The building and location are great! Check in was ok. Upon entering the room we were met with a smell that hit you in the face! It was worse in the center room. It was a moldy mildew smell that someone attempted to cover by spraying way too much air freshener. Upon bringing it to the owners attention, I was told it should be fine, turn the a/c on. Shocker… that did not work. The first bathroom shower was dotted with black mold. We made the best of it, based on plans and proximity to the beach. We ended up at a hotel on the mainland for the end of our stay. I will be reporting this to the county health dept. The whole experience was frustrating.

I just loved this property. The location is perfect - walking distance to so much that I didn’t even need a rental car. If I had to travel farther than walking distance I used Uber. The apartment is very nice, well maintained and clean. The pool on the property is very nice, too. As mentioned in the description, the building is older and at present is undergoing a restoration. This caused no problems for me but is worth noting. Communication with the property manager was fantastic. I will be back next year!

While the price seemed reasonable by the time we added in the 300 cleaning fee for a one night stay we could probably have stayed somewhere nicer for the same price. The pool was wonderfull and the location terrific. The early check in was great but the fron desk did not have that information and it took a while for them to confirm with the manager. The twin room had mold over the radiator and the unit smelled musty.

Owner should be ashamed of this completely outdated minimally furnished property. Not even close to being fair value for the asking price
Shower comes out a dribble.

Yes, this is not a five star property. But it is clean, nice, and comfortable. It's just not renovated, but that is written in the description. They made us wait an hour after check-in to clean the apartment, but we otherwise faced no issues. We had a great time and the property exceeded our expectations! We recommend.

Terrible experience
The unit was filthy. Mold on the fans, dirty very worn carpeting,. We wouldn't consider staying there. We found other accomodat I ons to stay. I had hoped it would be nice because the location was good for us. VRBO should not have it o n their listing or be more upfront about it.

Perfect location and wonderful suite
This is a fantastic find for the best location. A clean two bedroom suite was the perfect place for three weeks in Palm Beach. The manager was very responsive. Thank you!

Unrenovated Property
The description of this property notes that it is unrenovated, and the price reflects the condition. While the location and price are excellent, many people would not consider the condition to be acceptable.

This place is nasty, old, smells, the bathrooms do not work, there is no 'kitchen', etc. Let me describe this.....a poop(VRBO wont allow me to use the appropriate word) hole. The main living area must have had something going on with the floors because there were about 4 layers of rugs pieced together on the floors covering the area. I stayed in the bedroom with the 2 twin beds and the toilet did not work. The first night I flushed pee and poop came up into the toilet, SOMEONE ELSES POOP!!! I emailed the owner/manager and this is the response I got, "Hello
The toilet in the queen room is slow its just the
Design kindly wait until it fills up completely
Hold handle down long time
And should do not use to much toilet paper
Should Be fine
Thank you"
Yea, no....someone else poop in a toilet that I am paying for is not fine. Never once did the manager offer to have someone come fix it. So I had to use the other restroom or the restroom in the lobby of the building. By day 3 the room smelled like poop also.
Additional problems: there is only 1 key, there is no basic furniture, it is beyond nasty, there was other peoples clothes in drawers and junk crammed in closets.
My advice: do not book this property as you will be disgusted

To begin with, the mini fridge was frozen with some strange red liquid and needed defrosting. It might’ve been blood for all I know. I contacted the owner who said it could not be defrosted until we left. Only one of the commodes works. The second one took at least 45 minutes to refill after flushing. There was no couch or loveseat in the living area. The bedroom closet door was completely off it’s hinges with no way to hook back up. The carpet was dirty. The walls are pretty much bare with just nails sticking in them. We would have tried to move out the minute we checked in and saw it, but the entire hotel was completely booked. I would expect at least a partial refund.

Although the condo looked nice online it was not in real life.

Stay for the unmatched location
Close to best restaurants, beaches and shopping the island has to offer. The unit needs a lot of improvements but we managed to have a great time.

