Our 2nd trip was incredible. Visited so many amazing spots and enjoyed the sunrise and sunset on the lake. Missed the fish but it was fall and they were deep and not biting near the surface. Great food, fun and relaxation. This place has it all!! See you in the fall. Lloyd and family

This was one of the houses we rented for family for my wedding weekend! The deck has a stunning view, the couch is the most comfortable couch you will ever sit on….the kitchen is brand new and the large table is awesome to sit around

It was a fabulous little getaway. We have fun on the water with paddleboards, kayaking, and swimming in a beautiful setting. The house's location is perfect and well-equipped for our stay.

House is right on Lake Sutherland with amazing views. Everything you need is right there in the house. We were able to cook meals, bbq and there were kayaks, paddle boards and a canoe for use. It was a great home base for exploring Lake Crescent.

We had a wonderful stay at the lake property. However it is taking 2 weeks to get our refund back. Moreover, we were asked to either put down more for a deposit or buy a supplemental insurance policy (which we did). Called VRBO to inquire and they state it is their policy that they can take up to 40 business days to refund a deposit.

Fine, but the toaster oven is apparently kaput . . . We tried to use it but it started to smoke so we just stopped it and then unplugged it.

We had an amazing and relaxing time at the lake house. The hime had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The view of the lake and mountains was breathtaking especially at sun set. The water was clear and cool but not cold. We grilled out and played on the lake. The paddle boards and kayaks were good fun for my brother and me. Everyone else enjoyed hanging out on the deck laughing at us trying to get up on the paddle boards as this was our first time trying. The house is a but touched away and felt very provate and peaceful. We all agreed we would love to come back and stay longer.

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. The house was clean and comfortable and the views were spectacular. I did not want to leave.

It's a great location, with wide waterfront access to the lake. Overall, it's clean and reasonably tidy. And, it's in the last stage of it's life. The deck and docks feel borderline unsafe to walk on from settling and weathering. The double-wide itself is clean and reasonably comfortable, but it's tired. The shower in the master bathroom leaked the whole time we were there. The recently laid carpet and vinyl flooring are of moderate quality. You can feel the carpet staples when walking barefoot and the vinyl flooring would buckles from expansion when it got warm.
If we didn't pay a premium for the property ($750 a night after fees), I'd be okay with it. But, I've stayed at much nicer VRBOs with waterfront access for less and would recommend looking around before you agree to such a hefty price for a worn-out double-wide.

Relaxed,fun family time
Plenty to do on the lake, but lots of time and a peaceful place to just relax. Easy to make meals for 10.

Great Location
The view and water toys were fantastic. Exactly what we were looking for. That being said, the house could use some updating. Our feet found carpet staples on multiple occasions and we found the beds/pillows to be too soft. If you are looking for a great deck to spend your days at, while having all the lake toys you could think of, this is a great place for you.

A dream vacation
We had the most wonderful stay. The views are breathtaking and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the lake. Would stay here again!

Spacious & Clean
Beds were comfortable and linens were new and clean. Some nice updates have been done that are not updated on the VRBO site - new kitchen counters and kitchen appliances and cupboards are painted light blue. I am hoping bathrooms are next on the update list. The showers have new shower heads, but the showers themselves are circa 1970 and the master shower is the smallest shower I have ever used. Carpet in the cabin is in great condition but likely not installed by professionals and needs to be tacked down in several places. There is minimal furniture - no side tables in living room (drinks can't be set on the floor because carpet is pretty plush). There was one small round table in the corner that we moved over and used as a coffee table. The master has no dressers. With only a few cubbies in the closet, we had piles of our clothes on the floor so we were not having the live out of our suitcase. The washer/dryer are also new - and huge!
After staying here we spend three nights on Lake Quinault and we were missing the space of this cabin. Plenty of room in the kitchen, dining room, master. etc. The deck is giant and having paddle boards was such a bonus. This is a very small lake - so beautiful in the morning! Great for younger kids wanting to explore with lake toys like paddle boards and paddle boats, but really no place to canoe. The pictures do not show this, but neighbors are very close. One side is obscured by the boathouse and bushes but the other is almost deck to deck with this cabin and then the cabin after that as well.
Five days before we left I sent a message to the owners letting them know what we were planning to do during our stay and asked for advice on which part of Crescent Lake they suggested we park, etc. and they never got back to us.
This is a great cabin for families with kids. It's spacious, clean, plenty of kitchen supplies, and on a lovely and manageable lake, not a far drive into Port Angeles for groceries or a meal out, and very close to Lake Crescent.

Amazing!
We loved this property so much we didn't want to leave! The house and location are perfect and even better than the photos. Our stay here was my family's favorite stay out of all our lodgings during our 2 week roadtrip.

