Your tropical tranquil oceanfront vacation home is just feet from the Caribbean waters, and far away from the maddening crowds and the bustle of tourist-saturated areas of the world. While you sunbathe you can enjoy the ocean breeze and be mesmerized by the turquoise Caribbean waters and sapphire surf only feet from your door.
Cayman Brac is a sister island to the highly developed island of Grand Cayman and has managed to remain unspoiled, making it the perfect antidote to the over-programmed resort vacation. Explore the island’s many hidden treasures while relaxing in your own private retreat. Whether rock-climbing, caving, shelling, diving, fishing, snorkeling, bird watching, hiking, walking the shore line or simply relaxing is what you desire, you will have a vacation to remember. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the laid-back island pace in a thoroughly modern and comfortable house that will immediately become your home.
Listen to the never-ending rhythm of the gentle rolling waves and feel the cooling breezes as you enjoy the warm sunshine and stunning sunsets any time of the year. There is plenty of privacy and you'll enjoy the small yellow songbirds and the island's native brown booby and frigate birds that seem to enjoy the lush, tropical surroundings. The visibility in the water is incredible and the coral reefs endless. The low temperature of the water in mid winter is 78F so you can swim all year long. We call Cayman Brac 'detox from life'. The most difficult part of your vacation will be packing your sandals and leaving this absolute tropical paradise and the fine comfortable accommodations of the house.
This oceanfront beach property overlooks the Caribbean and Little Cayman and has access to some of the best diving and snorkeling in the world. Rebuilt and remodeled in the fall and winter of 2009, its 1,700 square feet offers hardwood floors, all new fixtures, furnishings, and appliances as well as a full kitchen and living room with a large flatscreen television with RGB and HDMI connections, and high speed wireless internet. This unit is equipped with all the amenities one would expect from a finer home.
Stretch out twenty feet from the water on a lounger or hammock in the 360 square foot beach cabana with thatched roof. BYOB.
Swimmers, snorkelers, and scuba divers can take advantage of the outside shower, freshwater rise tank, and dive equipment drying rack.
If you’re vacationing with friends but still want your privacy these units are perfect because you'll be close when you want and still have the privacy when you desire it.
Stores are closed on Sunday. If your arrival is after 6:30 pm on Saturday or on Sunday we'll do your grocery shopping for you - just send us a list, there is no charge for our time.
For your convenience I have also arranged a special deal with a local car rental agency for those who might desire it. For those who will be renting for seven days you will get your seventh day free. Additionally, if you pay with traveler’s checks or cash you will receive a 5% discount.
Bicycles for pleasure use (not as primary transportation) come with the property rental. You can also use the kayaks, snorkeling gear ($50/week) and more.
Outside ring cameras are used for your security on the street side facing the street capturing video of activity such as cars entering the property. There are no cameras inside or outside. The cameras light up (a turning light ring) so you can see easily see where they are located.

Constant surveillance and intrusion from the host and his girlfriend living in the adjoining property. Turns up unannounced smoking from our sun loungers, diving with his friends from our property. The washing machine was inspected daily to see if we were utilising a full wash, blamed for causing damage to his pool that was already there. Doors on property wouldn’t lock, informed on Day 1, never fixed, we were told they don’t need to be locked. The host is paranoid about how much the electricity and water is costing him, then finally evicted us on the last day, after breaking a house rule he has invented. Constant harassment and threatened with the police. When I remained unconcerned about the police he decided to follow us around the island. Creepy!

My fiancé and I wanted a quiet getaway and came across this place. There isn't much to do on the small island but everyone was very friendly and it was very safe.

We came to scuba dive and climb as a family. Location is perfect for Brac Scuba Shack. Henry was very responsive and helpful in renting a car and making recommendations for the area. Sasha bought groceries for us so the kitchen was stocked. They both checked in on us. The location is quiet. Perfect get away from crowds and noise. Ocean is the backyard. The pool and hammocks are shared with a connected suite. I cooked every evening except one. The kitchen has all you would need. One of our favorite family vacations!