Pros are location. Cons are many. Highly disappointed in comparison to the cost and upgrades of other units in the same building we physically toured. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Pay attention to the details. NO REFUNDS, no matter what.
We stayed 11/25-12/3, this is really based on location, location, location, 2 blocks from the beach, 1 block from the Inter coastal Waterway, grocery store across the street. I do NOT suggest this for the price and safety. You can get a studio down stairs for ¼ of the cost with the same living arrangements 2 beds and a full kitchen and it was GORGEOUS. I was very disappointed. One main reason for staying here was the pool. The sun NEVER reaches the pool year round. I asked.
Safety Issues: Metal bedframes NOT attached to anything. My 6 year old daughter cut her leg 2 times on the metal bed frames and I did one time (had to put towels over them to prevent future injuries). The master bathroom closet door fell on me, while I was grabbing clothes.
Pros: The room was as described and had all the amenities in the description, extra amenities like sunscreen, lotion, etc (felt like take a penny, leave a penny), master bed VERY comfortable and I used all 3 extra blankets to stay warm overnight. The AC worked great in the unit. There is a hotel requirement to leave on AC units and ceiling fans on at all times. Someone left extra coffee. Shower head in the 2 single bed room was much more efficient then the master shower head. There was extra items for us like sand toys, pool noodles, beach chairs, etc.
Cons: VERY VERY OUTDATED and needing upgrades. None of the light fixtures were plugged in when we arrived. Carpet, not attached and separated from wall, lumps and rocks underneath that hurt when walking on. Each room had about 3-6 air fresheners in it, very over powering. The living room had 2 rugs over the existing carpet. The Living room doesn’t have a TV, couch or loveseat which is accurate to the description but after being there, I would have liked a more comfortable common area to hang out in. The shower head in the master bathroom was leaking and doesn’t extend out and you have to stand against the wall to shower. The wicker chairs in the living room are unraveling and peeling apart. Bathroom towels had holes in them.
Suggestions: Provide beach towels, provide at least 1 cup of coffee and filters for the next day if arriving late. Provide check out instructions. VRBO only had a phone number listed.

The hotel, staff, pool and veranda were lovely, but our 'condo' was not only a huge disappointment, it was an unacceptable place to stay. The carpeting was old with ripples in it and the outer perimeter of it either had mold or dirt; the main room had 3 layers of either carpet or large throw rugs and were a tripping hazard. The furniture was small - no couch or love seat - just small wicker chairs that were not in good shape. A rickety sofa table was placed right next to the door of the main bedroom and was easy to bump into. The mattresses and pillows should have been thrown out 10 years ago and the sheets were damp all week. The light switches did not work, the lamps were unstable (including one that was damaged and weighed over 50 pounds), the lamp shades were filthy. The metal bed frame stuck out and 2 of us were cut on it.
Also, the bathrooms were unsafe, especially for seniors - each having a tub with a hand-held shower but NO grab bar to hurdle over the tub. All 3 of us were over 70 and this was a huge safety issue for us. The bathroom paint was peeling, the plaster was crumbling, and the sink cabinet in the smaller bedroom was jagged and falling apart - again very unsafe. The sinks in the bathrooms and the kitchen were down to the metal and looked horrible. Every piece of furniture had some type of round plastic container under it, and if anything was moved, the dirt and debris was visible. The kitchen was very tiny and had NO oven, NO stove, NO dishwasher, a hotplate, and a tiny frig which could only be opened with a spoon. I intend to find out who inspects condos in Palm Beach and report the safety issues, including multiple rugs piled on top of one another, filthy rugs, no grab bar in either bathroom, peeling paint, disintegrating plaster, and tripping hazards throughout. The owner should be ashamed to charge an outrageous price for a a run-down, dirty, out-of-date place. And, we were allowed only 1 key for 3 people, forcing us to call whoever had the key to come back and let the other person or persons in. I am so disappointed in VRBO. We will rethink using this service in the future.
Renter beware - this is not where anyone should spend a week's vacation. We all felt ripped off and disgusted. I wanted to leave 10 minutes after arriving It was that bad. I cannot give the condo even a 1 star rating - only the hotel deserves stars for its excellent staff, beautiful pool and veranda.

Nice Beautiful Historic Building in a great area
Unfortunately my trip had to be cancelled early due to a work issue, but the short time I was there I was disappointed I had to leave so soon. Will try again in the future. Palm Beach is great, and the apartment is as per the photos. The owner/manager was very helpful. Thanks!

