Casa Espiritu exceeded our expectations! The location, decor, design and layout of the house were top notch. The elevated bay views were even more impressive and special in person. Furthermore, the house manager (Jacqui), housekeeper (Yolanda) and security guard (Sebastian) are truly lovely people and their warm hospitality was one of our favorite parts of our stay. It was our first time visiting Zihuatanejo and we can't wait to return. It is a charming little slice of paradise with even more charming people. Gracias por todo Casa Espiritu!

I can’t say enough about the staff, the beauty of the villa, the view, the whole WOW experience. Casa Espiritu if accurately named because it is a spiritual recharging of the soul. Super safe, gated property, almost makes it hard to leave this palace to explore the town and beaches. There is a trail off the main road if you turn left out onto the main road that will take you down to Playa Las Gatas. Park in the dirt and you can hike down. Not recommended for those with health issues or very young children. Very steep and it’s a workout coming back up. Takes 15 or less and much faster than going to the pier and taking a boat over. I will be back, would love to book it for a girl’s trip.

Casa Espiritu did not disappoint. It is as beautiful as the pictures. The main bedroom is so stunning with a lounging area where I did daily yoga in the most beautiful setting. There is a balcony with an amazing view of the bay at all times of the day, especially beautifully lit up at night. The bathroom in this suite is gorgeous, too, with intricate tile, marble and art. The second and third bedrooms, also with high quality King beds, feature their own sitting areas, bathrooms and balconies! The fourth bedroom in the lowest level is less desirable as it has a musty smell and no views, but would be ok for kids or teens even though ours decided to share beds instead of staying down there. To get groceries, you arrange for a taxi driver Jesus Luna or one of his colleagues who will drive you to Soriana, a huge store with everything, and wait while you shop. This trip was 400 pesos round trip, which is less than going to the airport (600-700 pesos). I plan to reserve this home again without hesitation.

The house is absolutely amazing. The views, pool, and bedrooms were fantastic. We had the chef's come make dinner three times and each time was delicious, and they were so kind and gracious, highly recommended. Absolutely wonderful vacation!

Our group of 8 (2 families with 2 teenagers and 2 kids) had an absolute perfect vacation here. The house is truly stunning, immaculately clean, and even more pretty than the pictures. From pre-arrival throughout our stay Jacqui, the house manager, was absolutely responsive and helpful. She arranged for us several activities, including massages at the house (Jazmine was amazing), a deep sea fishing trip where we caught mackerel and Bonita, a snorkeling trip to Ixtapa Island, and three meals cooked at the house. The chefs were absolutely lovely and the food was the best we had during our trip. Carlos, our driver, was timely and perfectly accommodating of our various schedules including trips to the beach and for surfing. In short we asked for lots of activities and Jacquie and her team delivered over and beyond with each and every request. If you’re considering booking Casa Esperitu don’t hesitate!

Breathtaking scenery from almost every room in the house. This is our second time staying in this neighborhood which we enjoy because of the amazing vistas, the almost ever-present breeze and gated security. This was our first stay at the Casa and the photos don't do it justice. We were two couples, so we had ample space and did not have to worry about getting primo seating on the three pool lounges. We especially enjoyed the main area, the dining room with the big, beautiful wooden table and comfortable chairs, and the TV, office, internet room that allows for some privacy. The upstairs main bedroom suite is gigantic and has a great view from the terrace (would have enjoyed a chaise lounge up there or on the downstairs verandas). It has a seating area, ample closet space, a table with a make-up mirror in front of a window and comfortable king bed. The main bathroom is huge, with two sinks, two shower heads and a toilet. I was a bit worried about the two windows over the toilet compromising privacy, as they do not have shutters, but the street is not busy, and it might be hard to look into the bathroom from the street unless someone makes an effort. Yolanda rigged up an ingenious solution to covering a window in the bedroom that does not have shutters, so the room would be less bright early in the morning, making sleeping in possible with earplugs to quiet the bird sounds outside. Thank you! It was great to open up the shutters to see the unbeatable view!
The other couple stayed in one of the two lower bedrooms with a nice view and terrace. We did not use the fourth bedroom which is dark, damp, smells musky and has to be reached via a narrow hallway passing the laundry area and pool/mechanical room. The fourth bedroom has a door to the outside, two windows, but no view. We would not have wanted to stay in that room, because of location and ambiance. Teens might like the increased privacy and being away from the adults, but they might be tempted to sneak out.
The outside kitchen is very well stocked with lots of functional pots and pans, dishes, Tupperware, silverware. We appreciated that someone had left cellophane, little baggies and foil, but that might be a function of who leaves what when they leave. The stove is huge and worked well. So did all the other appliances. Jacqui was great to work with. She was communicative via email ahead of time and easily reachable via WhatsApp during our stay. Yolanda was super friendly and kept things clean.

