We've stayed at this property a couple of times now and absolutely love it. The property images really speak for themselves, no surprises at this gem.
8.0 / 10.0
Wonderful views from giant windows. Hot tub was a delight. Just be aware that the second bedroom is on the upper floor with the loft, up the spiral staircase, which makes it very difficult to access for those with mobility issues.

The hot tub was the best! Loved the view and cozy fireplace too. Check out after 10am would have been nice.

This is a great spot on the OR coast. The views from the living room and hot tub were great - amazing sunsets. The beach is a good one - you can walk pretty far in either direction. Fun time!

We were so excited about staying here, but were quickly disappointed by several issues. First - the good - awesome view of the beach and rocks. Could hear the ocean. The hot tub worked. As for the issues:
Checkin delayed - we were unable to check in on time because the cleaner was still there til 4:30.
Towels soaking when we arrived. Cleaner told us she didn’t have time to dry them. Why she couldn’t have put them in the dryer at least? Not a great welcome.
Only one window in main bedroom opened and there was a large rip in the screen, welcoming in bugs into the house.
No bath mat in one bathroom.
No baking sheets - at all - in a supposedly fully stocked kitchen which also only had one dinner fork but a whole bunch of small dessert ones.
Deapitw a sign saying the owner provided condiments - and in fact they did have several - there was no salt. We hadn’t picked that up when we went to grocery because it’s basic and the sign said they had.
This place had a strange garbage set up which required a huge garbage bag - larger than normal- which has to be replaced every Tuesday. There was a sign to use the bags provided Uber the sink. Except there were none.
Both the kitchen and one bathroom sink leaked. The kitchen was just a constant drip but the bathroom flooded the drawers underneath and the floor. A maintenance person was sent out the next day for this.
Dishwasher also leaked and we woke up to wet kitchen floor every mornin
Grill only one half worked
Broken chair on deck

Such a comfy stay. An unbeatable view, easy beach access, clean and comfortable.

The house has amazing views. However, it was not a cheap house and there were some things that were really frustrating. The entry code into the house was glitchy and seems like it should not have been in this day and age.
The grill was not functional, so don’t plan on grilling.
The views were amazing, but it was a walk to the beach. There is no direct access despite the pictures and review.

It was an amazing house. We had a great stay. The views were absolutely stunning and the beach was nice. I loved the way the house was decorated and how welcome we felt when we walked in. I thought everything was perfect but if I did have to make a suggestion it would be to add a floor length mirror. I think it would be very helpful and a nice addition to the house. Thank you for everything by the way we are so grateful that we got to stay in this lovely house.

Possibly my favorite stay yet. Thank you.

We loved this cabin. It was comfortable, quaint and the view was outstanding. Easy access to the beach was wonderful. We loved staying in this sleepy town. We had lunch at Roseanne’s which was lovely. Our biggest complaint concerned the property having a poorly equipped kitchen. Namely, it did not have a spatula in the kitchen. (No store nearby to grab one either) As a result, cooking was difficult.

We took my mother-in-law to the beach for a few days, and this house was perfect!! There is a bedroom and both bathrooms on the first floor, so she didn't have to use the stairs. The view from the front windows is absolutely amazing, and she LOVED sitting in the chair there and watching the waves! The beach is just a short walk away. The kitchen was very nice and had everything we needed. It was also nice having the washer and dryer to dry our wet clothes after getting caught by a wave. The gas stove/fireplace provided the perfect amount of heat and was super cozy! No wood needed, just flip a switch! This is a lovely litle property, and we would absolutely stay there again!

Lovely cottage. Very nice location. Cozy and clean (a few pet hairs here and there, but that's ok. We appreciate pet friendly short-term rentals.)
8.0 / 10.0
Fabulous view from big windows. Short walk to quiet small town on excellent wild beach. Small kitchen very well set up with more than adequate cookware, utensils and gadgets. Also nice that the owners leave basic staples like some common spices, catsup and mustard and coffee and even plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Bathrooms updated and have heated floors! All systems in perfect working order—kitchen appliances, hot tub, gas “wood stove”, washer and dryer. Beds comfortable. Furniture is basic, simple, clean and not at all shabby. Sleeps six but would be crowded in living area and on decks and hot tub best for two. Lots of games for rainy days and a some good movies on DVD.
Other comments: While furnishings as described above, if you’re looking for quaint or charming character you’ll not find it here. The outside trim is in need of paint. The first impression when entering the house is dismal as the front door and trim are very shabby. The main living area needs reading lamps. It would be very nice to have an ottoman or two for the club chairs in front of the big windows. The two beds upstairs are accessed by the pictured spiral staircase and bathrooms are both downstairs which might be a problem for some.

What amazing hosts! Phone chargers, spices, condiments and cleanliness! Views! Beach access! Comfort and, wait, did we say VIEWS????? The only thing that would make it better would be an 11 am checkout (instead of 10). We loved it!