We had a wonderful five days as this fabulous spot. Henry and Sasha were very welcoming and the house had everything we needed. The location is truly spectacular with a constant breeze from the sea and plenty of places to sit outside. It’s also close to a supermarket and restaurants. We loved Captain’s Table and Le Soleil d’Or. This was a great place to be based to explore the island and Henry helped with a car rental from 4D’s. We all loved it and hope to return.

We loved secluded sunsets! It was a perfect location with everything we needed to get away and spend quality time with family and friends. Henry and Sasha are great hosts!

Our group consisted of rock climbers, scuba divers and snorkelers. Stayed here 1/15 - 1/21/23. Secluded Sunsets was great. There are actually (3) separate dwellings on the same property, we stayed in the largest one. People on the island know Henry (owner), Henry can help with whatever you need to know about the island. Great location, close to everything except the rock climbing. Great place to stay on Brac

Outstanding rental home
Three couples stayed a week. This property had everything you could possible need -- fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, water toys, even laundry detergent for the washing machine! The pool and cabana down by the beach was excellent as well. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

Amazing island getaway!
Beautiful property with lots of great extras and amenities! We had a wonderful stay. Entering the water right off the property was more difficult than we expected, but there is plenty of easy access for swimming/snorkeling nearby.

Perfect Island Getaway
We enjoyed everything about our first trip to Cayman Brac, especially the beautiful setting of Secluded Sunsets. The accommodations were excellent! We spent leisurely days exploring the island, snorkeling right off our beach, cooling off in the pool, riding bikes, and tasting the local cuisine. After dark the stars were amazing. Our friendly neighbors the week of April 6th made our trip even more fun! We also met several locals who were happy to tell us about island life. We all agreed this was the perfect island getaway for us and would definitely go back! Thank you Henry and Sasha for your hospitality.

Best "ski vacation" ever!
Typically we head west to go skiing as a family every winter. This year we went south. Best decision EVER! Sasha was fabulous, the house was perfect, the snorkeling was great, and a good time was had by all! We highly recommend this for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and just sit back and relax.

Great place right on the water!
We really enjoyed our stay at Secluded Sunsets! While the beach is rocky getting in, some of the best snorkeling lies right in front of the house. There is a fun pool to enjoy along with kayaks, bikes, and stand-up paddle boards to use. We loved the croquet with coconuts. It is a great place for the price and offers a lot to do. The interior accommodations were very nice and we were very happy with our stay. We will certainly be back!

Great relaxing week!
The pictures are right on! Our family of 5 stayed over the week of Christmas. We rented a car for the week and toured the island. The caves were very neat to explore with the kids. It was a bit windy so we were not able to take out the kayaks. We did get to snorkel a few of the places on the island though later in the week. We enjoyed playing coconut croquet and swimming in the pool.
Sasha was great! She met us at the airport and we followed her back to the house. She then pointed us to the local store to pick up a few groceries, and then to the Captain's Table for supper. She stopped throughout the week and made sure we had everything we needed.
Barracuda's is a great place for pizza! Also don't forget to stop for jerk chicken at Barry's. The fish dinners at Coral Isle Club were delicious too. There is not much open on Cayman Brac on Christmas or the day after, but Reef Divers does offer lunch and dinner buffets. You can also order other food off the menu.
The local people are very nice and it is a safe island.

Awesome Property
This property was great. Highly recommended. Very large. Nice amenities, well kept and great service. Property rep met us at airport and escorted us to the property, providing a walkthrough of the property. Ocean side pool area was amazing. Property is private and quiet. The snorkeling directly off the shore is among the best we’ve experienced in the Caribean, endless coral and sea life. Better shore snorkeling than Grand Cayman. Short drive from grocery store, airport and restaurants. Island is amazing with beaches, caves and snorkeling. Recommend renting a car. Traffic is non-existent, making driving a breeze.

Best Vacation EVER!
This is our second time staying at Henry's place. We do not get to take vacations often but would always choose Secluded Sunsets as our time to get away for complete relaxation. Henry and Sasha are there to make you feel like a star with the exceptional service. They provide so many little extras that make the trip so special. Thanks for a great time once again!

