Loved the location, great view of Circuit Ave. Will stay again!

Staying above Sharky's on Circuit Ave is an amazing way to visit the vineyard. This rental was spacious, comfortable, and convenient. We have spent time on the vineyard for the last 7 years with and without the family. This visit was just the two of us and we are very happy to have found this rental.
We were able to easily find parking along Seaview Ave, an easy walk to the apartment and it allowed us to leave our beach gear in the car for extra beach visits in Oak Bluffs. The front deck is nice to sit on in the evenings and soak up the energy on the street below, but as soon as you close the door the apartment is quiet. AC works well. Wifi works great. Walking to restaurants, ice cream, and morning coffee is super easy. Overall a great place to stay.

Great stay in the middle of all the activity in Oak Bluff. The neighboring shops and and restaurants are literally steps away and the staff at all were overwhelming welcoming. Owner was easy to do deal with and completely accomodating.

Larry was very helpful throughout our visit. The location for us was ideal because most of my party were visiting for the first time. We enjoyed the balcony porch that offered glimpses of the ocean and people watching. Everyone slept comfortably. The loft beds thrilled the kids. This place is flooded with light. Excellent, quiet stay. Would book again without hesitation.

This property was in a great location, very convenient to shops and the ferry boats to/from the island. The unit was clean, spacious, and as nice as expected. We were happy to have coffee provided for our two night stay!

Everything about this place was AMAZING!! Within walking distance to everything, very clean, quiet, and Larry couldn't have been a better host! We will definitely be staying again!

It was a pleasure staying here. Felt like living in a big city. You could hear the city street winding down at night and waking up in the morning many delightful sounds.

Stayed in 2nd floor unit #1–loved the huge deck above Circuit Ave. for relaxation and people watching. Lots of space, like a whole apartment! Awesome location. Bring earplugs for late night partiers at Sharky’s right below. Would definitely rent again, even with the nighttime noise. It was that comfortable! Easy walk to beach, too!

This was our second stay at this property- the first visit was many years ago in the 2nd floor unit with friends and this time we were in the 3rd floor unit. Both spaces- including the indoor & outdoor areas- are great. You can’t beat the location- so close to shopping, restaurants, beach and ferry. There is a grocery store & package store directly across the street. Coffee, ice cream and options for breakfast lunch and dinner or just cocktails are all within a very short walk, many with views of the water.
We did bring our car; we like to drive around the island when we visit and we had a lot of stuff to bring because we have a toddler, so from having visited before and knowing where we like to go we felt it would just be easier. There is plenty of free & overnight parking nearby, there was never an issue finding a spot.
Larry is so helpful and responsive- he makes planning the visit so easy and seamless so you don’t have anything to worry about on arrival. The units are both very clean and comfortable. I really liked the 3rd floor unit we stayed in this time, but I think it’s better suited for one couple, small group of friends or families with older children with the loft bed set up. The second floor unit has both bedrooms on the same level, so for us that’s the better sleeping arrangement with a small child. This wasn’t a surprise- Larry was kind enough to let me know that was the layout in the available unit when I asked to book so we could make sure it worked for us. There was plenty of space to set our son up with his sleeping bag in the main bedroom with us so it worked out fine.
I could go on but I don’t want to sell this place too hard; selfishly I want it to be available to us next time we plan a visit, we can’t wait to come back. This is definitely a happy place for our family now- weeks after our visit our son is still talking about “our purple house”. Thanks again Larry!

We have rented three different properties in Oak Bluffs and this was my boyfriend’s favorite and he is very picky. The owner did an excellent job with the layout and amenities. We were slightly worried about parking - even though we emailed with the owner and he was sure it wouldn’t be a problem. As he said, it was a non-issue. Everything was super clean when we walked in and everything was thought of. We didn’t need a thing because he thought of everything. Location was ideal, balcony and views were great. Cable was excellent for the full on thunderstorm day and table was great for games. We loved our stay here and appreciated Larry’s messages before arrival answering questions and then providing a fantastic FAQ for the house.

I stayed at this wonderful property over Labor Day Weekend and it was perfect! We loved that it was in the heart of oaks bluffs, only walking distance to shops and restaurants. With everything going with COVID-19 it was a perfect little getaway. Everything was clean and Larry checked in to make sure everything was great which was nice! Awesome spot would definitively stay here again!

What a great girls trip to celebrate my 50th birthday! Larry was so helpful in getting us settled. The property is located directly on the main street in Oak Bluffs. Best location ever! We were on the top level and the view was fantastic. The property had plenty of space for us. We shopped at the grocery store, which is directly across the street, for breakfast and found great restaurants all over the island for lunch and dinner. The kitchen was stocked with supplies. There were plenty of towels. I wish our time could have been longer. I would visit again and stay at the Historic Arcade Property any time!

