Perfect for a coastal getaway with friends or family, this Arch Cape vacation cottage offers beautiful ocean views, a quiet, relaxing location, and lots of nearby shore for exploring! This cottage on the northern Oregon Coast is the ideal respite from everyday life - nestled right between Hug Point State Park and Oswald West State Park. When you're ready to explore the shore, beach access is only three blocks away. The beaches on this part of the coast are quite scenic. Take a short drive to Hug Point to discover a seasonal waterfall, caves carved into sandstone cliffs, and tide pools accessible during low tide. While Arch Cape is a small, sleepy residential community, a bit to the north is bustling and popular Cannon Beach featuring numerous galleries, shops, and restaurants. The town of Manzanita is about nine miles south, and you'll want to take an afternoon to explore the small bookstores, galleries, and bakeries here.
Inside, you'll be surrounded by comfy sofas, rocking chairs, hardwood floors, and a wood-beamed ceiling in the living area. Everyone will be able to pick their favorite spot to read a book borrowed from the shelf, watch DVDs and Blu-Rays on the TV, or just hang out and talk - all with breathtaking views out the large picture windows. Not just for a summer vacation, you can watch dramatic winter storms right from the warmth of the living area. Any time of year, a wood stove provides both heat and ambiance to the living and dining areas, inviting you to enjoy leisurely meals and post-dinner discussions while finishing off the wine and watching the sunset over the ocean.
A full kitchen (no dishwasher) provides you with all you'll need for whipping up tasty, homemade vacation food. Outside, you'll find a deck with a bench out on the bluff for unobstructed views of vast horizons, ocean surf, and stretching shorelines - from the prominence of Cape Falcon to the east to closer by Arch Cape, Castle Rock, and Hug Point State Park. Look north to distant views of iconic Haystack Rock and rugged Tillamook Head. If you look carefully or bring binoculars, you will see 'Terrible Tilly,' the Tillamook Rock Light House isolated a mile out at sea. Other amenities include WiFi and a washer/dryer.

I read multiple reviews on the terrible beds and naively thought, "surely with this many complaints they've fixed them" - wrong. One bed has a broken box spring (yes, I looked under the bed after sleeping like a taco the first night) and the second bed is not broken but still awful. We had friends who lived nearby bring us air mattresses and we slept in the living room.
Now, that all sucks, but during the day the place will be fine, right? Wrong. We saw the big beautiful windows in the picture and knew we were going during the winter, so figured the chances were high that we'd rather watch the ocean from inside. Well, that would have been fine except that the windows are so old and single pane that they completely fog up on the inside. Lucky for us, the heater in the bedroom is broken (yep, same bedroom with the broken bed) so vacasa put a space heater in there which we moved you the living room and aimed at one window to defog it so that we could see glimpses of the ocean.
Vacasa, you're a multi-million dollar company - DO BETTER!! If you need me to send you a link on where to find an intact box spring, you let me know. And don't advertise an ocean view if it doesn't exist when it's cold or raining - this is the OREGON COAST!! Buyer beware, this place has so much potential, but unless you don't care if you sleep or see the water, stay away until vacasa steps up and stand behind this rental.

My 3 kids, our dog and I had a very stress free and relaxing Christmas at this wonderful place! The views were absolutely amazing and we really appreciated the cleanliness and feeling of being at home that this place made us feel.

Fantastic view! The only downsides were that while the bed in the primary was comfy, the double bed in the second bedroom was horrible. Also, the cell service was spotty at best and there were no instructions on operating the TV but that was not a problem for us. The beaches were fantastic! We had them to ourselves, and our dogs loved it. Overall, the place was very comfortable very conveniently located with a view that is unmatched we would definitely stay here again.

We like how it’s pet friendly. Very quite! Short drive to town. This is our second time there. And will stay again. However that patten leather couch has seen it’s better days. Hard on this old back.

We loved Rose Haven. Climbing roses, sitting on bench soaking in this marvelous place. We felt a big warm feeling here. All other reviews comment on beds along with cleanliness… it felt lived in with wonderful memories. We are coming back next year! If you want to do laundry bring soap.

This property is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with a stunning view of the beach. We had a wonderful time and Rose is a wonderful host.

Fantastic location. Small house, but perfect for us. Easy walk to the beach.

This place has a wonderful view of the ocean through the large windows facing the ocean. perfect for a get away to just relax and look at the waves. Only had basic cable channels but the DVD player kept us busy a lot of the time.

This house has a great view of the ocean and beach. We thought the walk to the beach access might be a pain, but it worked out fine for walking on the beach a couple times a day. Our biggest issues were cleanliness and maintenance items. Both of these had been written up by previous reviewers, but had not been addressed appropriately. The kitchen backsplashes were dirty, and a lot of the dishes were greasy. Dried food on the tablecloth and a thick layer of dust under the couch looked like it hadn't been touched in many months. Water was leaking between the bottom of the toilet and the floor. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but there were some issues. And new mattresses would be a welcome change. With a few days of work and a few thousand dollars the owners and management could turn this into a five-star rental.

I have stayed here a number of times and this cottage while located in wonderful location is aging poorly.
The paint is peeling on the deck & signs of wear get worse every year. The entrance door on bottom where joins frame is breaking down & unstable.
The new mattress and plastic deck shares were much needed after years of poor beds.
Great location and for all the added fees this gem needs some love and attention!!!!!

The view was incredible. We were very comfortable.

Love the location (quiet and equally close to Cannon and Manzanita), the view (ocean right outside the window), cute little cozy cabin. Cleaning and maintenance: so much room for improvement!!! The toiled is leaking, the mattress is 20 y.o. or so, the bed is flimsy, the rose bushes prevent you from entering the house; bathroom rugs and table clothes are old, used and look dirty. New management and little upkeep is required to make it feel like a Dream.