Great Vacation!
We are two couples that rented the two bedroom unit for two weeks for a midwinter getaway. The owner, Henry, was very easy to work with and prepared us ahead of arrival for a great first stay on Cayman Brac. He arranged for our rental car so that it was waiting for us on arrival and his assistant, Sasha, was also at the airport to greet us and escort us to the property.
Sasha is a gem and a wealth of information about the island. She checked in on us almost everyday to see if we needed anything, arranged a wonderful complimentary sunset boat ride and also cooked a delicious meal for us. She recommended restaurants and activities and gave excellent directions to all. She is a lovely person and we really enjoyed her company.
The house had everything that we needed for a relaxing vacation. The pool is solar heated and Sasha does a great job taking care of it. The two bedroom unit is spacious and well maintained.
The island itself has many beautiful dive and snorkel sites and many of them have clean showers and rest rooms, which was a nice surprise.
Our favorite restaurant was Captain's Table and our waiter Casey was great. Be sure to go to Pioneer Bakery for fabulous fresh bread, rolls and meat pies.
All and all, we had a wonderful vacation, and we hope to be back at Secluded Sunsets again.

Total Relaxation!
We rented Secluded Sunsets for two weeks for a mid-winter get away from the cold and snow of New England. It was everything we were looking for. Even before coming to The Brac, Henry prepared us with lots of information to prepare us for the best vacation. Sasha, Henry's assistant, greeted us at the airport, drove us to the house, and gave a brief overview to help settle us in since we arrived after 8:00 pm. She returned the next day and was a wealth of information of dive sites, restaurants, shopping, caves and just about everything else that is on the island. It was nice that she checked in most days to be sure we had everything we needed. The house had everything we needed. We had brought quite a bit of food with us, but took advantage of dinners at the Captain's Table and the Buccaneer. Thank's to Sasha, we also found the Pioneer Bakery, which we went to just about every day! The house was set up with everything we needed for our meals, and enjoyment. The pool, shaded deck, hammocks, and bicycles were what we were looking for to enjoy the warm sun. Snorkling out front was great, although we were hit with high winds and could not snorkle there as much as we wanted. We were able to find wonderful sites throughout the island that exceeded our expectations. The special treats of Sasha's wine and cheese sunset cruise and the dinner she prepared for us were wonderful!! The Brac is friendly, clean and very welcoming. We will definitely be returning next year!

This getaway has all of the amenities you could possibly want!
I was looking for a quiet retreat and that's exactly what I got. The house was supplied perfectly and the Catetaker made sure we had everything we needed for our stay in Cayman Brac. If there's anything you need, just ask- they're more than willing to help your stay be the best ever. I loved every element of the house - and now I'd like to bring my sisters with me for another visit very soon.

So Awesome we did return.
Well we did return as we said we would. A year to the day. It was like experiencing 'Groundhog Day' almost like we never left, and found things just as we had left them a year ago :-). Brought new guests this year with us. I had hyped it up so much that I was concerned that could it really live up to all I said it was. Well, they were not disappointed, or think I had over-sold the place. They loved it!

Great family vacation!!!!
Our family of five....dad, mom, sons 25, 22, and 19 had a great time at Henry's place on Cayman Brac. We had everything we needed and more than enough room for everyone. We loved the pool, being able to snorkel out in front of the house, beautiful sunsets (no green flashes), and many games of "corn hole". It was a very relaxing week!!! Thank you for your awesome hospitality...very easy to work with.

So awesome we already reserved next year!
This place was everything that Henry represents it to be and more. 4 of us stayed in the 2 bedroom unit. This place has everything you need to relax and enjoy the quiet seclusion of Cayman Brac. What a welcome break from Grand Cayman's hustle and bustle. We went diving, kayaked, and snorkeled, and took full advantage of the pool and BBQ's. I think my 80 year old parents read 5 books between them just lazing in the hammocks and around the pool. Even got Dad snorkeling in the 86 degree water right off shore of the property, and there is a lot to see in the water.
You cannot go wrong with Secluded Sunsets - Thanks Henry!