Stunning View! Well-appointed, plush home!
This property is stunning and very likely has the best view in Zihuatanejo! Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, which is nice when traveling with family or friends! Three of the four bedrooms have beautiful ocean views but we were very disappointed in the 4th bedroom. It had no view and was dark.
The kitchen could use more spices for those of us who like to cook while on vacation. But we opted to hire an in-home chef for one meal....it was probably the BEST meal we had while there! Jackie, the house manager, can set up almost anything you need, including the private chef!
My only two complaints, and they are VERY minor....the home was located a little far from the center of town, where we ended up taking taxis nearly every day. And the beds weren't very comfortable (I am hard to please there, though!)
All in all, my family loved this place! We felt safe and secure in the private neighborhood and if we had any questions, Jackie was nearly always available to assist us! Money and time well spent! THANK YOU!

Amazing ocean view and house
This is our second time in casa Espíritu. The ocean view is the best but also the beautifully open space designed house.

Spectacular View
We have stayed at a few places in Zihua over the years and this one had the best view - truly spectacular. Perfect house for 3 couples. We walked to La Ropa most days. The front gate will get you a taxi in minutes if you want to go into town. Peaceful and Lovely.

Great getaway
The property was very nice, beautiful view and sunsets! We felt very secure with the gate and the friendly men who were always there to protect the property, they were very helpful getting you home safe. We only have a problem getting a refund for one night stay as we gave the wrong date but immediatly notified the owner back in May when we booked but the charge went through and have not been successful in retrieving it through him or the VRBO. We would highly recommend staying there though and we would love to revisit as well! Gary & Natalie

Best view in Zihua!!
This was our 10th or 11th visit to Zihua, most of them in condos. Casa Espiritu without a doubt had the best views in Zihua. It is easiest for me to list what we liked and what we didn't (not much).
Pros:
Views were spectacular!!
The condo was well appointed and beautiful.
Kitchen had everything you need.
Never ran out of ice.
Housekeeping did a great job, Yolanda was there every other day.
Jaqueline (on location manager) was a great help with stuff, like reservations.
Every afternoon there was a breeze off the ocean, it never got too hot.
We had the chef come in, it was delicious, should have done it twice.
We are used to a lot of stairs at the condos, there was relatively few at Casa Espiritu.
Guarded community, very safe, security actually will escort you so you don’t get lost.
Very quiet
The security personnel did great job with getting taxis.
Cons:
Pool was a little cool, morning shade. We always used it when we were overheated from the beach.
Maintenance issues that were addressed quickly. Not really a con.
We had a hard time pronouncing Cerro Del Vigia for the taxis back.
You have to use a taxi pretty much anytime you wanted to go somewhere.
I would definitely recommend Casa Espiritu to anyone come down to Zihua.