Perfect Home Away from Home!
This home was perfect for our stay in Arch Cape! The view was stunning and just a short walk to a beautiful beach. The home was clean and set up well with plenty of amenities for our stay. The local manager Leslie was very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. We already look forward to staying here again.

Great location, beautiful ocean view, very cozy cottage!
Loved the small cottage feel and covered spot in the deck.
Entry door difficult to negotiate - needs a landing.

Beach in the fall
The house was clean and cozy and the view of the ocean was fantastic. Had our dog along so the enclosed yard was a great asset for us. Truly enjoyed our stay at SS Rose Haven

Nice cozy house with great location
Quiet, older house with a great view and close to the beach access. A very nice place to hang out and watch the waves

Beautiful views
This cabin was perfect for my spouse and our small dogs. The location is excellent and the views from the bluff go from Castle Rock to Haystock rock and beyond.
The double beds are small for two people, we usually sleep in a King size bed. And, if you want to watch movies, it is old school DVD unless you use your computer to access streaming.

Excellent View and Location
Quaint older home. Nothing modern or updated with this property. Incredible view and location. Cleanliness not the greatest, (2-3 stars) but that is feedback for Vacasa, not the property.

Cute little beach house
This house has amazing views and is cute and cozy. We loved the location. It's super close to Cannon beach and Ecola state park. You do have to like to snuggle, there are only full and twin sized beds. We were unfortunate to plan our trip over a record breaking heatwave in the area though because there is no air conditioning. The house does heat up in the evening. There was access to several fans though. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay here. You can't beat the view!

Great place to stay for price. Could have been a little cleaner in bathroom behind toilet, some dust/hair accumulation. Maybe im a little picky thou. Also could use a little dusting here and there, but nothing to keep me from staying again in the future. Keep in mind, it us a one-butt kitchen. The wood stove burns hot and fast. Bring lots of wood to enjoy the fire through each evening. Great heat producer.Beds weren't the most comfortable, but acceptable. Ladder leading up to top bunk is more for kids, not shaky so much as an adults larger feet may hurt climbing up. Overall a nice place.

The mattresses from hell
We knew the place was small and the kitchen was tiny so we were prepared for that. However, when we first got there we discovered that the toilet was leaking. We called the manager listed in the notebook, left a message with our issue, an no call back—the entire time we were there. So we had to keep a towel wrapped around it our entire stay. The cleaning people need to look up occasionally. There re a lot of cobwebs on the rafters and the ceiling fan is covered in dust on the blades. But the worst part of our stay ere the mattresses. The first night we attempted to sleep in the beds together. By the next night we realized it was impossible. I slept in our bed, my husband slept on the couch, my sister-in-law slept in their bed, clinging to the side so she did not roll into the giant dip in the center. And my brother-in-law he top gather up every extra pillow in the place and put them on top of the “mattress” on the bottom bunk bed just to be comfortable. -he swears it felt like sleeping on a box spring. So a relaxing vacation was ruined as no one could get a decent night’s sleep for 5 days.

Little Blue
This little blue house was a decent little place for the cost. The outside could use a little sprucing up as well as some updates in the inside. It would make home more comfortable and inviting.
House was pretty clean and plenty of towels for all and some beach toys to borrow!
I’d asuggest the storm door into the home have bounce back springs removed. Door is heavy and our 7 year old got nailed prettt hard on his foot and got a pretty deep wound from it.
I like listing pros and cons of a place to help determine if I’d stay again.
Pros:
Good price
Great views
Clean
Cons:
Outdated , could be more comfy
No direct beach access

Everything that matters
We loved our stay in Arch Cape. The house is rustic and the views are gorgeous. No phone service in the house but the Wi-Fi was good so we were able to work. Perfect little beach house if you are comfortable with simple pleasures like long beach walks and bonfires at night.

The view!!!
The view is stunning! Just beautiful. The house is very cute and vintage. Beds were small but comfortable. The home has everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen is tiny, but who cares when you can look outside and watch the waves crashing. The home has a nice long driveway with plenty of parking and grass for your pup. The only thing that would make this house even better would be a fire pit. But then who would ever leave.... cant wait to book again.

Amazing view, great location
The property itself was cute, somewhat outdated and beds were small but otherwise had everything my family of four needed. Perfect location. Easy beach access down the street from this cottage with a beautiful view.

Cozy Ocean View Cabin
The view from this property is absolutely spectacular!! It’s high on a bluff above the beach at Arch Cape with ocean views from every window in the living room and kitchen. The biggest downside was the internet connection that was virtually useless. There was no way to use a computer or cell phone. The internet service needs to be upgraded. Another issue is the BBQ grill that is also useless. It’s rusted and the wheels fall off.

Great place
Thanks for opening up your cool home. My girlfriends and I loved it. The extra touch from Vacasa was really nice...the dog dish, clean up bags and extra stuff. We really appreciated it and our pup loved the lawn and bench. We will be back.

We loved this cozy cottage with the wide-angle view of the ocean.
We all want to go back. Loved being right on the water. The only drawback is no good reading lights in the living room.

Great little cottage on the ocean
Very cute cottage right on the ocean. Enjoyed watching the ocean, house set up great for my husband and I. The only suggestion would be the bed closes to bathroom needs a new mattress - we kept rolling into the middle due to sagging in middle.

Loved the hideway that this house gave even when nestled in between two story homes. Great neighborhood walking to get to the beach with lovely homes.
