About this house rental
Our large B&B-like house sits on a knoll overlooking Keuka Lake with an extraordinary view, especially at sunset. We have 120 feet of lake front with a large beach with a dock, table, chairs, fire pit and an excellent swimming area.
The house is nearly 2,000 square feet. We added two bathrooms (2.5 total) as well as a laundry room. The well-equipped kitchen has been recently remodeled.
Our house sits above the lake. To get to our lakefront and beach area, you walk down the driveway, cross East Lake Rd. and then walk down a wide path to the lake. East Lake Rd. is an access road, 1.5 miles long. It's a beautiful walking or biking road, with little traffic.
The front of the house is a covered porch with Adirondack chairs and a teak dining table. There is also a covered flagstone patio off the driveway.
There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms upstairs, including a 225-square-foot main bedroom. All three bedrooms have lake views as well as air conditioners. There are queen mattresses in two bedrooms. The third bedroom has a queen and two twin beds. We have two roll-away beds and a full-size, memory foam floor mattress. The den downstairs can be closed off and has a full-size sofa bed. There is a new half bath on the first floor.
We offer great offseason rates for our 4-season home. We are near numerous wineries, most of which stay open on weekends through the winter. In the spring you can often hear the sound of the creek flowing at the edge of our property. In the fall, the color around the lake is spectacular into early November. In the winter, our house has central heat and a gas-burning fireplace in the den. The view out our new picture windows is fabulous. We are less than an hour from Bristol Mountain Ski Area.
From our covered porch you can enjoy the ever-changing light off the lake. You can walk or bike the access road in front of our house, perhaps hiking up one of canyons into the hills above the lake, to some extraordinary waterfalls. You can walk or bike the trail that connects Keuka and Seneca Lakes. Or fish -- the area near our house is known as one of the best bass fishing areas in the Finger Lakes.

Great property for families looking for easy access to lake and surrounding areas. Host very responsive and helpful.

We had a wonderful vacation! Spent many hours fishing from the dock and swimming in the lake! Eben had a campfire at the lake and made smores and hot dogs over the fire.
Made all our meals in the well equiped kitchen ( bring along a few microwave safe plates for the microwave), played games in the den in the evening, and slept well in the comfy beds! Our granddaughter enjoyed the swing set! Was sad to leave and already planning our return trip!

Very nice dog-friendly home with a large porch overlooking the lake. The owner even put up the dog gates on the porch for us. The well-equipped house had a cozy feel to it and we felt right at home. Great yard with lovely gardens. Nice touches throughout with notes from the owner about the history of the area. We are already planning our next stay here!

Eclipse viewing was a bust (clouds); but the stay at this house made up for it. Great porch for lake watching and on cold days the big glass windows still made great viewing of the lake. House was just as advertised, well furnished. Owner was responsive to questions. A charming place.

Overall nice place. Lots of stink bugs all over the house. Huge hill down to the lake but pics make it look like house is on the water. Hair on be pillows. Broken railing.

Excellent communication with Tim. Description of property/photos clearly describes the rental property. We did have stink bugs and a lot of lady bugs, which is odd to me in 20 degree February, but Tim did offer to send over the cleaning staff to help get rid of them. We did fine with the little bugs, but just mentioning…. In case this is an issue? Seems to be a normal occurrence for the area. As far as cleanliness, the place was spotless. Mattresses have memory foam- and usually I don’t like that, but I felt the beds were comfortable. Only one tv which can be tough depending on your group - I had a teen and an 8 year old… and a dad that all liked the tv for different reasons, so we needed to compromise lol. I’m sure that’s in the listing description and I probably skimmed over it too quick. Because we came in the winter, we did use the tv. The location itself is amazing. The views are amazing. We brought our puppy, which was great. I appreciate you opening your home up to us!

The perfect place for a holiday visit with family! Everything was amazing. We had enough space for everyone but still had the cozy feel of home.

We lucked out with amazing 70+ degree weather in October! Of course, the East side location is unbeatable - the perfect view! The front porch faces the lake and has plenty of seating with a good sized dining table. And the owner is DOG FRIENDLY. We have stayed at this cottage a few times over the years. Each time we've thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tim, the owner, is very responsive to questions and provides thorough information about the property and the area. We had a relaxing, restful stay with our 2 pups.

We had an amazing long weekend at this property. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything that we needed. The view from the front porch was stunning and the water front beach was amazing as well. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the greatest but everything else about our stay was wonderful. Very close to wineries, breweries and distilleries. We had a fantastic stay.

Our family (age 5-92) stayed 2 nights while attending a family wedding at a local vineyard. The area is beautiful. The house is fantastic. It is well kept and maintained. Almost everything you could ever need was there in addition to all of the essentials. The house was spotless. The kitchen had everything necessary for preparation of all of our meals. We would highly recommend this house. Also- Tim is a great communicator and extremely accommodating.

We had an amazing stay! The house was perfect. Loved hanging out on the spacious front porch, playing games with family. Gorgeous view! Enjoyed the private beach area and a fire pit every evening. Kitchen well equipped with everything we needed for meals. I would recommend this gem to all.

This house is great. The beach area and fire pit are like having a private campsite right on the lake. Fishing was superb and we brought in 6 different species (catch and release) mostly right off the dock or general beach area. Thanks for a great place

This well maintained property was the perfect summer gathering spot for our family. The large porch with outdoor dining accommodated 8 adults and 1 school aged child well. Three bathrooms was also an added plus. Given the size of our group, the well stocked kitchen and new appliances were particularly appreciated. There was plenty of lawn space for outdoor play and the beach area was semi-private. All in all, a wonderful stay. We hope to return.