We loved the view and hot tub!! The parking description is accurate. There's enough space for two cars to parallel park. Maybe 3 if all 3 cars are compact. There are 3 queen beds. Yes, you can sleep 6 but only if yall can share the beds. The love seat and couch are not sleepers. The couch is long enough for a short person if folks don't want to share the queens. The gas wood stove is nice and toasty and does a great job at warming up the space. The second floor does get pretty hot. The two restrooms have heated floors. Despite the outside look, the inside has updates. Floors are nice. restrooms are updated. Kitchen is nice. Water gets hot pretty fast (love!). Fully stocked kitchen if you want to cook! Microwave, convection oven. Compliments on the genius and innovative strategy for the garbage!! LOVE it SOOOO much! A beautiful spiral staircase takes you to the second floor. The staircase has a gate that is great if you have kids/animals that you don't want wondering up and down. I can't say enough how amazing a view it is. It's a short walk into town and to where there's a fully updated and easy access to the beach. I didn't do my research ahead of time, but the beach was always full of people combing through the rocks. It's because the beach is known for beautiful agates washing up on shore. Folks surfed and paraglided. It's a fairly active beach but in a low key kind of way. It's lovely. I will definitely stay here again!!

Full of gratitude for the incredible time we had at your cottage. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise.
Serene walks along the beach, seeing shooting stars in the night sky and watching the sunset over the vast Pacific Ocean will be etched in our memories.
Your cottage truly is a gem. The attention to detail and the thoughtfulness from the cozy interior to the well-maintained amenities, everything exceeded our expectations.

Review of Oceanside VRBO/Vacasa August 2023
I reserved it for 3 adults, 2 children and a small dog for 4 nights. From the description we thought it was 2 bedrooms and a loft. It was two bedrooms but the 2nd bedroom was part of the loft and was only accessible through the loft via a narrow and rickety (broken), spiral It was hot and stuffy in the loft, even with windows open and fan on, no windows in loft.
The bill came on our credit card with an additional Vacasa fee. I called both Vacasa and VRBO to complain about the additional fee but got nowhere until VRBO posted something on Facebook about how all the fees were up front. I complained and was refunded the Vacasa fee.
All in all we had a great time, I love the location and the town, you advertised Roseanna’s as a good place to eat breakfast but they don’t serve breakfast, also that place and the Blue Agate cafe were not open some of the days we were there which would have been good to know as there are only 3 places in town at which to eat.
The location and view and hot tub were superb, a little difficult parking on a busy curve on the highway but great to be close to the ocean and the roar of the waves mostly drowned out the the traffic noise. We had to call maintenance for several issues including how to operate garbage disposal, replace bungee cords on hot tub lid, replace batteries in grill. Maintenance was very responsive but for the cost I did not expect such issues. It was exorbitant for what it was.

Its fine except the price. 5 nights with 2 dogs ends up costing 525 a night.
Its on a busy road. No fence. Not really serene unless you looking to hang in living room.

What an absolutely exquisite view! The pictures online are great - but the views in person are even better! High tide comes up really high on the beach, and the height of the windows makes it feel like you are on a boat and right in the water.
We had so many kinds of skies -stormy to sunny - and the windows made us feel all the moods that the Oregon coast can be.
Cape Lookout and the lighthouse were close but the pebbles and agates on the beach right in Oceanside were the best.
Beds and showers are excellent - the fireplace kept us cozy and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing.
We would love to visit again. Your kitchen is well set up, too. Such an easy place to visit with all comfortable and thoughtful details. Thanks for sharing your home.

My husband and I Came to stay for our anniversary and as small as this house looks from the outside it feels big on the inside. We took our dogs and it was great. Hot tub every night to soothe our legs. Saw seals outside the windows in the morning. Just a magical little place. Walked to the little caffès in town. House was very clean and the heated bathroom floors were a nice surprise in the mornings. We definitely would stay again.

This home was wonderful. The owner really went out of their way to provide all the things you needed to ensure a great trip. From complimentary coffee beans for use, condiments, games, Dvds, streaming services and books with maps of the area and more. We showed up to a very clean and inviting home. Thank you for sharing it with us, and thank you Vacasa for helping to take care of this place. It's a treasure!

This place is a 5 star place unfortunately we didn’t have a 5 star experience. Partially our fault for not checking the tub upon arrival. The location and views are to phenomenal. Unfortunately we choose this place so we could have a weekend away enjoying views from the hot tub and when we went to get into the hot tub we found very low water levels and cold water. We were able to fill the tub and turn it on but of course it took hours for the tub to heat up leaving very minimal time to enjoy it.

Had a lovely visit. Friends from Portland came for 2 nights. Went to Rockaway Beach for fish tacos. Ate at lovely Rosanna's. Cooked. Couldn't figure out the grill. No house book. Had to drive to the beach parking to walk the dogs. A little fenced area would be helpful for pets. Had to leave a day early due to an emergency. Hated to leave. Cell service terrible. Beach fun.

The view is amazing A little crowded for three couples. Not enough comfortable seating for six in living room. We were expecting queen size beds. They are full size. My husband is 6’4” so he was not comfortable even though the mattress was comfortable. House is perfect for a single couple or couple with kids
