About this house rental
This Chic style home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is part of Sunrise Beach Resort, an exclusive gated community built in 2007 with only 10 other homes. Our home is fourth from the waters edge facing Southwest. Lounge in your private hammock or enjoy the gorgeous tropical landscaping and cool breezes on one of two balconies, dock or poolside, where you can soak up the sun steps from the house. The property also features it owns little sandy beach perfect for sunbathing. Breathtaking southwest views of the blue-green ocean can be seen from the balcony off of each bedroom.
Your boat, up to 24 feet, can be kept at the dock for your entire stay in the calm waters . Looe Key and American Shoal Reef can be seen from the house where you’ll find the most beautiful snorkeling and diving reefs in the keys, along with the excellent fishing. Fish or kayak right off the end of the dock or you can venture out to experience the history and action in Key West located only 17 miles away. In the immediate area you’ll find several very good restaurants, a gym/wellness center, and Cudjoe Garden’s Marina, a full service marina. The only 18-hole miniature golf course in the keys is located five miles away. Bahia Honda State Park and the Dolphin Research Center, which offers dolphin encounters, are other area attractions.

Quiet seclusion with easy accessibility to Key West

The property is as shown in the pictures. It is well maintained and supplied (although we were one short in wash clothes with three for the four of us) with everything you need to cook meals and had plenty of towels otherwise.
There was a minor issue in the kitchen, but it was quickly taken care of. Communication with the owner was excellent.
It was a short drive to the grocery store and about half an hour to Key West so very well located for a good time in the southern Keys.
We also enjoyed the pool so all in all a very pleasant visit

Unfortunately, I had the bad experience of choosing this property as a destination for a mini vacation with my wife, two babies and family.
First: On the website at the time of booking it says one price for cleaning fee and the property manager writes to me before going in a text message asking me for information about the guests who were going to go and he told me that the cleaning fee was much higher than what was on the website, when I confronted him, he told me that it was an error on the reservation website.
Second: The property manager used the security cameras to watch us the entire weekend and send us messages and calls offensive.
Third: The pool is extremely small, believe me when I say extremely small, it only fits a maximum of 6 people, total disaster.
Fourth: Be careful with the bicycles because you can fall because they are all rusty and out of maintenance.
Fifth: The sleeping mattresses are extremely uncomfortable, but very uncomfortable not from a reservation as expensive as it is plus the cleaning fee expensive.
Sixth: Make sure you bring garbage bags because there are none.
I found an opinion from another customer in internet in the address of the place who had the same thing happen to me with this property,the property manager makes excuses to collect your deposit.

Location was great to Key West as well as access to grocery stores. The view from the dock was spectacular. The pool was a bit small but it was not a problem as there were not alot of guests in the pool at one time. The door handle to the oven was quite loose but Melanie got it fixed quickly. Some other minor problems were the following: the clicker to open the gate didn't work, the door lock worked for 2 days but then stopped working, the can opener didn't work which was an issue because we needed to open several cans for a dinner we were preparing(luckily our friends who were staying there had a working one), there was a pan for use in the kitchen that was very scratched up which was not healthy to use and the internet worked about 50% of the time. The temperature in the condo was perfect the entire stay. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this unit.

This property is in a great location in the FL Keys. The space was clean and well-appointed with everything you need for a great stay. The grounds are well maintained have access to the water and a very nice pool area. We enjoyed the kayaks and fishing on the dock. Restaurants are a very short drive away. Host was the most responsive and attentive of any similar property we've stayed at. This is a great pick for a family vacation in the Keys!

Beautiful and quiet location. Close to Key West yet just far enough to be away from the crowds. Family thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything is as pictured and immaculately clean, truly a gem. Melanie was friendly, always available and always responsive.

The property and townhouse were all very nice. If your wanting to go to Key West multiple times during the week, this location is a quick 21 miles. Townhouse was very accommodating for two couples. Pool and tiki patio areas were all clean, plenty of seating, and quiet. Only con would be bicycles need attention due to flat tires. We would book this property in the future.

Everything was perfect. Just like the description. We selected this property because of the boat dock and it’s only a short drive to Key West. We took an 18ft boat and it worked out great. We can’t wait to come back.

