This apartment is in a terrific location: Easily walkable to many important temples and all the stores and restaurants of Gion. Clean and comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. The dining room is the common room and is small if you have more than five people. The washing machine did not work for us and the host gave us a modest refund. The outdoor space is tiny and more for drying your clothes than usable.

Great Kyoto location. Short uphill walk to Kyomizu-dera Temple and other temples nearby. Downtown Kyoto was about 10 minute walk. Bus stop nearby for other attractions accessible by bus. Kyoto Station nearby.
3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms! Included 1 bedroom on tatami mats. Well furnished and maintained. Air conditioned!!

The check in couldn't have been easier, and the location is amazing. It was nice to be able to spread out. The air conditioning, wifi, and showers were all perfect.

The house was beautifully maintained and everything the site listed. Bliss was very responsive to our questions and very helpful in our situation. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Although it was very roomy for 3 people, I think it would be very tight for 10 people to stay there.

Simple checkin. Great location. Very responsive host.

This property had super easy check in and great communication. This is a nice 3 bedroom, 3 bath with a nice kitchen area (with a kitchen table and chairs) and a more traditional gathering area. One bedroom is private. Bedrooms 2 and 3 do not have a door separating them but a wall that separates most of the way. The location is just down the hill from one of the more spectacular areas that we found with beautiful Temple, Shrine, and street with tons of shops. Best tip. No matter where you stay in Kyoto, you have to make your way to Nara

We enjoyed our stay and the 3 bathrooms worked well for our group. There was a good grocery store just one block away, so that was very convenient. The home was clean, and had everything we needed. We had excellent day trips to all the local sites and particularly enjoyed the downtown food markets.

We enjoyed this house and highly recommend it. There was a lot of room for all of us. Description and picture of the layout was all correct. Taxis had a hard time finding this location so we used the address of a Lawson which was very close to this house.

Loved the 3 bathrooms perfect for a group of 6. Convenient to a lot of places. A lot of kimono rental near place (one is right across from home). A lot of combini close by. Everything provided even umbrellas for the day it rained. Would definitely look into this and other places that Bliss has.

The property is as advertised - steps from restaurants, shops, bus line, and historical landmarks. 6 of us stayed here and had plenty of room. Would love to stay here again if we are ever able to return!

This place had been all we needed to experience Kyoto with family and friends: fantastic location, ample space and plenty bathrooms, well appointed, clean. All details of this wonderful home are well thought out and it was our haven while exploring amazing Kyoto for a few days! We had six people this place accommodated comfortably. Having a washing machine was a plus in sticky sweaty summer. Walking to city’s major attractions or taking a bus right around the corner made it easy to explore. If we are ever back to Kyoto this this where we will stay again!!!

It was a good location. It was within walking distance of the metro. If you want a quiet at night, this is it. If you want to be near the action, go elsewhere.

Our group of 7 people really enjoyed our visit to this lovely house. It is literally right in the middle of the old town Kiyomizu area and gives you the feel of living in Japan. You can walk to Kiyomizu in 10-15 mins and Gion in 10-20. Having 3 bedrooms and bathrooms was great- do note that in one bedroom there isn't a separate sink- not a big deal but just something to plan for if you have ladies who need to dry hair etc. It clearly shows what is in each room on the floor plan picture in the listing. If you are staying multiple days would recommend a wash and dry of the towels at midpoint. The kitchen is well outfitted and sits 6 people nicely. Convenient stores (7-11, Fresco) are all minutes away for quick stocking up.
My 12 year old nephew said it was the coolest place we stayed on our trip so I'd call that a ringing endorsement. Also, the management was super responsive at every point- before and during our visit. And their referral for the in house tea ceremony was one of the highlights of our stay. When I first reviewed the posting for this property it looked a bit too good to be true given how unusual it is to find something in this location, but the pictures truly represent what is on offer and the stay was overall a great experience. My thanks to Bliss and the team!

Easy access to temples and sites. Close to buses. Great food too.

The inside is very tiny and the door opening are very low, for a 6’2” person I struck my head several times. Also this is not a VRBO, it is a managed property and getting accurate information regarding bed layouts and rental car parking were tough. If you drive a rental prepare to pay an average of about $60-100 USD per day.
The location was exceptional for old historical Kyoto neighborhood.

The house was a traditional japanese house, plenty of space for 5 people like us. The location was perfect, walking distance from the best places and the bus stop right outside the street was useful!

Well cared for and quite nice.
3 bedrooms and 3 shower rooms. A private Japanese garden and a tatami room. Lovely wooden beams. Wonderful location near Kiyomizu-dera, and walking distance from Gion district. Bus stop very near. The place is just one of many corporate properties -- but the corporation/family still manages to communicate well and provide a relatively warm experience.

Excellent property/location
Stayed for 5dys for family of 7, having 3 Bathrooms was rare in Japan. Exceptionally clean, instructions translated to English w/ labels, tourist info @ door. Little amenities very appreciated, umbrellas, tea and coffee, salt and pepper and olive oil, so you don't have to rush getting them. Very quiet neighborhood, walk out to bus in 2 mins. I would rent again if in Kyoto. Owner responds promptly by e mail.
thanks again to allow us to stay

Great for larger groups
Great location, with plenty of room for a large family or friends. We had four adults and this was the only place in Japan that had more than one bathroom at a reasonable price. Close to a taxi stand, train stations, and shopping. Would definitely stay here again.