My eighty-seven year old mother and I spent three nights at the Palm Beach Hotel in November at Property 509981. I chose a two bedroom/2 full bath condo with a common room in the middle and small kitchen so we could have some privacy. The hotel is old...a historical landmark..and is showing its age a bit. There is a lovely pool, no work out facility (although there is a door for one), a laundry room (which we didn't use but does take quarters), and a lovely lobby and front veranda where we had breakfast, bought at Publix which is right across the street, one morning. Parking can be a nuisance. Between 10-6, you have to move the car after an hour, but can leave it between 6pm-10am. Being it was November, and not quite "season" yet, this was not a problem for us. The beach is about a two block walk, again parking can be a problem, but it's doable. The "Trail" where one can walk or ride a bike, is close as are many restaurants. West Palm is right across the bridge, which is close and the airport is only about twenty minutes away. The rooms we rented were very nice. Each room had it's own tv, although it would have been nice to have one to watch together in the common room. In the master bedroom there is a king sized bed with a closet filled with towels, toiletries and hair dryers (there are now two since we left one there) so ask before you go if you need to bring anything. The bath is showing its age and the hand held shower doesn't always stay in the holder making for a wet bathroom shower one day. The sink, tub, and faucet have some aged spots, but the bed and lighting in that room was good. The air conditioner and wifi were fine. The other room, with two twin beds, was also nice, but the blanket could have been nicer (my mom's opinion). Lots of hangers, beach chairs, and other supplies in the closet. There was one broken lamp, but that's easily fixed. I also would recommend trash cans in the bedrooms. The kitchen is small, but we didn't use it except for the microwave since we ate out most of the time. There was another closet that had all sorts of supplies, which was great, from laundry detergent to batteries. We really liked this hotel. The staff was friendly (we bought them our left over food), and the room was clean and suited our needs. Christina was in email contact with us throughout our stay. We know Palm Beach really well and can answer any questions one may have.

Not fit for a homeless person
We got off the elevator and started to smell an mold/musky odor. We got to our room and the photos were very incorrect. I was going to use the bathroom and put the toilet seat down and it was completely covered with mold. All kinds of things were in this condo to try to get rid of odor. Went to very small kitchen the sm frig wouldn't open the whole way, cabinet drawers didn't open the whole way. Open the cabinets under sink and found two empty wine bottles in there put them in trash, and this place was suppose to be clean. Not fit for anyone to live in, needs carpet taken out. Mattress pad cover had stain all over it, bed spreads had sand on it. Parking totally sucks had to move your car every hour or park it several block away, Beach blocks away, this place shouldn't be rented to anyone. We contacted the owner to refund our money, she except us to wait in lobby while she got someone to clean the place. This place needs more then cleaning, everything needs to be trashed and get rid of the MOLD. Health risk, they close school and businesses because of MOLD. you can't just wipe away mold and except everything to be ok. The health department needs to come to this building not fit to live in.

Simple but adequate condo in a perfect location!
This condo was located right in the heart of Palm Beach, within walking distance of everything. My husband and I, along with our teenage son, were in town for a meeting at the Breakers, but the conference rate room block was sold old. We found this gem for a fraction of the Breakers price! We were able to get some basic staples from Publix, which was right across the street, were right by several fantastic restaurants, a five minute walk to the beach, and a short walk to the conference. We loved the historic building, and the huge veranda and pool area were really relaxing at the end of the work day. I will definitely be back!

long weekend
It was in a great spot close to everything. The building had a lot of character. The condo itself was very small and dated but It was clean and well stocked with supplies. The kitchen was tiny and only had a mini fridge and a electric two burner device so staying in and cooking was not really an option. Be very careful with parking, you have to move the car every hour during the day and we missed it one time by 5 min and we had a ticket on the car when we came down to move it again. Overall, for the money this was a good place for a group of 4 people we had a lot of fun and enjoyed the space.

