We have with three tables, lots of seating, gas grills, a fire pit, and an ornamental fishpond. Enjoy sitting under the stars at night with a cocktail or roasting marshmallows around the fire pit. Grill out or just play a game of horseshoes

Our TVs are Firestick and Roku. We ask that you do not download any movies or apps that have a fee unless the fee is charged to your account. Since VRBO will only calculate for one dog, a payment request will be sent for additional dogs. Dewey Beach is pet-friendly for dogs on the beach before 9:30 AM and after 5:30 PM during the summer season and any time after September 15th – May 15th. We are the ONLY beach town in Delaware that does allow dogs on the beach in summer. We will provide a copy of our pet rules. Dogs must have a Dewey Beach dog license which may be purchased at the town hall at 105 Rodney Ave., YOU MUST LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE BRINGING A DOG PRIOR TO COMING!! Showing up with a dog without notice will result in doubling the pet fee. Please note: our pet fee is per dog per day-night so if you are bringing more than one dog you will be invoiced for any additional dogs since VRBO doesn't have a way to select the number of dogs coming. Now that Covid-19 is not as bad, our beds will again have mattress pads, pillows, and our beachy comforter sets. You will need to bring your own linens and towels as we do not supply them. if you don't wish to bring them, we can provide linens and towels for a fee.
You are accepting our rental agreement by reserving. Please read it over carefully. Your safety is our main concern, and every effort is being made to make your stay as comfortable and worry-free as possible. There are security cameras in place.
We do recommend that "Cancel for any reason trip insurance" be purchased in the event your reservation needs to be canceled because ensuring your vacation is your responsibility.

CLEANING: We take pride in offering a very clean nonsmoking apartment and appreciate your care to make sure it stays that way. We have cleaners come in after each guest leaves to make sure everything is ready for the next guest. You are expected to perform normal everyday cleaning, take out the trash, run the dishwasher, and put the clean dishes away. It is the responsibility of the GUESTS to make sure the apartment is left in the same condition as found. Additional cleaning will be charged additional fees.
WIRELESS INTERNET is provided by an outside company and is free of charge. While this service is provided it is not guaranteed and we are not responsible should it not be available or for any problems that may occur from its use. WIFI login information will be provided prior to check-in

The location is great. The landlords are nice, but they live right upstairs, so they are always around. The house was a bit musty—mold and mildew were growing on the walls. This is definitely not good for anyone with respiratory or allergy issues—my son got sick. The temperature is very difficult to control—the AC comes in from the third floor, and there are also window units—more cold than hot, which is good, I guess. Backyard while nice, attracts many bugs/ flying insects due to pond/ fountain making it very buggy. There was a leak from the ceiling into one bedroom and the kitchen. Very old looking inside and not bright enough lighting at nighttime. While convenient, have rented better places in Dewey for sure. Dog fee was astronomical- much higher that I have had to pay anywhere else.

Dell and Larry were such gracious and sweet hosts. We absolutely loved their home and cannot say enough about it. It was very clean and spacious. I think the beds were the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on at the beach and we go away every year. The backyard was so amazing. Our dog loved their dog Mollie and is so sad to be back home. We all enjoyed our stay so much, we didn’t want to leave. You can’t beat the location as well. All of our friends are now fighting over who is going to rent it next time. We are so happy that we made lifelong friends with Dell and Larry as well.

We loved this beach property. It was roomy and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The big fenced in backyard was fantastic and it was great to have since we brought our dog. The owners were so friendly and responsive. The beach was just a short walk away. We enjoyed many early morning and evening walks on the beach at times when dogs are allowed.

Excellent beach option
We had an excellent stay here for a family trip. There are certain things that could be done to make the house better*, but overall it met our needs. The location can’t be beat and we would come back. The backyard area was also fabulous.
*It’s got a lot of extra decor, fake plants, and furniture that take up space needlessly and make moving in our stuff for an extended stay (with babies) a bit of a pain. There was also a large stain on the living room wall that looks like mold but might just be water damage or old wallpaper glue. Regardless, a little Killz and paint and it would not have been a second thought for us when we started getting a little stuffy. Small rugs/mats could use to be washed.

Amazing weekend vacation!!
We had a group of 7 staying for the weekend to celebrate a birthday. The owner was very responsive and was available when we needed anything. The house is in a great location and is well kept. We all enjoyed ourselves and would definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Weekend Getaway
This is a great house, in a perfect location and very close to the beach! The house is larger and more spacious than the pictures make it look, which was great. The backyard is one of the best parts of the house with grills, seating, and fire pit! The host was absolutely wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Super comfortable, Fun, Well maintained, An absolute gem
We stayed here on Memorial Day Weekend 2017 and it exceeded every expectation we had. It was right on the beach and in the center of dewey, right near all the restaurants, shops, and bars. The apartment itself was cozy and so nicely decorated. The real treat was the backyard, which featured two powerful outdoor showers, a campfire pit, and three gas grills. We were able to have a little mini barbecue and everything! The landlords are absolutely excellent, very respectful of privacy but right upstairs if you need anything. They even helped us get a fire started. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a great place for your next beach vacation!

Great vacation stay!
I stayed with a group of friends at this beautiful Dewey home over Memorial Day Weekend. It was absolutely beautiful and only steps from the beach. The house was clean, spacious and our hosts were very kind. The backyard is definitely the best part of the house. It's very spacious, has an awesome fire-pit, mosquito torches, benches, grills, and more. Great for a weekend barbecue. The bedrooms are small but clean and very nice. The kitchen is renovated.
Most important, the house is only steps from restaurants and bars in Dewey. I'd go back in a second.
Fun fact: Dell is the former mayor of Dewey Beach, DE!

We vacationed in this apartment for 2 years with our 1 child age 7, 2 dogs a Yellow Lab and a Pomeranian; 2009 & 2010 who all love the beach. The owners are great, friendly, helpful and it was nice to know when we need them they were right there. The house is 3 buildings from the beach and this unit is not blocked but those houses. “AWESOME”! Being so close to the beach was great and the view from the living room apartment is of the beach and ocean. The new renovations made in the last couple of years are very done with a tasteful eye. The only thing lacking was a deck but we loved going out into the back yard to use the grill provided, sit by the fire (I think they even provided the wood). The outside showers after long days at the beach are wonderful they even have hot and cold water. They provided everything we needed to cook and a hose to wash off the dogs after walks on the beach and to clean off our beach chairs. The apartment only has 1 wall unit air-conditioner in the living room but don’t let that scare you; it was powerful enough to do a good job in the bedrooms that also have ceiling fans. The bathroom is a bit snug and the mattresses I would have preferred to be more firm but still this is a comfortable place to stay for a week or more. The other 2 units they have in this house will give you other great options to enjoy. Like the first floor unit if you need larger spacious accommodations, central air-condition easy access to the back yard deck, only one step up to get to and one step down to the front street where you can park. Each unit has 1 parking place but you can get a weekly or daily permit and park right there out side your unit with one or two cars. The unit in the back has a deck overlooking the back yard to keep an eye on your kids from the unit.
