This was a nice clean, quiet place with a big backyard overlooking the mountains. Lots of bird activity if you kept the feeders filled. We loved seeing the Quail come to the feeders. We liked walking around the neighborhood and enjoyed the hot tub.
The sauna was a bust though, never broke a sweat in it and the wifi was slow and spotty.
Other than those two things we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.
Easy communication with host who gave us suggestions on restaurants and things to do.
What you see in the VRBO listing is what it is although we didn't think the pictures did it justice. (Much nicer!)

I want to keep this wonderful rental my own little secret because it is absolutely amazing! This is the BEST rental we have ever stayed in. And trust me-we are very picky. The bed was more comfortable than my Tempurpedic at home. I could have slept all day. But I was up early each morning to drink my coffee on the back patio and visit with the birds and bunnies. In the past, we have stayed in the foothills but there were numerous restaurants nearby. The Tohono Chul gardens were less than three miles away, with delicious food, great shopping, and wonderful walks. The homeowner was very kind sending us information before our arrival and making sure we got nicely settled when we arrived. I also feel like the checkout was less involved than many other rentals. The hot tub was a relaxing retreat after a fun day of sightseeing. But has twinkle lights and water lights if you wanted to make it a party atmosphere. I highly recommend this rental but make sure to leave a week available for me because I will be coming back!

Several nice privacy areas to sit outside and inside, ie. sunroom, back patio, living room, backyard patio. Well stocked home. Beautiful views and birds of the desert.
Very relaxing, a great getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property and our dogs loved the large fenced in yard as much as we did. It was nice to relax in the several seating areas in the backyard. We put birdseed out and filled the hummingbird feeder so we could see and appreciate many different types of birds and bunnies. There are stunning mountain views from both the front and back of the property. It is in a neighborhood, however with the wash to one side and enough distance and foliage between neighbors, it felt very secluded and private.
Minutes from shopping and hiking made it a very convenient location.
Sue was excellent in keeping in contact with tips and if we needed anything or had questions.
Would definitely return.

We had a wonderful week at Rancho for a family Christmas gathering! Oro Valley is a wonderful area and Rancho is close to everything that area has to offer. We walked, hiked, shopped, and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful fenced in back yard that Rancho offered. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable and relaxing. Sue, the owner was great; responded quickly and with helpful info for us to use. We plan to come back to Tucson at some point and Rancho would be our definite choice for another stay!

This house is in a great location for what we wanted from our stay in Tucson. There are plenty of places to shop and eat (El Charro was amazing), it's under 10 minutes to Catalina Start Park with its great hiking trails (recommended by owner Sue, which was spot on!), a short drive to other parks and even downtown, and it provides a chance to see desert wildlife in the backyard! The bed in the master bedroom is perhaps the most comfortable we have ever experienced in our stays at VRBO properties, no kidding. Sue was great to work with; no complaints from us on the whole experience. Thanks Sue!

We enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental. My family was comfortable and the house had all the basics that we needed. It was in a private area and the backyard was a nice place to hang out with pretty mountain views. The owner was very communicative and helpful via text - but didn't respond to questions on the Homeaway messaging service (so text her). The main reason I didn't give it a higher rating is because the Hot Tub was not available. If you are renting this location (which features a hot tub and sauna in all the pictures) realize that they are NOT available all the time. I guess they close it down seasonally and didn't say anything to us - which was a bit upsetting since it was one of the deciding factors on why we rented the place and spent this level of money in the first place. Otherwise, the house was nice and comfortable...!

The back yards offers the mountains...up close and personal. Then in the evening the front yards offers the sunset views to die for.

The weather for February did not cooperate. However, the property was great close to everything. The large yard and views were exceptional. The owners were great to deal with/

My husband and I stayed at Rancho for the month of January, 2019 and loved it! The house is very conveniently located with easy access to grocery stores, gyms, restaurants, hiking and biking etc. The kitchen is very well equipped in terms of cookware and spices; the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and we also liked the fact that the house has an office because we both had to work during our stay. Additionally, we had our dog with us and we really enjoyed the large, fenced in backyard overlooking the mountains. The neighborhood is very nice and folks were very friendly and chatty as we took our lunchtime runs and walks with the dog. The weather was perfect while we were there – nice, crisp mornings and warm sunshine in the afternoon – the sunsets were amazing. We got out and about during the weekends and one of the “not to be missed” things to do is to go up to Mount Lemmon –it’s worth the beautiful drive alone but you can also romp in the snow at the top. Dove Mountain is also very beautiful with lots of dog friendly hiking. Our two favorite places to eat ended up being Harvest which is 10 minutes from the house and Elvira which is downtown. For those who like beer, we thought Barrio was the best brewery. Sue and Terry were wonderful to work with and made us feel right at home – I would definitely recommend staying here.

Scenic desert location close to the tennis tournament we were attending. Enjoyed sunrise/sunset views. Neighborhood is also very quiet and dark at night, allowing appreciation of the starry Arizona skies.
