We found our perfect vacation place, and we hope you feel the same! Casa Curiel is an airy, light-filled and peaceful 2 bedroom/2 bathroom respite within a quieter, condo complex -- complete with a gorgeous pool. This is also one of the units in this condo complex that has striking views from the condo itself.
All of this is so well-situated in Zona Dorada -- a few blocks from the best beach on the Bay of Banderas, less than a block from restaurants, bars, convenience store, Chedraui -- a big box store, bank, pharmacy and taxi stand.
The condo itself has a fully equipped kitchen with an open concept layout allowing the gorgeous Mexican sunlight to bounce everywhere. In fact, most of the 'walls' to the outside are made of glass patio doors. There is a master bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a king size bed (really two twins fitted together with a special connector and king size bedding) The second bedroom has two double beds. There is a second bathroom just outside this bedroom. Both bedrooms have sliding glass patio doors that open to let the ocean breeze in. For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer in the condo itself.
There is a deck off of the dining room with an outside table and chairs -- a great place to enjoy your morning coffee (yes, there is a coffeemaker) across from a Palapa roof and with a view of the pool in the background.
For lounging in the condo, we have a large flat screen SMART TV and an upgraded, private internet connection (not shared wifi).
And finally, a short 2 flights of stairs above Condo Curiel is a large patio with palapas and incredible views of the mountains and sea. Its a wonderful place to have dinner or watch the sunset.
The beach is a pleasant 9-12 minute walk away. What is it that makes it the best in the Bay of Banderas? The grade is mild (sometimes even flat if you catch the tide right) so you can walk along it comfortably for miles in either direction. The sand is mostly the fine and golden kind that feels great under the feet -- not too many pebbles. Gorgeous mountain views in both directions. And there are plenty of waves to play in but they aren't too scary big. Don't miss a chance to see the beautiful sunset behind the ocean. We provide you with backpack beach chairs, beach towels, beach toys, and a rolling cart to take everything comfortably to and from the beach, although if things get broken by guests, they are often hard to replace, so we cannot guarantee the presence of all these things.
My husband and I used to rent places to stay from VRBO. We tried to include all the things we wished people had included, so if we didn't mention something, just shoot us an email and ask! Maybe we already have it, or if we think its a good idea, maybe we will get it. We also have a wonderful local manager, Silvia, that can help make your stay comfortable while you are there. She would be happy to make arrangements for maid service or other services you may like. Maid service is provided every 2 week for people staying at least a month.
If you want a place with a homey, comfortable feel, this is a great fit. Not everything is brand new, like it might be in a resort, but it is clean and comfortable, and we renew things as needed like you do in your home. If you see an aspect that has reached the end of its useful life, please let us know. Sometimes our manager can just pick up a new one for you (or reimburse you). If she can't get that item in Mexico, we need to send it or bring it from the states.
Finally, we don't charge a security deposit, because we trust you to tell us if you break something, and just try to replace it locally. This helps keep the quality up for everybody. My manager cannot test and inventory each kitchen item between guests so we trust you to be honest and thoughtful about the experience of the next guest. If you can't replace something you broke and its expensive, we may ask you to reimburse us, but there are few items that qualify for this contingency.

This place felt like our home away from home! We had everything we needed and when a storm system came through the property manager checked in on us! The grocery store is next door to the condo. The place is equipped with every thing you need. The rooftop getaway is exquisite and the pool is lovely. When you step inside La Perla Del Mar it truly is paradise. The place has an old style charm to it and I love that there is only one television so it forces your children to interact đ lastly we had a beach day since itâs less than 10 minutes away. Everything from the tents, beach chairs, kids toys, and towels were available! Really nice getaway and the property manager is the sweetest person youâll meet. We arrived nearly 11pm and she stayed to welcome us and give us a tour. 10/10!! Will definitely stay again. Thanks Sylvia

The place is way nicer than the pictures. The host was fabulous, unit was clean, had everything we needed. Also has in suit laundry. pool is great. Nice location . All for all a great stay.

