These cottages are not fancy, but clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for your boat trailer and public ramp just around the corner. We have 2 cottages on this property. This is unit #2 which is a 2 bedrooms with 1 bath (see below for layout).

The place is in a great location, close to key west and other attractions. However, the place is outdated and it didn’t look like it was recently cleaned; it was good for what we needed which it was a short family vacation down in the Keys.

The place was dirty, the front sliding door wouldn't lock properly so they put a PVC pipe in the track to act as a lock. Host was rude. Was supposed to have a kayak for my stay and only ended up getting me one for 2 days and I was there 6 days. Overall don't waste your money
because it's a scam!

I stayed in cottage number two closest to the water.. We arrived early and we're able to get early check-in, which made our life a lot easier. The cottage had all the necessities.. Grocery store is very close.. What I really enjoyed about this cottage. Was it was secluded And clean.. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who was looking to get away from the daily life

Sunrise Cottage #2 was a perfect spot for our family of 4. The location can’t be beat and the water access would’ve been prefect, if it hadn’t have been so windy. Whoever recommended Horseshoe Beach was a lifesaver, it was a perfect protected area for us to snorkel. We felt that the house was a comfortable size and nicely equipped with new appliances. Very comfortable! A few reviews mentioned the house being in disrepair, it was not bad at all. It actually was nicer than some of the older Florida cottages we have stayed in. Lots of character and a great price point. We will be back!

Location is great, but house could use a little work. Bathroom is located attached to the main bedroom so everyone has to go through that bedroom to use the bathroom.
AC is 3 window units, they worked OK, but the one in the main bedroom was louder than the others. Also the cool air does not make it to the kitchen, it can get warm in there.
Ceiling is caved in a little in the main bedroom.
And you can't close the bedroom door on the twin beds room.

The rental is a small, old beach bungalow from several decades back. It has been added to and modified over the years, keeping it fun and funky. This unit has 3 window a/c units - one in each bedroom and one in the livingroom. The a/cs worked great, but as someone from a cooler climate, I'm not sure how well they deal with hotter summer days and nights. Nearly all of the appliances are new or nearly new. As noted, it is one of two buildings on the property and the closest to the water. I say the water, because, like much of the keys, there isn't a sand beach, just dirt and rock, then water. For my wife and me, the location was perfect. We prefer to stay in one place and venture out from "home." Little Torch is about 40 minutes from Key West. We drove to KW a couple of times, including to catch the boat to Dry Tortugas National Park - a trip I highly recommend (buy your tickets early; they sell out). The host, Susan is great and very responsive. I'm not sure I'll make it back to the keys, but if I do, I'd happily stay here again.

Listing is accurate. Relatively clean atmosphere. All appliances work great, and the AC wall units were a savior. Beds were clean, and so was the bathroom. It was really nice to have the basic kitchen equipment (pots, pans, forks, knives, spoons, cooking utensils). You need a place to sleep and relax after a day in the sun this is the place for you, and not breaking the bank at all! About a 40 min drive to Key West which in all honesty isn’t that bad since there’s lots to see to and from. It was sad to find out DoorDash couldn’t go to the home, but there were a few grocery stores within a 10-15 min drive.

This was a great home base to see this beautiful place. The kayaks and life jackets were not available when we went, but otherwise the cottage was equipped as advertised. Would recommend staying here to friends.

Great location on the water. Small place but very comfortable. The only caveat is the bath is en-suite to one of the rooms, so you have to walk through a bedroom to use the bath.

Just returned from a wonderful week in Sunrise Cottage #2. Everything was exactly as described and pictured in the listing. It was perfect for us: close to everything we wanted to see and do, but tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, with water access in the backyard and a restaurant in walking distance.
The sunrises are spectacular from the couch or outside. We used the kayak, swam and floated in the calm, clear water. Yes, there are rocks - bring water shoes. Cottage is cute and nicely decorated (count the craft eyes on the wall art - adorable!). Plenty of seating inside and outside, lots of storage space. Kitchen is well equipped. Grill worked fine. We ate one or two meals at the cottage daily. Kiki’s Sandbar is an easy walk down the road and has live music in the evenings.
The location is perfect for everything lower keys. Easy drives to Key West and Marathon Key. Enjoyed the beaches at Bahia Honda State Park - walk to the top of the bridge for fabulous views. Snorkeled for first time at nearby Horseshoe Beach with a snorkel set bought at local Winn Dixie. Saw lots of fish and loved it!
The owner was quick to respond to the one question we had about turning on the shower. (Pull the knob out - pull hard.) No other issues. Great little cottage and highly recommend.

