We had a great stay at 51 Running Bear Road. This is our third stay there and won’t be our last!

Enjoyed evening fires in the fireplace after ski days. Well-stocked, which made breakfasts and dinners easy. Ate lunch on the slopes because getting back and forth would have been a little more tiring than we were up for. The Puma lift is about a 2-3 minute walk, which isn’t bad. It’s simple enough to use. A little uphill climb in the snow to get there. It was a nice week.

Location was great, quick access to slopes. Host was very responsive with questions. Would stay here again.

Property was perfect for our family of 5 stay over Christmas. Clean, well stocked kitchen. Plenty of space to spread out. Beautiful view of the mountain. Easy access to slopes - short walking distance to lift or short drive to base. Thanks for a great place to spend the holiday.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Our only critiques are the property could have been stocked better as there were no tissues and the only first aid kit we found was a nearly empty box of bandaids in the upstairs closet, and there was 4 feet of snow on the deck - snow had been removed from the decks of other units. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Condo was clean and beds were comfy!

Great place for our family of 5 to ski the Poma lift at Big Sky!
4.8
Perfect location for our family adventure. Easy access to the mountain lifts with the Black Bear Poma rope tow. Even possible for everyone to stop in at home for lunch versus eating in the busy lodge.

Caroline made the process of checking in very easy. Condo was exactly as advertised and met all our needs. Our group of six adults had a great time!

This was our first time in Big Sky skiing. Slopes are amazing.
The condo owner was very good with communications. Check in and check out was as easy as " here's the code" and "lock the door" on your way out.
This condo was so spacious for our family of 5. 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The downstairs bedroom had bunkbeds...so perfect! The 2 minute walk to a poma lift, that took us to a short downhill ski to the resort base was incredibly convenient. The poma lift was new to us so it took a little bit of getting used to. It was no big deal. Actually kinda cool to learn a new skill. My 10 year old had no problems. At the end of the day, we took "Silver Knife", which was a blue run, directly back and we could almost glide to the front door.
The condo itself is well stocked. You don't need any spices if you plan on cooking. Just buy the groceries. Owners had everything extra you'd need to make a meal. Bathrooms were well equipped with towels and essentials. Full size washer and dryer with detergent and fabric softener was such a bonus especially for a whole week of skiing.
This was a wonderful stay. Well worth the time and money.

We had a little hiccup getting in but after that everything was terrific.

Great location for Greta skiing
We had a wonderful time and the property offered everything we needed. The TBar lift was closed during the week, but a simple ski down the hill to the Thunder Wolf lift was all we needed.

Big Sky 2012
Everything was clean and comfortable. Access to the Poma lift was great and easy to get anywhere we wanted to go on the mountain! Big sky skiing and riding was a great adventure with so much different terrain. We enjoyed our stay at Big Horn. As a previous review mentioned we were able to use the pool and hot tub at the Huntley Lodge.

I was charged for damages we did not do. No questions asked. Assumed we damaged the lamp and charged without a conversation.

Big Horn 51 was 100% as advertised. The house is clean, spacious, and the owner is very responsive. This house is a 100 yard walk from the rope tow lift and if the snow is good you can easily ski straight to the driveway at the end of the day. The kitchen has most if not everything you need to cook with. We were a group of 4 friends for a ski trip. We felt we had tons of space we easily could have had another person or two and still been comfortable. The only downsides were that the back deck was covered in snow and had pretty much frozen so we couldn’t shovel it off to hang out outside. As well, this house has no access to a private or public hot tub which isn’t a deal breaker but if you ski Big Sky correctly your legs will appreciate a warm tub after a long day on the slopes. Overall we loved our stay and can’t wait to visit Big Sky again.

Great place for ski vacation
This condo was great for a family ski vacation. It is a short easy walk to the Bear Back Poma T-bar where you get the main lifts and base area. It had all the amenities we needed and we were comfortable. We'd stay here again.

Ski weekend
The house was perfect for our ski weekend. The house was clean and stocked with Le Labo shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion as well as ample towels. The location is a short walk to the T Bar, which provides quick access to the Ram Charger and Swift chair lifts. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Perfect ski condo
This definitely was ski-in ski-out. You walk 50 steps to the palma lift, which takes you to the main lodge. The condo is clean, roomy, and nicely appointed. Having a garage was great too! We had a fabulous time.

A REAL GEM!
Wow! Your house is just beautiful! We really, really enjoyed our time there! The house is very comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed. The location was excellent! My family and I had never been to Big Sky and we were not familiar with the mountain at all and your house was the perfect location. Just a few steps from the lift! :) And the views from the house....Awesome!! Really loved it there! Thank you for letting us enjoy your house! When we come back to Big Sky, we hope we are able to stay at your home again! And having the garage was a bonus! It was nice to be able to store our skis and equipment in there! Thank you again!!! We all loved being there!

Very happy!
Loved that it was right next to the poma lift! Got us to the main base and back ASAP! The owner was easy to contact about check in information as well. The unit was set up with everything we needed for our 6 person group with a couple of local drop-ins for dinner.

Thank you
We had a great stay. Thank you so much

The place was nice and what we expected. Had a couple issues though.
Overall, it is very nice place to stay. A couple of things. There were towels drying on the table and over the backs of the chairs when we arrived and hair in the master bathroom shower. Also, could not get the master bedroom TV to work. Other than these few concerns, it was very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous clean condo near ski slopes with boot dryer
This is a wonderful clean condo very close to the ski slopes. It had everything that it needed to make it comfortable. The owner was very responsive and friendly. The kitchen had all the necessary cooking tools necessary to prepare meals at home. The garage was heated and had ski storage racks. The owner also included a large boot/ glove dryer with the unit. (AWESOME) This condo was about 150 yards to the Puma T-bar type ski lift. (YOU CAN NOT SKI to CONDO or SKI OUT from CONDO). The location was still convenient as a person would not have to drive or catch a bus to get to the base of the mountain. (As a warning: If you did not get on Ramcharger lift before it closed around 4 pm, you could not ski down to condo and instead would have to walk from mountain village to the condo... About 400 yards) The community also kept the sidewalks to the house free of snow and ice. The inside of condo was beautifully decorated and comfortable for our 2 families. The large dining table was ideal when all 8 wanted to sit down to eat. Having 3 bathrooms was also convenient for 8 people to get ready. Groceries are very expensive in Big Sky, so stop at a store in Bozeman before heading out to save on that expense. (Milk and eggs are the same price, everything else is >50% more) I would recommend this condo to people looking to stay within walking distance of the mountain village and walking distance of a ski lift. (There was no hot tub, but the Huntley Lodge allowed us to use their facilities during our stay in the Big Horn Condo)
