About this house rental
Mariner's View is located on the Main channel next to Stone's View(VRBO# 572667); owning both properties enables us to offer our guests the option of a 14 bdrm stay experience to comfortably accommodate up to 34 for family gatherings or corporate events.
The location is convenient yet private. Located 125 yards from main street downtown, 1/2 mile to the area's grocery store, and a 1/4 mile from the marina and public boat ramp.
The house offers a panoramic view of Douglas Lake with the three highest peaks of the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine in the background, and a back yard that extends down to the lake. The back deck and patio are great areas to entertain a large group or just relax with a book and take in the view.
Dandridge is a mix of old and new, we have tried to accomplish the same at Mariner's View. Our goal was to keep the charm of this 1930's home with all the modern amenities to create a truly special place. There are three large gathering areas for entertaining, two kitchens, a 1,200 sq ft patio area (520 sq ft of the patio is covered), and a 550 sq ft deck off the living room area.
The home offers seven bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 17 and 5 full bathrooms and 1 half bath. The home has two master suite bedrooms with en-suite baths. The entire home has been professionally decorated with many luxury upgrades.
For the chef, the kitchen is well equipped with new and convenient appliances and cookware. There is plenty of capacity with two ranges and two refrigerators.
The best Mariner's View has to offer is the inner peace and joy you'll experience seating on the deck or patio watching the birds catch their lunch, the occasional deer and turkey grazing, or maybe a glimpse of bald eagles that nest in the area. We hope you visit us and experience the unique qualities of the Great Smokey Mountains, Douglas Lake, and historic Dandridge at Mariner's View.

I booked this beautiful home for our annual girls trip and all 13 women had nothing negative to say. The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated. We only had a couple of minor issues and the owner responded quickly. We loved the fact that there no bunk beds and everyone had a comfortable bed.
The view of the lake was amazing with the mountains in the distance.

The property was amazing. The house is large for a group gathering. We enjoy the Canadian geese flying over every morning, seeing the boats out on the lake. Downtown is historic and sweet, we went to many of the little places and saw some of the historic sites.

The house was nice and spacious. The owner was easy to get a hold of and very responsive. The one negative I would say is that there is no dock.

The house is amazing, easy check-in, owners are very responsive! Perfect place to spend the week with family. Wonderful views and location, we had a great time! Everything we wanted to do was close by, but you feel so secluded when you are at the house.

This location was perfect for my family’s Thanksgiving gathering! There were 13 of us total (8 adults, 5 kids ranging from two to fourteen). And everyone had plenty of space! The location of the home is seemingly quiet and reserved, however wonderfully placed. We enjoyed the quaint downtown (everything within walking distance)- the historic soda shop in the pharmacy (open weekdays- kids loved the ice cream!), the library two houses down, plenty of antique and niche stores, there’s even a local museum one street over. The girls in our group went on a few wines tours in the nearby pigeon forge /gatlinburg (I have to say, Tennessee is not known for their wine…but still fun). And the boys attended a UT football game (go Vols!!). Overall just a great location looking over the lake and with the Smokey mountains in the background. It would be hard to beat this location for a large group!

We had group of 13. The property is well maintained, the kitchen was stocked with great selection of pots, pans, dishes, spices!
We only had a couple of questions, which were answered by the owner quickly.

Kent, our host is great! He is responsive and welcoming. Ours stay was wonderful. The view is fantastic! The house is well appointed and the decor is beautiful. We love to cook together as a family and the kitchen at this location is great. Easy for multiple people to work in at the same time. We travel to Tennessee as a family at least once a year and will definitely rebook this property again!

The house is gorgeous, had plenty of room for our group of 5 couples for a family reunion, and the owner was fantastic with communicating. We only had one small issue with outdoor grill that was quite dirty, but we notified the owner, who said it would be addressed, Everything else though, exceeded our expectations.

We stayed here with 15 family members and had plenty of room for everyone. View is to die for and Dandridge is a great little town close to many activities.

House was beautiful with lake view. Wished there was some sort of dock but we made it work for kids. 4th of July was great fireworks show.

The house was beautiful & clean! Great location for spending time on the lake. We rented a boat, went to Dollywood and hit a lot of the tourist stuff in Pigeon Forge/Sevierville. Returned every night to this wonderful house that the adults and teen-agers as well loved. Everyone had some space to relax and enjoy themselves! 10/10 will be visiting again!

We had 13 family members for our vacation and had plenty of space and bathrooms. The view is amazing and the house was the cleanest VRBO home we’ve ever rented. The kitchen was well stocked. The local people were very friendly. We spent a day in near-by Pigeon Forge but otherwise enjoyed the house and lake. We usually don’t stay in the same place twice for vacation but we are already considering staying here again next year!

So many family memories made at this lakefront rental. The home was amazing, spacious for our group of 14 and clean. Kitchen was so well stocked...well both kitchens. More amenities than any rental we have ever used (and we have used many). We needed to bring nothing extra, just our clothes, cameras and food. Management communication was spot on!!! The view was heavenly. The firepit table was my favorite. The biggest part of our group loved the beds, they were a tad too soft for me but 11/12 adults loved them...the downstairs master shower made up for my lack of firm mattress, it was sooo relaxing. The house is in a nice quiet community with plenty of choices for meals out and Food City and Dollar General were just down the road for all your meal needs. Owner suggested H2O Watersports for our boat rental and he was spot on, we enjoyed a wonderful evening exploring the lake. The back yard has a flat area perfect for badminton or cornhole (however a masked bandit did make a midnight break with one of our corn filled bags). This vacation definitely ranks at the top of our list. If you're looking for a little lake paradise, look no further. This house is AMAZING!!!

