The Great Room with gas fireplace opens up to the dining room and fully appointed kitchen with a dishwasher and 2 refrigerators. Three levels offer privacy and allow for groups to engage in multiple activities as well as conversations. Accommodates up to 10 guests in beds - Max 6 Adults for a maximum of 10 is at least 4 are children under 12. Large Deck. Gas Grill. HOT TUB. No extra charge for Kayaks/Canoes/mountain bikes. Bring your own gear. Swimming area. Fish right off the dock. Rent or bring your own boat. Large green space on the lake. Fire Pit and picnic tables. Game Room. 2,000 sq. ft. EXPLANATION of pricing policies: Increasing guest count increases the nightly rate - The base rate for Avalon Villa includes 4 guests. Additional adults and children are $33/person/night. Maximum occupancy is 10 if at least 2 are children. Additional guests up to the maximum will add to the nightly rate at $33 per person, per night with a minimum of nights equal to the requirements of the booking regardless of the nights stayed. For example: Avalon Villa nightly rate is $299. If you have 4 guests the cost stays at $299. If you have 5 guests, the rate is $299 for the first 4 and an additional $33 for each guest over 4 for a total of $99 added for a total rate of $498 per night. If you have 10 guests the rate is $563 per night. We have this pricing in place so that groups of 4 are not paying the rate of $563 per night that the larger group would pay.
The name and ages of all guests are required on our rental agreement. You may update your guest count prior to check-in, and please make sure it is accurate. The guest count will be verified by staff and we don't want a problem after you have checked in. Please read our rental agreement and understand the penalties.

This home was perfect for our annual family getaway. The property was absolutely lovely with the lake and kayaks available. The adults loved the jacuzzi while the layout had the perfect sleeping area for our grandchildren . And if the home, amenities and setting wasn’t enough the hiking in Hocking Hills was awesome!

This beautiful home and setting was great to look at, but not so great to live in. Place advertised two refrigerators. when we arrived, one was unplugged, so we plugged it in and waited for it to cool. it never did. We ended up with thawed meat and had to use our largest cooler for beverages. Not an ideal situation with the high temps outside… Second issue was a gas detector which kept going off. We were eventually told it was faulty and should have been removed from the property. Third situation was the patio door handle which came apart. Luckily the guys had proper tool to put it back together. Biggest disappointment was the water pressure. At times there was barely a trickle. We were careful to not run dishwasher or washer when someone wanted a shower, but the upstairs bathroom shower was still useless despite our precautions.

We had a great time with our children and grandchildren. The house was very clean and comfortable. Lots of activities for everyone, kayaking, corn hole, air hockey, and just plain relaxing and enjoying the view.

Having the kayaks was wonderful. Fun fishing off the back yard and just a lovely view. After miles of hiking the hot tub was a blessing

My family had the opportunity to stay at Avalon Villa for a long weekend and we had the most amazing stay. There was a total of six of us and there was more than enough space. The kitchen was fully equipped, there were plenty of gathering spaces but inside and out. Bedrooms were comfortable and cozy. The house was very clean. My favorite part was the outstanding views of Lake Logan. The house is just minutes away from the state park and tons of hiking opportunities. The property also has access to multiple outdoor activities such as kayaks, canoe, mountain bikes, corn hole and more. Evelyn and team are super responsive and easy to work with. The hot tub was going to be out of commission during the stay and they contacted early to inform and offered a discount or full refund. I am certainly glad we chose to stay and will be returning in the future. Cut Above Cabins - Thank you for sharing your awesome lake front property with my family, we made great memories!

The house was not only beautiful, it was homey, comfy, well equipped and situated on the bank of Lake Logan.
We cooked a full Easter dinner in the large, well equipped kitchen and ate outside on the spacious deck over looking the lake. The bedrooms, and the beds, are large and comfortable. We had 7 adults and 2 children and we were very comfortable. The kids had an Easter egg hunt inside and out!!

In January, we had the pleasure of gathering with our family at Avalon Villa, and our experience left us delighted with both the home and its prime location. The panoramic view of the lake was simply enchanting. The chilly weather prevented us from fully enjoying the back porch but we will enjoy it on our next visit!
The immaculate condition of the home was noteworthy, and the well-stocked kitchen added to the overall convenience. Spanning three levels, each equipped with one or two bedrooms and a bathroom, suited our family perfectly.
A highlight for us was the expansive sofa and recliner, accommodating everyone comfortably. Additionally, we made the most of the nearby trails for some invigorating hikes. The reliable wifi was a boon, especially considering the lack of connectivity during our drive into Hocking Hills.
We are already looking forward to returning in warmer weather to relish the home and its surroundings once again.

