A glorious location and a very comfortable home. We four really enjoyed everything about the stay.
The roof area has no shade so it was tough to use without that during the day and no lighting for use at night.
The AC worked great when it was humid.
Kitchen was sparse on spices and small details, but thats a nit.
Note, there is no swimmable beach on the island so you look at the ocean but at this home there is a concrete wall between you and the water not a sandy beach to walk into the water .

This is a beautiful property and a perfect location, but what really stands out is the service from this property management company. The house was cleaned three times during our stay, with fresh towels and linens provided each time. We mentioned that the hose on the side of the house was leaking when we washed our feet and it was making the pool deck slippery, and there was someone there within the hour to repair it. Mary was exceptionally responsive to every question or request, prior to and during our stay. This is a great, quiet place for two couples. It's pretty close to town but feels private (although people do walk past on the beach now and then). Also loved the rooftop, especially in the morning when it's shaded. This is a well maintained property and a great launching spot for all that Ambergris Caye has to offer!

We had the most relaxing time at Casa Miradores. The home is set up with everything you could possibly need to make it just like home with the exception of the fabulous few you have of the ocean from the Master bedroom and the main living area. The pool area has enough shade for those who are fair skinned to be able to hang out without the worry of getting burned. The master bedroom matress is king size and on the soft side and the guest bedroom is a queen size harder matress that is very comfortable. King was the main pool maintenance tech.and he stayed on top of keeping the pool in good working condition daily. If something needed attention Mary, the property manager was an email away and on top of it asap. Checking in and checking out was a breeze. Angela kept the house cleaned inside and out and there were other staff that would stop by to take care of whatever needed taken care of. All in all the property is beautiful and well kept up. The staff are top notch and i need to thank Mary for all the many questions she had to answer before we even arrived. We would definitely return to Casa Miradores in fact I cant imagine returning to San Pedro and not staying there. I would also suggest three of our favorite places to go while we were there were Someplace South, Drink and Drive and Toast...all within walking distance as well. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

It had everything we needed. House was clean and kitchen well stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, untensils we could need. Wifi worked well.

This house is the perfect place for a quiet get away. The view of the ocean was so relaxing we could have sat and watched the water all week. If you want a bit of Belizian life, it's a 5 minute golf cart ride away.

We had a great and restful vacation. Mary answered all questions and went above and beyond. It is close into San Pedro if you want to go in & eat, drink, shop, etc. and quiet enough if you want to relax in the pool to enjoy the view. Highly recommend that you visit!

Off the beaten path. Quiet, quaint, and peaceful. Perfect for 2 couples. Close enough to San Pedro to take in the sights and sounds, and far enough away to relax in the evenings and nights. Nice pool outside, clean, comfortable, and our idea of sitting in the breeze looking out at the Caribbean daily. Could have stayed longer!

An Airy and well-thought-out home. Such a delightful place to relax.
Adult playground with no annoyances.
Alvin, "the black bird and his family," kept us entertained. He loves tortilla chips. The lizards enjoy a small slice of watermelon or fruit tossed to them. We will always remember this vacation.

This is a special place, everything you need, best communication with managers. Clean, Comfortable and perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Miradores! We liked the location south of town - close enough that we were just a short ride to restaurants and bars, but quiet, without lots of traffic, noise, or people. The house was larger than we anticipated. It was very clean and had everything we needed (except laundry detergent, which I was aware of ahead of time). Management was very responsive prior to and during our stay for our questions and needs. Pool is probably 12X20ft - again, larger than we expected. House is within walking distance to Someplace South Cafebar. We would gladly stay here again upon our return.

The property itself was very nice and beautiful. Unfortunately, the house lacked in supplies such as toilet paper, salt, and pepper, napkins, and most importantly bottled water. The house was semi-clean when we arrived for our 10 day stay but not detailed clean. We had to buy our own toilet paper, and after the bottled water was used, they did not supply More nor did they fail to say if you wanted housekeeping you had to pay for it. At the cost of our daily stay there we expected, at least to have that done due to the verbiage given us it look like housekeeping was included. The pool equipment was extremely noisy it ran 24 hours a day which made it difficult to sleep at night. The master bedroom bed was completely wore out and extremely uncomfortable!
The location was excellent, and the grounds were beautiful But overall we would not rent this house again.

The photos are spot on with how wonderful this villa was. The home was clean and incredibly decorated. Everything in the description was true. Greatly enjoyed the pool and patio, we spent a lot of time outside. The upstairs patio was fun to watch the sunsets on. While the dock wasn’t theirs we did have access to it and enjoyed watching the fish. It was quiet and private but still close to town and all the great restaurants and bars. Overall an incredible place to stay.

The house was just as pictured. It was very private, there are neighbors but not too close. The location is 5 min cart ride to town but it’s on a secluded little road so feels like your almost alone. The house is really nice! The master bedroom is floor to ceiling windows so amazing views of water and master closet is unreal. The property managers stayed in touched for arrival and departure and were easy to work with. You won’t be disappointed if you choose this house!

