This Super Clean and Super Cozy property is set back and located on the upper, back ridge portion of Old Mill Road in the ocean side neighborhood of McFarland Shore, in an area of one of a kind cottages and single family homes. And, next to the small fishing village of New Harbor, Maine. Nearby is the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, Pemaquid Beach, Rachel Carson Salt Pond, and the Wawenock Golf Course. Booth Bay Harbor peninsula is just to our south and the coastal cities of Camden and Rockport just to our north and Bar Harbor just beyond. Our cottage sits in an undeniably convenient mid coast location! Hike thru the nearby woodsy trails and see first hand seasonal sightings of deer, fox, wild turkeys, and of course, the usual array of more common creatures, such as chip monks, squirrels and prairie dogs. As well as, bald eagles and osprey, if you're lucky enough, along with the more typical woodland birds and sea gulls too. And, at nite, listen for the sounds of distant coyotes, hooting owls and the rustle of other creatures of the nite, in the nearby underbrush. By day, take the Right Of Way thru the Connor Rock Lot, a short walk away to the Atlantic Ocean. Sit back on the rocks and watch the lobster men retrieve their catch of the day. Or, simply enjoy the crashing surf and white caps on a windy day - see attached photos. Flower gardens and old stone boundary walls and woodlands surround the property, providing a sense of peace and natural abundance. Come and stay for a while. Every One is Welcomed Here!

My Mom and I very much enjoyed our stay at this property. It was by far the cleanest home I’ve ever had the pleasure of renting in the area. The hosts were very thoughtful in leaving some basic items for us that we discovered at check in. It made it so nice since travel day is so stressful to not have to worry about going right out to buy things for our first night. The property was a great fit for us as it was literally around the corner from where the rest of our family was staying. Very convenient. We have been coming to the New Harbor area every Summer for many years. This property was one of the best we’ve rented.
Thanks!

House is close to the Village great bakery, great little supermarket. We are eat inners. Lobster at wharf. Great fish market in Damriscotta. Curtis Meats in Warren has the very best of beef and pork and poultry products, BETHS has great fresh veggies and a strawberry shortcake to die for. We are not new to this area but this was a super clean home. Walk to beautiful views. Ride to many others. We are 82 and access, although a few steps, was pretty simple. Have just returned home to a hot and muggy greeting. Every night sleeping was in the 60s.

We were so happy with our stay in New Harbor/Bristol. The house is immaculate , well designed for two couples, and well provisioned.
Although a distance from Damariscotta and other towns, the house provided a good central point to access points north ( Rockland, Rockport) and south (Boothbay).
Early morning and late night walks on the "right-of-way" path to the ocean overlook provided stunning views!
Would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet, woodsy location!

The house is immaculate and stocked with all the basics, plus a few extras. Great location, great easy to get to all of the attractions in the area. Also very comfortable for a stay-at-home day. Very quiet wooded setting.

Loved the quiet location with easy access to Damariscotta, Boothbay, Pemaquid lighthouse and beach. Great dining nearby at several harbor piers. Day trips to explore mid-coast all at you fingertips. Beautiful path to Atlantic where one can enjoy the view sitting on the rocks. Excellent location and clean accommodations.

Met Expectations
In all areas the owners met and exceeded our expectations. Even though the owners had to deal with an out of town emergency, they kept in touch. The house is well maintained and clean. We had an awesome time!

Wonderful Vacation.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Clean, bright, well cared for. John went above and beyond to provide an exceptional location from which to explore mid-Maine coast. Communication/helpfulness was excellent.

Peaceful week.
A wonderful, clean and comfortable home to enjoy coastal air and peaceful surroundings. Convenient for exploring the local peninsula or taking day trips by car to towns, parks and beaches along the coast to the north and south.

Perfect Maine vacation home
This was the cleanest, best stocked rental property we have ever stayed at. The owners anticipated our every need, and included a few treats also. It is a very comfortable house with lots of outdoor space. The location is perfect for mid-coast day trips (puffin cruise, Farnsworth Museum in Rockland, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and more). We will be back!

Visit New Harbor
I just returned from a family reunion in New Harbor, ME. I rented this lovely cottage for the week and it was perfect for us.
The cottage is well appointed with newly done bathrooms which have great showers and a new kitchen and appliances.
It is both cozy and yet spacious. The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the house so the late sleepers never heard the early risers. There is a quiet den for reading and game playing. It also has terrific internet.
The gardens are lovely and, if you are a birder, there are plenty to see.
We enjoyed New Harbor, Pemaquid Beach, and Pemaquid Historic areas and Damarascotta.
This is a quintessential Maine area and the house is in a great location to enjoy it all.
John, the owner, could not have been more accommodating. I highly recommend staying at this cottage.

Impressive home and location !!
My wife and I enjoyed a weeks stay here for the 4th of July week. Everything was better than expected. The home is missing nothing and the location is fantastic. Very private and lots of airy space so close to the ocean that you can hear the surf hitting the rocky coast.
The owners are close by and very responsive to any needs you may have during your stay.
The Pemaquid area is a great location for a relaxing vacation. There is lots to do ( or not ). We enjoyed a short ride up to Camden for a lunch on the water, a boat ride to Monhegan Island for some leisurely walking along the picturesque coastline and a pleasant surprise to end at the Monhegan Brewery! Pemaquid Lighthouse, Pemaquid Beach, Pemaquid Harbor and Damariscotta Lake State Park are all close by and worth the time to take in.
We can't go back soon enough !