We needed a last minute place to stay and feel grateful to discover this gem. We already had a car reservation, and Larry gave us great tips on how to get over a day earlier to take full advantage of the time available. But note- YOU DO NOT NEED A CAR for this extremely convenient apartment.( Many places say 'car not necessary' but they don't really mean it !)
Parking is on your own, but even though we were there during two big events in Oak Bluffs ( Illumination Night and the Fireworks) we were able to find free oarking the whole time.
You enter the building through a side door and face a grand staircase, a pleasant surprise . There are 2 apartments in the 2nd floor, which has a lovely landing and even a book case for summer reading. Another half flight to the 3rd floor, with a keyless entry system you can customize. There was a large party staying on the second floor but we only heard them if we were both out on our balconies, which overlook Circuit Ave. AND offer a 180* water view in the distance!
In addition to the front balcony, there is a side deck with grill and table. The apartment has a bedroom with 2 doubles as well as a loft with 2 twins. The raised ceiling gives the apartment a grand feel. It is spotless and well equipped with dishes, coffee maker, AC's, etc . You won't find previous renters ketchup or olive oil here- but then , Reliable Market is right across the street!
Larry was super responsive and helpful, even walking me through changing the code when I couldn't figure it out ( when it says 'hold the green button down, it means hold the button DOWN -LOL).
The only issue was getting lost trying to bring the car to the back door to pack up! The Campground Assiciation (gingerbread houses) is right in your backyard. But what is a great place to walk is a potentially confusing place to drive!

I was incredibly impressed with the my stay at the Historic Arcade Building. The location cant be beat since its is a five minute walk from the oak bluffs ferry as well as across the street from both back door donuts and the reliable market for shopping. The apartment itself was on the top floor and provided a gorgeous view of the ocean. The whole apartment was clean and in good shape. The owner of the property supplied a full email with all the necessary items for a smooth arrival and stay in Oak Bluffs. I am already planning my next trip and will definitely be staying at the Historic Arcade Building.

Great apartment for the 4 of us with a perfect downtown Oak Bluffs location. It cannot be closer to the grocery and liquor store. Night time was never noisy, the AC in the room was much needed as middle of July was steamy hot. Bathroom was a nice size and they provided shampoo and conditioner. Kitchen super clean and everything you need to cook with. Larry also provides beach chairs for his guests which was took advantage of! Cable worked great and the best deck in Oak Bluffs! We will be back.

This was my 4th weeks vacation in Oaks Bluff and this unit is byfar, the best! CLEAN, looked like a fresh coat of paint, updated appliances, comfy, comfy beds, air conditioned, supply linens, BIG front porch, second floor, outdoor grill, right across from the market and unfortunately also Back Door Donuts, Can't resist them once you get a whiff. If you are not planning on seeing the island, you do not need a car. I took mine and am helping MV financially via of parking tickets. There are no cons to this place. I would rent again in a heartbeat. The owner Larry is always reachable and pleasant. This was an A+ all the way.

I cannot say enough good things about our first stay at the Historic Arcade at Oak Bluffs property. We spent 4 days here and have never been more comfortable on vacation. We were a family of 4 with two kids ages 14 and 16, and we travelled with our small dog with the permission of the owner, Larry. We stayed in Unit 3 on the top floor at the property. It was spacious with a bedroom that had a full size bed and a twin bed. There was also a loft with a ship's ladder to climb up where the kids could sleep in twin beds. And there was also a futon couch in the livingroom so technically the place could sleep 6 people. The apartment was immaculately cleaned and comfortably furnished with attention to detail like many plush towels, a game table, beach chairs, chairs and a grill on the patio/balcony, and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen from plates to glasses to silverware to bottle openers, etc., etc., etc. No stone was left unturned. The apartment is located right on the main street in Oak Bluffs with convenient 24 hour parking a 5 minute walk away at the waterfront. We enjoyed the huge portion of the delicious nachos at Sharkey's restaurant on the first floor of the building on the night we arrived, and we did not hear any noise at all coming from the street below from our apartment at bedtime. I cannot say enough good things about this property. We recommend this location without hesitation, and we cannot wait until we have an opportunity to return.