Location is fabulous, just a short walk to the beach and restaurants. The grocery store next door (Chedraui) was very handy, although you do need to be prepared for long lineups. There is an Italian restaurant about 5 minutes away that is a must go to.
The complex had great landscaping, and everyone was friendly. It is an older group there but that works for us as it was pretty quiet. We were a bit surprised that the pool wasnât heated but it did warm up by mid afternoon.
There was a bit of a hiccup with the check in process, the property manager wasnât aware we were arriving, and the unit hadnât been cleaned. The property manager did a quick clean and the cleaners came back the next day and then the day before we left the property manager dropped in again to leave cleaning supplies for the next guest. Darcy did give us a discount for the inconvenience.
The unit itself is a bit dated, but everything worked. We did have to buy a toaster because there wasnât one. It was also really nice to have the barbeque.
Darcy was very responsive and understanding when I mentioned that a tile cracked when we dropped a glass item. She is very organized as well and sent us all the information we needed up front.
Overall, I would recommend this place, Bucerias is a great little town and this place is close enough to everything while still being quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. When we arrived we were greeted by the Property Manager Sylvie who gave us a very thorough briefing. Both she and the owner Darcy were very good at responding to any additional questions or requests. It was great to be so close to the grocery store and the complex has a very nice pool with lots of places to sit. We enjoyed going to the beach as well which is a nice walk for people like me who like to walk (my husband found it a bit too long) and the umbrellas, chairs and boogie boards provided were much appreciated. The condo is also in close proximity to many good restaurants (we loved the taco restaurant across the street that Sylvie recommended), a taxi stand as well as the bus stop. We also appreciated the ample supply of towels, linens, the comfortable beds and couch and the washer/dryer.

I've been to the area many times before, but it was the first time staying here. The condo was in a great location, in that it is close to the grocery/pharmacy/convenient store, and close to a few restaurants, etc., this was a big plus. It is a bit of a hike to the beach, especially when its hot and if you have small children and/or any mobility issues. Its a bit of a hike to Centro Bucerias and a lot of the shops and restaurants, but taking a cab is inexpensive and renting a cart is an enjoyable way to get around more easily.
The condo is nice looking, was quite clean, minus a few dirty dishes we found, and was bright, open and just one level up from the pool. The kids loved the iguanas out back. The patio was lacking as it is tiny and without comfortable furniture. Unfortunately we found the inside furniture quite uncomfortable as well, which is something that can be improved upon. The pool is large and fun and the kids really enjoyed that.
Unfortunately, for the second half of the stay, the condo could be quite noisy, but this was due to a lot of construction/repairs, and people hollering, sometimes inappropriately (having children around), but that is not the fault of the condo owner of course.
Overall it was a good experience mostly, and I recommend for people who have no issue with distances to the beach etc. Like I said before, it would go a long way to get comfortable furniture to sit on, inside and out.

Beautiful condo with a great swimming pool and a grocery store right around the corner. Well equipped with everything you need to cook. Even laundry! A bit further than we thought from the beach and town but also much quieter than we thought it would be which was a real plus.

Super Location/communication
We have been very fortunate to be here for several months. It was everything we expected. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, beaches and bars. Communication with both the owner and property manager were excellent. Great for a family or just a couple, other owners and tenants were very friendly. We would definitely reccommend this property. Great condo! Felt like home. Everyone very friendly in the complex & all around town. Good Italian restaurant & a Great sports bar just down the street. Ten minute walk to the miles of walkable beach with several beach bars & restaurants with great food & live entertainment. We will be back!

We arrived and the checking process went very smooth, Silvia the manager was very helpful, professional and always available to us, she even gave us tips about the neighborhood and activities, the place was very nice and clean, great air conditioning units for the hot summer and user friendly, smrt TV which was great when we settled for the day to watch Netflix or Amazon, great neighborhood, right next door to a big grocery store.
Kitchen was well stocked with all the gadgets that we needed, I loved the fact that we had plenty of towels for shower as well as big ones for the beach, my children enjoyed the very nice and clean pool just about every day. Staff in the property was always available, friendly and ready to help in whatever we needed. We will definitely return to Casa Curiel in the future and highly recommended to our friends and family. Condo is âtiredâ and needs updating and some comfortable seating inside and out.
On the plus side it is close to groceries, restaurants and the beach. Water is delivered Monday Wednesday and Friday. Just leave 30 pesos and your empty bottle outside the door

We loved our stay at Casa Curiel. The condo is well supplied with tools for minor repairs. It is bright and sunny. The location next to the Chedraui is a plus especially on market day. It is a short walk to the beach and to many restaurants. The few minor issues we had were quickly looked after by Silvia and Darcy also answered any questions quickly.

