Cozy apartment, was perfect for 9-10 single guests. Easy access to mountain, busses and walkable restaurants. Communication was easier with Phoenix staff than VRBO property managers.

Great location and enough beds for everyone!! What a treat. Will come back as often as we can!! Thank you!

Nice property but the furniture need updating, Ice maker does not work, Kitchen is not well equipped and number of lights out and apparently they could not find replacement. Requiring the plastic entry cards to be picked from and returned to off site management company office is unnecessary hassle

Warm and cozy! Easy walk to the base!

Great location
The mountain base was only a 3 min walk.

Great layout
This is a large condo that can comfortably host a large family or two smaller families. It was a short walk to the gondola and it offered covered parking.

Steamboat
The location of the property was excellent. The property itself needs a lot of updating. Really worn and not really clean. Limited utensils, glasses and pots and pans in the kitchen. Light bulbs out or lights didn’t work. Limited blankets also. The property really needs some TLC.

Great Location for Skiing
Great location for skiing. 5 minute walk to Gondola. Easy to come back to unit for lunch while skiing. Garage parking is too tight for larger vehicles and parking on the property is extremely limited. Owner recently made changes to unit adding 2 twin bunked beds to master bedroom. Bathrooms are very small.

Great Location!!
The property was great! The location was awesome. We were able to walk to the resort (in ski boots and all) through a snow path that was a across the street and up the sidewalk a little ways. The path was above the restaurant parking lot and before the condos. However if you don't feel like walking, the condo complex comes with a shuttle! This shuttle was soooo convenient. You call the number that was given to us in our check-in envelope and you can call the shuttle anytime ans ask for a pick up. They will literally pick you up just to take you to the resort which is only a couple minute drive. People in our group used the shuttle to go to and from the resort and to and from town.
The condo itself was great too. The rooms were great and it was super helpful that all the rooms had their own bathroom! We are also very close to the jacuzzi. We could see it from our window. Having a washer and dryer in unit and one car garage was great too!
Overall, I would 100% stay in this unit again!

Excellent Ski House
This property was perfect for a group of skiers hitting the mountain each day. Less than five minutes to the gondola from the doorstep.

Great location!
Overall, we were very pleased with the property. It was clean, great location and lots of space. The only thing I would have liked to see was tupperware/storage containers for food and/or ziplock baggies. I do find these in most rentals, and unfortunately didn't realize there weren't any until after we had made a large dinner with nothing to do with our leftovers. Small issue, but would have been nice to have. Property was great, nice hot tubs and heated pool. Nice little loft area that the kids loved playing in. I read somewhere that not a lot of condos have air conditioning in Steamboat so it might be standard, but there was only air in the master and the kitchen. It was really hot in september. Great stay tho!

Great place for a family!
The location was perfect, close to gondola square, and a small grocery, beer, and wine store. Staff was welcoming and helpful. The heated pool was great for the kids and the hot tubs were loves by the adults. We would definitely come back to this condo.

Comfortable Stay, Perfect for Big Families
We enjoyed staying at this condo. Each bedroom had their own full bathrooms plus an extra in the main area which made it very easy for everyone to get ready quickly in the morning. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prep meals. The furniture was comfortable and there was plenty of room for us to feel like we weren't cramped.
The only downside was the walk to the gondola. We were under the impression the condo was right next to the gondola based on the description (which it may be during the summer months). However, we stayed here during the winter and it was a longer than expected walk down the hill (which was uphill on the way back) and was challenging for the elderly individuals in our group with health issues (we ultimately had to drive them).

We loved it
Great place to stay, easy access to mountain and pool/hot tub directly outside building.

Perfect location!
This condo is in a great location. We are grateful to someone else who posted directions to get to and from the slopes: you walk across the street to the Ptarmigan Inn parking lot. At the back of the parking lot there is a small shed, and the access trail runs right behind it.
We did not "ski in ski out", but rented our skis at Christie's at the base of the Gondola. For no extra charge they will store you rental skis (and poles) overnight. You can rent a locker for $2 per night for your boots. You can then walk along the access trail, and down to the gondola base comfortably in your own boots. Worked well for us.
Only downside of this condo is that the bathrooms are all really small. Clean, but very small.
We loved the hot tub which is very easy to access out the back of the condo. Stop at the office in the building across, past the hot tubs, to pick up towels, then enjoy the hot tub, and drop the outdoor towels in a bin in the lobby of the building with "your" condo.
The day we arrived, we got in quite early (?11 am). The condo was not ready. We spent several hours at the town hot springs (very pleasant). Retreatia (management company?) stored our luggage while we did so. They said they would call when the condo was ready (check in is supposed to be at 4 pm). We called once around 2 pm, and the person who answered had clearly never heard of us, or the call we were waiting for, but said yes, she would call when ready. We called again at 4- and after first saying there was no one to drive their shuttle to get us to the condo, we were finally picked up at 4:30 and driven to the condo. Not ideal.
Town buses were free and great.

Property was exactly as promised.
Property was exactly as promised. About a block away from the ski hill. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, roomy condo
Great location - 5 min walk from base. Condo is roomy, comfortably sleeps 8.
Retreatia management not as customer service friendly as I would expect. Some days, inadequate parking- no space for our car.