The home is lovely and as described. The sargasso was bad but wasn’t a problem for us because we prefer to watch the ocean from a beachfront pool. The sargasso appeared to be leaving by Wednesday. The water at the end of pier is shallow however without a ladder getting out is tricky or walk back to the beach in the water. We made friends w neighborhood dogs which made us miss our boys less. Book a private tour of Hol Chan w Under Da Sea you won’t be disappointed Nahuel is awesome. Gustavo kept the pool clean and cool and Terry arranged to have a golf cart ready for us at the airport. We had no issues w mosquitoes thanks to heavenly breezes. We’d come back in a minute!

Came down to dive with a couple of friends and found this property to be convenient to all services and restaurants, next to the best resort on the island and extraordinary well furnished and clean. The housekeepers Gustavo and Guadeloupe were so helpful. The best part was the Thai massage and the Taste of Thailand restaurant. Perfect place for four people. Five stars all around.

Gorgeous property!
Absolutely beautiful home in amazing location. We spent the majority of our time relaxing by the pool and beach. Local dive operators picked us up right at the private dock. We will definitely make a return trip!

Fabulous House
The house itself was wonderful and loved the infinity pool! Great location close enough to San Pedro to get into town with a golf cart (which we had minor issues with and they fixed ASAP!). Would definitely come again!

A lovely and exceedingly comfortable home. We arrived late and spent a warm first night. The maintenance crew noticed that the house temperature was very warm and came out unprompted to fix the Air conditioning. We had a small problem with the grill and again the crew came out and addressed it immediately. The water cooler was great but needs a thorough cleaning - there was some mold in the interior when we changed the tank. A great great stay

Peaceful Retreat close to town
Very nice and clean house. Right on the water as described. Unfortunately the area does really have a beach to walk into the water and the palapa is off limits. However the pool is amazing and it was great to just float in the pool and relax. The house appears well maintained. As the other reviews said, the roof is really bright and at night get hit hard with bugs so we really didn’t go up there. The town was far enough away not to be bothered by noise but close enough of you wanted to jet down and get some food in the golf cart. They are definitely available for anything you need, including the massages I booked through Erma. Don’t use Elliot, use Erma. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in a nice quiet and relaxing spot in Belize. I will definitely be back to rent. Thank you Terry!

This was my first:- Trip to belize, ambergris, or any small relatively non-highly commercialized island- booking with VRBOTypically when I travel, it's with my daughter and we are in all-inclusives, or hotels. This trip was adults only with a couple of friends. What a great time we had! The house was everything we needed it to be and made for a memorable trip. The Good-Pool!-Cable/satellite was great as we were there during the hockey playoffs. It was a bit of a challenge finding the games on in a bar in town (even at a sports bar). The only one we found had nobody there and the menu seemed bleh. -Check in/out was very easy, met someone at Mata Rocks which is close. -Beds and furniture were all comfy. Nicely decorated. Well appointed kitchen. -We had two different cleaning ladies. One the first 3 days and another the second 3 days. They were both great and had no issues. -No issues with seaweed or smell. Beach next door was cleaned the day we got there. The Meh:-You definitely need to rent a golf cart. -Putting a limit on the AC is a bit much. I'm paying for the place to be my house for the week. It's up to me to set the temp comfortable to me.-The mosquitoes - Our greeter told us the grounds were fogged for mosquitoes the morning we got there. Either it wasnt, or fogging does absolutely nothing. When we got home the driver got the short stick (locking golf cart) while the rest of us bolted to the door before the cart stopped. Slowing down to turn into the driveway you had 10+ on you. Out back by the pool was not an issue as long as the breeze was blowing. If no breeze we stayed in the pool submerged to our noses with bug spray on our hair. People and dogs walking by on the "beach" (not a problem for us) stirred the mosquitoes back even with a breeze. You definitely need to bring bug spray. Having said this, it did not ruin our vacation. I've heard this is normal for islands, just not something Ive experienced. -Toiletries - We were all surprised no soap or shampoo was provided, especially given they own a resort that provides it. We would have brought our own but instead had to pay crazy prices for more than we needed at local store. Bring Yours. -Request to open gate on pier took a day and a half.-Roof looked amazing and it is - but wasnt very useful. It's blazing hot/blinding white during the day and at night - mosquitoes. Improvements - Telescope - awesome night sky!Umbrella for roofWorking SUP/KayaksSmall Cooler

