About this villa rental

If you want to enjoy all that Sonoma County has to offer, why not be in the center of it? Just 20 minutes from Healdsburg Plaza, 30 minutes to Bodega Bay, 40 minutes to Sonoma and less than 10 minutes to Sebastopol or the Russian River and Redwoods. Villa Vernazza, one of the premier vineyard estates in Sonoma County is surrounded by 55 acres of premium Pinot Noir Vineyards in the Russian River appellation. As you approach the Villa through 1/4 mile of vineyards up the stately gated drive the image of Mount St. Helena and surrounding hills awaits in the distance. The picturesque Villa grows into view as you grasp the scope of this sprawling single level nearly 6,000 sq. ft. vineyard estate. The entire home and property offer access without a single step to climb so that everyone regardless of age can enjoy their stay. The grand entrance boasts an 18 foot high sunlit foyer adorned with fine tapestries. An immense great room awaits with abundant seating, a baby grand piano and a dining area with seating for 12 that is open to a wonderful gourmet kitchen fit for the most discriminating chef. There is also additional seating for 8 for casual dining at 2 counters.

There are 4 beautiful master suites with king sized beds and full baths en suite. A family room with game table and a large flat screen HD TV has a sofa sleeper and can be used as a fairly private 5th bedroom on the east wing. There is also a study in the west wing with another HD flat screen TV and sofa sleeper that can be closed off from the main living space to be used as a 6th bedroom.

Outdoors you will have the option of a walled courtyard with small ponds and a huge fire feature in front or the beautiful back yard with a large, heated pool and built in spa. A large BBQ grill is great for outdoor cooking while you take in the views of the vineyards, horses and mount St. Helena. There is also a large lawn of grass for lounging and games. A truly amazing property.

All of our vacation rentals are completely stocked with essential cookware, dinnerware and consumable supplies like toilet paper; paper towels; shampoo & conditioner; bath, dish hand and laundry soaps; various trash bags. Luxurious linens are also provided. Additional fees apply to heat pool October through April. The hot tub is heated at no additional charge all year. All houses are non-smoking indoors.

This is an amazing property for family and friends to gather but it is NOT a party house! Amplified music is not allowed outdoors at vacation rentals in the County and there are cameras that monitor parking areas and decimal meters that alert us to excessive noise. Quiet time for this County is between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Groups that abuse these rules will be subject to immediate eviction and could be subject to large fines and potential legal action.

First and foremost, Randy was terrific. I have rented through VRBO for several years now, and this was the best customer service, hands down. The Villa Vernazza was beautiful, inviting, comfortable, and we had a very good time.

Our group of women spent 4 nights here celebrating a couple of 40th birthdays. The house was very clean, spacious, had many amenities including multiple bathrooms, washers and dryers, refrigerators, and nice kitchen appliances. The beds were comfortable and the views were beautiful. It felt very private, although we were warned not to spend time outside by the pool after 9 unless we were very quiet, as the only nearby neighbors have been known to call the police for even a moderate amount of noise. This wasn’t a big deal for us as we didn’t stay up late and it was pretty chilly outside in the evening, but might put a damper on summer evenings by the pool for anyone with a loud voice or laugh. I would definitely recommend this rental as it was well kept, beautiful, and a comfortable stay.

Overall good. Some of the basics like salt, pepper, sugar not there but were acquired in timely fashion by managers when asked. Teflon pans were damaged and unsafe to use. One broken toilet valve, and the heat seemed to stay on even though we turned it off. Main oven didn’t work well. Great fridges! Managers were accommodating and cimmunicative. The house and ambiance was attractive. Great water pressure in the showers. We appreciated the privacy and seclusion.

The property was perfect for our group of 10. We were ideally located for wine tasting and the beautiful space has privacy and wonderful indoor and outdoor space. The perfect wine country experience!! The property manager was responsive and helpful. We hope we can come back some day!!!

