We LOVE this place! The house, the location and the hosts are absolutely wonderful! It is a perfect place to unwind and disconnect from the madness of the city or life in general--so peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful place and surroundings, nice and clean. Enjoyed watching the dolphins, the bald eagle, and other wildlife with some otters that came to visit one morning. Even though the rain didn't cooperate at times we did get to enjoy the pool a few days. Jen was really nice and answered any questions. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

We had the best week at this beautiful home! We loved the decor and felt right at home from the minute we arrived. This home has everything you would need or want, from the fully stocked kitchen to pool toys. We had beautiful weather all week and although it was very hot we didn't care because we floated in the pool every day looking at the amazing views. We took a half hour ride to Kilmarnock where there are restaurants, shops, and boutiques. We had lunch at Small Town Burger, one of the best burgers we ever had. Jen and Jim were readily available for any questions we had! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, we can't wait to return!

Great stay, property as described. Owner very responsive to texting or messaging on app. Road bikes to downtown Reedville more than once, fished, swam, built fires, enjoyed the pool, kayaking and sat around enjoying the views and calm breeze off the bay. Would definitely stay again.

House location is perfect. Right on the bay. Beautiful views. Pool looked nice but too cold to use. Plenty of room for our group. Comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of parking. Could have used a few more bath/hand towels but well supplied with all the essentials.

This property is an absolute bargain. Prettier then the pictures show. Very clean and everything you need is there. The amenities offered are unbelievable. We enjoyed the kayaks, waterboard, pool, and fire pit. This VRBO has set a high bar for all the others.

What a wonderful home with a crazy beautiful view! There were so many fun things to do even though it rained and stormed almost the entire time we were there. But the disco ball definitely put “the icing on the cake” for my granddaughter’s 11th birthday! So fun! We can’t wait to return to enjoy all the other fun outdoor activities we didn’t get to do!

This was our 4th time I think staying here and it's such a lovely house! All you need to relax! There was a late communication about bringing our own pool towels, but hopefully it will be communicated earlier in the future. Such a treasure in the Bay!

This was our second stay at The Baycation House and it did not disappoint. The house was stocked with essentials, the picturesque views of the bay are unmatched, and the pool was perfect. The six of us (four adults and two children) had plenty of space and loved that we could all fit comfortably at the large dining room table. Jen was quick to respond and offered great suggestions if you plan on venturing off their little slice of tucked away paradise. Already looking forward to our next stay at the “blue house” as my kids my deemed it! Thank you!

This house is just perfect for a family gathering! My three children and their spouses and our granddaughter stayed here for a long weekend to ring in the new year. There is enough room to spread out but still be together. We always had a jigsaw puzzle in the works on one table, a game going on the dining room table and some watching a movie on the TV. There are plenty of good books to read and games and puzzles to play. Lots of toys for kids too. The view is spectacular. We spent the first day and night gathered around the fire pit. The next two days were rainy but there was so much to do inside we just enjoyed the family time. The kitchen is the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen at a rental. They have everything you would ever need! Even a disco light , which we had on every night for dance parties with the 4 year old! We had a wonderful time ringing in the new year here!

Lovely, secluded bay house with gorgeous views of the bay. So relaxing to sit in the Adirondack chairs and watch the [occasional] boats sail by. Inside was typical Chesapeake Bay decor: very comfortable and homey. Unfortunately due to the dry weather, we couldn’t keep the falling pine needles and maple leaves out of the pool. And a caution if you are looking for a nearby restaurant Monday-Wednesday as most are closed until Thursday. Very enjoyable stay!

This was our first family vacation with everyone, and it was perfect. The view of the bay is just gorgeous, we could sit there for hours. The pool is amazing and the house is one of the cleanest I've been in. The kitchen is very well stocked, this mad it easy to have nice family dinners! We had a lovely time on vacation at this property. It was clean upon arrival and presented exactly as shown online. It is very well stocked as mentioned in previous reviews. We appreciated the professional grade cookware as we too enjoy cooking. The pool was great and we enjoyed the House Party disco lights, what a fun touch. The area is remote which we wanted, but some establishments nearby were only open Thursday- Sunday. We booked a boat ride with Allon Z Charters. It was fantastic and we highly recommend doing this for a few hours. Would definitely rent this place again. Thank you, Jen!