Very nicely stocked, great location, clean & spacious
Great location. Great unit. Nice decor, spacious, and clean. Beds in 126A were not very comfortable, but otherwise we all very much enjoyed all of unit 126 and 126A

Great location, lots of space.
We loved the layout of the house and it’s proximity to the slopes. We were grateful for the other review on here that explained how to ski-in, ski-out. There was a short walk but those directions really helped us find the trail. It made it super easy to get to the slopes.
Overal, it was a great stay. The house is big and we enjoyed the space. The upstairs bedroom got pretty warm so we slept with the window open and it was fine.
The only negatives were about the management company, not the house itself. One problem was that our place was not ready on time. We were promised 4pm check-in and got into town early, so we asked if we’d be able to get into a little early. Not only could we not get in early (which is fine) but when we got there at 4:30pm, we walked in to two people who had just started cleaning! They didn’t leave the place until 6pm! Also, one of the cleaning people said that maintenance would be there later to fix the drain in the master tub, and she left it dirty with a huge glob of hair in it. I called Retreatia about it and they were very rude, stating that the maintenance staff had a lot of people on their list already. Since the master tub filled up with dirty, gross water when we tried to use it, the master shower was unusable for a couple days... and even after it was fixed, it wasn’t cleaned, so we still couldn’t use it. Retreatia did nothing about this.
Retreatia also doesn’t give you more than four keys even though the property sleeps more than four.
Finally, the other negative (albeit small) was that the kitchen has no water glasses. It’s not a huge deal but it would be great if the owner could purchase a few regular drinking glasses!
Other than that, we loved the place and enjoyed our stay. We would stay there again.

Warm inviting Condo for family vacation!
The Condo was an excellent location that involved only a 5 minute walk to the slopes! The unit's layout was very spacious for our family of 8. Utilized the hot tub and outdoor gas grills amenities on the grounds on multiple occasions that only added to the relaxation of our stay. Also, the Retreatia management agency (thanks Kyle, Elliot and the gang) was excellent to work with and made it very easy to check in and out of the Condo.

great space, very clean and comfortable.
We stayed over the summer with several adults and children. The space is great for a lot of people. There is also a little loft where my kids enjoyed sleeping. The directions and instructions were easy and helpful. The only negative was that the upper floor was hot and there was not great ventilation throughout the condo. It was a hot week and oddly, even opening windows at night didn't help that much. There is an airconditioner in the master that helped.

Wahoos at Phoenix 126
Great location--just up the street from the Gondola (5-7 min walk). Well equipped unit including kitchen items and furnishings. Coffee was nice benefit. Nice balcony view and hot tub was nice touch. Grocery stores and liquor stores close by (10 min drive). King bed was comfortable and nice to have 4 baths given our large group of 7. Garage was handy given the weather. Lots of information on restaurants, places to visit, lift tickets, rentals, etc. Good customer service by the Rental Company.
Covered parking was very crowded and w/2nd car, it was hard to find spaces. Instructions on trash/recycling were confusing. Temps were alittle hard to regulate given the different levels. Master bedroom was generally hot while lower levels were cool. Overall, very nice unit and good value given Easter week crowd.

Great location
The unit was in a great location with a 3 minute walk to the slopes. The downstairs garage was perfect for leaving all our ski equipment. Each room had its own bathroom which made it very convinient. The units shuttle service was prompt and courteous. We Enjoyed our stay very much.

Great location, excellent amenities, good price point
This was our first stay in The Phoenix complex and we were very pleased. The condo was great for our busy families and the hot tubs and pool were not to be missed after skiing and riding all day. The clubhouse also has a sauna, rest rooms, pool table and TV area. Probably one of the best features is the location. It was just a short (3-4 minutes, even with kids) walk over to strap on our skis for a short run down to the gondola base. They have a shuttle that runs frequently over to the Gondola Square transit center, but I think it's probably a longer walk than using the access trail. I do wish they'd let the shuttle drop people off at the Thunderhead lift to allow the option of skipping the morning gondola line.
There's a little strip mall just down the street with a small grocery and restaurant, which was very convenient. The shuttle is on call to drive you into town for dinner, as well, which was great.
Staff was friendly and helpful and provided lots of information prior to arrival and departure. We'll be back!
A hint on accessing the slopes in you're staying in this condo: walk in the Ptarmigan Lodge driveway right across from the upper Phoenix driveway and veer around to the right as you get close to the lodge. Look for a small shed on the edge of the parking lot. The official access trail is right behind the shed. You can also access this trail from the street, but it's a bit more of an uphill walk: cross the street and walk uphill. Just before the first corner are some utility/electrical boxes. The entrance to the access trail is just downhill from there.
At the end of the day, take the Christie Peak chair to the mid-point. After you get off of the chair, keep left a bit staying under the gondola. Look for the gondola tower with the criss-cross support beams (the others that are visible are all solid). The entrance to the access trail is right by it. So easy!

Very pleasant space for a family
This condo is clean, large and has enough beds to legitimately sleep a family of 5. The matress in the master bedroom is very soft. Pillow top.

nice place, close to slopes
We enjoyed our stay at the Phoenix condo. The condo was nicely furnished, and had plenty of room for our group of 5. I would not call it ski-in-ski-out, but it was close to the slopes, and easy access by free condo shuttle. The master bath need renovating, but otherwise, I would recommend this condo, and would stay here again.
