We stayed here for my husbands birthday with our dogs and the house is in a great location. Walking distance to the boat tours as well as shopping and food areas in A Bay. Kurt is super responsive and wants to ensure you have everything you need to enjoy the weekend. There are tons of games, dartboards, and outdoor games in the house! The yard is also fenced in which makes it perfect for those who have furbabies! The one thing to note is that the house is older so if you are taller than 6 foot you will have to duck through many of the doorways and up the stairs. We will definitely be staying here again!

Our property was large enough to entertain our family. Owner is wonderful very accommodating, and professional. Nicely stocked kitchen I had all the tools needed to cook for a crowd. Great front porch. Our family is planning to return.
There is a also a store right next door, was great if I needed anything.

We had a great long weekend with our extended family wedding. This location was perfect. Just two blocks to the church and then across the parking lot to catch the boat that brought us to the TIC for the reception. The yard for this home was great to sit and relax or play a few games of corn hole. The front porch was perfect also especially if you enjoy people watching. The inside had all the essentials and more. Very easy walk to the main strip for some shopping and dinner.

We wanted to come to the River to relax and enjoy - this stay was perfect, well appointed, exceptionally clean. Wish we could have stayed longer to use the fire pit and games! Perfect for the dog as a totally contained yard and picket fence front porch. Perfect for breakfast tea and watching the view. Also next door to a very active and well appointed town market. We will book again next summer. Thanks!

My wife and I rented Kurt’s place for 10 days in mid-July. We found the house to be clean and amply equipped. Kurt is a very conscientious host, checking on our needs periodically but without being intrusive. He has done a great job in decorating the house to provide that “vacation” feel. Just a lot of interesting touches. The back yard is great for gatherings with an abundance of bench seating, horseshoes, corn hole, etc. although we did not have occasion to utilize those resources. The back yard is fenced and worked great for our pets as they could spend time outside with us when at the property. The house is short walk away from downtown Alex Bay, public docks, etc. There is also a great little neighborhood market all but next door, which was very handy for picking up things on the spur of the moment. Their steaks were very good as were their breakfast sandwiches. The store had a steady stream of patrons at all hours of the day. We met a neighbor from across the street whom was a very nice fellow.
Overall, we had a very nice stay at Kurt’s property and hope to return in the future.

Wonderful
Place was in walking distance to town...nice backyard for pup to play. Owner very friendly...the small touches like a welcoming list card, the little jars for souvenir were a nice touch that impressed my mother-in-law.
Husband enjoyed the fact that he could sit at desk in evenings w his laptop going thru photos he took during the day.
Plenty of games to keep busy in evening. Truly felt welcome in the home.

Clean and Close To Everything
Great clean property with an amazing backyard and plenty of games, darts, etc. Kurt is very accommodating and reachable. The only odd thing about this house is how low the ceilings are in spots. I am 6’1 and had to duck going down the stairs and nearly had to duck going from the dining to living room. Stairs are also pretty steep, but Kurt did a great job of marking out the low spots and putting grips on the stairs. Definitely a 5 star experience. Don’t hesitate to rent this place.

Memorial Day weekend
The house was great! Everything was clearly layed out in the house and the location was accessible to everything. We parked our car when we got there and didn’t need to use it until it was time to go. We could walk everywhere.
The fenced backyard was great for our dog and us.
We will definitely return again.

Excellent Relaxing Vacation !
Our stay this wonderful house was very relaxing and worth the trip. The house was very clean and functional. Front and back landscaping were immaculate. Very nice and well kept yard. Todd was very gracious to assist us in getting to know the property as well as the town. As dog owners, the enclosed yard worked out perfectly for us. The beds were comfortable as well as the living room furniture. Our evenings on the front porch sipping a glass of wine were priceless. The appliances and the outdoor BBQ worked well. Everything is walking distance to convenience stores, gift shops and restaurants. A five minute walk to downtown Alexandra Bay made it worthwhile. Thanks Todd! Definitely we will be coming back!

Fun and Memorable Labor Day Weekend!!
The house feels very homey and comfortable making it a home away from home! It is well maintained, clean and complete with furnishing to accomodate 6-8 adults. The house also has a spacious backyard and BBQ area. The location is very convenient from the small town area and the harbor making it stress-free to explore the islands. Owner is very accomodating, knows the area well and great with giving suggestions on activities that can be enjoyed while visiting Alex Bay. We definitely enjoyed watching a show in Bonnie Castle ( which is a 5 min walk from the house), riding the ferry to see Boldt Castle and Singer Castle and taking a hot air balloon ride over Alex Bay ! Biking around the area is also an enjoyable activity. We will definitely consider going back=)

Pirates
This is an excellent property at a very convenient location in relation to downtown Alex Bay. The property was very clean and well maintained and the property owner was extremely accommodating. The location is a 5-10 minute walk to downtown and the fenced yard provides you with good privacy in the back of the house. The foot traffic was high in front of the house during weekends but the street remained very quiet during the week. THe proximity to the Walton Street store was great as well. It made getting ice and boating essentials a breeze each morning. The lack of dock availability means an extra expense however if you have a slip secured or don't have a boat that isn't an issue. All in all, great house, owner is good people, and I would rent here again.

Family of 5 with a dog
This was our first visit to 1000 Islands and we were so pleased when we entered the house. It was clean with nice furnishings and a private fenced in yard. The dart board, fooseball table and horseshoes were fun additions. We enjoyed the short walks into town every night and it was so close to the marina that we rented a boat from as well as to fishing sites, a drive-in and miniature golf. It was also a short drive to Clayton for kayak rentals, fishing and swimming. Kurt could not have been more accomodating and easily accessible for any questions that we had. We would stay here again.