Best in the Brac
Having visited the Brac several times staying at different places, I knew when our dive group needed a non-resort place to stay, that Secluded Sunsets might fit the bill. We rented the entire house for two weeks and was it ever a vacation to remember. The pictures of the place do not prepare you for just how pretty the property is. You began to relax as soon as you arrived at the house. Our group consisted of both adults and kids, divers and non-divers. There was something for everyone at Henry's place. The kids loved the many games, open yard and beach. The adults enjoyed chillin under the Tiki hut, taking the kayaks out for a paddle and getting away from the rat race of daily life. Everyone enjoyed the pool with the sunshades making it usable all during the day. (While the breezes are nice, the sun will toast you to a crisp if you are not careful.) We mostly did shore diving from different places around the island using Brac Scuba Shack. Following Henry's advice, we brought some food and drink from the US and used the very well stocked kitchen for cooking most of our meals. While the island is small, getting around to the dive sites, bank, stores, caves and other places to visit would have been very hard without renting a car. Henry was a wonderful host and came by to check on us several times during our stay, answering our many questions with the knowledge of someone who has spent time getting to really know the island. The information Henry provided about the island and how to best enjoy our vacation was spot on and made this trip a delight. As members of our group have traveled all over the world, expectations were high, but Henry and his property exceeded this and I can see us coming back again.
If you are looking for a quiet place to get away from the rat race, enjoy some world class diving, spend time exploring a wonderful island and it's people or just relaxing in the sun, then Secluded Sunsets in Cayman Brac is for you.

Wonderful week on the Brac
We stayed 8 nights here, and found it a truly relaxing and easy holiday – just what we needed! It really felt like home, except warmer and way less hectic! I would recommend Henry’s place without reservations. There are plenty of other reviews if you want more details about the Brac, and what makes this island such a gorgeous and intimate destination for people who don’t like hordes of tourists and big hotels. Specifically about this house, we enjoyed: 1. Lovely snorkelling is only 50 steps from the front door. We saw multiple turtles, a ray, a giant barracuda and innumerable gorgeous tropical fish. It’s coral, not sand, so you need foot protection. Henry provided really good quality water booties as well as great fins and snorkelling gear. 2. The warm outdoor shower and pool were perfect for post-snorkelling swims, and for early evening drinks! 3. The shaded hammocks and long lounge chairs right on the beach were very comfy, and ideal for relaxing during the heat of the day. 4. The house is stocked with pretty much everything you could need, but wouldn’t actually bring on vacation – coolers, flashlights, bikes, an espresso machine, a hair dryer, binoculars, jigsaw puzzles, proper martini glasses, 100’s of movies, and even nailpolish remover and a box of emery boards to repair my pedicure! 5. The kitchen was really well set up, with great appliances and lots of dishes. We’ve rented cottages where you get exactly 4 of everything, so you’re always having to wash up, but here there was enough of everything. 6. The wifi worked really well. Henry had a little Bluetooth speaker too, so we were even able to listen to the NHL playoff game while sitting by the pool. (Go Habs!). 7. Sasha the caretaker was able to get us fresh fish when we requested it, caught the same day. How yummy!!! Fresh fish was not available at the grocery stores so this was a really terrific service. 8. Privacy and peace were amazing here. You can sit in the hammock and no-one will pass by. You share the grounds with only the few guests from Henry’s other units. We saw few if any other tourists at the various snorkeling sites, and we were alone on the lighthouse bluff to watch the birds. I could go on but I think I’m out of space. Thank you Henry for thinking of everything!!!

Awesome Rental!
This property was the most beautiful, scenic, private, and accommodating rental you could ever imagine... We traveled with 2 other families, and we each had adjacent units/houses, which allowed us all to be together, yet have our private space. Units have great open layouts, Large kitchens, access to private pool, and awesome secluded beach. Close to grocery and main resturants, and local dive shops. Near airport, but airport noise not an issue. Units have everything you could want, including bikes, snorkle gear, rinse tanks, wifi, laundry, and more. We had such a great time, we booked for yet another year (our 3rd year renting from this owner!). Best vaca ever!

