About this apartment rental

This is a very bright apartment with tons of sunlight, very quiet and beautiful.
Newly renovated.
It has a quite large, 38m2 living area, a fully equipped kitchen, a large bedroom with a wall wardrobe and a bathroom with a bath tub with double entrance from the hall and from the bedroom.
In the bedroom there is a new queen size bed and in the living room there is a sofa, which turns into a bed, so the place works perfect for 2, but its not bad for 3!
It is located in the heart of San Telmo, very near to Plaza Dorrego, one block away from famous bar El Federal, two blocks from San Telmo's Central Market and there are many cozy restaurants, parrillas, cafes and pubs all around as well as design shops and famous bookstores.
Subway line C is only three blocks away and there are many buses going every direction

My experience with the Buenos Aires accommodations, reserved through Homeaway Emerging Markets Pte
My experience with the Buenos Aires accommodations, reserved through Homeaway Emerging Markets Pte Ltd (travelmob), was below my expectations on a number of counts. The property description needs to be modified, deleting the phrase, “very quiet”. Also, the apartment description should reflect two steep staircases from the ground floor. The wife and I rented for a three month period, January 6 through April 4th, so our impressions cover a substantial period of time. January was a quiet month, summer vacation for most Argentinians, but noise was noticeable and persistent into the late night hours, thereafter. Due to air shafts carrying conversations and music, windows could not be opened. To relieve the stuffy hot air, air conditioning was required. We were told by the host, if we exceeded a monthly 350 Ar pesos utility limit, then we would be responsible for the overage. The accommodation host did meet us on the first day of rental, but immediately advised she was living the country the next day for study abroad, so her mother would be our contact during our stay. The accommodation’s host was hurried in her walk-through of the apartment, at times simply pointing to appliances with the presumption of proper operation. She did not test the operation of the television, radio, DVD and CD players. She did mention that the mini-washing machine would vibrate roughly and the shower hot water would take some time to heat up. We asked her about the cleanliness of the apartment, and she stated her mother was in charge of cleaning the apartment. I noticed the rickety dining room table chairs with seat stuffing hanging and taped support chair rods. After unpacking, we examined the refrigerator freezer which had not been defrosted. Further, the dining room wall paint was flaking, as a result of dampness. The painted concrete kitchen floor was flaking and cracking at the seams with the wooden dining room floor. After our first night, we found dead one inch cockroaches in the corner of the bedroom and living room. After I vacuumed and mopped the floor, we did not have any recurring cockroach problems. Though the flaking paint from the kitchen floor was a constant issue, requiring the rugs to be shaken and the floors to be sweep, daily. We rolled up two shaggy rugs under the living room cabinet, since they were discolored and needed to be dry cleaned, in particular the white rug was grey. After a week, the mother did visit the apartment to show us how to operate...