If relaxation in a quiet, picture perfect location is what you are looking for, look no further! This trip is exactly what our family needed! As soon as you enter the driveway you feel like you have entered another world. Your eyes will be drawn straight to the bay. The house was decorated in true bay-cation fashion and was equipped with everything we could have possibly needed. The swimming pool is what had us sold and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed watching all of the boats go by and were pleasantly surprised by all the “visitors” we had… Turtles, rabbits, lizards, we even saw a bald eagle. Typically by the end of the week everyone is ready to head back home, however, we all wished we could have stayed a little longer. Thank you Jen and Jim for sharing your lovely bay home with us! We hope to be back again soon!

We had a great visit. The house is in an excellent spot; right on the bay with great views and fishing. Add the pool, and you're set for the weekend! The house was very well stocked; I've never stayed anywhere that had EVERYTHING you could need. The owner is very attentive and quick to respond. We will definitely come back!!

We enjoyed our off-season escape to the historic town of Reedville thoroughly. Comfortable, thoughtfully decorated house with fantastic Bay frontage. A cook's stocked kitchen. Photos and description are accurate. Sits on dead-end road with only a few adjacent properties, all well-maintained. Owner very responsive. Look forward to returning.

Family weekend getaway that our dogs enjoyed too!

Our family and friends really enjoyed our stay at this home! The location was a bit far from us (we’re from Maryland) but it was well worth the drive. The location was peaceful and had water views everywhere. The house itself was very clean, had a fully stocked kitchen (even the knives were sharp), fire pit (which was great!), pool, board games, lawn games, and even dog toys. This was the most well stocked vacation home we’ve every rented. Our group was able to fish and we really enjoyed the pool. Our dogs really enjoyed the place as well and would definitely recommend this place if you have pets. Jen was easy to communicate with. The owners definitely put a lot of care and attention into their beautiful home. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Gorgeous views with all the amenities! We loved the pool, hammock, crabbing and kayaking! We appreciated the house had everything we needed and more for us and our dog! The flat yard and ramp made it easy for my older parents to get around. The kids loved the pool rafts, games and toys. The town of Reedville is really cute, enjoyed the ice cream shop and fresh seafood from a local restaurant. Bonus we saw dolphins! Jen was very helpful and made everything easy for us! Thank you for a wonderful trip!!

This house is everything we could have asked for and more! The location cannot be beat - water views everywhere! Our family (kids, adults and grandparents) enjoyed the heated pool, fire pit, dock, hammocks, games, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and just listening to the tides. Jennifer was a pleasure to communicate with and you can tell the owners have put a lot of care and attention into their beautiful home. We hope to stay here again!

Great family vacation!

Wonderful time at the Chesapeake Bay House. The house hosted three generations. There was plenty to do inside and outside. Both the front and back yards are huge. Lots of wildlife to watch. The grandchildren had fun playing with all the toys. Had a fire almost every night, cooked s'mores, and watched the ships in the channel. The pool was cold but we all got in. The kitchen was fully furnished with many utensils and pans. Jen was quick to respond. The downfall was a balloon got stuck in the ceiling fan so it was warm upstairs. Keep the fan on during your stay.

Fabulous vacation getaway on Chesapeake Bay!

Our party consisted of two grandparents, two parents, and two grandkids. With two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs, the layout of the house worked perfectly for us -- a big room to gather together when we wanted to, and full privacy when we wanted some separation. The views were fantastic, watching the full moon rise over the bay. Our hostess was always prompt with her responses when we had a question.

We came on a weekend that was unfortunately windy and rainy so we didn't really take in the full experience of the place. However, there were many things around the house that kept us busy. Also the owner, Jen, was nice and made sure that we had everything we need. Definitely we'd like to return to hopefully nicer weather.

Great place to meet for a beautiful change of scenery during this strange time. We had 9 adults and 1 infant and were able to separate baths and space by family members. The weather turned cold so we did not float around the pool as we had hoped but the yard and views are as depicted in the listing. The owner was super responsive and got the pool guy over after a storm to clean the pool for us. Well stocked kitchen and just such a comfortable and welcoming decor and furnishings. Highly recommend

We had a great time , weather wasn’t the greatest but we were able to enjoy the pool everyday . The ocean was to rough for us to use the kayaks. If I had to rent again I would do it earlier in the summer to ensure better weather . The house is very nice and has everything you need besides food . Loved the pool toys and the convenience of not having to bring dishes and pots and pans.
