simple & perfect for my stay - very central location, quiet bldg, restaurants just steps away, basic kitchen - very helpful host

I don't know if I can say enough good things about this lovely condo and the even lovelier hosts. Kevin went out of his way to make us feel warmly welcomed - and helped us coordinate around wedding events nearby.
The condo was so well set up for a family - our daughters loved having the two twin beds in their own room, and we all enjoyed eating meals on the beautiful terrace with lush tropical views. The kitchen was beyond well set up - it had literally everything we could possibly need, including a rice cooker.
The beach gear - chairs, umbrella, sand toys, snorkeling masks, etc - was a game changer.
And then the nearby pool... it was absolutely perfect for our young children. Only 3.5' deep throughout almost the entire pool, we felt so comfortable having our daughters play there - and it was a super short walk from the condo unit.
We'd love to come stay here again. And I'm almost afraid to gush so much because I don't want too many people to descend on this gem of an accommodation!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. Quiet, beautiful property so close to the beaches and dive meetup spots. Very walkable! The communication and responsiveness with Kevin was superb and his knowledge and information sharing so helpful. We can't wait to return.

Clean, great views, close to beaches and shopping. Very attentive and by far the best hosts! Thank you so much, Chris and Jean, for sharing your home with us and providing local suggestions and recommendations! You had everything we’d ever need for a comfortable stay, including a wine key 😁 We wouldn’t have had such a great experience if we’d stayed at a 5 star resort! We will definitely be returning and telling all our friends about such a wonderful place to stay ❤️ Mahalo!

Very quiet location. A tad far to walk to beach. Great upper pool with waterfall.
3 ceiling fans and great flow of air through condo. Hardly had to use any of 3 A/C’s. Nice big lanai with great table and chairs.

This is a beautiful condo in a great location. We enjoyed the short walks to the nearby lovely beaches with all needed & provided beach gear. The condo grounds and pools were lovely as well. Chris communicates very well and was very helpful. Definitely would stay here again.

Beautiful location, easy to get down to Wailea or up to Ka'anapali, plus Kam beaches are great in their own way. Perfect spot to say for the wife and I with our toddler.

We enjoyed our stay, and it was our favorite place to stay in Hawaii. The condo was clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. The owners have taste, art decor is beautiful. We loved having breakfast on lanai, and having washer and dryer for our 10-day stay. The location is great. There is a beach walking distance, but we loved going to Makena and Wailea beaches a short driving distance away. A+ across the board. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation
The condo was the perfect size for our family of four. The bedrooms are large with plenty of closet and suitcase space.
The owners are easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions.
The internet was excellent for those in our family who had to work.
The deck was wonderful. The grounds and surrounding areas are quiet.
Most surprising was how the condo stayed at the perfect temperature. The air conditioning units, ceiling fans, and closing of the curtains when we left for the day kept the unit comfortable day and night.
The kitchen has everything you need. In addition, the barbeque area is close, easy to use, and clean.
The beach chairs and all other amenities in the storage closet were greatly appreciated. There was everything we needed for a day at the beach, including a supply of beach towels.
The condo also has a dedicated parking spot which was really nice at the end of the day.
We had a wonderful vacation and would stay here again.

Slice of heaven
Truly enjoyed our stay here. The unit was very well equipped from kitchen to beach needs! Great deck, no traffic noise, room to move around, even with our of town family and friends. The owner and manager were both very responsive. Would love to stay here again! Mahalo Chris!!

Great location
The place was close to everything beaches, restaurants, shopping, grocery store and the road to Hana. The owner was responsive to my questions and the place had everything we need. There was everything you needed for the beach including coolers, umbrella, beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards. Also there were games in the closets but we never got to them. The place was really clean and the pool was close by.

Nice Condo close to beach
This was our first time staying in Kihei. The condo was more roomy than the pictures online. The place was clean with all the needed amenities for a vacation in Hawaii. Easy access to the beach and close to all the stores. Would love to stay here again in the future

Relaxed condo in a quiet complex.
Property is very comfortable and quiet. The pictures in the property listing undersell the property a bit, very clean and bright in person.