Our family has grown so much its hard to find a house to accommodate us. But this house was perfect . It was beautiful, roomy and very clean. The view was amazing. The owner was very informative and easy to work with. Hope we can rent this house again.

Ken was very kind and communicative. The house was beautifully decorated with all the amenities you need to stay. There were plenty of towels and a washer and dryer. The sheets and bed linens were clean. (I always take my own linens, but this house was immaculate and I could tell the bed linens were clean!) The view of Douglas lake is gorgeous. We rented the house next door also for a wedding and we were not disappointed when we got there! I can't say enough about how great this house is! We plan to return to spend more time on the lake. There is plenty of room for everyone to have privacy if they need it or different gathering places for everyone's style. Rent this house! You will not regret it!

I stayed here with my family (cousins, sister, niece, great nieces...) and we had an absolutely perfect time. Other cousins came over in the morning to watch the sunrise and sip coffee on the deck. We flew a kite in the backyard, played bumper ball, and enjoyed meals together at the large kitchen table. Each of us commented on how comfortable our mattresses were. It was a perfect landing pad for us after a full day of fun with other members of the family. The home had lots of extra amenities for our use and we really appreciated the kindness of the property owners. It was a fantastic stay!

Lovely house and general appearance neat and tidy but on close inspection things were dusty and stove top needed good surface cleaning and a few little issues. On whole still very nice and accommodating, we would recommend highly.

Excellent home to stay
We had a great time and the property worked out great for our family vacation. The view from the decks across the lake, access to the lake for fishing and boating was awesome. The owner was very pleasant and helpful upon check in.

Fine and dandy in Dandridge
We had a wonderful week at Douglas Lake! The house is as beautiful as the pictures and our family of 12 had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy downtime, as well as many games and meals together. The close proximity to downtown Dandridge was nice and we took advantage of the short drive to Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Kent was a great host and we really appreciated the in-person check in to show us around the property and give local recs. The only downside was that the lake access was pretty precarious but once we were in, the water and views were lovely!

Pictures Truly Don’t Do This View Justice
We came down to relax and enjoy family time for Spring Break. Kathy met us at the property to show us around and answer any questions we had. Kent messaged to welcome us and is an absolutely incredible host! This property is perfect for all ages and the location truly has something to offer for everyone. It’s a short drive to the lake, down town Dandridge, and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. We brought our boat and enjoyed fishing during the day, attractions or walking trails in the evening, and family time on the deck at night. Maps make it look like it’s in town, but it’s in a very quiet and very clean suburb. Very clean property and well maintained. We traveled with 3 families ages 5-45. Everyone from the oldest to the youngest had something great to say about the location and access to items of interest. We plan to return to this property again next year. This surpassed all of our expectations! For those traveling with disabilities, I believe the lower level is fully handicap accessible and is equipped with with its own full kitchen, living area, 3 bedrooms, and gorgeous lake views.

East Tennessee Gathering
Property was wonderful. Spacious, updated home located on the lake. Approximately 20 minutes to Pigeon Forge area or Morristown, making it close enough for easy access, yet a million miles from all of the congestion.
We had a group ranging in age from 26 to 86. Everyone was able to have their own space, which is a great benefit when traveling with adults.
Kent was great to work with. He met us at the home to give us a quick tour and answer any immediate questions we had. I contacted once during our stay and he replied within minutes.
I highly recommend this rental for those wanting to visit the Gatlinburg area who prefers to be away from the traffic and congestion. We visit the area multiple times a year, so the area was perfect for us.

Post covid family Thanksgiving
The property was amazing. We had 12 family members aged 18-77 and everyone was so comfortable. The space was great, kitchen so well stocked with dishes, pans, and appliances.
It certainly is commendable that we did not have to reach out to the owner one time during our stay..........everything was in order and exactly as shown and described on the Vrbo listing. Highly recommend this property.

Dandridge Lake House Above and Beyond
This is a fantastic unit. Spotlessly clean, large, equipped and in a great location. Our group stayed at Kent's place for a Knoxville football weekend (Hail to Pitt!) The pictures on-line do not do this place justice. A lot of room, and each and every bedroom was large and comfortable. The big, beautiful rear lakefront patio is outstanding. Kent was great as well. Would highly recommend this rental to anyone. Thanks for your hospitality Kent!

Amazing View
Our family group of 14 included 2 teens and one 5 year old. This beautifully appointed home accommodated each of us in comfort. The house with it’s two kitchens met all our needs. We were particularly impressed with the cleanliness and tasteful decor. The ceramics on display were amazing. We have stayed in several homes through VRBO. This home had the best equipped kitchen, which we thoroughly appreciated.
It would be nice if access to the water was easier

Fabulous Family Vacation on Lake Douglas
Our biannual family vacation with our adult children and 9 grandchildren is a highlight in our family. This home in Dandridge on Lake Douglas provided the perfect setting. Delicious family meals from the smoker and grill made our evening meals wonderful times together as well as the water sports. Boating and fishing were just a few of the daily activities we enjoyed. The kitchen was well stocked with enough room to feed our crew. We look forward to returning for another family vacation as it is a great place to meet in the middle. We highly recommend this home, and hope you make as many good memories as we did.

We had 14 that stayed in the house. Had plenty of room for everyone.
We rented the property for our family vacation. My husband and I, our three children, their spouses, and their children. We fell in love with the house the moment we went in. The view from the back deck is absolutely breathtaking. Any problems that we ran across during our stay Kent took care of immediately. Could not have asked for a better location, property, or property manager. We definitely will be booking in the future.