For the past two years I’ve stayed at this wonderful apartment and am looking forward to another stay next year. It is perfectly situated on Circuit Ave within walking distance to everything. The large balcony overlooking the street is a great place to relax any time of day or night. The apartment is large, nicely furnished, and has all amenities including a large flat screen TV with cable and internet. Although it is an historical building, it has a modern kitchen equipped with full size appliances and an array of dishes, cookware, and anything else one might need. It is clean and well maintained. The keyless door lock is easy to use and you don’t have to worry about carrying a key. There is a restaurant below the apartment, but the noise wasn’t bothersome. The hum of the A/C muffled the sounds for sleeping, otherwise, I was on vacation in the middle of Oak Bluffs and did not expect complete silence. The owner is always accessible and has staff available should there be any issues.

The Historic Arcade building was the perfect spot for a vacation! The location was amazing right in the middle of Circuit Ave with many options for activities. The beach was a five minute walk! One of the highlights is its dog friendly and was able to bring my fur baby along for the adventure. I look forward to having other vacations here!

We have stayed at the Arcade Building apartments either four or five times... it has become our personal Island home. I can't say enough good things about the apartment, close to everything, cozy, well-appointed and the balcony puts one in the center of all that is special about Oak Bluffs. The only hassle is parking, especially in the summer on a weekend. I view this as a challenge and always take my keys when walking in the park or going somewhere - 95% of the time I get a better parking spot and the family sees it as a fascinating game. We cannot recommend the Arcade property too highly!

The Historic Oak Bluffs Property has the best balance and bang for your buck on Marthas Vineyard. I have stayed in other properties around the island and none of them are able to offer more than comfortable living arrangements, unparalleled access to downtown Oak Bluffs (including the ferry landing), and walking distance from the beach. Smartest rental on HomeAway. Period.

This is our fourth year in a row visiting the vineyard, and we always stay at the Historic Arcade Building. We like to be in the middle of the action, so we never have to drive on the island. Here, you are surrounded by everything Oak Bluffs has to offer: tons of great restaurants, shops, bars and even a concert venue are right outside the door. On top of it, just a short walk to the water will lead you to the MV bus stop that will take you anywhere else on the island. The location can't be beat.
Also, the owner of the property is better than anyone we've ever rented from before. He is extremely attentive to his units, and it shows. Everything is in working order, and if it isn't, it is fixed quite quickly. He has even installed a keypad door mechanism, so you never have to worry about bringing (and losing) keys at the beach, or worrying about who will get home first. This was a really convenient innovation for us and for those who are visiting the Vineyard with a group or family. The key code is created by you when you arrive, unique and easy to remember for your group and no one else has access.
All-in-all, be sure to book fast. We're already booked for next summer. Can't wait to get back to the Historic Arcade Building!

Second year there and it was our little slice of heaven. Very clean ..great grocery store right across the street, places to eat and drink right at your doorstep!
The green is beautiful,, buses to take you to the next town or south beach.. and don't forget to visit the best candle shop anywhere around,, Martha's vineyard candles ,, near the docks!
Cant wait for next year!!

This was our first visit to Martha's Vineyard, so we wanted a central location so that we could easily get to most places in Oaks Bluffs. This property provided that and more! It is right on the main street in the center of town! Easy walking access around town, to buses, and taxis if needed! The property was clean, spacious, and airy; the outdoor porches and indoor a/c were wonderful perks! And with free cable and internet...we were set for indoor entertainment. Wonderful stay at the Historic Arcade Property!! I have already recommended this wonderful apartment to friends, and would definitely stay here again!

We made the perfect choice staying here. We are a family of 4, with boys 7 and 4, and this apartment was the way to go in terms of the place itself as well as the stellar location. Anything and everything you'd want to do on MV is walkable. The beach is 2 blocks, the park is right there for kite flying, frisbee, or a picnic, all the restaurants, shops, arcades, and donuts (hot, back door donuts) you might want. It's also an easy walk from the ferry, so no car is necessary. The top floor has 2 decks perfect for eating outdoors, people watching, reading. When we were leaving, my 4 yr old said it best. "I'm going to miss our little apartment." We do! Don't hesitate to rent from Larry -- we had a perfectly relaxing and fun stay. (IF you have small kids, the 3rd floor may not be the best choice -- the loft is really high for kids 7 and under, I think, so we slept up there, which was fine. It was just a battle bc they WANTED to sleep up there. I might choose apartment 2 if I booked again while they're still little. Also, though a car isn't necessary, if you want to really tour the whole island with little kids, it is probably easier. The bus system is awesome for going back and forth bw VH, OB, and Edgartown, but the further points run on the hour and our little ones don't have the patience for that.)

I almost want to not tell people how great this place is so I can keep it to myself. Perfect location, super clean and comfortable. Sitting on the deck and having a drink overlooking Circuit Ave, its like being in your own private outdoor bar. I plan on staying here every year I can. Miss it already!
