El Apartamento, espacio y el spa

La ubicación el día de llegada y salida es muy incómoda y cara por el precio del acceso. Durante la estancia si te dedicas a esquiar, no está mal ya que la subida en el tren, aunque lenta, te deja en el centro de la estación

Awesome value for money, just be sure you plan your excursions around the gornergrat rail timetable

If you are skiing, the private platform for the gornergrat rail is absolutely stellar for getting you to the slope. You can almost fall out of bed onto the train and end up at the top of the mountain before anyone else.

If you miss the gornergrat train, walking up the steep snowy path from the main road is no fun - especially with bags. Plan your trip accordingly!

Full suite including Kichen, two bedrooms. Nice view of Matterhorn from the bedroom.

Very hard to get to the hotel with luggage. Train need to pay extra even with swiss travel pass. You get in from near that Well , then climb all the way up around 300 meters or more.

Wouldn’t recommend

The apartment was clean and modern, lovely view of the matterhorn, the pool was very nice.

The walk up the apartments from Zermatt is not nice, it is a very steep zig zag path. You can catch a train from zermatt to the legendar but these trains are extremely expensive and very infrequent. The pool can not be used before midday which is not great if you are an early riser. You have to strip your beds and bring used sheets and towels to the laundry room before you leave and also pay a housekeeping fee at the end of your stay which is not something I’ve ever experienced before.

Lovely apartment with a magnificent view of the mountains and Zermatt.

Cleanliness, peaceful, and completeness of the items in the apartment.

The price of the train ticket to the apartment was very expensive. There could have been a discount for guests who want to travel using the train to Legendaer.

There was no breakfast. We liked the size of the apartment and the view.

There was no soap in kitchen and no body wash. The walk up to the hotel was sooo arduous

Unexpected obligations to MYOB (make your own bed) and grueling climb on arrival - buyer beware!

Spacious. On site pool and hot tub in the facility was a plus. The manager was accommodating to allow luggage storage in separate room on day of departure.

The rentee is required to make their own beds with the bedding provided AND take all sheets/towels to laundry at end of stay. Really... Never have we been expected to do this except for cabin stays at a state park. For the price tag there housekeeping services should have been included. The location is remote from town and while the Gornergrat train stops there it is only certain times and to climb up step gravel switchbacks with luggage in tow is a grueling arrival to the property.

Beautiful space for a vacation

Nice quiet location. Large and comfortable space. Super clean and well equipped.

Only dislike was that while a fondue set was made available along with fuel, there were not matches to start it so we had to go down to town to buy some.

Great views from room. Pool was a big hit.

The place is on a hill which provides views and separation but access is limited to a steep trail or very expensive train. That wasn’t very clear when we rented.

Nice place just above Zermatt

Isolated position in the woods, but still at 10 minutes of the busy center of Zermatt

Would be nice to have more Gornergrat trains stopping at the apartment. Maybe a stop on demand would be a good idea.

Will pick another one next time

Large rooms, new and properly maintained.

Everything was basic. The rooms only had two beds and a shelf. No proper wardrobe exists in the entire apartment. There is no toaster and no microwave oven in the apartment. The locations can be accessed by train but the train only stops there a couple of times a day. The rest of the time you have to walk up the hill.

Apartment was great! Plenty of space, great amenities, pool/whirlpool facilities, host was superb! A train station from Zermatt Dorf right in front of the door (be aware it doesn‘t always stop at Legendär). Ideal for a group of friends looking to stay together for a couple days in Zermatt. We were there for a four day skiing trip and would absolutely recommend Legendär!

If you can‘t use the train to get home (e.g. too late at night, not coming from Zermatt Train Station or Gornergrat) it is a pretty steep walk up to Legendär.

Very good

Modern apartment with excellent amenities, they even provide cheese fondue pot and we really enjoy it so much. Train stop right at door.

The location. It's a steep hill climb to the apartment, not friendly accesible especially during winter with luggage unless you bought train ticket (ski pass possible) which we do not have, but we manage to get train ride when check out (which is easy for family with kids)

It is not ski-to-door, you cannot finish your ski run at the hotel. You have to get down to Zermatt and either get one of the trains up (1 per hour) or walk up with your skis for 10 min (60 meters denivelation)

Really nice apartment but a bit too far from Zermatt

The apartment was exactly what was described. Equipped with everything you might need, with really nice views. We loved the indoor pool, all facilities are very good.

The location must be very good if you're visiting in ski season but we didn't like it for summer time. It's a very very steep walk uphill and it's a lot further from downtown Zermatt than we expected. The train frequency is not the best (not all trains stop at the hotel) and it's super expensive! We would definitely come back in winter time but not during the summer.

Very relaxing holidays

Amazing view of the Matterhorn from the living room. Apartment layout, walls and beds were great. There was also a play area for the kids which my son absolutely loved. Staff was wonderful as we were handed very clean apartments and Paula was quick to reply to any Queries we had.

I wish there were lifts or a better way to reach the apartments. Train was an alternate option but wasn't frequent.

Legendair is beautiful when you are there!!! While we were at the apartment everything was perfect. They do their best to inform you of the location, but it just doesnt really convey the difficulty of reaching the place if you are staying there more than 2 or 3 days. The train is truly the only way to get to the place comfortably after a long day/hike etc and the $ adds up quickly when you use it several times a day. Good place for 1 or 2 nights only... could say more, but want to keep it positive ❤️

Don't stay here unless you're young, in good shape & dont mind challenging train schedules. We really hoped to see Zermatt during the late evening, but unfortunately the last train to Legendair is 19:24 every day. Unfortunately we never saw it at night which was a big disappointment. Of course you can climb the long elevated trail/path to get there with out the train, but that was not enjoyable to us after a nice dinner or night out. Enjoy but beware.
