What to expect when you come to the West Maui:

Keep in mind everything north and south of Lahaina Town is intact. That said most of of Lahaina Town is gone. So when you drive in via the Lahaina Bypass you will see some damage. Once you come down and get back on Honoapiilani Highway and go past Safeway (which is open) you will see what you have seen on TV. There’s nothing you can do but support those people now. House are being rebuilt albeit on Maui time but the re-birth is happening now!


We hear all the time how much people love Maui, how they leave a little bit of their heart in Maui when the leave, and how Maui allows their family to connect or re-connect. The truth of the matter is that Maui needs you now more than ever to come and support its people, its shops and its restaurants. It will be appreciated.

This explanation may help since Honua Kai can be confusing. The construction of the Luana Townhouses is 100% complete, Honua Kai is now 700 individually owned condominiums that belong to a Homeowners Association. Honua Kai is not a hotel. Every owner chooses to either use the onsite management which is now Outrigger or they choose an outside rental company (ORC). Outrigger is not the "Resort" they're just the onsite managment company. Now they own the front desk area and some other areas at Honua Kai, but all guests have access to the pools, restaurant, stores, Spa, fitness center and concierge


Please take a look at our photos and you'll see that they are actual pictures of the unit and upon your arrival you will say that the pictures do not do this place justice. Also, know that this unit has the highly desirable 1315 sq ft floorplan. If you want to make your trip special this is the unit for you.


UPON DEPARTURE YOU LEAVE YOUR KEYS ON THE COUNTER AND GO.

-With us you rent unit Konea 707, you don't rent a category and find out what you get when you arrive at the front desk. With us you get actual pictures of the unit and the actual view from the unit.

-Free Internet Resort Wide

-No worrying about when the maid service is going to interrupt your day since we don't offer housekeeping.

-We personally see that this unit is cleaned to our high standards.

-Use of swimming pool, exercise room, and concierge service. We also provide beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, paper products and binoculars.

-Charge all resort costs on your credit card.

-Our Aloha Welcome Package which includes coffee K-pods, Chilled Champagne, Hawaiian Chocolates, Tommy Bahama Shampoo and Soaps.

-Either the bellman or I will greet you at the bell desk and escort you to the unit.

-We want you happy and we want you back!

-We are fortunate to Live Aloha everyday and our goal is for our guests to Live Aloha while they are our guests. Whether it's just another trip to Maui or the only trip you'll ever take to Maui, our mission is to make it special.


The bellmen are all real good guys that work hard that are ready to assist you with your luggage up to the unit.


There will be a $5/day charge to valet park(if valet parking allowed), but self-parking is FREE. Only one car per unit is allowed in the underground parking garage. This is subject to change.

We will accommodate free early check-in or late check outs when the schedule allows. Again, when the schedule allows. We understand that many flights arrive late morning and that many flights depart late at night.

The condo has everything you need for your stay. It has been very well kept up and for its age is in excellent condition. Joe was great to work with and was very responsive. We had an overall great experience.

We enjoyed our time here. The condo was great and has everything we needed, even some beach chairs and toys. The room was quiet. We didn’t hear neighbors noise at all. The resort is awesome. My kid loved to pool and walking distance to the ocean. Duke’s restaurant on the property is a plus. Joe (property manager) is very responsive and professional. We loved the food and enjoyed mai tai. We’ll definitely stay here and again and recommend this place to anyone.

Cannot recommend this condo or Honua Kai more! This is the perfect place if you like resort-style amenities but want the spaciousness and privacy of a condo. With two pre-teen/teen girls, having two bedrooms and two bathrooms was priceless. The condo was clean, spacious, well-equipped, and had beautiful views! I loved whale watching right from the amazing lanai. There were binoculars in the tv cabinet, but we could easily see them without as well. Plenty of towels and comfortable beds. The pool areas were perfect for our kids (15 and 12), and they enjoyed playing at the beach as well. We saw 5-6 turtles in the water just down the beach from us. Instructions from Joe were clear and thorough. You will not regret booking this unit!

This condo was paradise. The views were amazing. We often spotted whales in the distance, and it was so nice just to be able to chill on the scenic lanai. Don’t miss this one!!! Also, the host was very responsive, which we very much appreciated!

This property was an absolute dream! The view, the facilities, the service, the home- all a dream. The plush carpets and big rooms and bathrooms are very welcoming. The kitchen Is well equiped and we were so happy to find beach chairs and boogie boards to use. The BEST part of this property is the EXPANSIVE view of the ocean. Floor to ceiling patio doors that open from wall to wall were a highlight. Breakfast on the lanai was a dream. The linnens were a great quality and even the sofa bed was comfortable. The furnishings are high quality and there were plenty of seating options to kick back and relax. We liked the property so much we hope to visit again. Understandably, there were some adjustments we had to make due to the devastation of the Lahaina fires (shortened hours of operation and one closed pool and limited self parking) but everything went so smoothly. Honua kai is close to Times grocery store and most of the restaraunts were open including the general store/gift store. The grounds are beautifully maintained and right on the gorgeous sandy beach. Dukes restaraunt is right on property and services the pool and all 3 meals. Thanks! We hope to visit again soon.

We could not have been happier with our stay at the Konea on Kaanapali Beach. The unit was luxurious and perfect for two adult couples with master suite for each of us. The view from the balcony was spectacular. The condo is perfectly equipped for cooking and lounging. There were beach chairs, cooler and other beach supplies for kids. Joe was very helpful, providing us important tips for navigating the airport, car rental, dinner reservations and scheduling activities. He checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed when we checked in. There were no problems during our stay. This is an awesome location, property and unit hosted by a superb host. We had a 5 star vacation in a 5 star condo.