Kihei Family Bliss
This condo was ideal for our family (2 adults slept upstairs and the kids - 8 and 6 - slept downstairs). The cupboard of chairs/ boogie boards, flippers, etc on the lanai was so useful, and the complex is incredibly clean & well managed. The pool closest to us was so relaxing with its waterfall & hot tub. We spent most mornings at Kam III then afternoons at the pool. Recommend lunch at Fred’s Mexican Cafe & a trip to Maui Brewing Company. Chris’ communication was superb - he even helped arrange a babysitter so we could have a night out at Monkeypod in Wailea to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Would return in a heartbeat.

Hawaiian Family Vacation
We really enjoyed the condo and the hospitality of Chris and his local representative, Jennifer, who were both very responsive when we arrived.. The condo was as advertised and was perfect for our stay. It was clean and we had no issues during our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with the necessary items, and also with some that aren't commonly found, like a coffee grinder, which we used daily to enjoy some of the local coffee beans. The beds were comfortable. The closets also had plenty of hangers. The air conditioners and ceiling fans did a good job of cooling the living areas which was welcome on some of the hotter days we had. We also enjoyed the lanai on the first floor, especially in the morning before the hot sun hit it. The location is great with a short walk to the beach and to shops, restaurants nearby. The washer and dryer were great and also helped us pack lighter for the trip. Overall it was a great vacation and a great place to stay!

Great place to stay
Chris’s property was exactly as advertised and perfect for my family of four. The location is just about as far south as you can get in Kehei, which is nice because it’s a bit quieter and very close to Waimea. It is an easy, short walk to Kam III beach which has decent snorkeling and the nicest sand of any beach we visited. The pool and hot tub were refreshing after a day at the beach. Chris was a very gracious, welcoming host and very easy to communicate with. All in all, a perfect place to stay.

Chris was a wonderful host. Welcome packet was informative and his communication was responsive and excellent. Really helped make this family trip stress free. Thanks Chris!

Excellent unit + perfect location!
Simply put: we loved staying at Chris' place in the Maui Kamaole!
The complex: Maui Kamaole is perfectly located in South Kihei (closer to the Wailea side), which was nice because it's without the crazy of central Kihei...but also it's an easy and accessible walk to the 3 Kam beaches and all the food, shops, etc. you could want. We've stayed nearby before and other places around the island and we think this spot is the best so far!
This unit is super accessible as it's close to the small (but amazing) pool area and an easy walk down to Kam beaches across the street. We also love the location because it has a more private feel since it's at the end of a foot path yet with the parking space very close by. The unit is simply and cleanly decorated, has great space, all the things you need (including beach gear - thanks!), lovely lanai, nice convenient open floor plan, and great light! Our 2 teenage boys shared the room downstairs with 2 twin beds and a full bathroom right off the bedroom. We took the upstairs loft / bathroom with it's own lanai. The whole family was happy with the set up. You get the morning sunrise over Haleakala and then a short walk to the beach for the incredible west-facing sunsets. All said, this was the perfect place for the price point and we couldn't be happier!
Chris, the owner, was super communicative throughout the booking process with a lot of guidance; and was quick to respond with any questions we had. It was all the more appreciated given the choppiness of COVID travel restrictions, etc. That said, it couldn't have been easier.
We can't wait to come back again! Thanks Chris!

Perfect Family Vacation Home
Our family of three adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chris' lovely condo. It was exactly as pictured. We found it quiet, comfortable, clean, and incredibly well stocked with kitchen and beach supplies. We took advantage of the BBQ station located just down the walkway to enjoy some home cooked meals served on the lanai overlooking the beautiful gardens.
The location of the unit is ideal, set in a safe and well kept complex with on-site pools and hot tubs. It is only a short walk to some of Maui's best beaches that stretch up and down the coast in both directions. We were able to take surf lessons and rent snorkel gear nearby. Grocery stores (we found prices best at Foodland), a pharmacy, a variety of shops and restaurants are all within walking distance or a short drive away. Kihea is also a central location for driving to other parts of the island. We drove the road to Hana and did some great hikes.
Chris is an excellent host. He provided clear information and a thoughtful welcome package that allowed us to check in late at night and find our way in the dark. He offered many suggestions for meeting the needs of travelers and exploring a variety of activities suitable for a range of ages. He maintained open communication and responded promptly to questions.
Thanks so much Chris! We wish we could have stayed longer and would love to return.