Girls get away, never wanted to leave
My best friend and I rented out Casa Espiritu February 2014 and have since been back three times. Zihuatanejo is such a hidden paradise and having the luxury of being in your own space, not in a resort, doing everything on your own terms/timing is what makes renting this specific spot so amazing.
The moment we got through the security gates into the enclosed neighborhood, we were in awe. We were truly pampered, the cleaning service was amazing, the recommended chef came one night, he prepped and cleaned after service, the food was phenomenal.
The beach is super close, same with going into town ( the beach and town are in the same place) , the views from the open living room were glorious at sunrise and sunset. <3 thank you and can't wait for our next annual trip

Amazing!
We travelled with our two grown children and their spouses. It was a perfect space for 3 couples. Was initially nervous about outdoor living but that melted away the moment we walked through the entry door. The view is truly breathtaking.
Felt very spoiled when we hired the recommended chef to come in to cook for us. Not only did he shop, prepare and serve us he also cleaned up after an amazing multi course meal. Price was very reasonable and we wished we had indulged earlier!!
Yolanda, the house keeper is also very pleasant and professional. Don't think we would hire the recommended masseuse again, but that was truly inconsequential.
We rented a vehicle while we were there as it is quite a hike to the beach, etc. The one security guard at the gate has the greatest welcoming smile, it's truly infectious.
The villa could not be more beautiful. Pool is just as amazing as it looks in the photos, no actually it's better! Would absolutely recommend this villa to anyone who wants to experience a wonderful getaway. Loved, loved, loved it.

PARADISE!!
Just got back from Zihuat. and Casa Espiritu. It was EXACTLY like the photos online, only better! We walked in, greeted by this amazing view and after that it just got better and better. Everything was perfect - clean and comfortable and beautiful. We had EVERYTHING we needed including maid service and a fabulous kitchen. Swimming in the infinity pool, it felt like you were merging into the sky and the ocean...truly incredible, and very refreshing! We would recommend this place without any reservation to our friends and family and plan to go back again. Thank you for a PERFECT vacation!

Outstanding, unique and memorable
Stunning and commanding view of the bay and area, in a safe (guarded compound) and beautifully maintained surrounding. Exquisite aesthetics and art throughout the house. Fabulously equipped kitchen. Infinity pool is heaven sent. Impeccably clean. Memorable sunsets. Cannot imagine a better spot in the entire region. Car is required, though beaches, shopping and dining are easily accessed. Peaceful, delightful. We've stayed twice, and hope to do so again.

Paradise!!
Our stay at Casa Espiritu was wonderful! Everyone was very helpful and the security fantastic. The great thing about the house was being able to get away from everything and at the same time just a short taxi ride to a night on the town.
Oh, and the fishing was awesome!! The wives couldn't leave the infinity pool during the day, and the guys couldn't stop catching giant sailfish.

Extraordinary Home and Spectacular Views
Our family recently stayed at Casa Espiritu for a wonderful get together.
The home was stunning, the views and location exceptional. The staff was welcoming and discreet. We enjoyed walking to the long, sandy beach (less than 1/2 hour), then a quick taxi home after we had swam, drank margaritas and played!
Relaxing in the infinity pool, then cooking dinners together in the beautiful, open concept kitchen was a highlight of our stay. We loved the occasional chirp of a gecko in the kitchen, too.

A Spectacular "Casa" in Zihuatanejo
We spent two weeks in late August at Casa Espiritu and will return on December 27th for an additional two weeks. We love this house! In any every way, it is an exceptional experience - the view, the pool, the very comfortable bedroom suites! Our housekeeper - we want to bring her home with us! We hired a great chef Hector and enjoyed most of dinners at home! We had some issue with the internet connectivity last visit but this was a Telcel issue - I am assured that it is now working! Enjoy!

Rejuvenation Time!
Rejuvenation is what Casa Espiritu embodies in physical form, nurturing body and soul and combining the perfect balance of beauty and comfort. As you walk through the front door the space expands, sweeping you forward to the view of the ocean. Breath-taking. The open plan of kitchen, dining room and living room allows for the flow of light, air and interaction. Whether I was cooking, sitting at the beautiful dinning room table or in the living room watching the amazing sunset, I felt connected to all that was happening. The separate "den" is a great spot for quiet time or movie watching and each of the bedrooms are little retreats, with balconies, private baths TVs and other amenities. You can easily spend the day enjoying the quiet. Casa Espiritu is an exquisite space for families or groups of friends to relax and reconnect. It delivers all that is described and more.