Terry Anderson, the owner, worked out details for me to meet Elliot, his property manager, at their other property Mata Rocks and he would take me to Casa Miradores. We arrived and Casa Miradores was everything you see in the pictures, absolutely stunning!!! Elliot went through an orientation with me, which included locking doors and the safe, which towels to take to the beach and which to use at the beach, and have us a cell phone to use to the contact Elliot if we needed anything while we were there. The first couple of days went great and we really enjoyed the house. The third morning came and we got ready to head out as the daily housekeeper got there. I asked her if she was the one that cleaned the house everyday because I wanted to tip her at the end of the week, she said yes she was. We checked the doors as we did EVERY time we left the house and they were all locked and then we headed out for the day about 11 am. We returned after a long day of exploring the island and found our iPads, laptop, digital camera, multiple sunglasses, and a phone charger missing and the side door unlocked. The only thing missing from the House was the cell phone they gave us which didn’t actually work. I immediately sent Terry multiple messages through VRBO and we contacted Elliot and the police. Terry didn’t reply until I messaged him again the day of check out, Elliot and the police showed up promptly. The police weren’t much help and told us to come to the station the next day. We didn’t feel safe so I told Elliot we needed to stay at the resort which he obliged. The room at the resort had water all over the floor and smelled bad but it was midnight or so and my nerves were shot so we stayed. Elliot took us to the police station the next morning and they took our statement. We then went to the property with the police and CSI to take prints and they both told me they suspected the housekeeper. Terry finally responded to me the day of check out and told me to call him the next day. I spend the next day in the airport so I called him the next day. He immediately seemed annoyed I called him and when I suggested a refund he scoffed and blamed the whole thing on us. He said not only the housekeeper but Elliot and another employee said we left the doors unlocked and asked if we’d rather have stayed outside! His employees are the only ones claiming we left doors open, after I requested nobody enter the house after the incident!

Peaceful, gorgeous home with great location
We recently visited Casa Miradores with another couple, and were very pleased with the location, setting and accommodations. The home is lovely and clean, and is in the best location, in my opinion, after seeing the whole island. It's just south of town where it is nice and peaceful, but still not too far away to drive in town with the golf cart. Beautiful view and pool, and overall just a great find! Mata Rocks staff was awesome and helpful when planning excursions. We did a fantastic catamaran tour with Searious Tours that included 2 snorkeling stops and a trip to Caulker Caye. I highly recommend doing that-it was amazing!
The only improvement I would suggest would be to install some blinds for privacy in the Master bedroom. Other than that, it is fantastic!

Recharge at Casa Miradores, a wonderful beachfront Ambergris Caye Home--wish I was there now!
I had to write a review as soon as I returned home from our idyllic Belize vacation...Casa Miradores is in a GREAT location and was a perfect get-away retreat for my husband and I. The home looks just like it does in the pictures--a few times, as people were walking by, they would tell us what a gorgeous home this is and inquire if it could be rented. The ensuite master can be closed off from the hallway, so if you are two couples renting this place, you would still have a lot of privacy. Some of the wonderful relaxing things we did was sit under the dock palapa every morning and drank our coffee and enjoyed the sunrise, trips into San Pedro for shopping (about a 10 - 15 minute golf cart ride), cooked many meals at home and enjoyed them on patio (the kitchen is fully equipped), rented bikes from Mata Rocks and swimming in the pool. The house is located south of San Pedro and is perfectly located far enough away for a peaceful stay and close enough to the town for fun. If you are looking to recharge your batteries somewhere relaxing, this is the place. The housekeeping service was great, as was the service provided by the Mata Rocks staff who helped oversee our stay (the complimentary phone was VERY helpful, especially when our golf cart had a flat on the way to town). We also had very charming visits from a neighborhood dog who was very polite and sweet. I would love to return to Belize and Casa Miradores. Loved our stay and would like to thank the owners and Mata Rocks for the hospitality and amazing experience!

Must Stay
Just beautiful!
The house was in a prefect location, close to town but far enough to have peaceful evenings and mornings (we were gone in the afternoons, cave tubing, zoo, Mayan ruins, swimming with sharks/rays and snorkeling). You can walk up the beach for dinner or drinks. Plus Terry Anderson and his staff were just wonderful. Booked all of our trips though the Mata Rock Resort and they picked you up at the dock in front of the house, just to easy.
The people of San Pedro were all very friendly. This is a 'must do' location.... While there you must stop in at Robin's Jerk Chicken (on the way to the house) best jerk chicken you have ever tasted! Plus Robin (John) will make you feel like you are having dinner in his backyard (had dinner here a couple of times it was so good).
You can't go wrong with this rental!

GREAT Stay at Casa Miradores
My husband and I stayed at Casa Miradores with another couple for 5 nites June 6 - 11, 2010 - WE LOVED IT! The house is so great we had a hard time venturing out of it. We went boating (reef fishing, snorkeling, bonefishing, lunch) 3 days - they pick you up right at the dock out front. The folks at Mata Rocks Resort (same owner of both) set us up with our guides - highly recommend John & Nester! The view from the Master Bedroom is spectacular. We all just really enjoyed hanging out by the pool and relaxing. We did have a great meal one night at Victoria House as well as lunches at Wild Mango's and Blue Water Grille. Overall, it was an amazing and memorable time in Belize. We would stay at Casa Miradores again - great location just south of town and very convenient as well as quiet! A+!!!