Home away from Home!
We enjoyed our stay at this property in Kihei. While it doesn't have a water view, it has a lovely view of gardens with many flowers in bloom. It is a short walk/drive to beaches - our favorite was Kewakapu! The condo has a very well equipped kitchen and lots of chairs/toys to take to the beach. The beds were very comfortable, and fans and air conditioning kept us cool. We loved our stay and will be back again.

Great stay!
Everything was as advertised. We loved the pool that we were closest to, the lanai was lovely to sit and enjoy all the beautiful foliage. Chris was awesome to communicate with - he answered our questions right away. It is convenient enough to walk to everything you need. We loved walking along the beaches to go to a coffee shop or a restaurant. We saw so many leaping whales! The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. Thank you!

Everything you need for a great vacation!
This property was everything we expected and more! Chris was excellent to deal with, accommodating and very proactive with his communication. I appreciated that he took the time to make sure we were knew there would be some noise transfer from the loft bedroom upstairs before confirming our booking, as we were a family of 5 that would be using the pull-out sofa in the living room. The way the condo situated it has a private feel and we enjoyed watching a Northern Cardinal sing to us from the palm tree just off the nice big Lanai. The unit was well equipped with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay, including a few spices and other cooking essentials. I was surprised at how many barbeque stations were throughout the complex, all with Webbers, so it was no trouble to pop down to throw something on for dinner. It is a bit of a maze navigating through the beautiful grounds but it only took us about 10 mins to get right to the beach. And for the times we didn't feel like the walk, the pool was right out front of our building. I would definitely stay here again!

Great stay!
We were a family of four and rented the condo for a week and had a great time.
It was well equipped (boogie boards, beach chairs, cooler, icepaks). Everthing that is need for a good time at the beach! As for the kitchen, we had all we needed to make our own meals.
Would clearly recommend!! I was hesitant to rent with the pictures that were posted on internet when we searched (not enough pictures to see the whole condo) but I read all the comments from people that went before me and took a chance. It was worth it!
Mahalo Chris!
Aloha

The "Chang" Gang
I want to personally thank you Chris for making our stay feel welcoming. The pictures are exactly what you would expect when you arrive. The place is clean and feels like home. All the amenities were so helpful especially for 2 crazy adults and 3 teenage girls. Note: the condo is on the second floor of the building.
If you arrive to Kahului Airport before Costco closes, definitely recommend doing the groceries for your stay. You will save a lot of money eating out and you can actually use the saving towards fun tours and activities and shopping. We saved a lot of weight from our luggage since the condo had a washing machine & dryer; there was no need to bring multiple outfits.
Definitely book a car if you want to enjoy your time and plan your own fun filled activities. On the Road to Hana, we saw breathtaking waterfalls, the Black Sand Beach (phenomenal), and the Bamboo Forest (hiking). On a separate day, we drove to Ho'okipa Beach and saw about 10 humongous sea turtles at shore. Our family also snorkeled at Makena Beach, while it was relatively crowdless, and spotted & swam with 2 sea turtles. We shopped in Lahaina Banyan court; it had a plethora of clothing, jewelry, and general shops along with gelato and shaved ice bars. It’s a boardwalk on the beach and the views were spectacular. At the end of the day, the ultimate relaxation destination would be the nearby JACUZZI at Maui Kamaole (the place we stayed).
Some really helpful tips: For snorkeling, we highly recommend safe shoes in the water; there were a lot of sea urchins. Begin Road to Hana early so you can enjoy things before sunset. It is difficult to drive pitch dark. Watch YouTube vlogs to learn more of Maui’s sights. Take advantage of the swimming pool. Wear sunscreen. Wear bug repellant and proper clothes for hiking, the places tend to be moist, muddy, and uphill.
Lastly, tourists must try shaved ice at Beach Street and Miso Phat (sushi) in Kihei. The shaved ice is particularly special because it has a scoop of ice cream inside. If you are headed to Lahaina, try the Noodle Bar for authentic Vietnamese food.
Until next time,
Mahalo!