A Charming Apartment with an Excellent Location
I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the property, since it was in a charming old hotel. I'm not sure why the other reviews say this place is a dump, since when I came it was perfectly clean and tidy, with all the appliances I needed to cook a small meal, and the air conditioner worked great and quietly. The location is fantastic, with the beach only about a 5 minutes' walk away, and Royal Poinciana even closer with great shops and restaurants. What was even better was that Publix Supermarket was located only across the street which meant that I could grab lunch and shop for groceries, and a car wasn't needed. Palm Beach was nice and quiet at night, and if I needed a bit of action it was only across the bridge in West Palm Beach. The Concierge and Cristina (The owner) were especially helpful in suggesting things for me and my family to do and we had plenty of space in the room for the whole family if we wanted to spend the night in. There was also a pool on the property which was quite nice, and a Terrace overlooking Sunrise Avenue to have lunch as well. Overall an excellent stay and will be returning soon. Thank you Cristina !

Unfortunately, it's a bit of a dump.
Pros are location. Cons are many. The condition and quality of the rental unit did not meet our expectations when compared to the description provided and the fee charged. For example, we discovered a worm and other insects- including one in a bed. The bathrooms are in poor condition including holes in counters, a broken towel rack, a dirty shower curtain and mold. Only two windows had screens. We lost power two times and had to find the breaker box using a flashlight to restore power. The unit has a very strong, unpleasant (musty/moldy) smell which is made worse by an attempt to mask with glade air fresheners. The air conditioning was very loud but still seemed ineffective. Due to the issues outlined, we asked for a partial refund but were refused. The owner didn't offer a cancellation policy so we were rather stuck, as payment was already issued and it was an event weekend so there was a lack of vacancies elsewhere. This building has other units with other owners. Stay in one of those instead. I wish I could include photos...those would speak for themselves.

Good Owner, Good Location, Good Price
For what it's worth, our stay was very short. We got in pretty late on a Sunday and left around 10am on a Tuesday.
My impression was that the place was functional for our needs. Given the short stay, we did not utilize the kitchen or the pool, as we had planned daily activities. That being said, if I were looking to stay for an extended period of time, I don't know that I would rebook this. It's just a little smaller than I'd like for something more than a couple days. Personal preference though.
All in all, it met my needs pretty well. The owner is very good at responding to your questions and the place was as described in the listing. Really, we couldn't beat the location for the price.

Great Location
We enjoyed our stay at the Palm Beach Paradise Hotel. It was 2 blocks from the beach and 1 block from the Inter coastal Waterway with a nice walking/biking path. You could walk to several restaurants that were very good. A bike store where you could rent bikes was right next door. The room had 2 separate bedrooms with baths but the family room area was quite small. We spent most of our time (when we were at the hotel) on the veranda area. It was very spacious and had a nice breeze flowing through at all times. Over all it was a great location and we would rent again. The hotel was very nostalgic and old but restored nicely. The owner was easy to work with and sent us information on a few areas to check out.

Best Location In Pb
The unit is just as advertised with everything you need for your stay including beach chairs and umbrella. Everything you could want is within walking distance from the condo. We enjoyed the beach, pool and many great restaurants nearby. It also has a beautiful lobby and lanai to relax with a book. Looking forward to a return visit.

Perfect
The apartment was just as advertised - 2 good sized bedrooms en suite. Kitchen had all appliances and dish/pot set up. 2 beach chairs and umbrella (wish there had been beach towels). The internet was spotty in the apartment but strong and easy to connect to in the lobby and by the pool. I was traveling with my 2 grown children and we loved the property (concierge was always helpful and pleasant) and area. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants. The lounge area at the pool was perfect for morning coffee! Cristina could not have been more helpful- she was easy to reach, offered excellent suggestions for restaurants, and accommodated a late check out for us. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend!

Great return visit
Return visit to this historic hotel! Great location and apartment was clean and comfortable. Nice walks to the beach, Breakers Hotel ( don't miss a coffee on the fountain plaza with a view of the gardens), bicycle rental, shops and restaurants of Royal Poinciana. All within easy walking distance. Hotel has a nice pool as well as self serve onsite laundry facilities. If you like biking or walking/jogging there are some nice trails that take you along the intra coastal waterway, with nice views of West Palm Beach. Nearby City Place is a short taxi ride away,. Shops restaurants, and the musical water fountain. Enjoyed the Palm Beach boat show while we were there.