Beyond What We Could Imagine
This place is truly amazing! Henry is extremely helpful and will help you with anything you need. The island is a poster card beauty. It is untouched by the gimicky tourist industry and droves of people, it is like being in a small town in the Caribbean! The scuba diving, snorkeling and beaches were sublime. You can rent gear and go anywhere, there are mooring balls all over marking great dive spots. We went with guys and a girl, and everyone loved this paradise and had so much fun stuff to do! Henry is very helpful, he will set the trip up to whatever you want to do or know and is very connected on the island. The house was clean, had everything we needed and was very spacious. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE! Cayman Brac is a paradise that is simply not found in the world anymore. If you are thing about going, go. It was one of the best weeks of my life.
5.0 / 5.0
If I could, I would give Secluded Sunsets a six star rating. Henry has done an incredible job with this rental. My wife and I returned from an incredible week in the upstairs one bedroom unit. When we first walked in to the unit, I knew right away we had found a gem. The living room and kitchen area is huge with a gorgeous view to the spacious balcony and Carbbean Sea. The appliances are all new and the stove is a gas stove - what an unexpected pleasure. The couch is very comfortable and there is a flat screen TV (which we didn't use) with a huge movie library. The wifi has a strong signal so keeping in contact with the family and business back home was great. There is also a nice selection of books on premise.
The bedroom was very spacious with lots of closet and drawers - not that we needed much because you bring only swimsuits and shorts. The bed was very comfortable as well. The air conditioning was set at 78º which was perfect for taking a little refuge from the hot sun in the midafternoon.
Outside, we had the big balcony to relax in the sun or read by the railing overlooking the waves crashing on the beach. The pool downstairs was a great addition to cool off. The weather was gorgeous. The only rain we had was during the night - each day was sunny and hot.
We are not far from the airport - believe me, it is not a busy airport. However, you must walk down the beach to the airstrip in the evening and lie down in the sand and wait for the 737 to come in on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The jet comes in and flies right over you as it comes in for a landing. It is something I have never experienced before. It is a must do while at Secluded Sunsets.
The sunsets here are beautiful.
Henry and Claire are wonderful hosts. Henry is a short distance away. When we arrived he was there to give us a tour of the Island, waited for us to shop for groceries and beverages and then personally showed us to the Villa. He had our car waiting at the airport, as promised. His communication before the trip was excellent. We even invited Claire and Henry to dinner to thank him for all the excellent service he provided on our behalf.
Yes, selfishly, I want to keep this place a secret so it would be available the next time I want to book. This place is amazing - no, it is more than amazing! I would go back in a moment. The diving, the sun, the solitude and the friendly atmosphere. Thanks Henry and Claire for a great holiday.

If you are seeking to find peace, rest, beauty, etc. you will not have to look any further. Sucluded Sunsets is just what the doctor ordered. Our stay here was amazing. From the moment we arrived at the home, we were satisfied and pleasantly pleased with our choice. The view is more beautiful than pictures can express. We were taken by the beauty of the property and the privacy. This is definitely a place you will want to return to again, and again. If searching for peace and rest, wanting to get away from the worries and responsibilities of life. Well, this is the place...Cayman Brac. The Island is very small, quiet, friendly, and a beautiful place to spend your vacation. I will definitely return to the Island, again for an amazing vacation. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this beautiful home and Island. Can't wait to return. Henry and Claire are the best!!!!

Henry and Claire were gracious hosts. Makes you feel like you have your own home in paradise.
Everyone was helpful, accessible and friendly. Great snorkeling right in front of the property!
Best sunsets ever! In a great quiet location with perfect views.
Every need was taken care of!
Highly highly highly recommended!

