This was our second time staying at this cottage. Once again, I was very impressed with the cleanliness and all the extras the house has to offer. My kids loved fishing and swimming in the lake. The owner was extremely easy to communicate with too and just lovely.

We enjoyed the property very much. Great beach area.
Unfortunately it wasn't super warm a good part of the week but we still managed to get in the water a couple times. Fishing was slow at times but we caught some big bass from the dock and many bluegill. Loved the kayaks and the gazebo. There's a rolling, patio fireplace on the beach and we decided to take advantage on our last full day there, which was nice and relaxing, but the entitled guy two houses down doesn't like it burning when he's "entertaining" guests.

Previous reviews mentioned this cottage felt like staying at Grandma’s and that’s exactly how it felt in the best ways :) It was very clean and you can tell the house has been well taken care of. My kids loved the kayaks and docks to fish off of too. And the neighbors were very friendly. Overall, a great stay!

We had a great stay. We loved the lake and our stay. We enjoyed everything about it. We would highly recommend it. This is our first Vrbo rental and it was great!

Roger and Patty's cottage was perfect for a family holiday! Simple and quiet - very nice neighbors on both sides and location that was ideal to unplug and enjoy "summer camp" at the lake. Swimming/raft, kayaking/canoeing, board games/cards - even a stereo with turntable and 8-track player (and record collection)! The only tricky part is that there is no washer/dryer, so I would definitely recommend taking advantage of their linen package (we did and it worked out well)! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

It is a quiet cabin, not fancy but clean and a beautiful setting. Perfect if you are there for the view and the lake. We enjoyed the kayaks and the dock fishing. Very relaxing. Locations was great for day trips to surrounding area and TC. Enjoyed "not" having wifi. Reading relaxing and swimming!

We loved this home. Perfect setting, very clean, great access to the water. Very responsive and welcoming hosts. The home itself was very nostalgic with some of the decorations. If I am being picky - some of the lower beaches on the trees in front of the deck may be cut to allow for a better view of the lake. Other then that it was perfect!

We had a great time on Spider Lake! We were able to rent a pontoon boat and explore the coves and islands of this lovely lake. The cottage was comfortable for our family of 6. WiFi would have been nice for my husband to do his work check-ins, but we managed just fine.
Kayaks, canoe, paddle and row boats were all used and enjoyed. We even got some fishing in.
Thanks for a great week!

We had a lovely time. The cottage/cabin is old but clean. You have to love the nostalgic feel of being in an older place like this. It is relaxing and you have one of the best waterfronts on the lake. No A/C, no dishwasher, no washer/dryer and small beds but all of that is clearly in the description so you know what you're signing up for. The hosts are friendly, warm and accommodating.

Our family had a wonderful time at this lake house. Lots to do for families both onsite and around the area. Would highly recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay on Spider Lake. The lakefront is awesome at this property and the water is great for swimming and kayaking! We mostly stayed on the lake, but Traverse City is just 20 minutes away for a fun excursion. The cabin is comfortable and no frills. Be aware that there is not a washing machine available.

This is a charming and well cared-for property that feels comfortable, like grandma’s home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here after our wedding. Relaxing on the deck felt like we were in our own treehouse overlooking the lake. We were very happy with all of the amenities available although my musician husband would have loved for the piano to have been in tune! Lol. We had plenty of privacy but also enjoyed meeting the neighbors on either side who are friendly and available if there are any questions. Thanks for a memorable honeymoon getaway!

We picked Spider Lake to visit with friends who own a cabin there. Loved all the Lake amenities like canoe and kayaks. We used them every day. Best of all was the sandy beach! Our boys loved playing in sand and swimming. Cabin was fully stocked and well cared for. Very thoughtful owners who gave us a tour and remained accessible with questions. We had a lovely family vacation!

I loved staying at this cozy cabin. It is really clean and comfortable. We like how there is a lot to do in the area or if you want to just relax by the lake it's perfect. The views are spectacular out on the porch. Last time I enjoyed kayaking and getting ice cream at this place in downtown Traverse City. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this peaceful, well-kept cottage. The lake is very clean and beautiful, and even the air is fresh and pine scented! Evening canoe and kayak trips with the boats provided were unforgettable.
Downtown Traverse city isn't far, but I had no reason to leave the lake! I highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to getaway and relax surrounded by nature. You can often hear the loons!

The property gave me a perfect cabin feel with a great view of Spider Lake . It was fully equipped for everything . It was convenient to be close to Traverse City for food shopping , movie rental and seeing the sites . Although there wasn't cable programming we had some local channels with ABC, NBC and CBS and I was able to watch the Ohio State vs Penn State game which was upsetting . I brought equipment for fishing and was able to use the rowing boat to fish the lake . I had two great fish dinners ! You can't get a better taste than fresh fish . And that is why I love to fish . And I love to fish in clear clean waters like Spider Lake . The property sits up on a hill so if you have any walking handicap or heart issues it may be difficult to get up and down the steps to get to the dock . But , like I said the view is great right from the living room.

Loved this place!!! My husband and I had an awesome time. Morning coffee on the deck, kayak at sunset, and bonfire and wine at night! Close to Traverse City and there is plenty to do and see there. We reallu didn't want to leave this place to go into the city because we had so much fun at the cabin. If your looking to get away from it all this is the place. No WiFi or cabel but we didn't even want or need it. We listened to the radio and enjoyed the many music CD's.

We had a great time! The owners of the property were VERY nice and helpful. Private beach and use of dock with row boat, paddle boat and canoe were wonderful. The house was very neat and clean with a breath taking view of the lake, just as pictured. Plenty of things to do, places to eat and things to see within a short drive. Would highly recommend and we hope to be able to go back again:)

Perfect little getaway situated on a beautiful Lake. Close to traverse city without being in the city.

I enjoyed my time at this property very much. The nights are very quiet and the sandy shallow area is perfect for swimming/lounging. The owners are good people. I'd highly recommend it.

Over the 2016 July 4th holiday we were guests at this beautiful resort! We enjoyed the pristine lake as well as relaxing down by the beach. The cottage and main home are comfortable and the view is fantastic! There are many local attractions and we were fortunate to watch the Blue Angel's Air show down at the bay. The lodgings were very clean and the attractive! There is an lovely outdoor gazebo as well as a separate table and chairs so that meals can be enjoyed outside as well as inside. The living room in the main house is very large and spacious. I encourage you to create some lifetime memories at Spider Lake Haven! You won't regret it!
