The unit is a comfy two bedroom apartment that can sleep up to six. Located in a resort style 19 unit complex with central courtyard patio, & barbecue, heated pool (in the summer) and is centrally located near Carpinteria’s quaint downtown and pristine beaches. The complex is surrounded by gorgeous mountain views, open space and flat walks to the beach.
You can walk everywhere in Carpinteria, seconds to the beach, parks, restaurants, markets, shopping, Amtrak. Peaceful haven for relaxing and sports! Our rental is family friendly!

Our 2 bedroom apartments are artistically and individually decorated with your comfort in mind. Your furnished rental includes the comforts of good design, with a queen bed, 2 twin beds, queen sleeper sofa, dining table with 5-6 chairs, and all comforts of home! The kitchen is equipped with dinnerware, refrigerator/freezer, oven/stovetop, microwave, coffeemaker, and toaster oven so you have everything you need for meal preparation. Your rental includes, cable TV, a DVD player & free basic WiFi.
Enjoy lounging or swimming in our pool or perhaps enjoy a meal in the courtyard patio with barbecue! Wonderful restaurants nearby too!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our Carpinteria vacation in June 2024. The property was just as described on the VRBO site. For us, the best feature was the location. It was a very short walk to the beach or downtown Carpinteria. The unit had all the amenities we needed, and communication with the manager was great. We would like to stay here again in the future.

This was the filthiest place. Infestation of termites, unit was not cleaned. I can’t describe the toilet! The grounds were just as bad… please take note! It took us videotaping live termites crawling around the unit to get a refund and they charged us for a night in that filth. Termites look like maggots by the way. This process took 4 hours with Verbo on the phone, I’ve never seen such an inhabitable place for the price and the process to show proof to get out of that mess. Be careful with this!

We loved Seashell Apartments and will definitely stay there again. The apartment was simple and beachy and perfect for a month stay for us and our toddler. The walk to the beach and to Linden is very fast. It felt very relaxed, which is just what we were looking for.

Can't beat the value for this place. It was quieter than other condos we have rented in Carp, and the pool is the perfect temp :) Definitely old school so don't expect modern, but the listing is accurate. We had a lovely time.

Good location that met our needs

The property is in a great location near the beach in beautiful Carpinteria, California. The manager of the property, Don, was very nice and responsive prior to check-in, he even advised us we were permitted to check-in early if we wanted to — very nice! However, the unit itself was just okay. It was no frills and could use a lot of upgrades, but it did meet our basic needs. Almost everything was outdated, it wasn’t very clean, and the beds were so-so. In sum, we were disappointed as soon as we walked into the unit, but we had a great time and, like I said, it met our basic needs.

We had a great break in Carpenteria. The apartment was more spacious than the photos showed. The kitchen had the basic appliances. The beds were comfy and had lots of extra blankets. Communication with Ken was great. Very quick to reply.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Seashell property. We stay at rentals often and this was a memorable place. It is perfectly located and has a beautiful view from the breakfast table. Thoughtful touches such as blackout curtains were appreciated. Best of all was our host. He was friendly, quick to respond and accommodated a request that made our day. Thanks so much!

Our stay was great. The only problem was when we arrived. I had asked for a downstairs apartment since one of our ladies has trouble climbing stairs. Ken had agreed to that, but when we arrived there had been a change and we were to go to an apartment upstairs. Fortunately I got ahold of Ken and he promptly made the change and we were able to use one downstairs.

Nice apartment in a quiet property

I spent 2 weeks in the apartment with my wife and 2 kids. Carpinteria is a lovely destination for families and relax, even too calm and quiet if you look for a nice restaurant for dinner (however Santa Barbara is just a few mikes away). The apartment is nice and clean, and you feel it is or it was not only for rent. However for the price we paid I was expecting something more, bathroom and kitchen require a renovation and I am personally not fan of carpets.

We have spent four months here each of the last 9 years so it has been more like home than home!! The owners have been so accommodating that we've actually stayed in the same unit each year at our request. They've gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. We absolutely love the area and 'Seashell Apt.' is a wonderful spot to enjoy the beach and the entire town. We highly recommend it to one and all!!

Stopped there for a few days to relax after a long trip from France. Everything was wonderful from the warm welcome to the apt location steps from the beach. The apt is very comfortable, bright with all the amenities you may want! Made it very easy to get over jetlag!

10th summer at Seashell Beach

This was our 16th summer going to Carpinteria and the 10th summer at Seashell Beach Apts. We stayed in several different condos in Carp until we found Seashell, it is our summer home. The location is excellent, 1 block to the ‘World’s Safest Beach’, a block to the Salt Marsh preserve, short walk to ‘The Spot’ (excellent burgers and fries) and downtown. The owners Adrea and Herb have been excellent hosts and have always made us feel at home and if there has been a problem, they are quick to fix it. Over the years, we have stayed in several of the apartments, all of which are nicely furnished. One of the nice things about Seashell is the family atmosphere. From when our children were small to now that they are in college, they enjoy their time at the property. They do have a nice pool and barbeque area. We have met many wonderful people while using the grill cooking some fresh local fish purchased at Santa Barbara Fish Market (in the SB harbor), well worth the 15 minute drive. All we can say is Seashell Apts and Carpinteria go together like bread and butter.

We've been going to Seashell Beach Rentals for years for vacation and we've always had a great time! This year was even better than usual. Our apartment was clean, comfortable, and a great value with original art on the wall. The complex is well taken care of and provides families a wonderful place to relax with a pool, patio and flowers everywhere. It's also nice and quiet at night. We love being so close to the beach - it makes it easy to go back and forth multiple times during the day. It's also a short, easy walk to town. Can't wait to come back next year!