Convenient

Great location 10 minute walk to the beach..
Very nice place in great location, close to the beach, bars, restaurants, shopping, cabs and busses . WiFi and hot water were not working when we got there but the Home owner âDarcyâ was very helpful and had things taken care of right away. Only thing I would ask the owner to do is make sure the safe is working and has batteries and that the patio doors locking mechanisms be checked, all were not working but a stick was provided to jar the patio door so it could not be opened from the outside. Very nice place that I would stay at again in the future and recommend to friends and family... Thanks Darcy!!

The beaches were so beautiful and you could literally walk for miles along the ocean. And it was great to have a pool on site as well.
We had high humidity when we were there in June and July and we were very thankful to have the AC.
We had a great balcony that we spent many a morning out on having breakfast and coffee. The breeze in the morning was so refreshing- fantastic!
We would highly recommend this unit to anyone.

We were in town for the month of November, 2017. This was a very comfortable condo, nice deck off dining room, with a breeze most the time, full kitchen which we used for break fast and a few meals, in suite laundry, a plus!! It is central to the main grocery store, the Chedraui, with deli, bakery, produce, fish, and liquor. A nice sized pool in the complex as well, and an upper patio on the fourth floor, where we often viewed sunsets. There were many cafes / pubs as well within a 20 minute walk, and a 5 minute walk to the bus which took you to PVR or La Cruz, San Pancho, etc. and 10 minutes to the beach.
We would return to the same condo and recommend it to any one.

Home from Home
A nice size condo, comfortable and clean. Making this a great home from home. Loved that it had a washer/dryer in suite. The location was easy for local buses and taxis and a short walk to the beach and town square.
Sylvia (local manager) was great, the sky box stopped working and she had someone out with a new one within 24 hrs!
The only down side was the fact the internet was a little hit and miss, so if you need to be connected all the time it might become a problem.

Just returned from our stay in Bucerias, our favourite Mexican place! First time we stayed at this condo and we loved it. It is pretty conveniently located and has everything you could need for a longer stay. The condo was very comfortable, homey, clean and neat with lots of nice handy extras. Sylvia (the Mexican manager) was wonderful and easy to contact if you had any questions. We all really LOVED the pool, the grounds were well kept and the security was great. First visit to Bucerias
What a great find! We truly enjoyed our first time/stay in Bucerias over the busy PV. We found everyone in the complex to be very friendly and free with great suggestions. The condo is stocked with everything you would need and more. I did purchase a few more beach chairs for comfort as the two that Darcy had are small and plastic. We walked everywhere and easy walk up to hi way to get on a bus going north or south. Booking was very easy and Darcy was a pleasure to work with! Thanks again for a wonderful first experience, we will be back.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. It was as described in the listing. Clean, well set up and very convienient. The owner and site contact were easily available and very helpful. I would recommend this propery to anyone wishing to get away from the all inclusives. We were with in walking distance of everything we needed. Hope to return soon.

The owner was very helpful answering our questions. She provided a book of information about the condo and places of interest in Bucerias. The unit is clean, bright and has good appliances: stove, fridge, washer and drier, tv. There are good quality sheets and towels in the unit. A pay-as-you-go cell phone was a nice bonus. The pool was large and clean. We would certainly recommend the property to friends.

A lovely condo with all the comforts of home, plus the beautiful views and access to the beach which of course, we can't get at home! The beach really is beautiful and expansive. You can walk down the beach to some excellent restaurants with tables right out on the sand and the ocean just footsteps away! The town is also lovely to walk through. Make sure to check out the amazing architecture, particularly down the side streets. Pass all the restaurants and shops and cross the charming little bridge to the outdoor market. All this is in easy reach by foot. Not to mention the rooftop patio and the beautiful pool in the condo complex which our kids loved! There were no other kids around when we happened to go, but that didn't stop our kids from pronouncing that they wanted to move there and never leave! This nicely decorated, well-appointed condo with two baths(!) gets an excellent rating because of the convenience and because the property manager, Silvia, is truly lovely, speaks English very well, and will address your every need. We felt well taken care of and very much at home.