Overall the property clean. Advertise gated community. We stayed 20 days and not at anytime was the gate working. Advertised 4 bikes, 2 bikes had flat tires, 1 was for someone very short and 1 worked. Owner locks the thermostat at 73. It is 80 outside and your bedrooms are 3 stories in the air. Not the most comfortable. We paid a lot of money and she controls a lot. Also, claims to have sensors on things so she gets notification if smoke detector goes off etc…Note on the door and notes on the walls. Refrigerator drawers are useless because you can’t get the refrigerator open because of wall.
High cleaning fee if $250. Everyone I talked to there had a $150 to 180 fee. Owner wants you to stay but controls your stay.

Great location, easy to travel to Key West or nearby Keys. Many great restaurants nearby. We loved the Square Grouper. Also loved visiting the State Parks. Highly recommend this location. We fell in love with the Florida Keys.

This was a recommendation from John who owns several condos at this location. I actually stayed in his unit, 2 of my sons and their families stayed in this unit. Cgeck-in was a little rocky. We were in our unit and my son and his wife were not able to get in this unit as they were told they had to wait until propert checkin. They had traveled from California with an 8 month old. Communication was not good other than that things were great.

This was the perfect balance between the convenience to Key West and the escape from it. Only about 25-30 minutes from the KW, but far enough to escape the bar and street life. We at dinner every night in the Keys, fished in Big Coppit and relaxed on our private beach.

Wonderful property! Everyone enjoyed the stay and had fun snorkeling for lobsters! Melanie was very responsive to any questions I had and helped make our stay worry free.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway, quiet, relaxing, and much-needed. if you’re looking for nightlife key west is only 30 minutes away. If you enjoy the peace and quiet the little resort was perfect. My only complaint would be the beds. Both beds were very loud and uncomfortable but that’s just my personal preference.

The house was clean and the location was nice. The pool was clean and had furniture for use.
Great views of the sunset and sunrise. Grocery store was close by. Found some places to get shells, it was a bit of work. We did find a place with a lot of conch shells. We also stopped at a park just before the bridge leaving Cudjo Key and founs some nice shells (few). There was a pair of flamingos in the marsh just past the house complex, you could see them early in the morning and just before sunset/dusk. So awesome.

The property was well maintained. We did have an issue with the freezer in our unit but Melanie was very quick to respond and worked on getting it taken care of. The kayaks and the pool were everyone's favorite! The pool was kept at a perfect temperature! I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again!

Our stay at this Cudjoe Key home was excellent. The house was very clean, and well appointed. All we needed to bring was food. The house is very comfortable, and relaxing. It's location was perfect for access to KW, and many orher activities in the area. The owner was very helpful, and great to communicate with. I highly recommend this home.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was super clean and neat and well stocked with kitchen supplies and extra sheets and towels and pillows. We were comfortable here right away. View from top balcony is beautiful. Kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and taking the kayak out at sunset. Great location away from the busyness of Key West but close enough to drive there every day. Owner was so easy to communicate with. She responded to any question I had within minutes which is very much appreciated. We would stay here again.

Just a short drive into Duval street & surrounding keys!! The community is well kept & the condo has all the essentials we needed for our stay!!! So much fun!!!!

We had a long day of travel from the west coast to Miami. One piece of luggage was delayed. We didn't get to the property til 11pm or so. There was no water. We contacted Melanie for suggestions. There was a water main line break and no one had water in the lower keys. She brought us bottled water first thing in the morning.
The accommodations are everything you need. Neighbors are so friendly. Would stay there again!!

Enjoyed our stay. Clean accommodations. Good location. Pool was small, well maintained. Tiki hut was relaxful. Bikes were old, tires needed air. Bring laundry soap, expected to wash beach towels, but there is no soap. After checking out, received text from manager, accusing us of having more that 2 people, because both beds had been used. We only had two! We have never rented a house, where you were not allowed to use the whole place. Confusing!

Beautiful comfortable condo on the water in Cudjoe Key. Condo was very spacious & comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. High speed internet too! Nice small pool. Newer little pier. Parking available for boats but just know how to navigate cause water is shallow. 4 kayaks to use which was great for paddling around mangroves. Saw a baby bull shark & a 4’ nurse shark! Covered tiki hut and nice outside chairs on water. Park underneath house. Outside table for 6. We felt it was a great location. Not in the business of Key West but just a short drive. Owner even dropped off a key lime pie!! Nice stay!