The sunrise pictures were great. The tub dripped the whole time. Easy fix ifgot the plumber to do it. The kitchen sink faucet was loose. When it rained major mud puddles. Minor problems to fix. The location was excellent. It was clean and we enjoyed it. But like I said some things need fixing.

The view was amazing and being right on the water was great! However, cleaning crew was still onsite 2 hours after check in time. The chemicals used to clean we're overpowering and made us feel sick. The pictures online don't tell the truth of the place. While it was cozy and efficient for sleeping, the kitchen and bathroom left a lot to be desired. There are barely any dishes and we weren't able to cook much at all. We couldn't get the shower on and once we did, it was so old I felt we would break it every time we used it. All in all we enjoyed our stay because of the location, but feel the cost was not reflected in the home.

We loved our stay here in the Keys. This place had all we needed and beds very comfortable. The Tiki bar down the road was our favorite place to eat and ride our bikes up for an afternoon Margarita. Thanks for allowing us to stay.

This location is dated and not as modern as others in the area, but for the price, it did not disappoint. The price was probably 40%+ less than other smaller properties with less room, but way worth it. I know I got a great deal.
I was by myself, so it was larger than what I needed but I sure wasn't going to say no to this deal. Fully functional everything, except I couldn't figure out how to turn on the overhead kitchen light/fan, maybe that was just me.
The only thing I wish it had was a simple outdoor dining table, even a picnic table would have been cool to sit outside and enjoy the view while having a meal. A dedicated small BBQ as well as there are 2 units on the property with one BBQ between the two.
Other than that, a great experience with the manager, very quick to answer questions when asked.

The cottage is clean and conveniently located. Air conditioner in master bedroom was very loud but it did keep the room cool. A little disappointed that there was only 1 kayak available as we would have enjoyed exploring the shoreline. We would come again.

The cottage was in a great location and super clean with everything u need from kitchen pots and pans, utensil, dishes, towels etc but the only critique I would give is that the property manager needs to clean out the back yard mangloves bushes as they are blocking the water view and the water access. Other than that, i really really enjoyed it.

Property needs work. Window A/C units are very loud. Kitchen gets very hot during day. I brought my own industrial fan because of a review I read about property that said it was hot and yes it was. Ceiling in main bedroom looks like its going to fall on you. Otherwise comfortable and perfect location. Restaurant in walking distance,Bahia Honda only couple miles away. Grocery store and pharmacy near by.

So the camp (and let's stress that word not house or cottage) was cute but very rough. The exterior wood siding and stairs were rotted. The master bedroom was separating from the house (the floor sagged as you walked into the room and the ceiling was bowed in in two places). While basically clean, the rot on the outside made the back steps fairly unsafe.
We were there in late March to Early April and they daytime highs were in the mid 80's. The kitchen of the unit was unbearably hot and the rest of the unit was just barely tolerable. They just have 3 small window ac units, and those hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. I took the filters off and cleaned those, the metal cooling unit fins, and the fan vent as best I could, but there was visible black mold inside the unit and you could definitely smell it. We had no choice but to run the units and even with all 3 going, you were just able to keep it comfortable. It is unlikely to to be someplace you can comfortably stay from May to October.
Also, we didn't know this going in, but the range and the dyer and a wall heater were all propane, but we didn't see a carbon monoxide detector nor did we see a flammable gas leak detector. Those are all required by law in rentals with propane/gas appliances where we are from, and just a good idea in general. We didn't have issues, thankfully, but it was a bit unnerving all things considered.
I would add that the owners do appear to be working on both this camp and the smaller one right behind it - they share the lot and are only about 50 feet apart with shared outside picnic area. So maybe in another year or so some of the issues will be addressed.

Great location, restaurants are close by, the place is perfect for a small family or small group out to fish (in my case) or enjoy the lower keys. Quiet, peaceful and a beautiful night sky. Close enough to Key West or Marathon to accommodate any tourist stuff, but also off the path enough to feel a true keys experience. Will diffidently keep this place on mind for future fishing or quiet get aways.

The house was fine but there is no central air conditioning, only window units which did not cool off the entire house. We closed off the kitchen area to keep the living area cool. I do not recommend this location if you are hot natured or not use to Florida weather.
