there for 6 six days, this past week was the perfect soul salve we needed following a hectic previous few weeks.

Fantastic Wilmington gem! Grounds are beautiful and inspiring. All the necessary confronts of home including a shower much fancier than my own. 😄. Couldn’t figure out the DVD player to watch a movie but other cable or streaming options worked just fine. Appreciated the Alexa for music and info.