This house was everything we needed and more! We loved the location and the ability to tie our boat to the dock. We utilized all the “extras” provided with this property too, from the pack n play crib to the dog gates! Definitely recommend this property for a group looking to relax at the lake!

Beautiful lake view/s from rooms and front porch. Great location close to just about anything you may want. Stocked with items that you would have in your own house. Easy access to beach ( no stairs) which was perfect for our grandson and senior Labrador. House shows its age and no central A/C BUT did not stop us from having a grand old time.

I stayed here with my sister for a short week before Memorial Day weekend, and we had to start writing down the things we liked so I wouldn't forget when it came time to write the review. What a wonderful house, right off the bat! Wide pine floors, huge kitchen, more veranda than you'll know what to do with with adirondak chairs lining up. Now comes the free association: Fresh lilacs in vases on kitchen table and deck table, super soft, homey sheets, robin's nests right next to the veranda, beautiful, fresh bathrooms, all the pillows and blankets you want and PLENTY of towels and facecloths. Special touches everywhere, lots of quiet reading spaces, and dimmers keep the mood just right. Speaking of mood, a fire at lake level during sunset cannot be missed. My silly favorite----power strips everywhere. Very electronic friendly. Wifi is reliable. Definitely going back.

We have stayed on Seneca Lake and loved the environment there. Keuka Lake is a bit smaller but the town is friendly and the views were beautiful. This house was in the perfect area to visit the wineries and come back to relax around the fire pit at night. They are dog friendly and had plenty of space for my city dogs to roam. Overall an enjoyable experience for us all!

My group consisted of 4, 50+ adults. This was our first visit to the area. The house was neat and clean and well-equipped. We didn't want to leave the deck because the lake views from this property are amazing. But if you do decide to leave, there is lots to do nearby. This house is centered nicely between Hammondsport and Penn Yan and close to many great winery's and brewery's and not too far from the Seneca lake attractions, like Watkins Glen. Tim was great to work with, quick to respond and extremely accommodating. I very much recommend this home and this area. We will be back for sure!

From booking through to check out, everything about this home was perfect! We had 5 adults and 2 dogs along during our stay, and the home was spacious, clean and stocked with everything you could need! The beds were comfortable, and the two full baths were such a great feature of the house! The location can’t be beat; perfectly spaced between the e East side of the lake, allowed easy access to Hammondsport and Penn Yan, as well as Watkins Glen and the Seneca Lake Wine Trail!
Tim was incredibly accommodating, kind, and easy to communicate with! We were all so pleased with our stay, and hope to stay again in the future!

We decided to celebrate 35 years of marriage at the Finger Lakes, where we had planned to spend our honeymoon so many years ago but couldn't. So when we were recently given an opportunity to fulfill this long standing wish we jumped at it - and we couldn't be more pleased with our choice. We couldn't have asked for a more fitting property, better location, or kinder host. Tim was extremely gracious and accommodating and the property was so very cozy and comfortable, with provision for every possible need. We arrived the night of the first significant snowfall of the season and were blessed to awake to an absolutely picture-perfect view of the lake and snow covered hills surrounding this grand old home. We're looking forward to visiting again soon and bringing our whole family so they may also experience the joy this home helps to foster. Thank you Tim & Family for sharing your home with us.

We have stayed at this property a couple of times and hope to do so again in the future. The house has everything we need, and the owner is great to work with. The location is great for visiting wineries or doing lake activities. We enjoy having a meal or glass of wine on the large porch overlooking the water. At the end of the day, we also like the firepit along the waters edge. We will definitely return in the future.

Seven retired college friends enjoyed a fall reunion. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, front porch had plenty of comfortable chairs where we sat to enjoy a glass of wine in the late afternoon sun. Good location; only 45 minutes from Corning, 30 minutes from Watkins Glen and minutes from a variety of wineries.

The owner responded quickly to questions and concerns before and during the stay. Nice big old house. Kitchen well stocked with everything we needed. Porch access is off the kitchen for easy outdoor dining. Large, comfortable bedrooms. Air conditioners functioned well in the heat. Access to the beach is as described in the ad. Quiet. Very limited road noise. We would return.

We had a wonderful time at Tim’s house. The house was very clean and well stocked, and perfect for our group of seven (parents with 3 kids and grandparents). The kids all slept in one room which had 3 beds (queen and 2 twins). The location was perfect, right on the lake with beautiful views. The front porch was large with a oval table where we ate all our meals and sat outside enjoying the view. We loved the beach and private dock, the kids swam everyday (water shoes needed). We rented a pontoon boat in Hammondsport and kept it overnight at the dock. Overall we had a wonderful family vacation and plan to return next year.

The house is located right above the lake with a quick and easy walk down a path to the beach and dock area. The huge porch gives a spectacular view of the lake and perfect for morning coffee and evening dinners. The house easily accommodated nine of us - 5 adults and 4 children, ranging from 6 to 13. We spent most days on the beach/dock - lots of comfy Adirondack chairs. The kids loved the crystal clear water and had fun catching crayfish for our fishermen. Lots of snorkeling looking for treasures. We enjoyed a bonfire on the beach every night and watched the spectacular star display. The small access road was perfect for morning walks - hardly any traffic and it is posted at 15 MPH. There was a roadside stand where we daily bought peaches, jam, home made bread and an array of fresh vegetables. A wonderful vacation was had by all and highly recommend for a relaxing and fun time!

Great family vacation spot
We had a wonderful weeklong stay on Keuka Lake. The house was well equipped for a large group. Lakefront was wonderful and felt pretty private. The large porch accommodated all of us day and night. Kitchen was also well equipped to feed a crowd. Beds were comfortable enough and having 3 bathrooms was a plus. Swing set and sand box made it great for young children.