Maui for 5
The condo was clean, the grounds and pool area were immaculant.
The AC wall units were strong enough to bring down the 92 degrees outside to a comfy 72 degrees.
The kitchen was swell stocked with pots, pans, dishes, a blender (for awesome local fruit smoothies) and a much appreciated coffee grinder. We had breakfast and dinner in the condo and only went out for lunch which allowed us to save at least $1500 over 10 days.
We had 5 adults (my wife and I plus our three adult sons) and we never felt crowded.
The main lanai has a lush garden view which we enjoyed very much especially in the mornings when the birds were active and calling. Lots of little lizards running around the grounds but no bugs or lizards inside.
The master bedroom is upstairs in the loft area and the vaulted ceiling makes any sounds downstairs hearable. This could be a plus or a minus depending on what you're looking for.
The furniture and beds were all in good condition but not too fancy so good for kids. Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear and boogie boards.
The washer and dryer made it very convienent. I could have gotten away with a pair of swims trunks, two pair of shorts, 3 t-shirts and my sandals for the entire 10 days. Needless to say, we overpacked.
It's little more than a 1/4 mile walk down to the beach which got us away from the beach traffic but still made it very accessible. We went snorkeling at Kamaole III beach right below us at least 3 times and swam with turtles every time. Best to go in the morning before the trade winds kick up the surf.
South Kihei has a beach town vibe kind of like Santa Cruz CA which we enjoyed as compared to some of the high end resorts on other parts of the island. Lots of coffee bars, resturants, gear rental shops and souvenier shops..Best food had to be the calamari tacos at Moose McGillycutty's.
We did the luau at the Grand Wailea. The food was incredible and the fire dancer was fascinating to watch.
My wife has a bum knee so climbing the stairs up to the condo and then climbing another flight up to the master bedroom was taxing for her. This was the only downside of the condo for us.
Overall our trip was a 5 star with the condo coming in at a 4.5 star.

Maui was great-French fry was under coffee table when we arrived and dishwasher stopped working late in our stay.

Good option
Well stocked condo with all the essentials. The boogie boards were a great extra! The beach chairs are getting a little beat up and have to be carried by hand, rather than having straps to carry backpack style. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub closest to this condo and went every day. This is a great complex for families. The owner, Chris, was incredibly responsive and wonderful to communicate with. When we arrived, there was a note the the washer was broken. I really did not hold out hope that anything would be done during our stay (which would have been a bummer, as I hadn't packed a week's clean clothes), but by day 4, a brand new washer and dryer were installed. I don't recommend this for more than 4 people. We had my teenage son sleep on the sofa bed, but he's a night owl and the open upper master (there is no real door, just sliding panels) meant we could hear everything. The TV sound from below (even turned very low) seemed to amplify upstairs and made it hard for my husband and I to sleep. As long as you're not making use of the sofa bed, no problem!

Perfect Accommodations in Kihei
After a tiny miscommunication about our arrival, which the owner and maintenance man and cleaner and property manager all apologized for and fixed as quickly as possible, our stay was nothing short of perfect. Such a comfortable and well-equipped space! It was quiet and spacious and just lovely. I don't think the photos do it justice; I was surprised with how big the condo is. The huge lanai off the living area was a great place to relax - I was not expecting that to be such a useful space; we hung out there a lot! We really appreciated all the equipment available, and put the umbrellas, chairs and beach towels to use every single day. We didn't use the pools, so I can't review those, but all our favorite beaches (Kam 1,2 &3) were within a short drive. I suppose you could walk, but we took a lot of equipment with us, and so always drove. It was also nice, on the day of our whale watching tour, that the docks are directly across the street from the complex. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would TOTALLY book this space again. Maybe next year...?

It was wonderful, everything you needed, close to restaurants and markets and kept nice & clean
We had a wonderful time in Maui. Thanks to Chris & his family, we had a great stay, the condo is fully equipped and well looked after. It’s situated on beautiful property, located perfectly to beaches, restaurants, markets and dive rental shops. Chris sends you a nice package before you get there explaining how to locate the condo, beaches and other key places. The grounds are well kept and there’s clean bbqs and the pools and hot tubs are fabulous to relax in at the end of the day or to start it off. Our family had a perfect vacation and a big thanks to that is the accommodations.

We had a very nice stay in a spacious quiet accommodation.
Our stay was great. It is a well appointed large two bedroom property. The host was very responsive and helpful. The kids loved the tropical pool and the ocean was close enough for us to walk down to enjoy evening sunsets.