Great Family Summer Getaway
We had 2 families (Total: 4 adults, 4 kids... 10, 9, 7, & 7). It was a perfect setting for a fun weekend on the water. The kids swam, kayaked, paddle boarded, & canoed all weekend.

Amazing view!!
Our family of four (parents & 2 adult daughters) spent a long weekend at Birds Landing. The location, views and available water toys made our stay fun and relaxing.
There were a few issues, but I think those were one-offs, and nothing that adversely affected our stay.
There are some things that could use updating or maintenance, but again, there is nothing that will spoil your stay or enjoyment of this wonderful property. We will definitely stay again if we have the chance.

Amazing Location
We loved our stay and will be looking to book again next year. The location on the lake was perfect to enjoy the water. It was also close enough to Olympic National Park to allow for easy drives for hiking or visiting the coast.

Great location, house, and water toys!
We had a fantastic long weekend at this great lame house. Nice large kitchen was perfect for large family dinners, deck and beachfront were amazing. We loved having access to so many water craft, as well! Hope to be back soon.

Incredible lake and mountain views
The property is just as listed. The views are incredible from the deck and from inside the house. Had good time with family on the deck and kayaking. Took some memorable pictures. Sunset was awesome from the deck with beautiful colors in the sky as the backdrop.

Beautiful stay!
My brother and I stayed her for the start of fishing season. Two docks! We had such a great time. The place was super clean and a very comfortable couch to lounge after a day of catching fish. Well stocked kitchen and we had more than enough room.

My husband, two grown daughters and their boyfriends spent three nights at the Lake Sutherland property. Overall the experience was a good one.Worst experience: Walking into a 41 degree house!!! Took well over an hour to get it to a more reasonable temperature.Pros: 1) Large kitchen, dining room, family room, master bedroom and master bathroom; 2) Numerous high quality towels; 3) Location right on the lake with a beautiful view; 4) Very comfortable beds; 4) Very nice washer & dryer; 5) Ample supply of dishes and cookware; 6) Appliances were outdated but all worked great; 7) Convenience store across from neighborhood entranceCons: 1) Family room couch is large but rather uncomfortable. No support on one side and the pleather was peeling off. With all the space in the family room additional furniture (i.e., chairs, end tables, loveseat) would be a nice addition; 2) No house instructions on how to operate the wood burning stove or thermostat; 3) Little to no water pressure in the kitchen and guest bathroom (bathroom sinks and master bathroom shower had excellent pressure so we all showered there); 4) House was difficult to locate in the dark. There's an unmarked, sharp right turn at the bottom of a very steep, partially gravel drive; 5) Swarms of mosquitos! Luckily they were a non-biting kind. They covered the outside walls and windows, primarily in the evening, and migrated inside anytime a door was opened. Again, non-biting.We wished the weather had been more cooperative. I can only imagine how much fun this location would be during the summer with the canoe and docks.Overall we were quite pleased as there was more than ample room for our family to spread out, cook meals, gather around the dining room table to eat and play cards/games, and it was central to most locations we wanted to visit on the peninsula.

Amazing Location and House!
We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The house is large and has everything you need for a getaway. Most of the windows look out onto the lake and the deck is huge with a picnic table and lounge chairs - all perfect for enjoying the view. Kayaks and paddle boards offset the leisure with some exercise. Next time we'll bring fishing poles as well!

Relaxing lake house
We really enjoyed our stay! The lake views were awesome and so relaxing. The house is cute, clean, and comfortable with all of the key amenities that you might need. The location was great too - just a short drive from Port Angeles and we enjoyed checking out Lake Crescent and Salt Creek Park during one of the days.

Great vacation
Overall everything was perfect. My wife and I came up from San Diego and took our daughter and family to this great lake home. The only negative with 2 boys 5 and 3 they wanted to be by the water all the time but there were holes where the water had washed away that you could not see due to grass growing over them and that was a little dangerous. Again however a great property and being right on the water it was very relaxing. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

Beautiful views
We enjoyed our stay, the outside deck has a great view and it is very peaceful in the morning. The beds were comfortable, water was hot, washer and dryer were brand new. WiFi signal was strong. We enjoyed using the canoe, kayaks and paddle boards. During the daytime hours the lake is busy with boaters skiing and tubing and wave runners. Nice big charcoal Weber grill that we used several nights. I would say the online description was accurate, don’t be worried about staying here, plenty of room for a large group. Hosts are quick to respond to communications

Beautiful location perfect for our family
We love Lake Sutherland and the property was perfect for us. Since the house was all one level, our baby could crawl around everywhere. The beach and lake were beautiful and it was close to lots of hikes and Lake Crescent. The house was clean and we enjoyed sitting on the deck and eating outside. We can’t wait to come back!

Selfish me wants to give this one star
This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property. I’m already looking for availability next summer. It’s our family’s version of perfect. A little dated (in the best way) with the largest deck, most privacy and perfect amenities. Love this place.