The views over the lake just take your breath away. The views alone are worth staying here, but on top of that, having access to kayaks and canoes, being a
short distance to all the Hocking Hills famous hikes, having game tables and a hot tub, plus plenty of room
for our group of 10 made it outstanding!
The management team has thought of so many extras to make your stay perfect. They have firewood close by for you to purchase, yard games like Jenga, croquet and bocce to play, and they have plenty of adult life jackets for the kayaks and canoes all at the ready. They also have adult mountain bikes. Be sure to bring child life jackets and bike helmets if you want to use these items.
One thing I didn’t notice that may help you is they have a drip coffee maker versus a keurig, and they provide filters, so just pack your coffee!
There are a ton of pillows and blankets available so you can choose your favorite, and they have a pack n play and high chair if you need it too. I didn’t use these, but I thought it was nice of them to have for those with babies.
Communication with Evelyn was outstanding. She was very quick to reply to any message I sent and was very proactive in getting us the information we needed!

The four of us stayed at Avalon Villa for a girls getaway. The home was perfect for our needs and the lakefront setting is lovely. The beds were comfy, the linens were luxurious and we enjoyed the pristine hot tub. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable time together.

I was amazed at the cleanliness of the property inside and out. It had everything a family with children could want. A wonderful covered back porch, kayaks, canoes, fishing, fire pit and hot tub. This was the perfect home and location for a quick family weekend with our 3 married children and 2 young grandkids. The kids with the newborn were able to be in the lower level room without disturbing the rest of the family with midnight feedings. 4 year old thought the car bed was the best thing ever.
We spent most our time outside on the extra large back deck overlooking the lake, kayaking, fishing, enjoying the hot tub and s’mores at the fire pit. The lake was quiet and so peaceful. The large great room was perfect for OSU game watching and family games. Beds were very comfy and we had everything we needed for a memorable stay! Owner was very reaponsive.

Would definitely stay again. The original listing said there was more sleeping arrangements then there actually were. We felt the "beach" area was misrepresented and we were unaware that the canoes/kayaks were shared. Other than that we were very pleased with our stay.

Cut Above Cabins was the perfect long weekend getaway! One of the best features was the lakeside view and easy access to Lake Logan. The back deck was a perfect area to enjoy morning coffee or dinner with friends & family. The cabin was very clean and included many amenities that made it feel like home. We really enjoyed the resources provided for outdoor activities, as well. This included kayaks and canoes, life vests, bicycles, cozy fire pits, and hot tub. The cabin was also very child friendly. With such a convenient location, we were able to explore many of the great things Hocking Hills has to offer. We are very thankful for the time spent at Avalon Villa and will have memories to remember forever.

Outstanding. As advertised and depicted. Well stocked and appointed. We had 7 adults and a 10 year old boy for 3 days. Great communications from start to finish with the owner. Great view of Lake Logan. We took advantage of the covered porch, hot tub, and kayaks every day. Close to all the exciting things in Hocking Hills State Park. One group went hiking one afternoon and had a great time. This was our first total family gathering since Covid and so glad we chose the Cut Above Cabins.

My book club went here right before Christmas for a reading retreat. The house was really decorated for the season! This property was great, and the host was really responsive and flexible. One thing is to remember to pack socks, as this is a no-shoes house.

We really enjoyed our stay - properly was exactly as described and perfect for our family of 7. ~10 minute drive to all prime hiking trails and under 10 minutes to Walmart. Property had ample pans, pots, plates etc. Hot tub was extra nice and we loved the lake views. Perfect!

The cabin was great. It was clean and very well maintained. Pretty much you have everything you need in the kitchen. Each bathroom had shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and lots of towels. Very nice Game room and The hot tub it’s right outside the game room.

The house was all that was advertised. We were there right before Christmas when the temperatures reached - 5 F . Unfortunately that confined us to the inside but there was able room for my kids and their families to keep busy. The house was decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. The owners must be really into Christmas given the care and level of decoration. My grandkids really enjoyed the decorations and despite the weather all had a good time. Although there was a light snow at night the Maintenance crew had the roads and walks cleared in a timely manner. This property being right on the water would be a great summer place to rent. Something we are considering if there is availability. 5/5 for the ratings.

The property was a perfect size and location for our family gathering. The site was beautiful and the home was well equipped with anything and everything we needed. We baked a birthday cake, grilled out and watched sports and movies and played games...so glad that we found it (last minute change from a flooded property that weekend so we were appreciative that the owners would work with us with a last minute need)

Property was as advertised. The house was very spacious. There is a private property adjacent to this home which was surprising to see. There were a number of house rules which we thought were a bit excessive but I suspect they might have had some bad visitor experiences in the past. Home was clean and amenities were plentiful. Lake Logan was very nice and we liked the access to canoes and kayaks.

Family reunion- The house was exactly as it was pictured and location was peaceful and quiet. They supplied all the amenities we needed for our five day stay. Great place!