The property is amazingly beautiful. The air and heat system controls were initially a little difficult to figure out the showerhead in one of the major bedrooms was not working appropriately, and no amount of trying to make it spray appropriately was effective. Some directions as to placement of poolside. Seating for chairs would have been helpful as well as instructions as to location of bocce balls. The issue that was most difficult for us was not being able to close the gate we had called and asked for instructions on how to do that, but never received any reply, maybe we were not supposed to close it but we would’ve felt better if we could’ve closed it at night other than these minor issues the house is a beautiful location and was a true asset to our trip. The property is nestled in a picturesque vineyard, breathtaking views. Clean with a great layout. Pool/Outdoor space was amazing. A few hiccups prevent me from giving a perfect rating. Despite communicating arrival times 3X to the property manager's team (wine tour), we still received a few emails and text msg on check-in day reminding us of the the process. It would have been more seamless if our previous communication had been acknowledged. Upon check-in, we were informed that a bachelorette party caused damage. Despite my communication and background check, we were subjected to q’s about our own party, which felt unnecessary. Certain comments made by the PM were slightly annoying, remarks about the property frequently attracting groups of women and booking through the website would have saved $1,500. The most significant issue was the last night of our stay, one of the refrigerators stopped working. This posed a problem as our group's chef had already spent hours planning, shopping, $ and preparing meals for 12 people and the spoiled food resulted in a disappointing final meal. When I contacted Randy about the issue, he initially downplayed its significance. He eventually acknowledged the problem and sent someone to clean out the fridge, but the initial response left us feeling frustrated. He also made another concession once asked. Despite these drawbacks, I must emphasize that the property itself is truly beautiful, and the property manager was generally responsive.

Villa Vernazza is a beautiful, well equipped place for a special occasion. The location is terrific in the middle of a working vineyard and very private. The house has everything you need to either relax after a long day elsewhere or just hang out and relax all day long. The host is super responsive and helpful. I would definatly recommend it.

Our daughter got married at Vine Hill House. The location of the Villa and accommodations were excellent. It was a perfect family experience. The house was well equipped, comfortable and in a gorgeous setting. Highly recommend it!

We just spent a Easter weekend in the property. 6 adults and 4 kids. This is a great place. There are 4 master suites and two studies. Plenty of spaces for everybody’s privacy. The outdoor space is also very nice. The property manager was super nice. Overall we had a great stay. I highly recommend this place.

Gorgeous house. Bigger than the pictures make it seem. We were celebrating a 30th birthday and enjoyed being close to wineries, Sebastopol, and Santa Rosa. What an awesome vacation! Randy was a gracious host and easy to communicate with. Would stay again.

This place was a dream, we enjoyed every aspect of this property. Our group loved the space! Amazing views and a great pool area. We did have the fence removed prior to arriving (extra fee) but we thought it was worth it for the unobstructed space. This home is so much more breathtaking in person- definitely don’t hesitate to book it!

Such a wonderful vacation! The grandkids were swimming all day and played pool and boche ball! The property is stunning! Walking around the vineyard in the morning and night was so peaceful. Plus the beds were so comfortable.. (this is so important ). Each couple felt the same way.. to have 4 en-suite areas for each of us and comfy beds is extremely rare! The house is exceptional! There is so much room we were never felt crowded! We would love to come back again.. Very close to all the wineries and Santa Rosa.. This was such a Blessing and the grandkids said it was their favorite vacation! (Even over Disneyland!!) 😊

The property was lovely set in the middle of a vineyard with spacious accommodations. We were able to spread out, there were 12 of us in the four bedrooms and we used the mattresses from the couches and the blow up bed. We were aware of the neighbors being sensitive to noise so we moved to the front patio once it got a little later in the evening and with the fire pit and the fountain it was fine. Our only complaint was that the pool cover did not function so we were not able to use the pool and the jacuzzi does not have jets with air, so it's mostly a soaking tub. The bocce ball court was fun, but the balls are in bad shape and need replacing. The location was great for tasting in the Russian River Valley, we were close to so many great wineries without having to drive very far. The house was great for what we used it for. It was a really great weekend. Thanks so much!!

Stunning property - just beautiful. The house is sprawling with plenty of room for a large group (we were 11), great space for entertaining, and privacy if you need it. The outside pool area is a major highlight and the scenic view makes it even more peaceful. Easy to get to from SFO and short distances to all the fabulous wineries in Sonoma County. Randy was an excellent host and provided us with everything we needed for a great stay. Highly recommend and will stay again!