Let me know what you think and I will post
We were the first people to stay in the upstairs unit after Paloma. This is our 4th year on the Brac and of course we were staying at this wonderful property again. Henry asks every year what was missing, what would make things better, etc. Well after last year I jokingly said "well, a pool would be nice" - well guess what - he went and built a POOL!
We ended up staying in the two bedroom this year as we planned on entertaining a bit more. As we have now stayed in all 3 units - I have to say that each one is uniquely special and has it’s own specific benefits.
Unit 1 – One BR upstairs brings the views, the large deck and lots of sunshine.
Unit 2 – One BR downstairs has the easiest access to all of the outdoor features, a wonderful shaded area under the deck and the pool is just a few steps out the door.
Unit 2 – Two BR downstairs. This kitchen is well appointed and has plenty of room for entertaining, the layout of the unit is perfect and the den is spacious with plenty of seating and open area for hanging out with friends.
Henry and Claire are incredible hosts and are close enough that they are there if you ever need anything.
I can’t stress enough what it means to hit the ground on the Brac knowing we are going “to our other house” to unwind – because that is how it feels. Whether it’s the groceries in the fridge, the cell phone waiting for you or the DVD library – all of the comforts of home are there and you don’t spend half of your time wanting for anything.
The pool is just perfect. Hot sun, cool water – and the cocktails are just a few steps away whatever unit you are staying in!

This was our second week and we moved from Henry's 1BDR to his 2 BDR to accommodate them. In previous reviews I have stated how WONDERFUL this place is!!! Henry NEVER fails us! My husband's parents were also truly impressed with the beauty of Henry's place, the tranquility, the perfect Sunsets, the well stocked kitchen and refrigerator and with how Henry runs his rental property just in general. Henry will not ever lead you astray. He is honest and always aims to please. You can trust him!!!

I have to say my only disappointment was having to leave. Absolutely loved the house, the view, and the island and am very anxious to get back. The owner was extremely helpful with any needs and was just a phone call away (on a phone he provided for use). He had so many items for us to use it made packing much easier not to mention his fantastic suggestions and helpful information. I feel like we gained new friends that I hope to remain in contact with and see again soon!

I cant say enough about the the wonderful beach house rental vacation. Beach walks, snorkeling, caving, stargazing, exploring the island were some of our family's favorite things. A great dive destination, but oh so much more! The accomodations were amazing, and all of the extra things our host provided or recommended to us were perfect! Our family of four even enjoyed a wonderful day trip to Little Cayman which will be in our memories for a lifetime. I cant think that there could have been anything else that wasn't taken care of for us, or that we would have added, except for more time there!!

Secluded Sunset property is perfect for couples, friends, or groups. When my dive buddy and I walked into the house, after a very long trip from California, we just stopped inside the door and looked around, delighted. When renting a place unseen, you are never quite sure if the description will match the place; have no doubt with this one, it is even better than the photos show! The living room is spacious with room for any activity - games, visiting, dancing, reading - whatever. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat there - which we prefer - and Henry had the grocery items we requested already in the fridge! The place was clean, upgraded (granite counters) and a cell phone (people can call you there and not use your cell minutes).
We spent most of our days diving in the morning (the house has a storeroom FULL of water accessories from water shoes to motorized scooters to first aid kits to bug spray - anything you might have forgotten at home...).
Enjoy the sunset from the hammocks, chairs or patio - stunning colors and clouds - and let the peace settle upon you.
Henry seems to be on a personal mission to provide every item and any needed information/directions to make your trip memorable and without problems. You have many places from which to choose - but I guarantee you will be completely happy - even feel lucky - with Secluded Sunset!

We are a family of 4 (including 2 teenagers) and stayed in the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit that looked as good as the photos. The house was updated, well equipped and maintained. The location was private, yet near a commercial area and restaurants. We especially enjoyed the 'Buckaneer' cut out as a wonderful protected salt water pool near by and snorkeling just beyond the 'pool' at the cement pier. The DVD movie selection was super. It was all good!

By the time we got to the Brac I felt like I actually knew Henry. With all my emails of questions for months before arrival he was SO informative! The home was even better in person and had everything you need. Just pack bathing suits, sunglasses and flip flops! I've been renting vacation properties for years and by far this place is the best! We will be back in Brac, I promise. Thanks again Henry!
